A game with main gameplay that’s closer to Adventure with some separate levels or sections for boosting. Kinda like the Mach speed sections from 06, but not shitty. Also, it needs to be fully 3D, no more of that side scrolling crap. Personally, I’d enjoy if hub world would make a return, similar to Unleashed’s hubs with NPCs and the like in a smallish area. Something to build up the worlds instead of the emptiness that Sonic games have had for awhile now.

I don’t know how realistic it is at this point, though. Sonic Team either has lost a lot of talent or aren’t using them effectively, and I also worry Sonic’s eventually going to cross the threshold into becoming a full on budget series.

This has been really bothering me for a while. The games feel like glorified map packs rather than actual games. They're way too simple and always the same, just a list to select a stage which sometimes triggers an animation and that's it. They randomly put Vector together with Amy and Cream in Free Riders so it's clear he's fine working without Charmy and Espio. Sega/Sumo also probably wanted to have the obvious Eggman/Metal Sonic/someone team but still wanted Blaze and Silver because they're popular in Japan. Why they chose Vector over Espio or Cream probably comes down to his appearance in Free Riders and the Sonic Boom cartoon. Someone keeps saying this was originally supposed to be a Sonic Boom themed racing game but they scrapped parts of it after the games were failures. It would make sense for Vector to be in it in this case since it may have been planned from the start.

The Boom branch was planned to live for a lot longer than it did. We're still set to get more toys this year even though the show ended awhile ago.
