Imagination can be used to create an object that is not made of matter, an object that can't be found anywhere in the world, for it exists solely within your consciousness.
Then, you might choose to describe said object to other people using your body. For this, our immaterial object must influence your body: it must transfer some information and energy to your body.
And so this energy, born whenever some craving is present in your consciousness, enters your body and changes it in accordance with your desires. This is how energy can be created, and energy is what all matter in this world is made of.
This energy can be used for many things. When you wish to know something, it enters your brain. And after it spends some time there doing who knows what, a new idea forms in your consciousness.
This energy can also be used to sense something, like when you wish to know how your foot or some other part of the body feels. And the image of your foot will form in your consciousness. And if you wish for it strongly enough, you will keep experiencing your foot for quite some time, until the energy is exhausted.
And if you think about it, your existence as a human is exactly this: something just repeatedly forces you to experience your body, again and again. This is what we call our life energy, the foundation of our current existence.
Now, happiness. If you're observant, you might notice that the more you crave, the more energy your consciousness is utilizing right now to interact with the physical world - the worse you feel. This means, in short, that what is known as happiness is just a state where only a small amount of energy is used. And what is known as anguish is a state where a large amount of energy is used.
