If you're curious about me, I was on /sthg/ from its creation in 2014 until a few months ago, and now I'm here every day contemplating the fast. I've always been low profile so I've never used a name, and I plan to keep it like that.

How come they didn't just make all the humans have Eggman's overall style (with obvious changed to fit their sexes, builds, etc.)? Eggman didn't fit with the other humans overall in Adventures, had to get his design radically changed, and Unleashed had the humans be Pixar rejects.
Even Puyo's humans would be better.

Sonic Time Corruption - A Classic Sonic fan game
Hello /fast/,
The name's MrLevRocks, Lev for short, and I want to present you with a fan game that a few guys and me have been working on.
I missed the mark making it the first fan game presented here, some anon got that honour, but alas…
Anyways, you might be wondering what Sonic Time Corruption (logo send) is and why I chose to present it here.
For starters, it's just a plain classic-flavour Sonic fan game lead by me. As you can tell from the title, it's got something to do with time and indeed that is the main concept of it. It's similar to Sonic CD in structure, but has some differences in how it plays out.
Story-wise, I can't add much more either, Robotnik stole the Master Emerald, went to a new island of the week called Northwood Island where the Time Stones are, hijinks ensue.
Now as to why I chose to post about it here. You may have noticed, I have yet to mention what actually is done. Don't worry, I'm not coming in empty handed, that'd be rude, but the small team and I lack the capacity to make something of scale. I'm personally an artist myself and what we, what I, am looking for is a programmer that is familiar with the GameMaker Language used in GameMaker Studio (1.4, in our case). I'm looking more for reliability and availability myself, rather than raw skill, but I'll tell you the reason for that next post. As for myself, you can look up my online handle above and easily find accounts of mine, proving that I'm not just bluffing, I too do my part in bringing my vision (technically not mine, but that's a story I don't want to have to type out now, ask if you're interested) to life.

Alright, I went through to trouble to.put up some notes I had for a "reimagining" for Sonic Lore. The trick is that it goes with Genesis Era lore with implications and similar (see the OVA) first then ignores or remakes the rest.
>The talking animals are ultimately more or less a cross between DnD’s elf varieties and the indigenous inhabitants of places like Hawaii or pre-Roman France. They’re nature’s beings who largely live in forested land, caves, islands etc. They do use modern tech when they need to or it interests them, have modern enough homes, but they don’t have any notable “civilization” (as in huge cities like Starlight Zone, armies like the Resistance in Forces) whatsoever. That’s really a humie thing. That said, enough of them do come over to visit the humies (hence Ricki and Co. being in that Sonic the Cop game) or have been integrated into human controlled land.
>Characters like Vector the Croc or Amy Rose, Rouge the Bat or even Ms. Whisper were raised in human-ran areas.
>Angel Island was the remnants of an overall human-ruled empire that employed Echidnas as a warrior class. The Echidna warriors under Pachacamac pulled a Mamluke and hijacked the empire, then they tried to seize the Chaos Emeralds leading the empire falling to trash (guess who did it).
>Dr. Eggman wants to mechanize the whole world since he thinks it’d make the whole world into one giant playground where everyone has fun. Especially including him. He doesn’t really realize the harm in what he’s doing. He sincerely believes what he’s doing helps the world.
>Sonic is a friendly lone drifter all the way from his home in Christmas Island. He’s a hero to the world. Perhaps he’s a runaway. Perhaps he fled to protect his home.
>Tails is a little boy who suffered bullying for his tails. He got into tinkering from getting his hands on a ditched British sports car.
> Little Planet is a thing, a human-ruled lost civilization (see statue).
>Blaze is a princess from a world that’s the other-way around from the “main” world (the animals hold all the major civilization while humans live in islands and stuff). Captain Whisker is there but Nega isn’t since Nega is bleh.
>Eggman invades Christmas Island since he noticed its magicalness. He catches wind of Sonic’s speed and plans to use him.
>No Black Arms and much of 06’s plot never ever happens.

Make Up A Zone Theme
So with Green Hill now becoming the defacto first stage for Sonic games, this gets me thinking maybe Sonic Team literally has no ideas for new zones anymore.
Do you have any original zone themes that you've come up with that you think would be dope in a Sonic game?
We've yet to see a disco zone, I think that could be cool if handled right.

I will be as polite and upfront as I can, and saying no is ok, I just want to hear your thoughts because it's just an idea and I wouldn't force it if users weren't interested:
Would a discord server for /fast/ be a bad idea?
The one for /sthg/ is filled to the brim with drama and SJWs. Quality of users & their content, and preserving the culture that 8chan and half-chan have always had, would take maximum priority. It would never become a replacement for /fast/, just a companion for users who want to grow a bit closer to each other.

First Sonic news of the year: Both Sonic Mania and the Collector's Edition will be ported to the Nintendo Switch by Tantalus Media, the same company who helped port The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to the Wii U.
