I don't see it happeing. Unleashed itself has no place in Colors forward Sonic. It only got the same reference stage in Generations as is TSR, and the other other is Cool Edge. Maybe that comic for TSR will get it, but I doubt it will feature anything from Unleashed that matters. (Chip, Gaia, Humans, etc). I'd rather they stop rehashing old shit too personally, and rather they make up new locations, but again, SEGA's retarded.

And well, I can see where you're coming from, but here's the reason for that. This video proves Unleashed does have real time lighting, the problem was doing the ambient occlusion, pic related, in real time was too tasking for what was already tasking having the real time lighting with Sonic's ~300mph speeds work without lagging with too much detail was on screen (see adobat). This is where the misconception of when Sonic Team said it had "baked lighting", they were talking about those areas where light didn't get into the cracks of geometry to make it look really realistic, which is where the artists for the game came in. In Generations, they removed that process by making the light source white instead of a "sun" light yellow, making the environment look not so saturated at the cost of making the lighting look dull not as realistic. Shadows also took a hit, as they darking the hue value in exchange of using artists to clean things up some more for realism sake. Hence the dull highlights in Generations and darker shadows as well compared to the more illuminated Unleashed.
In other words, the modder ripped Generations' GHZ straight into Unleashed, with none of that prebaked AO shading since they didn't do that in Generations, and thus, makes the zone looks over saturated. Only when someone goes out of their way to add in the extra custom AO texture for GHZ in Unleashed, then it would look much better.

There's something intensely irksome about this view of women and their bodies. They think censoring the physical traits women have as "family-friendly" which sends a very poor, and frankly sexist, message to women. Girls who have curves and any breasts bigger than an B cup just see themselves as "normal girls" like every other girls do, but in every media the vast majority of female characters who look like them are seductress, femme fatale, or villainness types. It comes to the question why can't the "normal" or "good" girls have those body types instead of the types I listed?
People scream "REEE MUH PORNOGRAPHY" as an excuse are full of shit. It's a matter of sexual dimorphism. Men with high sexual dimorphism, meaning the very muscular and manly types, are portrayed all the time, but women with high sexual dimorphism are suddenly "off-limits" or "too lewd", or "unrealistic" and "pornographic"; something said by both men and women as clearly you can see.
The problem is perverted men, shapeless women who view shapely women as unrealistic or male-pandering, and men who try to appease those women.

Yeah, I see it the same way too. There comes a point pandering towards or against the form of both men and women is bad, but just like a stereotype, it stems from reality first and foremost. Statically, in a series with ~10 female characters, 1 out of 10 of them having anything that looks feminine is ridiculous. Let's be fair: Characters like Rouge & Breezie were made in the same era as characters like Lola Bunny & Minerva Mink. Anthro characters with defined body types & whatnot was kind of the rage back then. It's mostly toned down now because a lot of people started giving these characters shit for being "furry sex objects in a children's series" & it's not even something exclusive to Sonic itself. Look at Looney Tunes & how they redesigned Lola taking away most of what one would call her "defined" bodytype around 2011 with the Looney Tunes show.
It's something that I don't mind in most cases, tbh. With characters like Rouge or Breezie or (extending beyond Sonic) Lola, it creates the idea that they're nothing but sex symbols for the series & serve no purpose beyond being characters people can fap too. Scaling back on their defined proportions & focus more on making them a solid character can be good in its own right.
The problem is that SEGA has yet to do the "making a solid character" thing with 99% of the cast.

Pretty much agreed 100% on you there. Sonic worked better when it was targeted for a general audience with stuff teenagers and young adults to enjoy. Ironically enough Mario is becoming like this while Sonic is regressing into more toddlerish and childish shit. The facts are people liked Sonic more than Mario at first for being the guy with the aesthetics, deeper characters, engaging stories, ect. When Mario started doing RPGs and Luigi Mansion it started doing the same thing. Well, playing through Mania Mode with Mighty has revealed a game crashing glitch. Assumingly, if you hammer drop the ground when fighting the mini boss of Titanic Monarch, there's a chance the game can crash all the way up to the results screen after you cleared an act. This happened to me 3 times in a row, and only when I didn't use the HD at all did it go through into the next act with no problems.
So yeah, surprised I didn't hear much about it from anyone before, but I guess by the time it could have been mentioned in a Mania thread on 4/v/, Smashfags already took over the site and 4/sthg/ hate Maniafags to not care enough to find out for themselves.
TL;DR: Be warned using Mighty's move during the second to last boss of the game, otherwise expect to replay the entire level all over again.

There's a good time for them but it can get redundant and boring really fast.
For example, I liked Chaos in SA2, he felt refreshing, exciting, and different.

To be fair, what was the last "Eldritch God tier" villain the series had? Seems like the franchise has stayed away from all that stuff since Unleashed with Eggman being the last boss in the last 8 years.

If Sonic needed a cthulhu monster in his universe, at least tie it to the thing that is classified as "the most powerful gemstones in the universe; the Chaos/Master Emerald(s)" and it worked. Well I just played Water Palace and Final Rush, and although I found WP interesting, it's very linear. Meanwhile FR is honestly pretty good being open, and it doesn't even use any railing 90% of the stage. If anything I mostly like it better than the original one, but atm, I'm still getting my feet wet.
Imo I think what gets most people with Generations is dealing with the fact half the game is Classic Sonic and he honsetly just sucks when Mania exists. I mean, the Classics existed too, but modern times reminds us what's better to root for. And I'd like Generations more if it didn't have anything Classic styled in it, and just had modern re imaginings only. But I digress, that's what mods are for.
I'm going to keep looking for some more, cuz I'm more interested knowing what other past stages got the Final Rush treatment, because playing it like it's the Adventure era instead of boosting through it is honestly more fun, but would be better if non boosting Sonic didn't accelerate so slowly.
