Rolled oats (like in OP pic) are shit. Almost all the bran is cracked away in the processing. Get steel cut oats. You get the whole bran and all the fiber and nutrients that go along with it. Takes about 30 mins to cook, but healthier alternative. Also great to grind up very fine and add to your yogurt or protein shake.

The majority of the one's I've seen are either non-adjustable and aren't inclined enough or they are adjustable but the bar supports are either too high or too low to be comfortable. Potential double post but I've reloaded the page 5 times and the thread still doesn't show. I don't know what to say except fix your fucking site Jim. Recently I've been trying to sleep at an optimal but unusual time but have found that my body has started to rebel and at best wakes me up halfway or at worst forces me awake with 5 or 4 hours of sleep. This brings my heart great pain to know my body doesn't want to cooperate even after being awake 30 hours straight to force it to be able to peacefully sleep at that time, but an even greater physical pain because I'm still growing and it keeps working against me. It just doesn't want to sleep at that time but I can't cooperate with it, I have to sleep at that time. I'm thinking of just using pharmaceutical pills to force myaelf out for 8 hours but before I do I'd obviously like any natural, safer alternatives. This is very important so I need help desperately, I don't want to become addicted to pills just because my shitty body refuses to sleep at this time.

Melatonin works though not all do. Nature's Bounty 5m dual spectrum time release works well. But you know what works even better? TRT. Before I went on TRT, in the evening, I'd dim the lights, use red lights, amber glasses, no caffiene past 1pm (including soda nimrod) and a whole bunch of other things. Melatonin has been mentioned, but there's also Valerian root and Kava. Valerian root is obtainable easily enough from any supplement aisle, take 2-3 grams 30 minutes before going to sleep and it may help. It's also purported to ease anxiety, which I think is true to an extent (it will relax me a bit if I'm jittery from caffeine), but everyone's biochem is different so your mileage will vary.

I just cancelled my 24/7 gym membership in favor of visiting my free college campus gym. The only catch is that the college gym is not open Friday through Sunday, only Monday through Thursday from 7:30AM until 9:00PM. Honestly though, considering its free, I seen this as a wise decision. I only ever visit the gym (at most) once a week anyway. The corporate 24/7 gym was money wasted and was always overcrowded. The college gym never has a soul in it.

How much of Elite strength is due to Steroids or genetics. Like say if steroids were not invented do you think it would still be the same guys at Worlds Strongest Man or the same guys in powerlifting? Part of me thinks its a bit of both, make no mistake everyone on that level is roiding but I reckon that the amount each person does depends on their genetic baseline, those that are not as genetically gifted roid more. Another factor we might consider is the physical repsonse someone has for roids. If we compared two natties 1. one with a better genetic limit than the other but 2. has a better repsonse to steroids. Put them on the same stuff the one with the better steroid response would be stronger than 1. even though 1. was a better natty, theoretically. Also in general it seems like roids really benefit taller lankier people. Guys like Brian Shaw and Halfthor were skinny dyel ectomorph basketball players I doubt they would have put on very much muscle without roids. What do you guys think maybe I'm just too autistic thinking about this.

It's because people go to "traditional" martial art schools, where they simply go through drills punching the air and then spar once in every blue moon (practicing moves with a non-resisting partner doesn't count as sparring). Nevermind the fact that in the past it was used for actually defending yourself and thus had to be as down to earth as possible to ensure you don't die, just learn this dance where you punch and kick the air as if you were to be fighting a couple thousand invisible enemies using moves that you're probably going to get killed for trying to use.

Why don't you poo so it propels you upward xD. But seriously, as people have already posted, negative pullups and assisted pullups are the way to go for beginners. I'm unaware of your setup, but you can also use bands to assist your pullups like pic related. Also, learning to do the pullup correctly will help you. Too many people will use their arms without engaging their lats when doing a pullup. Good luck.

Keep going with each until you can do the last sets easily, then move to the next. Only train every third day at most.

>Vertical Pull: 1x10, 2x20, 3x40

>Horizontal Pull: 1x10, 2x20, 3x30

>Jackknife Pulls: 1x10, 2x15, 3x20

>Half Pull-ups: 1x8, 2x11, 2x15

>Full Pull-Up

If you want to progress even more, 1x5, 2x8, 2x10 on those then start mixing up your holds and how many hands you use.

for my entire life i've never been able to do a single pull-up. after many months of lifestyle changes and doing strength training that includes lots of rows and back exercises, i surprised myself yesterday when i was able to do three unassisted pull-ups with my new pull-up bar. i can do more with tension bands. soon, i will be able to do 10 without assistance

I agree horizontal pulls are good exercise but I believe they should have their own progression, ending in lever pullups. I think the Startbodyweight progression is better on this end.
