<Q: What do you think of the unique rule of "team racing" this time?

>Tails: The only condition Dodonpa, the host of the race, had was this "team competition" in a team of three, so I was suspicious at first. But now I'm enjoying the cooperation between teammates, so I'm thankful to him!

>Sonic: A simple speed battle won't make the match fun, so we should give others some advantages. *laughs*

>Knuckles: Hey, why are you looking at me, Sonic! Are you saying that I'm the "advantage" for others?!

>Sonic: Hahaha… I'm just kidding, Knuckles. *laughs* If it's about teamwork, no other team can beat us!

<Q: What do you like about your own machine?

>Sonic: The characteristics of my machine are a blue streamlined body with red wheels, plus the lightweight and high-power engine specialized for high-speed function. The way it speeds through with a blue trace behind looks just like me, don't you think?

>Tails: I like the simple design of my car that took away unnecessities and went for functional beauty like a classic racing car. Despite its looks, it also carries a high-output engine and the ability to drive on unpaved roads.

>Knuckles: Sonic and Tails are just talking about colors and designs and whatnot – what I like about my machine is its powerfulness. It's got the power to crush down anything that gets in my way, even rocks or ice!

<Q: Out of the items you can use in-race, which one is your favorite?

>Sonic: In-race items? Ahh, you mean Wisps. Many Wisps are lending us their power for our races, but I like the White Wisp the most because I can speed up even more with its "Boost!"

>Tails: Let me see, I think I like the Orange Wisp's "Rocket." It's fun to aim to shoot it while driving, and it feels really good if it hits! I feel a bit bad for the one who get hit by it, though. *bitter smile*

>Knuckles: My favorite is Black Wisp's "Bomb." It's not easy to aim it well, but when I manage to blast away many machines with its huge explosion, it really feels good!

<Q: Which one is your favorite course?

>Sonic: My favorite course… all of the courses are fun to drive on, but I like the first one we were on, "Wisp Circuit", because the road is paved and I can speed through the way I want to. Even though only half of the course is paved. *lol*

>Tails: Yeah, I also like "Wisp Circuit" because it's easy to drive on. My machine doesn't lose speed by driving on the grass field surrounding the course, so I can choose to do more dynamic cuts than others♪

>Knuckles: By the way, I don't like "Boo's House" where we drive inside a pyramid… There are so many ghosts and King Boom Boo everywhere trying to fool people, and it makes me recall my unpleasant memories from the past…

<Q: Are there any racers or a team you consider them to be your rival?

>Sonic: Rival, huh… I'd say my rival in this race is Shadow. He always tries to challenge me saying 'ultimate' or 'the fastest' and blah, so I take it. He seems to have confidence in speed-driving too, so he's a perfect opponent to play along. *laughs*

>Knuckles: I don't have any particular racer in my mind. If I have to choose, I wonder what Eggman is up to.

>Tails: Huh? Knuckles, don't you always care about what Team Dark is doing? The team Rouge is in?

>Knuckles: Sh-shut up! I never cared about them, ever! *sweats*

>Tails: Oh, is that so? Sorry. I'm a little worried about Amy's team. We kind of dragged them into the race, so…

<Q: Please tell us your passion for racing!

>Tails: Dodonpa's purpose for hosting this race is still unknown, but the racing where teamwork counts is really fun. Those of you who are reading this article: please experience the best part of team racing!

>Knuckles: He promised us to give us these machines if we just win the race, so there is no way I can lose! I'll win the race and my beloved car "Land Breaker" will be mine!

>Sonic: Well, it looks like we all have different purposes, but I'm glad we made you interested in racing. This time, other teams have skilled members too, but us three are going to show the best run with our teamwork!

>A girl who loves Sonic very much. She is an energetic and cheerful moodmaker, and her strong will and powerfulness could put men to shame. She joins the Grand Prix race as her good friends the Chao and Big decide to participate in it.

<Chao (Technique Type)

>Pure, adorable, and mysterious life forms. Since they don't have a specific path of transformation and change their appearance depending on other life forms they interact with, there are many forms of Chao. In this interview, the knowledgeable robot Omochao talks for everyone!

<Big the Cat (Power Type)

>A huge cat who is leisurely and easygoing. A kindhearted and powerful guy whose hobby is lure fishing. He likes his best friend Froggy very much, and usually they live relaxed in the nature together – but this time Big rides on a car and dashes through the course! By the way, Froggy is staying at home for this adventure.

<Q: What do you think of the unique rule of '"team racing" this time?

>Amy: To be honest, I wasn't very interested in racing… but Big and the Chao were very excited about it, so I decided to join with them too.

>Big: Yeah, because Mr. Dodonpa prepared very cool vehicles for us, you know. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles seemed excited about it, too.

>Omochao: Amy can run fast and Big is stronger than anyone. And us Chao are all good friends! So I think we all make a good team!

>Amy: Thanks, Omochao. Right, let's show everyone in the race that we are the best "best friends team!"

<Q: What do you like about your own machine?

>Amy: Let me see, my machine is cute and elegant over anything. Two-toned colors of pink and white, plus the round eyes are really adorable, don't you think? If I could go out for a date in a convertible like this one, it would be really romantic.

>Omochao: Our machine's unique feature is the four-seater which allows me to drive it together with the other three Chao! The Chao sit in the front cockpit, and my seat is behind them a little higher. I'm connected with the machine via network, so we don't have to control it!

>Big: What I like very much about my car is that it looks similar to Froggy. It makes me feel like I'm racing together with Froggy.

<Q: Out of the items you can use in-race, which one is your favorite?

>Amy: By items, you mean Wisps, right? Let's see… I think my favorite is Crimson Wisp's "Eagle." It flies automatically to your target without aiming, so it's very convenient!

>Omochao: I like Blue Wisp's "Cube!" When you drop it as you're being chased from behind, you can slip the opponent. You can also throw it forward, too.

>Big: I like Froggy the most. Because we are best friends.

>Omochao: Big, Froggy isn't an item you can use in the race!

>Big: Oh is that so? Sorry.

<Q: Which one is your favorite course?

>Amy: Hmm, there were so many so I can't decide… but if I have to choose, I pick "Market Street" with the beautiful scenery of the city with stone-paved roads. There are many fashionable cafés and boutiques, so it's perfect for weekend shopping!

>Big: I like the course with warm ocean and the one with cold ocean with lots of ice. I think I can catch lots of fish in both of them.

>Omochao: I guess the courses Big is mentioning are "Ocean View" and "Ice Mountain." But both of you, Amy and Big, your reasons for favorite courses have nothing to do with the race itself!

<Q: Are there any racers or a team you consider them to be your rival?

>Amy: My rival team would be the team Sonic is in, for sure. Of course I can't beat Sonic in a running race, but this time it's a car race, so we have a chance to win, too. I will definitely win against Sonic and show him how cool I am! *laughs*

>Omochao: I'm paying attention to Tails' tuning techniques! We are all participating with the machines Dodonpa offered us this time, but It's exciting just to think about how Tails, a mecha-genius, will customize them.

>Big: I'm always thinking about Froggy. We are best friends, you know.

>Amy: Listen, he is NOT your rival or a racer this time! Jeez…

<Q: Please tell us your passion for racing!

>Amy: It looks like other teams are looking down on us thinking there is no way we can win a race, but they won't beat us with our teamwork! With our power of friendship, let's beat those who underestimated us!

>Omochao: Agreed! The Chao who will ride on my machine are also strong ones who have the experience of becoming the champions of Chao Race! It's been a while since they were in a race, so they are all excited for this one – there is no doubt we will become the champion!

>Big: It's already fun enough for me by riding on this Froggy-like car, so I'll just try not to get in your way.

<Shadow the Hedgehog (Speed Type)

>A black hedgehog who looks identical to Sonic. An ultimate lifeform created by Professor Gerald, grandfather of Dr. Eggman. He usually stays calm and cold-hearted and does not hesitate to choose any means in order to accomplish his missions. However, if it's a battle against Sonic, he could become hot-tempered!?

<Rouge the Bat (Technique Type)

>A female bat who is a treasure hunter focusing on jewels. There were times she fought for the Master Emerald against Knuckles. As she also works as an agent, she sneaks into the Grand Prix race to investigate Dr. Eggman together with Shadow and Omega. She is a calculating realist, but often times she has to take care of other team members!?

<E-123 Omega (Power Type)

>The strongest robot created by Eggman. Even though he has the strongest power, he was sealed in Eggman's base for a long time in the past, so he has a grudge against him. His only purpose is to revenge Eggman by destroying all robots he made to prove his own strength.

<Q: What do you think of the unique rule of "team racing" this time?

>Rouge: I was a little surprised when I first heard that it's going to be racing as a team, but we three have accomplished numerous missions as a team in the past, so our experience level is not to be compared with others. When Shadow's speed ability, Omega's destruction force, and my intelligence are joined together, nothing is impossible. We are the strongest team, right, Shadow?

>Shadow: Hmph, I'm not interested in a team… I'm just going to do things my way.

>Omega: Eggman's robots are my targets! Don't get in my way!

>Rouge: Oh, you guys, come on…

<Q: What do you like about your own machine?

>Rouge: I like the small but high-output engine and easy handling of my machine. Even on rough off-roads, I can drive without losing speed. For the exterior, I find the sharp front mask and round hip line very sexy.

>Shadow: Hmph! If I'm driving, any machine will turn into an ultimate machine.

>Omega: My machine is a mobile destroyer weapon. I will eradicate all Eggman's robots!

>Rouge: Hey, you two! Try to answer the question seriously!

<Q: Out of the items you can use in-race, which one is your favorite?

>Rouge: You mean the Wisps we can obtain from Item Boxes, right? I like Violet Wisp's "Void." Like a black hole, Void can collect any treasure around it, such as rings or even Wisps the other players possess.

>Shadow: My favorite is Cyan Wisp's "Laser." With its laser beam, I can eradicate any fool driving in front of me.

>Omega: My main weapon is Black Wisp's "Bomb." With this powerful weapon, I'm eradicating Eggman's robots all at once.

>Rouge: Oh my, so you guys can answer a question properly sometimes…

<Q: Which one is your favorite course?

>Rouge: My favorite course, huh… I like the desert area which has "Sand Road" and "Boo's House." With suspicious pyramids and numerous ancient ruins, that place must have hidden treasures… My treasure hunter self tingles with excitement when I think about it. Do you guys have any favorite courses?

>Shadow: I have no interest in the location of the match… If there are challengers, I won't lose against anybody under any circumstances.

>Omega: "Frozen Junkyard" is a graveyard for Eggman's robots. I will dispose all of Eggman's robots into Frozen Junkyard!

>Rouge: Phew, I was stupid to have asked that to you two…

<Q: Are there any racers or a team you consider them to be your rival?

>Rouge: We are joining the race to investigate Eggman's evil deed, so it's a different from having a rival, but the team we care about is Team Eggman, after all. He must be planning something and I can't take my eyes off of him. Right, Shadow?

>Shadow: I'm going to make that annoying blue hedgehog learn the difference between our levels.

>Rouge: Ah right, Shadow is always so obsessed with that Sonic… Omega, your rival is Team Eggman, right?

>Omega: Team Eggman is not worthy enough to be my rival! I will eradicate all robots of Eggman!

>Rouge: Fine, fine… So yeah, to sum up, Shadow's rival is Sonic, and Omega's rival is "Eggman's robots", it seems.

<Q: Please tell us your passion for racing!

>Rouge: Well, to be honest, out purpose is not to become the champion, so we are not going to care about winning or losing the race. But to say the least, our team is the strongest, right? No matter who our opponent will be, we are going to treat them lightly. Hey, Shadow, Omega, say something decent at least for the last question.

>Shadow: Hmph, I won't let anyone go ahead of me. I shall take out any fool who tries to challenge me.

>Omega: I will eradicate all Eggman robots! I will prove that I am the strongest robot!

>Rouge: Well, the way they say it is kind of unsettling *bitter smile*, but I guess you can feel their passion for racing.

I just realized, they removed the really out of place dirt from Sonic's shoes. Now I won't be harassed by its unsightly look on every official Sonic render and merchandise where they show up. <Blaze the Cat (Speed-Type)

>An imperial princess from an alternate dimension with the duty to protect the Sol Emeralds. She is usually calm and serious, speaking in a masculine manner. As she tries to devote herself to her role, she can be too strict to herself. She can control flames at will.

<Silver the Hedgehog (Technique-Type)

>A hedgehog who came from the future to change the ruined world. With his psychokinesis, he can move various objects or fly in the air. He has a strong sense of justice and is an optimist, but he sometimes rushes headlong to achieve his goal.

<Vector the Crocodile (Power-Type)

>A detective and the leader of the Chaotix Detective Agency. He is easy-going, loud-mouthed, and quick to start a fight, but he is also clearheaded and shows his sharp deductive abilities from time to time. He loves cash so much that he would do any work that pays, but he will never get involved in anything illegal or dirty. As he can't leave people who are in trouble, the agency is always in need of money.

<Q: What do you think of the unique rule of "team racing" this time?

>Vector: I'm usually running the Chaotix Detective Agency with Charmy and Espio as a trio, so the team race this time is perfect for me, y'know. Well, the members are a little unreliable though.

>Silver: By unreliable members, do you mean us?

>Vector: S-Silver!? That's not nice of you, eavesdropping like that. *sweating* No, don't get me wrong. I was just talking about how we, Team Vector, are the best team out of all.

>Blaze: Hm, Team Vector you say… Since when did we decide on that team name? We don't remember appointing you as the leader, do we?

>Vector: H-hey, don't say such harsh things… *cries*

<Q: What do you like about your own machine?

>Silver: My machine's characteristic is its high mobility like the ones made with technology from the future. In fact, these kinds of machines were used in my era too… I wonder how Dodon Pa obtained such technology…

>Blaze: Dodon Pa sure is suspicious. My machine is made to amplify the energy from flames for achieving high output. Being able to develop such complicated technology, he sure is not ordinary.

>Vector: Hey, hey, you two! Don't be so serious. Forget that and look at my machine! The huge speakers attached on the back are so cool!

<Q: Out of the items you can use in-race, which one is your favorite?

>Silver: Items? Do you mean those Wisps we can use for attacking? I don't like to attack opponents like a coward, so the Jade Wisp's "Ghost" is the only one I'm found of. With it, I can go stealth and concentrate on racing.

>Blaze: Let me see… At the end, I think the ability of the Red Wisp's "Burst" fits me as a pyrokinetic. As I can drive while leaving a trace of flames behind, it does not let opponents get close to me.

>Vector: My absolute favorite is the Magenta Wisp's "Rhythm!" With its loud music, it will distract opponents from the race – moreover, its cool rhythm lifts me up!

<Q: Which one is your favorite course?

>Silver: I was impressed by the beauty of Planet Wisp as I visited it for the first time. "Wisp Circuit," where we drive through the great nature, and "Mother's Canyon," where Mother Wisp lives, are truly breathtaking. However, I couldn't stand seeing the remaining scars on that beautiful planet left by Eggman…

>Blaze: Indeed, in "Doctor's Mine," it seems like the place is left just the way it was invaded by Eggman.

>Vector: Come on, why are you feeling down? Favorite course, you ask me? The Casino area with "Bingo Party" and "Roulette Road," of course! It's my chance to make a fortune at a single stroke!

<Q: Are there any racers or a team you consider to be your rival?

>Silver: Let's see… It's going to be a test of speed, so my strongest rivals are Sonic and Shadow. Both of them are riding on a Speed-Type machine, so I can't beat them alone, but I believe that we can win against them as a team!

>Blaze: I do not take these people as my rivals, but there are two more female racers in this race, correct? Yes, I mean Amy and Rouge. Seeing them doing their very best motivates me to do the same.

>Vector: To me, everyone is my rival! Because I hear that only the champion team will get the prize money. Everybody's eyes are shining with greed, so I can't lose by any means!

>Blaze: I think you are the only one going after the prize, though…

<Q: Please tell us your passion for racing!

>Silver: Since the host Dodon Pa is still covered in mysteries, there are some uncertainties about the race, but that's another problem aside from the competition itself. If it's a battle, I can't lose! We will grab the victory with our teamwork!

>Blaze: That is right. I am a newcomer for racing, but as an imperial princess, I cannot present such a shameful sight. If we are joining the match, we shall become the champion!

>Vector: I like your passion! As you can see, my team is so ready to win with strong members with no interest other than the goal of victory! We are definitely going to become the champion and get plenty of prize money! Hahahaha!

<Orbot & Cubot

>Assistant robots made by Dr. Eggman; a duo of the round Orbot and the square Cubot. Orbot is a hard worker, but he sometimes upsets Dr. Eggman with his cutting sarcasm. Cubot is an easygoing slow-thinker, who makes Dr. Eggman angry with his unnecessary comments.

These two won't appear in the interview this time, but Zavok and Metal Sonic are also in Team Eggman to defeat Sonic and his friends!

<Zavok (Power-type)

>The leader of the Deadly Six who fought with Sonic. He has high combat ability and a sharp mind. He joins Dr. Eggman and seems to be planning something to defeat Sonic at last.

<Metal Sonic (Speed-type)

>A highly functional fighting robot made by Dr. Eggman to countervail Sonic. His speed and power are no less than the original. It looks like he is joining the race by Dr. Eggman's order.

<Q: What do you think of the unique rule of "team racing" this time?

>Eggman: Hmph! To defeat Sonic, my power alone is more than enough, but that sly old man's condition to join the race was to make a team of three… But in my Eggman Empire, I have many strong racers! I will first bring my Egg Pawns for a test and bring those cheeky brats down a peg or two! Ho ho ho ho!

>Orbot: But boss, why are the Egg Pawns your teammates? There are many other robots who loook stronger!

>Cubot: Yeah, boss! We're definitely much better racers than Egg Pawns, don't you think?

>Eggman: Idiots! You two don't have legs to step on the pedals!

<Q: What do you like about your own machine?

>Eggman: Thank you for asking! Sonic and company are riding on those powerless machines that sly old man prepared, but my team are fit with the best state-of-the-art machines I, the genius of the century, Dr. Eggman, developed! Look! This powerful and stable body line, the cockpit focused on functionality… It's literally the strongest machine! Nya ha ha ha!

>Orbot: Excellent, boss! Your great machine is on another level than Dodon Pa's!

>Cubot: Really? To me, it looks like the usual Egg Mobile with tires attatched.

>Eggman: Hm? Cubot, did you say something?

<Q: Out of the items you can use in-race, which one is your favorite?

>Eggman: Actually I don't need any help from those Wisps, but in this racing I'm not allowed to bring my own weapons, so I have no other choice than to use them. The one I use the most is the Yellow Wisp's "Drill." The moment you take out other racers while you are using it is simply refreshing!

>Orbot: The Yellow Wisp's "Drill" appears often when one is in a lower rank, and it's a very powerful item that allows one to come forward at once, right, boss?

>Cubot: Ah… That's why the boss is always driving in the back?

>Eggman: Urrgh, shut up! You two always say too much! Just keep your mouths shut!

<Q: Which one is your favorite course?

>Eggman: Favorite course? Don't ask such a silly question! There is no way I have a course I like in the ones that sly old man prepared without asking! That old man even transformed my waste disposal "Frozen Junkyard" into a course with no permission… *angry* One day, I will invite those annoying racers to the special hellish course I make!

>Eggman: Orbot! Cubot! You are proceeding with the preparation of our racing course, aren't you!

>Orbot: What!? A racing course? I haven't heard of it until now…?

>Cubot: Now that you're old, aren't you starting to become forgetful, boss? *laughs*

>Eggman: Shut up! You two are the ones being forgetful! Continue with the preparation immediately!

<Q: Are there any racers or a team you consider them to be your rival?

>Eggman: Rivals? Ga ha ha ha! Do you think I, the genius of the century, Dr. Eggman, have any rival? Ridiculous! The high-performance racing machines I developed are faster than any machines that old man prepared! No one in this race can outrun my team! Ho ho ho ho!

>Orbot: But boss, after the race from earlier, you were saying "Next time, I will defeat that blue hedgehog for sure!"

>Cubot: You were also telling the Egg Pawns to "be careful of Team Sonic and Team Dark," right?

>Eggman: D-Don't be silly! It was just… an act to fool the enemies!
