Post the last book(s) you have read. It would be nice if you add a synopsis or review as well, but it's not a requirement. Just seeing a snapshot of what other image-board anons are reading is itself awesome.

New feature for 2018! This thread is set to Cycle mode. Here's to a forever book reading thread.

>primary suffering ontologically cannot be erased, even through divine power

why?

well even through divine intervention, it cannot change the fact that suffering was actually experienced. nothing can, it happened and once it happened it can't be changed, how could it? the qualia was experienced.

>god created a system with a sort of existential irreversibility and then added suffering into it

how is this not reckless and incredibly evil

How do you deal with noisy neighbors/surrounding while reading.

Like other great geniuses, like Kant, Schopenhauer etc. I find any kind of noise - except nature sounds like birds - disrupting. I find human sounds, especially talking, absolutely disturbing and driving me nuts. As a subhuman living in an apartment building and one of the neighbors is an old fuck who watch her retarded TV programs like 10 hours a day, it is not super loud, but loud enough to disturb my reading and rest.

How do you cope? White/brown noise, ear plugs, music, public libraries?

Back when everyone was a farmer, everyone wanted to be a lord in the castle, having lots of delicious things to eat. Now, so many spend most of their lives indoors, eating delicious things, yet now everyone wants to be farmers. Is this just a case of "grass is greener?" Will I not be happier if I have my own land? I feel like it's hard to argue that raising a family is as easy in a city as it is on a 10-acre lot, out in the countryside…

Fuck off, Frank. No one reads your shitty books, no one cares that you're alive, you live all by yourself in a 540 sq. ft. studio apartment on the 38th floor of a 100-year-old building in a crummy part of Chicago, your parents ditched you there and fucked off to Florida, you have no prospects, and you're most likely diabetic from your awful diet of delivery food and alcohol, but you never go to the doctor, so you'll probably die, alone and unlamented, before you turn 40. Your YouTube channel is 100% astroturfed, you pay for views/likes/subscribes, you have zero organic engagement, and you're fooling absolutely no one, not even yourself. But to answer your question, people can decide for themselves by downloading your entire cacas librorum from https://files.catbox.moe/d9sukc.zip, or better yet, they can read two mean-spirited parodies of your work: Call Of United Airlines at https://files.catbox.moe/aw9gz2.pdf or Call Of Wells Fargo at https://files.catbox.moe/rpuvnd.pdf. Burn in hell, asshole.

The best depiction of femdom is SM Stirling's novel Drakon, which besides the femdom is clever and hilariously satirical. A close second is various episodes in the Flashman papers, which has two interesting things about it, firstly that the Flashie novels are well researched historical novels, so these women actually existed, and secondly that their author worked on the first two 1980s Superman movies and on Octopussy, so there's clearly femdom themes in there.

Sorry if you're not into femdom. Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty novels are pretty good.

The Captain underpants movie coming out lately has got me thinking.

If someone like say, Netflix, ever did another adaptation of the classic Wayside School books, one where Louis Sachar actually had input(like he did with Holes), which art style would be most aesthetically pleasing to use?

I would also like to read such a book. But everyone advises not exactly those books that interest me. And there is not enough time for reading. Recently wrote at university about costco, used https://graduateway.com/essay-examples/costco/ for this. I don't like to do this. When I wasn't in college, I had a lot of free time.
