We view CaptainBlackbeard Radio, as existing and being created in
different eras. We feel a new era began with #17 and has exploded with

this project. When we started, we loved bringing ye classic film epics,
because we wanted to give ye the best possible auditory thrill ride and
hopefully have ye feel the wonderful feelings we did when we experienced
those epics. However, now, with this new technology. We can create
everything, ourselves. Everything ye hear in this episode, outside of the
opening, was created with current generation or the previous generation
technology. This is game changing in every way imaginable.
We had a lot of fun, pushing our AI Voice Actors to their limits. We hope
ye enjoy it as well. As with all our broadcasts, this one is highly
experimental. But we think this is one of the best stories and productions
we have ever put together.
Mates, this is the most exciting and wonderful thing we could be doing in
right now. The technology used in this project has exploded into a golden
age. This project has advanced from beginning with completely archaic,
difficult to understand, 1980s technology. To now mind bending, reality
shattering incredible technology that is advancing so quickly, with each
generation being game changing. This technology will change the world and
completely shift the creative balance away from the current monopolized
power structures. Much like how animation is an altered medium where
anything is possible visually. This new technology is exactly that but

How can I wipe an encrypted hard drive?
They brought this Alienware 17 R4 laptop into the shop because they couldn't boot it
It had it's BIOS locked behind a password, and I got the master password for it from a kind soul in some forum, It now asks for an HDD password which I don't have, and nobody's replying after I asked for the HDD password lmao
I asked the owner, and she told me it's alright if I wipe it.
However, I couldn't manage to wipe it through Disk Manager "Virtual Disk Manager: Invalid function" or through DiskPart "DiskPart has encountered an error: Incorrect function. See the System Event Log for more information."
Booting through Gparted, it wouldn't load the drive at all: "fsyncing/closing /dev/sdc: Input/Output error," even when the drive is recognized when booting through Linux Mint. I don't know how much about Linux either, but I tried to format from there as well with the basic tools, but that didn't work either. I don't remember the error code, though.
I tried to boot through ShredOS, but at some point it went to 200 KB/s. Hard drive is 1TB, so that would've taken forever and I really don't want to wait that long. If it's the only option I guess I'll go with that one, though.
What can I do now? Anybody got any ideas?

I am looking for a swaeh engine I can access without the internet. Is there a search engine I can access by calling a number on the telephone? The search terms would be entered by the dial pad and then converted by a computer on the other end and entered on Google and the results would be red out by an automatic speech program over the telephone. A similar concept to F.I.S.T. by Steve Jackson.

Media and business sites are no longer loaded and can't be used properly, buttons can't be pressed anymore so pages are partly or fully broken! This is what more and more pages adopt, as it is the NEXT BIG THING! The Palemoon team failed in the past to implement highly complex features and the only solution so far was in the end to adopt fresh engines from Mozilla on a regular base, something which is NO LONGER POSSIBLE as future Firefox engines have not the features the Palemoon team sees as vital! Get slowly ready to start the search for a new browser to which you can switch in the near future - the best and most logical time in doing so is NOW!

While we all should be grateful for Gaming4JC and his attempts to bring over some code lately - Google Web components is TOO BIG - Seamonkey guys don't have it inside their new new 2.53 - which is based on Firefox 56. Waterfox - using the same code - also has issues. And if it is already problematic with Firefox 56 based code... how big is the chance to succeed with Firefox 52 based code? With the help of only one skilled guy? My suggestion is try as much as other possible browsers now to make the switch when it is forced on you as less annoying as possible.

This is the only board I can think to post this. So about a month or so ago, I lost my microsoft account to a hacker, I had just about every security measure known to man, except 2fa like a dummy. Long story short, I cannot recover it in any way since he removed my recovery email, and phone and put his own on there, and I cannot seem to give microsoft enough info for an account recovery form. Rather I did once, and he just got right back in and cancelled my recovery process, since I couldn't remove his email or put 2fa on my acccount. Im here asking for help to getting my account back, I've never done anything wrong, and that is around 20 years of my life just gone. If anyone can just.. hack into it for me and remove his email and put my own recovery email on there, I would be forever in your debt. I know, not my personal army. Project Odin
So I just started following this whole Odin Project by Ron Watkins and I am interested in learning more about it. Let's do an overview, shall we?
Zeronet - an FBI honeypot that collects users IP addresses and VPN services, which was later proven by the Daily Beast after the IPs of thousands of 08chan users was leaked.
Tor - same as above, in that the FBI can backdoor your privacy as proven in many hidden service takedowns, but also the Tor project team are massive shitlibs who denounced the Daily Stormer and cut off their exit nodes so that Anglin and Weev had to use custom ones just to keep the site up and running. And Tor websites aren't immune to DDoSing as we've seen with 8kun.
Lokinet - a new experimental Tor alternative, but is still in it's beginning phase so it's vulnerable to attack, but the dev team are otherwise ideologically aligned with 8kun.
Odin - a new alternative that is currently under development and has yet to be released. But the only question is: will it survive prolonged attacks by activists once up? Only time will tell.
So yeah, Tor obviously can still host wrongthink content when it's not under constant attack, but same with Loki. Zeronet is garbage, while Odin has yet to be released. It is Jim/Ron's latest project after Susucoin.

How do you get this power into a program/server that isn't based on javashit? Let's say you want to make an imageboard server in C++, or a server for your videogame. Are there libraries in C/C++ that do it? Is there some part of the Go ecosystem that does it?
There's systems like DPDK, Netmap, and XDP that supposedly accomplish something along this line, but they seem too low level and hard to research to me, it's very hard to get started with them. I want something higher level, but not so high that I need to install a bloated javascript shit factory.

My idea is this;
1) Speak normally into microphone
2) Software takes voice patterns and, replicates them using an AI generated voice.
If someone uses a normal voice disguising software, you can get close to the original voice if you know what effects were applied to it.
One nice thing about voice, is of course, that we don't just communicate with words but with inflections, pauses, drawing out a word...etc.
To hide the original voice entirely, could an AI generated voice simply mimick it? That way no amount of reverse engineering will get you to the original voice.

So it seems that search engines, the internet, instant messaging, Windows OS, Intel hardware, cell phones and firewalls and antiviruses are all Jewish. Guys, i did some HUGE shit by mistake, i was using testdisk and from analyzing disk data I set an option to Maximize Extended Disk Space in an attempt to re-allocate some unpartitioned free disk space into my current archlinux system.
What it actually did was destroy the last Disk Partition where I actually had stored all my study projects, passwords, links, instructions.
This very partition now exists as unallocated free space. How do I recover that data?
Testdisk seems like a lost cause for this now. :(

The third, and less widely understood form of power transmittal is in the form of impulse current or pulsed power. If you were to measure currents like this on an Oscilloscope (assuming this is over a conventional electric circuit) it would take the form of what is called a damped wave.
From what I understand, When these types of electric currents are pulsed directly into the earth, they emit another form of energy that propagates through and along the surface of and through the planet in the form of Sommerfeld-Zenneck waves.

Fuck every major phone OS but especially fuck jewgle and its 'open-source' android, 90% of which is preinstalled bloatware and spyware. Fuck having no possibility to do anything except push pre-existing buttons. Am/was I hacked?
So I’ve got a couple questions, since I’m not technically literate hardly, this comes off as quite problematic but anyways, when I tried updating an app on the google play store, it wouldn’t update and it was taking too slow. Another problem is that when I restarted my phone, it looked like it was going through the same process as when I bought it (ie all the logos and stuff) and my notifications were cleared and instead I found new ones that said that somebody attempted to log in to my email through dropbox and it was coming from an unknown ip and a couple mp4s were downloading on Chrome, so I cancelled them. Also, this new icon appeared that looked like either a chess symbol or a keyhole and a wrench icon next to it. Another thing is that I’m starting to receive notifications from reddit when I didn’t before and earlier when I tried to watch a video with my earphones on, as I tried to turn the volume up, it would just use my ringtone instead of video audio and it was almost like my earphones weren’t connected. Any help?
Also I scanned it with AVG and it found 1 risk on my phone, so I went to settings and turned on the antivirus and scanned again and it detected no risks.
And also, not only that, but the photos I tried to download from Dropbox only just now appeared in my photos after I did this. Something fucky is going on.
Also, my phone started to get REALLY slow, so I decided to factory reset it. As for more details, after factory resetting it, when I went to post on 4chan, I accidentally tapped the name option and saw a name I never put there (Kayla) and earlier received a suspicious personal email saying "I need proof you are real before I send a pic what is two plus two?" And it wasn't marked as spam for some reason. Any help from any tech experts?

I found really good stuff i forgot i had, and i want to keep. Some of them are in 7z files, and i can't find the passwords, i remember copy pasting from the website directly and then after a while i deleted the files from my computer and forgot to save the passwords.
I tried cracker software using brute force, but it can take months since some of the passwords might be complicated.
Do you know any way i can get the files without the password?

Manjaro Gnome keeps freezing
For some reason my computer seems to be very unstable. I have hunch that it might be because of my graphics card (5500 XT) or Gnome. I'm experiencing the same problem after switching from Ubuntu to Manjaro Gnome. The main difference being that Ubuntu wouldn't recognise my GPU and I had to install AMD's bash script (Which trashed the OS). Manjaro has no such problems, yet the main problem persists.
My $2,000+ AUD computer doesn't feel like a powerful machine that could do anything. Instead, it feels more like a buggy mess that could freeze at any second. Even if I only use Brave Browser, it still freezes about twice a day. When doing something like screen capture, video editing, or even just looking a pictures (gthumb), then at its worst, I'll have to do about 6 hard-resets per day. 'Snapping' a window to one side of the screen seems to be a guaranteed way of making the computer freeze up.

The motherboard by default limits the Ram speed to 2133 Mhz. I've booted Memtest and received no errors. Since then, I've changed the settings so that they run at their advertised speed of 3200 Mhz. Apart from that, I haven't overclocked or undervolted any of the components. The chassis also has a Noctua NF-A14 (140mm fan) for the CPU and the air-flow feels cool. When I learn how to install and use a suitable AUR program that substitutes the software provided by NZXT, I'll be able to check if the AiO pump is working or not. I want to do this before abandoning the Gnome ship. Is there something I'm missing?

Why do some people think that the * belongs to 'foo' instead of 'int'? The type of foo is not int, it's a pointer, the value it has is a memory address, so clearly the * is part of the type. foo is not even defined, it's NULL which makes sense for a pointer, but not for an int.
In fact I think the most logical syntax would be "*int foo = NULL;".

Linux Users Going Their Own Way
It's time for linux users to go our own way. The whole "GNU"/linux ecosystem - more appropriately called the freedesktop/systemd/gnu/chromium/linux operating system.
* The red hat goons basically own the userspace now. If you want to make changes to your system you can send a patch and it wil get dropped. They essentially have 100% control, linux desktop will conform to their vision alone.
* polkit and dbus.. what do these things even do? Yet you have them on your computer most likely.
* GNU glibc is bloated and full of bugs *that GNU software depends on* and it is pro abortion.
* ls / gives about 50 things. for "historical reasons": Translations, if you try to make it simple like 4 or 5 directories all with a clear and distinct purpose every piece of software in existence would break because it's all badly written.
* every single programming language has its own fucking package manage that fights against all the other package managers. Is this a joke? Why are programmers, supposedly smart people, allowing this to happen?
* You have all this FUCKING GARBAGE that is overcomplicated and nobody likes like: systemd, polkit, dbus, gsettings XML schemas. None of this stuff makes sense, the documentation is unhelpful and the systems themselves violate standard UNIX design ideas - I wouldn't have a problem with that if they had actually improved on things.
* The web browser is about 80% of the linux desktop experience now. And while it's technically free software it's nearly monopolized (firefox is digging its own grave) and it's basically impossible to make changes to. lets be honest here.
* The shell's fucked. Try writing a shell script that correctly processes a list of files that might have spaces on tabs in the names. You can do it if you study but everything takes work when it should be simple. Programming with lists of strings shouldn't be so tricky.
* The core sets of software has so much historical baggage that could be cleared away. Did you know ./configure tests if your system uses EBCDIC instead of ASCII? configure performs millions of checks, yet the software usually doesn't work either way.
How about a simple init system that doesn't reimplement half UNIX in a buggy way?
It's time for linux users to go our own way, let's have a simple operating system based on clear understand principles with man pages that explain everything you need to know. There's so much more that could be said but I'm sure you have your own complaints too.

The Friday 13 update is causing the blue screen of death. I figured why this is happening. The hard drive gets too busy. If you can get your computer started first thing you do is uninstall the update. Uninstalling the update forces the hard drive to work at 50 percent.

What do you think of the Freedesktop organization? To me they are kind of hit or miss, with excellent contributions such as the Xorg open source drivers for AMD and libraries such as libinput, and god awful projects that only worsened the absolute state of Linux such as systemd, pulseaudio and dbus. It doesn't help that the Freedesktop organization is backed by spurious companies such as jewgle and in(t)cel, so when they mandate shitty standards onto Unix-like operating systems it is bound to be applied whether you like it or not.

Merkury bluetooth earphones
I found these and installed them on my laptop. The first thing that happened is the regular speaker and earphones stopped working. Uninstalling the Merkury didn't work. I had to uninstall the AMD and Realtek software and restart the laptop. HP will reinstall software automatically on reboot. The Merkury also reinstalled and I can't get rid of it. The speakers and earphone work fine as long as I don't use the Merkury again. Also the Merkury will some times refuse to pair with the laptop. This is nothing but malware from China that disables your computer and allows third parties to listen in on what you are doing.
I have a few interesting webpages I saved using the 'save page as' in Firefox, because I knew they wouldn't last long. Now when I try and open the html file for a particular page, none of the images load. What gives? I know for sure the images exist in folders corresponding to the html file, they just aren't showing up.
Turning a smartphone into a wi-fi range extender
I have an old smartphone (Sony) that I am not using anymore but I would like to use it as a wi-fi repeater. Using android settings to make it so it would tether it just disconnects from the wifi (apparently needing the connection of the sim card to work), but I would like to use the wi-fi coming from a router in my house.
All the poo in the loos online keep telling me to install third party software on it to do so, but is there any other way to achieve it?

I didn't see a QTDDTOT so pardon me for asking here. It's been over a year since i've messed with a cell phone and never knew much about them anyways. it used to be you could buy a burner for $20 bucks that came with minutes/texts that also didnt expire every 30 days.
does this still exist?
walmart wants 20-30 for a phone and then 40 (with tax) every 30 days just to be able to text.
i am a vpn user that cannot get on: twitter, youtube, skype, periscope etc etc without providing a cell number so they can text me, which is all i need this for. none of the "free sms texting" sites have ever worked for me.

So, I was looking around for a privacy-focused browser, not being completely satisfied with the typical options, and I came across this project.

It seems to have a shady background in Russian cybercriminal circles. It is closed source, yet claims to have a focus on privacy, while enabling anonymity and freedom. It is based on Chromium, and claims to have removed all of the typically included google spyware, and unverifiable claim for reasons you understand. It has a few decent security features such as identity switching and emulating, as well as an OTR mode, which supposedly restricts the program to saving to RAM.

Spyware Watchdog seems to have found no obvious security issues. I'm not totally confident in their opinion.
As you can see from the above link, there seems to be a paid version of the browser, which from what I can tell predates the more recent free version.
Let me know what you folks think of this program. I'm currently hesitant to use it, but if what it claims is true it would make for a very good option.
