Pretty much the franchise backpedaling hard out of what it got itself into for 2019. Since that's not happening I guess I'd like to see the comics be written more closely to how Archie was.
With TSR, the movie, and a new comic already announced, seems there are a lot of big projects underway for 2019 that have already been revealed. What else could they reveal for 2019 that we haven't heard of so far?

I guess Kishimoto getting fired then. As much as I hate Pontaff's writing, gameplay is more important and Kishimoto's leadership and direction seems to be stifling that. Plus even if Pontaff was gone, we'd still have to deal with Toyoda who wrote Forces which was almost as badly written as Lost World.

Least favorite: the Puyo boss from Mania. It was cute the first time but I dread it every time I go to replay the game. I want to play Sonic, not Puyo Puyo
Favorite: I don't know, I don't think this series' boss fights are very good. I guess maybe the first fight for Sonic in SA2. I don't remember its name, it's the robot after City Escape. But it's nice because you can attack it anytime you want if you have the bounce bracelet or are smart enough to stand on the boxes when it flies at you. You don't have to wait for it to land to attack it. In most of the 3D Sonic games, the bosses are invincible 99% of the time until decide to let you attack them

The images are still there, what's likely happening is either your browser or some security software of yours is not loading them because of the invalid certificate. Well I do agree, I also look at it on a level of just trying to do that for the sake of promo art on Nibroc side of the agrument, though for a game, yeah he would be missing the point.
But imo, I've always felt that argument regarded "looking good in all angles" seem superuless. The appeal of Sonic's design from the 90s should have been moreso about playing as Sonic, not just looking at him. Not that many people cared too much about how something look in every pose possible, because even real life look bad at some angles, or even misleading. I just think they took that too far when heading into Riders/06 era especially, if I had to make a rant there.

Well, I've always imagined that each individual Chaos Emerald has its own, unique energy signature - a distinct feeling that each one gives off.
You ever notice how Shadow's almost always depicted with the ``green`` Chaos Emerald specifically? Probably because they're complementary colors. I like to think that he's grown attached to that one. Whenever Sonic goes Super, they all scatter…and if Shadow decides he wants to find an emerald again for his own use he'll use their unique signatures to track down the green one, simply because he likes it the most.

I don't see how you can say that. Most of the levels are incredibly linear, and that's compared to how relatively linear boost games already were. They're also all way too easy, with the casino level having a grand total of one enemy in the stage.

Tails is even more of a pussy than he was in Lost World, Sonic's "death" means absolutely nothing, they bring back four villains, only for you to fight a grand total of two of them, one of them being the one no one cares about, you have to play Shadow's story to find out anything about the special new villain, the whole "Green Hill is being turned into a desert" means absolutely nothing, and classic Sonic had no reason to be there.

The only way this is happening would be by the fanbase. Not to sound like a buzzkill, but I really want Sonic Team to stop rehashing old content. I'm offically done with them and I feel like I'm the only fan left at this point that want to move on from my past of Sonic the Hedgehog. I want Taxman and co to spend all their time on a brand new game, 100% original content, no ifs, ands or buts. The fans can (and are starting to) remake S3K within Mania, which would end up being what you're asking for in the end. And if Project M is to go by, this would be basically killing two birds with one stone; you need to pay for Mania to get this "S3K DLC" for the game, so all the money still goes to SEGA while the fans make the game for fans for "free". While Taxman makes a brand new Sonic game after a fucking decade of waiting. It's a win win.

I was initially really excited at the idea of an Adventure remake because I adore Adventure but as time has gone on I've lost enthusiasm for the idea because I simply don't trust who we have now making Sonic games. Unless it was Whitehead and co. I think I don't want it happening because I just don't want Sonic to look bad yet again and for Sega to basically ruin the few good things in Sonic's history.
The movie is already on the way and we know it's going to be abysmal despite the "don't judge until you watch" optimists saying it's still somehow uncertain. There's no good reason to prepare to deal another hard hit to Sonic.

Any opinions on the Sonic World bonus from Sonic Jam? Just got into Saturn emulation and checked it out (hence why the audio skitches out a bit) and it really seems like they could have made something cool with it if they fleshed it out. Also something about the way it is shaded and how chunky and low res the textures are really make it look a like a 3D Genesis/MegaDrive game to me. It actually controls surprisingly smooth and well for just using the standard Saturn pad.

I am using Yabause 0.9.15. Picked it since it is compatible with that Linkle Liver Story translation that just dropped. I've tried it with Bulk Slash, Burning Rangers, Linkle Liver Story, Sonic Jam, and Sonic R and I have made it work with all of them with the only issue being that I haven't been able to get it to load bin+cue sets that have multiple bin tracks. For instance Sonic R stores the game on a master track and all the music across 20 other tracks. I was able to load the data track and play the game, but it didn't have any music and playing Sonic R without music and just the sound effects is one of the saddest things. Fixed it by using CDmage to merge all the bin tracks into one with a new cue sheet though. I also don't know how powerful a computer it takes, I have an i7-5820k and GTX 980 so it runs pretty good with minimal slowdown.

It really depends on what exactly Metal is. If he's a completely independent robot, then I can see where Sonic is coming from. Metal has always been doing what Eggman told him (aside from that one time in Heroes), so Sonic is giving him a chance to be free. You have to remember that Sonic thinks Eggman is his new, nice self.
However, if Metal is a robot specifically programmed to serve Eggman and fight Sonic, then it was really stupid. You might as well try to grant freedom to a loaded rifle.

Or 2) When SEGA & Archie were negotiating their deals, SEGA wanted an increase in how much they were getting paid to license the Sonic IP for use in the comic. Archie went "fuck that" & decided to just put all their focus on the Archie brand.

Infinite actually has more depth to him, as a character, than I think a lot of people realize. Not that he's a particularly deep character, but there's more to him than just being new, arrogant villain #300.
You see, his power set is the ability to create illusions. It's just that the brain is so convinced that those illusions are real, that the body reacts as if they were. However, this is to coincide with the fact that Infinite's strength, that he loves to talk up, is also an illusion. His key motivation is proving that he's not weak, as Shadow's mean words kinda hit him a little too hard. To prove Shadow wrong, he becomes part of Eggman's Phantom Ruby project, donning a mask and taking the name of Infinite. However, that mask and identity are just a facade to cover up his own insecurities. Despite his insistence that he's strong, and the heroes are weak, none of his strength is his own. It's the ruby's. His strength is entirely fake, based on a cover-up identity to hide his own weakness. The strength of the guy who creates illusions is an illusion in of itself. Deep down, he's still the same insecure faggot he was after Shadow kicked his ass.
