>Upgrade to Windows 10.

No thanks, I got rid of the shitty Windows 8.1 my laptop came with and when I wanted to install Windows on it again chose a pirated copy of Windows 7 for a reason.

Just get yourself one of these if you get Windows 10 anyway:

https://www.w10privacy.de/english-home/

It makes sure Windows 10 stays about as botnet-free (if not more) as 7.

The new 3.4 version comes with tons of refinements (after a year of waiting)...

Until you realize that even if you're running w10privacy windows 10 will still be making nearly 3,000 connections per night all without your consent

Enjoy getting fucked by the plethora of Windows 7 vulnerabilities out in the wild. There is zero reason to still be using Windows in ==current year==.

Windows 7 has never been secure, not sure why anyone would give a fuck now while it's losing market share and becoming less relevant. Besides if you somehow managed to get modern viruses and ransomware cancer on your machine and don't have external backups Microsoft's incompetencies are the least of your worries
