No machines are needed. You have a nervous system capable of much finer tuned control and greater variety of exercises accessible in a shorter period of time than it would take to connect a ridiculous set of electrodes.

A family member had a medical one after getting hit by a truck. These are marketed like "sit on the couch and get ripped" but the reality is "strap electrodes to yourself with goo and feel your muscles clench uncontrollably." It's not pleasant, and it's not terribly effective unless your muscles have atrophied due to injury or disease.

Simple question, keep seeing it pop up here but don't know why. I want to know because I think I'm finally ready to hit a local gym (that just so happens to be crossfit) instead of doing really basic stuff like pushups at home

Went with an uncle to a crossfit gym a couple of times. We did the whole aerobics + weightlifting stuff, it was different every time we went. That was honestly very hard cardio training, I was a sweating mess, this shit was hard man. The weightlifting aspect seemed suboptimal though. It was some sort of full body training where you did every exercise like it was cardio. It seemed suboptimal to me because they made me do one set of like 30 reps instead of breaking it into sets, and it seemed like the focus was more on getting 30 reps instead of using a weight that was hard for you or the quality of reps.

I noticed that there were a couple of strong jacked guys that were doing there own thing in a corner. They were doing heavy deadlifts (about 3 plate?) for low rep sets.

Does crossfit have different styles of training? It looked like the class had to do meme training while to jacked boys were following doing sort of real powerlifting.

Not entirely certain but here are a few reasons I've heard.

They don't use metal plates. Yes this is a valid critique.

They combine aerobic movement with heavy weight but the two don't mix together.

They stole exercises and made them easier like jumping and pull ups.

Their base is made up of hipsters. Everyone is either fat or skinny. Pretty much every meme you've ever heard about Planet Fitness applies to Cross fit.

So since im a powerlifter and push myself everyday i was thinking: is it ok to go a day and skip as a recover day the next one and then go again ?

And repeat the process again and again ?

Or do i need to go everyday (instead of the weekend) to max out my performance and lifts ?

Just out of curiosity, but how do you know the cow you're eating is grassfed in brazil?

There is no certified regulation for specifically grass fed (and even labeled "organic" food), and afaik, the agricultural kikes around here will do anything they can to increase profits. eg Just remember that poisonous additive in milk scandal that happened a few years ago, also the Friboi infected meat, this is literally the worst place to be a goy.

As far as I know most of our animal feedstock is fed with the traditional feed mix of large amounts of soy + corn, and other grains, not to mention chuck full of hormones as well.

something you can buy or prepare yourself

-it has to give me energy, should preferably contain protein, carbs, fat.

-has to taste good when cold

-should not need to be cooked at home (but preparation is allowed)

-should be compact if possible (that means a lot of calories compared to size)

-should be able to prepare it for many days and store in fridge or somewhere

So far was eating bread with fat and cheese. but want to eliminate bread.

Oatmeal is very high in phytic acid, a chemical that bonds very strongly to zinc (main vitamin required to produce testosterone), calcium and iron- preventing their absorption in the body. Regular consumption of oatmeal will cause deficiencies of all of these vitamins and result in impaired testosterone levels. The only way to get around this fatal flaw is to soak your oats in acidic warm water for long periods of time, at least 7 hours, but ideally 24 or more. To get my own water acidic I add organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar to my steel cut oats and generally soak them overnight.

It is true that oats contain phytic acid, but they are not particularly high in it compared to other foods often recommended here. Rice, beans, peanuts, nuts, almonds, and corn have higher phytic acid content than cereals and grains. Based on the research papers I found, while it does have an effect it is minimal. Eating a lot of protein, natural acids, and higher zinc diet will mitigate phytic acid's effects.

If you want to eliminate phytic acid and other anti-nutrients you would need to stop eating almost all plants. If you eat a balanced and nutrient rich diet you are fine. You can always eat more yogurt or pumpkin seeds if you are concerned about low zinc.

No. Electrical muscle stimulation IS a a real thing but it sure as hell won't make you feel like you're moving a barbell. Also the effects of EMS are pretty weak so at best it serves as a recovery or supplementary boost not for serious training.

If you did have such a magical suit that can do what you describe effectively then why bother moving at all, just lie in bed and let the suit make you swole.

>>143784

Theres no need for VR to accomplish this all you need is a barbell attached via some sort of chain or rope to a powerful and precise motor. Then you have sensors that monitor your lifts and only activate the motor when you need it.

Sup. Are there any online services which offer bloodwork? I don't live in the US or UK and most of these services are based there. My doctor refuses to let me have my bloodwork done, since the "public would have to pay for it". I could do it privately, but it will cost me approximately 400USD. I'd also like to know what I need to get checked (test, e2, etc) and how often.

Any suggestions?

Why do you need these hormones tested? Bloodwork is full of deception for hormones. It frequently will not tell you anything useful unless you depend on the doctor to give you something that is determined by his judgement of bloodwork. To make matters worse, nobody seems to understand what the measurements mean, including many endocrinologists. A popular meme in circulation right now is "free testosterone" being good and SHBG is bad. Not only is it likely that testosterone can enter cells when attached to a carrier protein, but SHBG can bind to estrogen and keep it out of cells, while free flowing polyunsaturated fats will block estrogen from attaching to SHBG.

Doctors also use bloodwork as a general excuse not to help someone with effective hormones or nutrition.

>T4 levels were normal. You don't need thyroid supplementation

Meanwhile the patient has all the classic signs of hypothyroidism such as widespread edema. Medicine is backwards. Some people need a generally safe and useful hormone supplement to overcome their circumstances, not to make hormone levels "normal", whatever that means. It doesn't matter if others get by with X quantity of Y hormone. If it treats the symptoms and is generally safe, it should be administered, because these things are often like biological money. Some people have to spend more to purchase health and overcome their debt of disease.

You want a leg up on your health and fitness? Why wait? Doesn't matter what your estrogen levels are at all. Take B vitamins, thiamine, riboflavin, and niacinamide in particular, and your liver will start deactivating estrogens faster right away. They are extremely safe and dirt cheap, especially if you buy bulk powders, not anywhere near $400, lol. Or maybe you just want answers. Look in the mirror. It'll give you the answer right now unlike a doctor trying to weasel his way out of the truth. Is your face fat or aging? Yep, you could use more antistress hormones, less estrogen. It's really that simple unless you're the doctor looking for an excuse not to take action.

Thanks for the tips. Forgot to mention in the op that I need to get blood done because of roids. I need to keep my liver and estrogenic activity in check. I want to get it done before and during my cycle.

What grinds my gears the most is the fact that it's easier to become a faggot than to get testosterone from fuckin' Dr. Noseberg; if you say you want to become a "woman", the doctors will go to great lengths to make sure you get HRT.

Last time I got my bloods done, I was living abroad and it was cheap to get it done, even privately. Everything was within range except for slightly high T3 and T4.

As someone who has done this, I can tell you that you've definitely popped a disc. However, this isn't the end of the world. Plenty of people have lived their lives and died at a normal old age with popped discs. You can actually heal it if you do a lot of spinal decompression (hanging from a bar to take gravity off your spine). I personally healed mine and am now squatting 3 plate again.

But obviously you gotta get an MRI from the doctor first to make sure you havent broken it lol.

Hey /fit/, I have problems with my heart with an unstable angina which could one day lead to a heart attack. I take aspirin for blood thinning and I was advised to do a lot of cardio. I don't know where to start in terms of intensity, reps or accompanying diet. I've never had a routine to stick to and never visited a gym. Any help?

Long term aspirin use is going to cause damage to your intestines and further down the road, with your eyes. Before you know it, they’ll be tricking you into thinking you need stents. Don't fall for it! Don't get your nutritional advice from a traditional cardiologist. Medical schools don’t teach doctors nutrition, but how to prescribe the most profitable, toxic drugs and surgery that temporarily relieve symptoms, without addressing the underlying issues. Find a Naturopathic Cardiologist.

No. 1 Culprit of Heart Disease is SUGAR, not fat. Stay away from it! Not too much fruit. Wild Salmon (NOT farm raised), raw nuts, first cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil / first cold-pressed extra-virgin coconut oil, butter from raw milk…STAY AWAY from processed oils, especially CANOLA!!!…avocados, pomegranates - juice if you have to UNSWEETENED, organic chicken, organic beef from grass-fed cows. Lots of fresh, organic green vegetables, onions, garlic. If you eat dairy, BEST is from raw, unpasteurized, non-homogenized milk. VERY IMPORTANT: Lots of clean filtered water. Chlorine and fluoride added to most municipal water systems is highly detrimental to the vascular system…the best water filter on the market is the Berkey, NO reverse-osmosis. And use a shower filter also. Only Himalayan Salt, NO table or sea salt, Read…
