“We heard he was having financial problems,” Louay Nassri, President of the Masjid Al Saalam mosque told Arkansasmatters.com. “Now if you don’t pay your fine, that’s an automatic six years in jail. Well, we didn’t want him to go to jail for six years,” Nassri said.

Shia is Da Vinci code tier and they have a priest class who tells you ‘secrets’ about the Quran and you have to pay them money every year. Shia are a small percentage of muslims that only have some power because 500 years ago Iran was forcibly converted from Sunni Islam by a ruler.

Salam,

I spent some time producing this graph to illustrate the difference between the effects of a traditional western bracketed income tax and Zakat. Please do correct me if I've made any mistakes, however I hope that this can be expanded upon and used to draw some useful conclusions from inshallah.

Red is zakat, blue is UK income tax. Dotted is the wealth gap at a given age, in the picture it's comparing a person earning ~250000 vs ~1250000. Solid is the actual wealth a person with the specified salary accumulates over their lifetime.

>Are you a mathematician by any chance?

No, I got some help from internet people.

>I don't know about the math behind zakat so can't correct you but I'm wondering where you got those equations for zakat.

After each year 2.5% of your total wealth is taken as zakat, this means that the function that progresses this is:

change_in_wealth(year) => earning-weath(year)*(tax/100)

Since this is a rate of change we have to solve a derivative in order to get the amount of wealth at any given point, and that's what gives you the equation in the graph.

I am a Muslim. Been on this board for a few years. You aren't pointing to a statement that isn't true, because there aren't any. I'm sorry you hate Christians so much. Umar Ibn al-Khattab once had a Christian servant that he trusted so much that he wanted to appoint him as a governor in one of the provinces, but the Christian servant refused to accept Islam.

Sometimes Umar Ibn al-Khattab RA would surprise his governors by showing up unannounced. He would find someone else to ask permission to enter the governor’s home, then all of a sudden Umar Ibn al-Khattab in his house. If he found that the governor had a rug or cloth hanging on the wall, he would tear it down. Umar would ask how many poor Muslims could be clothed with it, instead of having it hung on the governor’s wall as a decoration. The governors would have the money that they owned placed into a kind of trust when they accepted the position. While they were governor, they would receive a salary as subsistence to cover their basic needs, but by the time they were done in their position it would be set up so they didn’t save any money while they were governor, and they would get back the money they originally placed in a trust. People placed in governmental positions received little to no actual benefit from being placed there. Umar also forbid his governors from having physical hard doors on their homes. One Governor lived next to the market and had a door installed because the noise of the market was bothering him. Umar had that door removed.

Umar RA was especially picky about who he appointed as governor. One person who he was considering for the position of governor, he tested him by giving him commands to travel back and forth, over and over again, in a way that was very physically exhausting. He did this for most of the day just to see if the person would follow his orders, no matter how strange they were.

Once while he was travelling in one of the provinces, a man came up to Umar and said that he had been caught drinking alcohol. The governor not only had him lashed, but had him publically humiliated and told everyone in the area to boycott him. The man said that didn’t know what to do and he was considering leaving the lands of the Muslims. Upon hearing this, Umar, with tears in his eyes, gave him all the money he had and told him that in the time of Jahilliyah he too drank alcohol. He told him to go to a different area and then he sent a serious warning to that governor.

honestly I understand why they feel that way. my parents had a very unhappy marriage and are divorced now. I'm also really cautious about it partly for that reason, and also because I want to fall in love one day and I don't want an arranged marriage for that reason. I don't think waiting is a bad thing, but I want to learn to control myself until then. I think exercise might be a good help actually though.

>>34516

the reason i say my problems are caused by porn is because I am failing as a man. My motivation to work hard and physical strength are low and I am easily tempted. I feel that if I could break my addiction I would be an all around better person. I do feel when I do keep myself busy like you said and don't do it I feel better and I am more motivated, but staying off is hard

Anyway, all the infighting aside, I'll answer your question.

Qur'an cannot be translated. It can only be interpreted. That's something to know up front. There are no actual translations of Qur'an, only interpretations of Qur'an in other languages. To truly understand Qur'an, you have to learn the language of Qur'an. Since you're Christian, you might understand that as being needing to truly understand Greek in order to understand the New Testament.

If asked, I usually defer to the Arberry interpretation of Qur'an for beginners. It's not perfect, but it's easy to understand for English speakers and is a great starting point. There's a link in the sticky. However, this is a question that if you ask 100 Muslims, you will get 100 different answers.

'Iyad b. Him-ar reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), while delivering a sermon one day, said:

Behold, my Lord commanded me that I should teach you which you do not know and which He has taught me today. (He has instructed thus):

The property which I have conferred upon them is lawful for them. I have created My servants as one having a natural inclination to the worship of Allah but it is Satan who turns them away from the right religion and he makes unlawful what has been declared lawful for them and he commands them to ascribe partnership with Me, although he has no justification for that.

And verily, Allah looked towards the people of the world and He showed hatred for the Arabs and the non-Arabs, but with the exception of some remnants from the People of the Book. And He (further) said: I have sent thee (the Holy Prophet) in order to put you to test and put (those to test) through you. And I sent the Book to you which cannot be washed away by water, so that you may recite it while in the state of wakefulness or sleep.

Verily, Allah commanded me to burn (kill) the Quraish. I said: My Lord, they would break my head (like the tearing) of bread, and Allah said: You turn them out as they turned you out, you fight against them and We shall help you in this, you should spend and you would be conferred upon. You send an army and I would send an army five times greater than that. Fight against those who disobey you along with those who obey you. The inmates of Paradise are three: One who wields authority and is just and fair, one who Is truthful and has been endowed with power to do good deeds. And the person who is merciful and kind hearted towards his relatives and to every pious Muslim, and one who does not stretch his hand in spite of having a large family to support.

And He said: The inmates of Hell are five: the weak who lack power to (avoid evil), the (carefree) who pursue (everything irrespective of the fact that it is good or evil) and who do not have any care for their family or for their wealth. APost too long. Click here to view the full text.

That is one of my most favorite things to tell my brothers.

I like how everyone's talking about the image instead of the article. This guy is a legend. I wish there were more like him; folks who choose to learn and understand instead of hate. !سبحان الله

I don’t think we get actual psychopaths like the christian David Wood.

This guy is simply what the US military produces. If we were fighting Communists in Vietnam he would have become obsessed with Communists, etc.

We can only know a person's actions, while only God can know a person's heart. If he says he has converted and even gone so far as to act in the role of imam for his masjid, I see no reason for anything other than praise and thanks to God for guiding another lost soul onto His straight and true path.

What might be the state of the Ummah fifty years from now? One hundred? Can American Muslims survive assimilation? Will Europe's transitional secular period come to an end, with Islam now the dominant religion? How resurgent will Islamic Europe be?

I meant keep the pension percentage of budget the same. So if with 50m workers pensions are 30% of budget (5bn), when there are only 25m workers you keep 30% which is now down to 2.5bn. They had a duty to be fruitful and multiply, now they pay for their hedonism!!! I am so glad they will have to pay. I hate boomers so much.

Majority of Christians have nothing to do with Islam or Islamic countries, they live in South America, Africa and pacifist European countries.

Only former UK colonies and France actually do anything.

The only group of real friends I had growing up are throwing away and destroying their lives. Like I know they're kuffar, and kuffar gonna kuf. But it's so heartbreaking to watch the bright, intelligent, eccentric weirdos do this to themselves. It seems like University does nothing in the way of educating people anymore, it's just become a hive of the worst kinds of degeneracy.

Quite frankly I'm beginning to accept that I'm probably just going to be alone again.

I have quite a strong personality so being mislead has never been an issue for me. I understand the importance of having good Muslim friends, but I'm quite weird (which I think is part of the reason why I have such a strong personality) so making any real friends, let alone Muslim ones, is quite hard.

>That's an extremely arrogant statement, you will be influence by your friends and you are not infallible

Considering I refused to comply with people's ideas of normality and continue to do so even after being regularly attacked for it throughout secondary school, I think I can safely say that while I may have a number of flaws, the influence of others is not one of them.

>The prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) says you will be influenced by those kaffir friends

You're basing this off of a hadith that isn't even sahih.

>so get over your awkwardness and meet muslims, this is not optional.

I meet and speak to a number of Muslims, that's very different from being friends with them.

They're really quite different.

>If your friends are kuffar and even worst degenerates and you don't even give dawah to them

Why would you assume I wouldn't give dawah to them? These are people I care for of course I don't want them in hell.

If you wish to discuss the mosque shootings in New Zealand, do so in this thread. Keep discussion respectful and board rules apply. Do not post graphic imagery and do not link to, post, or provide screenshots of the murderer's video or manifesto. There will be no LARPing and /pol/-like behavior still needs to stay contained to /pol/. To make this absolutely clear: there will be no retaliation and anyone who thinks there will be or should be is not welcome on this board. Any attempted plans to retaliate in any way will be reported to the FBI or other authorities. Do not test me.

Some 8 /pol/ dumbass shot up a wallmart in El Paso TX today. He openly admits that he supports Breton Torrent and that he is scared to attack people that will defend themselves. All the more reason to try to get concealed carry permits where you are able, or to try to plan other ways to defend Mosques if case someone tries something.
