I'm a big Classic Fan but hoooonestly, this is a bit of an unpopular opinion I think, but I find Heese's classic character designs more immature looking than how the actual classic characters used to look like in the 90s. Also, I'm not really a fan of Mania Adventure's humor and find it really boring and too "comfy", which Sonic really was never about, it reminds me of shit like Adventure Time or Steven Universe tonally which I don't like.

Boom was amusing to watch, but I hated the designs, and secretly resented that there was nothing going on in any of the scenes… again something common in new cartoons in general.

I would welcome a new series with the Classic and Modern cast available and hopefully characters from any canon, including Archie, IDW, Satam, Underground, Aosth.. with an action-adventure plot but that's just a pipe dream.

Also why was Mania Adventure's budget so limited? One thing i hate about 2d animations these days is that they aren't fluid and work on a tighter budget than they used to. Why is that?

Mania Adventures was a really tiny thing in every way. It was just a bunch of web videos made for their social media accounts that lasted 2 minutes each and consisted of only a few episodes. It was probably made as a "best effort" kind of thing instead of aiming for a specific objective. Don't get me wrong, Loony Tunes was fun as shit but I don't think trying to shoehorn Sonic characters into those roles is going to work and be what the rest of people wants.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. I know a lot of Sonic fans are starved for something with more stakes & a darker atmosphere given the lack of it in the games lately, but they'll likely go for whatever they believe will get the most viewers. If the audience that'll watch a Sonic cartoon will follow it for an atmosphere similar to MA, we'll likely see it.

If not, then they'll up the stakes & go for something more Adventure-like.

Colors was an okay game to me, but it did introduce some bad habits to the series lie the inclusion of Wisps in nearly every game. Forces had an okay idea in Wispons, but it could've been utilized better imo.

No one played any of the Classic Sonic games outside of 1-3&K so I doubt we'll ever see anyone outside the main cast ever again, especially if the Classic Sonic cartoon is supposed to be nostalgic and aimed at casuals or outsiders. It's sad. I was surprised we even got Mighty and Ray in Plus and Mania Adventures

Colors is alright, but I think the praise given to it help set the franchise down the wrong path. Sonic 4 and Generations did as well due to the over-reliance on nostalgia.
