When I decided to join the bakery I was metal detecting on Florida treasure coast every morning at 4 am that was my dark to light work then. I decided one morning I was going to stop all extra activity and focus on helping the board because at that time there was less and 20 bakers (apr 2018) I told myself I would not resume normal life until Q completes his mission and the people wake up. I plan on going back down and getting a off shore diving licence to hunt for the ship wrecks when this is all over. Till then I am here to assist the Q army in this war. The Basic Basics on how to take good notes

Use a text editor like notepad or notepad++ not Word

Learn simple formatting: bold, red text

bold is ''' on both sides of a word

red text is == on both sides

(Listed in Pass the Exam thread; you can practice there)

Look at previous notables

* Pick an example you like and use the same formatting & general approach

* Try to include key details (who, what, when, where, etc.)

* Strike a balance between way too long and way too short

* if unsure, ask anons: "In or out?"

Post notables about every 200 posts

* There's no rule

* Pick a time when things aren't too busy

* Ask anons to check them - they will

Remember:

Note-taker notes are always subject to a look-over by baker

True whether baker is in current bread or the next

Baker can always edit note-taker notables

True even if a baker is taking them (if he does not sign in as baker)

Taking Notes as a Note-taker not Baker

Two possibilities: baker absent vs baker present

Baker absent (bread is "ghosted"):

1. best if you sign in and saynote-taker on duty

(so there aren't multiple note-takers)

2. To sign in: TAG THE DOUGH POST & BAKER GHOST POST

3. post notes regularly (about every 200 posts - like 200, 400, 600, Final @660) - TAG to dough post

4. At the top of posted notes, list dough post, "Note-taker notes", where in bread you are (Notables @400)

5. Postneed a bakeror similar (make sure to use red text)

Baker present (but cannot note):

1. Postcan take notesto both baker request post and dough post

2. Say when you will drop the notes (same system works well as above, just drop the final @600 so baker can check it)

3. If you sign out, saynote-taker must leaveand list current notes. Be sure to tag the dough post and baker ghost post.

If Q POSTS, ask anons to collect Q posts. Someone will step up.

Put anything you can find in notables if possible.

Do your best, can always be finished up next bread.

Deciding What to Notable

from an earlier doc but updated, next pg points to the update

Look for anon noms, they are usually notable.

"Usually" because shills nom too. So do trolls, for fun. If not sure, either ask for a 2nd nom or say what's missing (often a description).''

For noms wo/a description, ask for one.

These are usually anon diagrams, analyses & Q proofs. Hard to evaluate much less write a description. It's the responsibility of the poster or nom-mer to provide one.

Look for newsy articles

If necessary, edit the title to be more neutral (not insulting) or shorter if wordy (or add important details if missing)

Look for special reports: planefags, boatfags, Resignations in the News, etc.

Anons seldom nom these, except for RA's stuff if they don't see it in Notes.''

If there is too much news & bred is fast…

…focus mainly on nommed posts, breaking news (if verified), news re Q concerns (CP, etc.).

Check for two things: dates and whether it's been notabled (in qresear.ch).

Easy during slow breads, hard during fast ones. Dates take priority. But if you forget, anons or shills will always let you know.

You could cinfgure google to be deaf dumb and blind in pie (9.x). the only real way to get rid of the google data collection in the Q(10.x) version is to:

1) find a custom rom for your device that does not include GAPPS.

2) grab the usb drivers for your device

3) get the correct rom flashing software (however that's done for yours)

4) unlock your bootloader (however that's done for yours)

5) flash dat shit

no joke. did the 9.x digging. 10.x is even more stringent to google policy now. NOT POSSIBLE to turn off collection from the phone device. ALL comms apps are tied tightly to GAPPS now. if you deny perms to googe play services,in 10, the phone pukes all over itself and is unusable..

It's not technically hard, as long as you get a good set of directions+software. the XDA developers groups are a good resource for that.

If you only have the one device I would say: Go research what device works for the custom rom you like, and buy that to do custom roms on. Don't go testing rando shit on your only phone, unless you know the custom rom will work. ie due to being mature, your phone might in the "official" lineage/whatever rom you choose support list, etc etc..

Nine Tips for Note-taking: MNR Edition

1-13-2021

GENERALLY

1. Use plain text file for notables.

Avoid Word or other word processors, plain text is better for chan markup.

2. Post notes at least 3 to 4 times during the bread, including a semi-final @170 and final @185+.

Don't stick anything iffy in at the last moment, make sure anons can vet it first.

3. Make notables easy to find with RED TEXT or BOLD.

Also tag to DOUGH post.

DECIDING WHAT TO NOTABLE

4. On MNR, most newsy posts are notable (relevant and sauce)

But it's easy to miss things like anon analyses or stuff wo/formatting - eyez on.

5. For noms wo/a description (usually anon diagrams, etc.), ask for one.

It's anons' responsibility to summarize a main point.'

6. For biased or wordy MSM headlines, feel free to do 'damage control'

If necessary, edit the title to be more neutral (not insulting) or shorter if wordy (or add important details if missing).

7. Look for special reports: planefags, boatfags, Resignations in the News, etc.

Anons seldom nom these, except for RA's stuff if they don't see it in Notes.

8. If there is too much news & bred is fast…

…focus mainly on nommed posts, breaking news (if verified), news re Q concerns (CP, etc.).

9. Check for two things: dates and whether it's been notabled (in qresear.ch).
