SEGA Heroes came out today (or yesterday depending on where you are), did anyone here play it?
I did and it's a mobile game with everything you would expect from a mobile game, the animations are that weird after effects puppet warp type shit, and the hero selection from Jet Set Radio is fucking retarded. Beat, Gum, fucking Onishima and Professor K? Really? And the series that they pulled stuff from, Sonic, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Monkey Ball, Jet Set, and Phantasy Star just remind me of how little SEGA is doing with any of their IP

I was just thinking that there is so many Sonic characters who cross each other in archetype rather than powers because of the reluctance in how to diversify personalities and moral alignments across the board. I bet if they would make more "hero" characters more "neutral" you would see far less blending in how the characters are executed.

Just finished playing through all of Sonic's levels in that version plus the bosses. Not too bad, but I wish Dimps could have done things a little differently. (No clue why Sonic Team switched the homing attack and reassigned to the same as the air boost for the HD version only) Found it more satisfying than Forces' level design. Shame the werehog is only really enjoyable in one on one fights where there's nothing dragging it out for too long.

Wasn't perfect, but did a lot of things that I'm missing from current Sonic games. Namely hubs, actual NPCs, a decent story, and a world worth giving a shit about.
The werehog really isn't the worst thing in the world, but I can understand why people didn't like it as some of the design decisions like the medals and battle music likely lead to bad/annoying experiences.
I hope for a PC port or for emulation to come along so I can experience the whole package with a decent framerate. The Unleashed project is cool, but it's not the same as the full thing.
