I bought the Tomy Super Sonic plush at Target on New Year's! The cashier even price matched it for me down to $14 from the original $25! It's a great plush and the fur is nice and soft. Though he has this issue that I think he shares with the classic Super Sonic plush and that's that the white part above the shoe goes up a bit too much and shows the yellow of his leg. Otherwise I really like it and I'm glad I bought it.

I also wonder if GE getting a license means TOMY's license is expiring or something. Ever since Boom came out they seemed to have an exclusive license and nobody else made stuff during that time. In any case, I doubt changing the main company or adding new ones would change a lot, the west's merchandise has for the most part always seemed to be much more limited in creativity than the merch in the east for some reason, so I guess it has to do with Sega.

if Tomy is losing the license then I'm glad. Most of their stuff is really low quality and they push out ugly recolored figures like the translucent Sonic/Tails in the catalogue, that awful Sonic Boom Tails covered in oil, etc. It's all so lazy. Some of the plushies are decent and the high quality Classic Sonic figure was nice I guess but I feel like those are flukes more than anything

It's also possible, we actually didn't really get any info that they promised exclusivity to TOMY that I remember, but everything matches a bit too perfectly for that being the case in my opinion, and it kind of makes sense given the kind of decisions SEGA was making back then (like how they also had exclusivity with Nintendo for games and just in general had very little forethought about the decisions they were taking and how they were going to impact both Boom and the rest of the franchise).

why is so much of the Sega Shop merchandise so junky looking? The majority of items are just generic cups/shirts/phone cases/etc. with Sonic pictures slapped on liked you see on Zazzle or Redbubble. Why is it all so cheap looking?
pic related is a $34 phone case that's been on the website for months and still hasn't been fixed. The area between sonic's legs isn't transparent and two of his fingers on the right are solid white instead of colored with that texture.

The site was most likely filtering you out because of not fulfilling the location requirements set by the seller (that is, the seller may not have shipped to your region so the site was not showing the item to you because you wouldn't have been able to get it). Online commerce sites like to do that. Currently the item you linked does not ship to my location and if I try to search for it, even if I try the exact same words in the title, it won't show to me. It's possible you have now gotten a different IP that wasn't filtered, or that the seller changed some settings of the listing, or maybe Amazon changed something on their end, and you now suddenly see the listing. Keep in mind that all the reviews say they got the wrong plush, though (Shadow instead of Silver)!
If you know that what you're looking for is sold exclusively in certain parts of the world, you can use a web proxy to make your searches so that it appears to the site that you're coming from those same areas and you get served items from that region, or you can try tampering with the site's settings so that it understand you're from a different location, although that might not actually work. I used to collect Pokemon merchandise back in 2010-2013. The Pokemon Jakks Pacific stuff was all over the place in terms of quality. The plushies were usually nice and they would sometimes use unpopular Pokemon that barely got any merch like Murkrow and Zubat instead of just your typical Pikachu, Eevee, starters, etc. That was always great. Hopefully it translates to Sonic. It would be nice to get merch of more obscure characters.
Their figures were more mixed. Sometimes they were decent but then you got really ugly ones that looked off model. There's a Vaporeon figure that comes to mind that isn't painted correctly and it was a pretty glaring mistake. They never fixed it from what I remember. Overall it always seemed like they were more focused on toys for kids to play with rather than high quality figures just to sit around on a desk. I guess that's okay since Sonic is mainly for kids and Diamond Select is starting to do Sonic stuff now

I don't think that would have worked very well well unless they were really really close to a perfect ball (so no open spaces in the ball that could make it go out of its way randomly). Also, it would have probably kept most of the interesting features of the characters hidden because they would have been too curved inwards, which wouldn't have been very nice.

Maybe I misinterpreted it but they used the word booklet and technically the original would be considered as a booklet because it’s short in pages and small. It does tell you how to knit and shows the patterns. They’d look like one of these. Issue is I’m a super beginner so I can’t read it, or rather understand it. Thankfully it didn’t cost no more than $10 so I can take my time to come back to it.
As for the keychain, it’ll go into my collection. I just have to figure out how to arrange it, but yes it’d be on my “backpack” like thing. Funny thing is that my keys are pretty plain besides my Sonic lanyard and a pokeball my friend gave me. I should probably get something else in the future for it, but something that won’t easily scratch up.
I think I showed my get up before with my backpack satchel thing for the anniversary but I decorated the outside and not the inside.

Yeah, it's one of those small plushes. I think they're still made and plushes like it were supposed to go for $15 going off the price labels at Target stores. But I couldn't find Silver at them or at the Target websites so I had to order it on ebay for $23.
I'm not fully sure if they are still made though since recently I haven't seen many Sonic plushes at all of any character at Target stores, not even the display boxes.
