The roles evolved. Used to be notables were called all the time, so much of the time nothing is called. I think anons (all of us) have turned into the info war of things. Early on was about all the decodes and digs, now we are at a time where the information is the weapon. So our roles have reversed and notables are less about "decodes" although it is still very much important, but its about the side by sides, what A is saying about B OR/ETC.

Sure thing. Thought anons might wonder how and why the baking class was started, so here goes.

Why The Baking Class Started

The baking class started 35 weeks ago through a ponder of why we had so few bakers, were thin on coverage and why we had no new bakers stepping up.

This baker wondered if the instruction grahics we had were enough for new bakers to learn by, having made them with anons and bakers in the general a long time ago. Baking had changed a lot since then.

The idea came to try a live class, a step by step to see if that would help.

Having baked since 4chan with very little breaks I wanted a break, at least someone to relieve me half of the nights a week.

Figured if I could spend time sharing and passing on what I knew, ne bakers might step up and relieve.

The results of now 35 weeks of class are that we've had old and new bakers coming through, oldfags baking again, anons who run resources, anons dropping in to say hi and hundreds of invaluable things learned from each other.

All in all the contributers are 98% of all of the QR bakers, a group of around 20 bakers and not takers old and new.

Been here in these baking seminars many times, done a few practice bakes.

It's not easy to do. it seems a lot of stress (for me at least) was involved, even though just practicing. Keeping up with the notables is just one thing, posting collected notables is a thing too. And forget everything if Q posts, not an easy job. Not a CAKE walk. Just my observations.

I baked because I got sick of seeing warring factions early on in the /qr/ stream.

I baked as anon for the most part starting at the beginning of /qr/, (except for a few times of imagefagging as a bee, kek); this went on until some time after bv baker checks started.

That was all fine and well until my hash was doxed on July 6, 2018. evidence is available here >>>/doughlist/120

When I was doxxed by a /qr/ board bv as kekbees, while hiding behind this image of a baker frog, I chose to be an observer, and retired.

Fast forward to April of 2020. I again saw warring factions in the kitchen, and decided to put the bee back in service. I baked about 5-6 breads imagefagging as kekbees, and was invited to the Seminars.

I started observing those shortly after being asked, and have claimed all post histories in all threads I commented in.

I was convinced to have a chain of authorship at the seminars, and chose my method I use today. That is also recorded in the seminar threads.

Not a skeptic. I never got super comfortable baking, I have many distractions around my house. Spouse anon and I had our third child in March. I started an intermediary site Jan 2019 to facilitate normies in finding and understanding what happens on the boards and provide the notables in a cleaner way free from the shills via wearethene.ws. Downfall to the aggregator is it instills complacency in seasoned anons and makes reading full breads less intriguing. Without great bakes and great anons on the board the aggregator is worthless or even worse controlled by shill bakers. Hence why I am here to see where I can be of most assistance.

Why The Baking Class Started (cont.)

New materials have been produced for anons to learn by and between us all we've collated the library of resources in the class dough here. Anyone looking to learn can drop in any time and go through them on their own. There is absolutely no need to 'come to class' in order to bake.

Most of the bakers who bake on QR drop in every week or when they can. They join in the topic discussion, give their input on the Qs we all have and it's always a very civil, professional working environment.

To those who say it's a 'control' thing I strongly disagree with. New bakers have been baking for around 6 months regularly who have never been to class. I happily hand off to them, very happy to see anons stepping up to help.

To anyone who believes there's any kind of 'control' going on here, I invite you to look through the past class threads, all numbered and found in the catalog here.

Someone on the board asked me to learn to bake after a few incidents in the middle of last year. I later read about a satanic email that was sent to one of us and knew it was the real deal as far as bakers go.

When I bake, I do it because I hope to advance the Great Awakening.

Knowing that whatever appears as notables in my bread can go out into several aggregator sites and be seen by normies, and combat the fake news MSM by providing a counterbalance of truth and free-range opinion. This happens IF there is only one bread per number.

What makes me sad is when there are two (or more than 2!) breads with the same number, which breaks the agregator sites, and means that NONE of anons' great digs, memes, prayings, opinions, news, etc. fly out into the world.

I've seen some of the recent "notables", the one about "Nice Tits" was Pulitzer worthy. Talking on comms has been a way to conserve post space in the breads. Open for any anon to see, just open a tab and look.

I use the dude at an NTDS console or the waving Mrs. Bucket when I first start up, or in some way let anons know boatfag is doing the bake so there is no doubt as to who it is in the kitchen. Also gets me a bit of help because anons know I'm not the most experienced and will call out notables so I don't miss them. I also get the shills nominated trash, just as they post things daily where the sources are total crap,

I started baking because I had been called over to the UK boards one night to do some boatfagging, UK #14 iirc. The breads kept rolling and everytime had to come over to General and grab a baker. Then one night a shill basically double-dog dared me to bake. So, one Thrusday I came to a baking class, did a practice bake here on comms not much later. Then one night on graveyard I'm bopping back over to see what's going on in General and oops, bread is ghosted, nobody else around so I grabbed the notables and all and baked. That was #12608. Not perfect by any means but I have gotten better since then. I'm up to 26 total bakes as I have done a few UK now, more Generals, and got Scotland #1 up.

I would jump in when I could because I had developed this habit of spending 12-16 hours straight on these boards every day. Now I spend less time on the boards and very very little looking at General. Quality has gone to hell while shills join forces with whoever started the OSS persona and the minions. If anons are truly no longer interested in knowing who is baking then fine by me. I have two others boards I'm tending until those anons are comfortable with baking, then I might just get to sit back and note take or dig more than I have been.

But the way you're using it, sounds more like a group thats' a definite group, as opposed to individuals doing the same thing. If so, that could be a good thing or a bad thing. Just depends why the group is a group - and whether it open or closed to more "members."

If you want to call the traditional bakers a group, that seems fine. But if so, we're a very open group. The only two real qualifications for membership are the abilities to

Hi everyone. I have been mostly watching this shit show from the sidelines, apart from keeping wearethene.ws updates suspended while anons and bakers hopefullywork togetherto resolve this situation.

In the relatively small amount of time I've been around this week I have seen, on one side, OSS and his cronies shilling the board with ridiculous accusations that are repeated until they become "truth" for many anons. Shills that were already present on the board like parasites of course latch on to these. On the other side, I have seen the "regular" crew of bakers refuse to accept anything that remotely looks like anon consensus and repeatedly bake split breads.

I know that most bakers are baking because they want to help provide a better source of information or at least a different perspective than the fully compromised MSM for anons and normies alike.

The thing is, this only works when anons and bakers are unified, and unfortunately you've been outwitted by someone who is an expert in the very same information warfare tactics that are currently used against the general population!

For every anon that reads the boards, there are 10 normies that read our notables on wearethene.ws, twitter, and so on. These are workfagging anons, anons' moms, and others. To me it's a shame that we haven't been able to produce anything that is worth putting in front of them for the past week, because it makes a real difference!

Had my posts acknowledge plenty and ignored often enough just like anybody before baking. Didn't truly understand until I baked, how difficult it is to catch everything. And the shills will try to destroy you at times. Sometimes anons don't provide enough info/support so baker can get overworked/worn out. Nobody step in to relieve. So when you take a bake, you know you're prob gonna be there for a while. Only relief will be baker buddies. They are dedicated, hard-working group and cover most of the bakes out of necessity, cuz anons don't step up. I mean somebody has to do it.

Anons should at least try to bake just so they can understand what it's like, gain a whole new perspective. Definitely think you should give it a go or do some note-taking to see for yourself. But sometimes you can get slaughtered baking during peak times. Even a seasoned baker. Also, anons don't call notables very much anymore. Seems it is on baker to decide and figure out. One reason to post notables often, is to get feedback, which is often lacking. Always glad to help anytime tho, when I'm around. Spill your guts anytime frens. I think the biggest thing that stops new bakers is not wanting to mess up while dealing with flying breads. General Research is sometimes Romper Room with unlimited triple lattes. I've been lucky enough to find a spot in two of the international boards. Even though that does not always go as expected. For instance: Current UK bread was baked by an anon that came up and saw the bread had filled. Was at 702 when I went to bed, and UK does not move as fast as General. There is this troll calling itself Jon James Pratt that likes to post tons of "stuff" on not only UK, but Nederland, Mexico, Scotland and I think two others. I was able to find his other persona Cosmiclol (999) had been kicked of reddit and twitter. Oh Well, always a shill somewhere right? The saddest thing to me is that the aggregator sites such as the one you run has stopped collecting.

I see the baker's job as analogous to an editor of print media. Select what is most important and create a very good headline for it. The arguments over whether a baker can solely decide something is notable, or whether it requires "votes" or "noms" from anons, to my mind is a silly argument. The baker is an anon first before being a baker. So their opinion, when sitting in the editor's chair, is already one nom from one anon.

And if somebody doesn't like my judgment as to what is important/relevant, well they are free to bake and substitute their own judgment. Over time, the loaves would reflect many different anons' "editorial" posture.

Would be possible, but probably not desirable, because it would allow shills to inject notables easily.

The site's code is pretty carefully tuned to look for signals of fuckery in the kitchen (split breads being one of them) and require manual review in those situations. The board is currently not in a state where the notables being collected are acceptable so I think this is the best option. I'll be updating as much as I can tonight though.

U have no idea how that helps. Bread starts flying and so notes and pressure increases to wrap everything up and have the next bread ready go. Having the caps ready for baker takes such a load off from having request and follow. In a fast Q bread, 50 to 60 posts flyby while a baker is asking and looking for caps.

I bake because I love being up to date on the latest happenings, decodes, and diggs; and want to help out anons who like to be up to speed like me. Bakers always provided me with a such a wealth of information, then one day in 2019, the notables list was taken away. I was so "upset" about it, I went to /qrb/. There was no one who wanted to bake on /qrb, but I wanted notables. So I started collecting them and baked a really bad qrb bread #2. I wanted anons to still be up to date so I just kept going on. Found out I loved it.

I bake in hopes of handing out information in an information war to my fellow anons. Pretty much the gist of it.

Yeah, one of the things hard to hear was when bakers asked a complete newbie who wanted to bake on a busy shift to do some practice bakes, and some shill jumped in shat on /comms/ saying no one should have to practice bake before baking LIVE.

Rusty created this place to help bakers. It sure helped me, espec when all i had was nb's notes to go by. They were great - still are - but it was the ability to practice bake here on comms (espec shadow baking) that gave me the confidence to do it LIVE. i never would have baked without this practice board. And now to see people calling dedicated bakers comms bakers - like it's something disgusting…..breaks my heart.

Not a criticism but an observation

Thinking this was as great intention at extending an olive branch, but as I observed comments made on the board and in comms, there seems to have been a line drawn in the sand on both sides. Bakers want anons to basically grow up..if I have that right? As such bakes won't happen by most here by your decree. Anons want to feel like they have a voice, and while I commend you in trying to do so..the terms where set and decided by this board. As such, the comments mentioned for the most part were they won't come here because it would not be productive. Most of this is paraphrasing but thinking you get the idea. Have a suggestion that might be helpful and create a neutral territory, meaning anons are not in your house and you aren't in theirs. What about a Q & A or thread something along those lines..thinking it wouldn't have to be monitored constantly while also providing voice to all. Nothing gets solved without communication and through communication can be the answers to miss understandings on either side.
