https://reddit.com/r/islamicsub got banned earlier today unfortunately, but it's to be expected from a place like Reddit. Anyone know where everyone went? Maybe we could setup again on Voat or something?

They banned a lot of small Muslim subreddits, its really opened the eyes of many Muslims on the site and some of them are leaving. There was a post on r/MuslimLounge today encouraging people to leave (https://www.reddit.com/r/MuslimLounge/comments/hjo7d3/reddits_latest_widespread_ban_somehow_banned/).

Using a copycat service is useless. Just like Reddit and Discord they will steal all your information, profit from it and delete whatever they don't like once enough people are dependent on their service. Try a decentralized, free (libre) software alternative like Matrix, XMPP or IRC if you need a community platform.

I've found a room about Islam on Matrix (Matrix is the protocol, Element is the client, you have the freedom to choose how to use the protocol) but most of the people are unaware how to use the the service properly since they're registered on matrix.org which is ran by kufar that are known for deleting rooms they don't like. Try chat.tchncs.de or chat.privacytools.io in the meanwhile.

I have a music class assignment and I need Muslim assistance for it.

I have one question, is music haram? Why or why not?

There is no right or wrong answer here. I just need opinions form Muslims on this issue. Thanks in advance.

Depends. If the music is used for parties and things that lead to the wrong path, then it is. Just like the usage of alcohol. If it is used for medical purpose, then it's halal while it is not when you use it to get drunk.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but it's common to see people criticize him. Sure, anyone can levy some criticism on his methods, but who among us has done more to spread Islam than him? Who else strikes more fear in the hearts of the street 🤬ters of India than him? So much so that they banned him from the country and spread lies about him as a terrorist sympathizer. May Allah (swt) forgive him of his errors and shortcomings and reward him for his efforts.

How do I deal with kufar? These days I don't even have the courage to tell them that I'm Muslim because of how much falsehood and lies people believe when it comes to Islam.

Just today I got called out for having rules at my own place including no pictures of women, NSFW or talking about serious issues in a degenerate manner.

Before I had a person on IRC tell me once that we're an evil globalist religion with a satanist leader that wants to take over the world. He himself used to be Hindu but is now atheist, he told me that he quit since traditional Hindus partake in cannibalism and necrophilia but I don't know how much of that is true.

I know that being a Muslim is something to be happy of and thank Allah for but if I tell them they will directly dismiss me as evil and the only way I can influence them is by sharing parts of Islam without making it too obvious. Any tips?

Salam Aleikoum,

I want to state first that this is not a "Q" thread. I am not from USA, I am a muslim that worships none but Allah (swt) and I wish to share with my brothers the results of my independent investigation.

The rabbit hole beginned with me trying to understand the dynamics of the "modern" world. The output of this reasearch, to say the least, looks dreary and might provide some elements of answer to the question "why are muslims becoming less muslims than previous muslims ?".

I have gathered the relevant visual data here in https://cytu.be/r/globaljoo.

Watch the material, don't take it at face value but rather get to your own conclusions.

May Allah (swt) guide us in this invisible psychological warfare on our ummah.

>I am really hesitating on whether I should share these materials with non-muslims.

Why tho? I am a Christian, yet here I am on this board because I am interested in everything what isn't familiar to me and because I like to do my own research. You should share what ever you considering to be a worth information for sharing, although, be aware and don't take everything seriously when you face some of the negative comments. There will always be those ones who are going to support you and your ideas and those ones who are going to hate you for no good reasons. We are living in the big world together, but we are separated from each others due to media's false narrative and peoples who are literally beveling in everything what media has to tell them (facebook twitter, etc). I have a very good neighbor who is a Muslim and we are respecting each others for a long time already. They know me since the times when I was a little kid, as same as I know their childerns since the times when they were a little kids.

I am congratulating their significant dates of holy holidays and vice versa. Life is too short to hate someone, or something.

Just read the history of the bosnian mujahideen, basically after the war the serbs, bosnian govt & USA signed the Dayton peace accord in 1995 which would find an agreement between the parties and it made alija Izetbegović become a president of bosnia. Under the agreement terms that he had to kick out the foreign volunteer mujahideen from the Balkans (who were from all over the ummah). So this murtad effectively exchanged the blood of the mujahideen for a position in a democratic kaffir system. This is treason and he is 100% a taghut, anyone who does not see that is blind or is ignorant of the history. This goes to show we should not trust any person who claims to be islamist, actions show your true nature.

Hello. I am a 20 year old male living in Canada. I do not believe in god simply because my family has not bothered to teach me much despite them being (liberal) Muslims.

I am upset with the lack of direction & discipline and community in my life. I think religion is a solution.

Capitalism makes me feel worthless and angry. I was sympathetic to communism for a long time. But I no longer believe in it because of its anti-religious sentiment, its support of LGBT and other degeneracy and I'd prefer the "third way" of Islamic economics.

I do not like certain aspects of Islam: for example I have had pre-marital sex multiple times with my partner, a Catholic (non-practicing) woman. We were both virgins before meeting one another and we agreed to get married with each other since we met.

My questions are,

- What is the Islamic view on economics, and is it opposed to socialism?

- What should I do about my premarital sexual relationship? I think that it would be impossible to find another virgin partner here in the west. I am very lucky and fully intent to marry this woman.

- I do not like certain aspects of Islam, particularly polygymy, female circumcision, the taxing of non-Muslims etc. Is dissent okay? What should a Muslim do about his "anti-Islamic" feelings?

If I understand those ayats above correctly, someone who kills himself will go to jahannam but also those ayats below say Allah forgives anything but shirk for whom He wills.

https://quran.com/4/48

https://quran.com/4/116

Is suicide a type of shirk or can Allah forgive someone and send him to jahannam at the same time? Can Allah forgive someone who committed suicide because of his feelings that cause him to not to be able to think reasonably? I am not assuming anything about Allah, I'm just asking. Astaghfirullah.

I've been tired of life for a long time and don't want to live honestly. I'm not afraid of death nor I'm sad to a great extent about people I will leave behind. Alhamdulillah my parents can take care of themselves and I have no spouse, child or younger sibling. Needless to say I'm not justifying it, astaghfirullah. I'm only afraid of jahannam. I feel so much confusion and weakness.

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

The one who studies the sources of sharee‘ah will realise that the Lawgiver disregarded words that were not meant as said by the one who uttered them; rather he uttered them unintentionally, as in the case of one who is sleeping, or forgot, or was intoxicated, or was ignorant, or was compelled, or made a mistake as a result of extreme joy or anger or sickness, and the like.

End quote from I‘laam al-Muwaqqi‘een, 3/78

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

Words spoken by one who was intoxicated do not count at all, whether they concerning himself or anyone else, and his actions are like the actions of one who made a mistake; he is to be taken to task for actions for which one who made a mistake is to be taken to task, so long as we do not know that he intended to do this haraam action by consuming the intoxicant. In that case we regard his actions as being like the actions of one who is sober and he is to be taken to task for them.

End quote from ash-Sharh al-Mumti‘, 14/444

The Messenger of Allah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said: “The Pen is lifted from three (i.e., their deeds are not recorded):

a child until he reaches puberty;

an insane man until he comes to his senses;

one who is asleep until he wakes up.”

[Recorded in Abu Dawud #4403, and Ibn Majah #2041]

Sources to learn about ibn Abdul Wahhab? Specifically in english, and about the history, not about his theology?

I understand that what he preached was pretty much just to turn back to the Quran and Sunnah, but I see that those who are against him say that he caused many of these conflicts, and mass takfir. But those who side with him I basically only hear them talk about his theology and them just claim that he was a warlord is lies. Wikipedia also seems to only give a one sided orientalist narrative. I wanna know why so many revere him, if the other side claim that he was a warlord.

Like I said, I'm not interested in his teachings and theology, from what I understand it was just a call to pure tawheed.

What I want to understand was his political involvement in history, because they claim that he teamed up with Al Saud, and convinced them to rebel against the Ottomans, and spread violence with the sword in Arabia, until they were crushed, and that this movement had a few more revivals in history until the Arab states were established after WW1.

It seems like opponents always point to the history to say that his movement was harmful but ignore his works, but Salafis point to his works to say that there was nothing of deviance yet don't talk about the history. Thats why I'm just so confused and want to get the Salafi or proponent perspective on the history.

At least you do you research instead of believing the common brainlet tropes

>because they claim that he teamed up with Al Saud,

Yup he did, and there's nothing wrong with that, in that time it was a common practice for an alliance between houses and the religious establishment. The ottomans had a monarchy too, but there the religion obeyed the king, but in the al saud pact, the power was split 50/50.

Al saud are not something odd in history, if the europeans didn't get involved, they would have simply been the next sultanate after the ottomans.

>and convinced them to rebel against the Ottomans,

It was not khuruj, or rebellion, since the ottomans didn't control the najd, and they neglected the regions they controlled of the hejaz, so much that the hajj was an unsafe journey full of road robbers. Also none of the sultans ever did hajj.

>and spread violence with the sword in Arabia,

Ottomans were way more violent, raped and beheaded muslims, blew them up with cannons, it was extreme racism against arabs. Even innocent ones.

>until they were crushed, and that this movement had a few more revivals in history until the Arab states were established after WW1.

Basically the 1st saud state was the purest in terms of theology, then the 2nd, but the 3rd (modern saudi) was established by ibn saud, who is a murtad actually, since he allied with britain against his own army called the ikhwan, which wanted a pan islamic state, not only bound to arabia.

Those ikhwan were the inheritors of abdul wahab, they were the theological group, ibn saud was the political leader, but he sided with britain, instead of trying to make a new caliphate.

>It seems like opponents always point to the history to say that his movement was harmful but ignore his works,

yup those are mostly rafidha and qoboori sufis who are trying to tarnish his personaliPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

pakistan & india hate each other so pakistan needs nukes as a deterrent for its survival

as for arabs well israel keeps bombing their nuclear plants and research facilities like in syria and iraq, also kills egyptian nuclear scientists, to prevent that, but saudi may or may not have nukes, since they funded pakistan's nuclear program they have a deal to share warheads, saudi bought chinese ballistic missiles which can carry nuclear warheads just in case iran gets a nuke

Let's post our favorite verses from the Qur'an and eleborate a little bit on them.

31:27

And if all trees that are on the earth were to be pens, and the ocean (converted into ink) is supported by seven seas following it, the words of Allah would not come to an end. Surely, Allah is Mighty, Wise.

I see the Qur'an as the hill on which to build your life, in order to make sure that the house you will build upon it is stable and secure. This verse, however, also shows you that outside of the Qur'an is a whole world to discover.

Of course, this is speculation, but I feel like verses such as these are what made sure that Islam never experiences a dark ages such as Christinity. The ability to embrace knowledge instead of shunning it away and deeming all discoveries heracy is truly something that makes Islam stand out.

It's allowed to have a favorite verse, as Ali (sunni source) did :

>Ali bin Abi Talib {May Allah be well pleased with him} said:

>“There is no Ayat/Verse in the Quran more beloved to me than this Verse:

>“Truly, Allah does not forgive associating others with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whomever He wills. {Quran, 4:116).”

{Sunan at-Tirmidhi ~ The Chapter on Tafsir of the Quran}

Technically, every israeli "citizen" does army service and is in reserve, so basically enemy combatants. Besides, shariah wise, they attack civilians as well so they broke that protection.

Yes, there is a conscription law (of which 26% of civilians were exempt from btw), but people who went to boot camp and served the bare minimum (never saw combat) would not be considered enemy combatants in this current conflict. Besides, a combatant, by definition, has to be active, so inactive people in reserve units do not count (fyi the majority of conscripts do not go into reserve units).

People who have not joined the army yet should also be taken to account.

>Besides, shariah wise, they attack civilians as well so they broke that protection.

The police who attacked civilians, and those who were attacked rightfully fought back. Does not excuse killing civilians in the other side of the country, though.

What does the Quran say about Jews?

The first verse in the Qur'an directly about Jews is 2:40 where God is addressing them and telling Jews to remember His favors on them and a covenant that is between them. Generally when it's about Jews, God talks about their history, how and why He bestowed favors on them, why He cursed them. God also talks about the psychology of Jews and how they behave and that at some point they projected their own flaws onto Him.

I see. What was the covenant between God and the Jews, and how did He curse them? Was it for breaking the covenant?
