Please tell me there is a hidden 4th non-mobile OS.

FSF endorsed distros such as Trisquel GNU/Linux-libre use a fork of the linux kernel that does not contain any non-free blobs, and incidentally is not affected by the new code of conduct.

"Trisquel does not include the vanilla Linux kernel you can find at the Linux project servers, but a cleaned up version of Ubuntu's version of the kernel."

What the hell did Torvalds do?

I saw that faggy "sorry for being an asshole I'm gonna go get therapy to not be an asshole" email he sent out on the 16th, but did something else happen?

Linux is getting a new Code of Conduct which tosses out meritocracy in favor of egalitarianism. Coding is finally getting the full girth of the SJW movement, as have many disparate fields of interest. These fucking parasites are crawling into everything and latching on, it's sickening to watch.

Best question: do we need to stop it?

Meritocracy still works best. Let them crash their plane. Build off of the not-shitty versions we had before this, and make a better product. Same as it's always been.

it won't affect the kernel much

how long have you been here without knowing about BSD?

Cucking attracts people who hold politics in higher regard than skills and favor other people who do the same.

Reminder that poltards are cucks that don't even produce anything except for memes and trying to align your work with their worldview is a folly because they will manage to connect it to jews somehow.

Avoid using modern hardware on the BSDs though. Their driver for GCN3 AMD APUs sucks ass. I recommend buying Thinkpads E455 or E555, they will make use of the more stable radeon driver since they come with Kaveri APUs (GCN2)

You seem to think this whole "communist infiltration" thing is just for the principle or something. It's "just the tip" now, just like how gay rights went from "privacy of our bedrooms" to "bake the cake, bigot."

Intredasting. I guess that would also get around the missing cores problem where OpenBSD refuses to use insecure CPU tech, since older machines probably won't have that in the first place. Kind of like there's no upside to using newer shit.

The problem with the driver is not even OpenBSD's fault. I think amdgpu was released back in 2016, OpenBSD took 3 years to implement it (in 2019, on version 6.6) and even then, because of some bug in the driver that normally wouldn't cause a deadlock on Linux, it's usage will often implicate in crashes. If you are building a desktop for use with OpenBSD (or any BSD as well I guess) I suggest reading man.openbsd.org/radeon and see which card is the best for you to use. If you intend to buy a laptop for use with OpenBSD, buy one with a Kaveri APU if you don't care about dedicated graphics.
