If the show is done then I think the Boom brand is over. Sticks will probably stick around for spin-offs, but that's probably it.

The brand is too tainted to try video games again (no doubt in my mind Fire & Ice bombed miserably too). I don't think we'll see IDW make a comic series with it they'll probably focus on a Sonic Universe style book. Obviously if the show is done, then it that's that.

I'm betting SEGA still hasn't decided on if they're allowed to or not. Ian talked quite a few times on how SEGA didn't really care for them since they no longer represented the brand. Maybe small or background roles might be where they stay if they do return.

Depends how many new people that will probably be getting into the comics regularly.

I doubt many at all that are going in not having read Archie will give a fuck, but a good amount of those that followed Archie will. SEGA has actually put a considerable amount of marketing and focus into IDW that Archie never got outside of Mega Drive, and I'm betting majority of the people that enjoy the games mostly or casual fans probably do not want them in or are indifferent. It's clear those who want a return are more vocal, though.

Will IDW Sonic's sales be easier to find than Archie's? Archie always had subscriptions and newsstand sales that weren't easy to find, but IDW doesn't do subscriptions and I don't know if they are on newsstands.

I wonder how many of the people that don't care about them are going to be still sticking with the comic a year from now. I mean, I would imagine that the people that were interested in Sonic Comics were for the most part following the last comic, so I wonder how many of the rest of people (which is who this comic is aimed for) are actually going to still be interested in it some time from now. Just a quick cursory look at IDW direct sales through comichron, it seems their around 5,000-15,000 units depending on the book. So I assume it'll do numbers similar to Archie Sonic usually was at normally directly after the book turns monthly for awhile. But we also never got Archie Sonic's newsstand numbers which it apparently did really well in, so I'm not sure if IDW will make up for those.

CBR says they placed 159,318 units last month out of the 6,078,535 units in the top 300 comics list.
