[3] Do not post images of the Prophets of Allah. Those images will be deleted.

[4] Outsiders are welcome, but must be respectful. Treat this board as you would a mosque in the real world.

[5] Christian debate/discussion is welcome, but must be kept to a single general. Other threads will be locked or deleted.

[6] Declaring takfir on anyone will be considered LARPing and be deleted. Repeated offences could be met with a ban.

[7] Keep /pol/ on /pol/. Racist caricatures/images are not allowed.

Your ethnic nationalism/supremacy has no place here and racism will not be tolerated.

QTDDTOT - Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

This is a catch-all thread for those questions that don't merit a lot of discussion and can be answered with a simple answer or reference. It is not meant to be a blog or general discussion thread. If discussion of a particular question lasts more than 4-5 posts, then the question does - in fact - deserve its own thread.

Example: "Where can I learn Arabic?" or "Do I have to change my name if I convert?"

Answers should be backed up with citation from Qur'an and Hadith. Petty arguments will be deleted.

Welcome to the 8chan Masjid

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

This board is the 8chan Masjid and should be treated as such. It is a place for Muslims to gather and discuss Islam and not intended as a place where Muslims must defend themselves or their religion from outsiders. If you would not do it in a real mosque in the real world, then don't do it here.

Controversial topics of discussion are permitted, but deliberate trolling/baiting and personal attacks will not be tolerated. /pol/-like behavior can stay on /pol/.

For the purposes of this board, and until otherwise proven absolutely haram, tasteful non-lewd images of people, nature, and animals will be allowed.

We are not for the comparison of the various world's religions. There are many, many other boards for that. Use them.

What do Minneapolis Muslims actually think of Ilham Omar?

I'm from Minneapolis, and the vast majority of Muslims I interact with here are Somali and there's a big language barrier, so it's tough to discuss more sensitive and nuanced topics. I'd love to know if anyone from the chans here has an idea, do Muslims like her? Are they just glad to have a nominal Muslim in Congress, or do they genuinely like her? Are they actually aware of what the Democratic platform is, let alone The Squad's? I honestly have no idea.

How to find and convert a non-Muslim woman to marry?

How to find and convert a non-Muslim woman to marry?

Looking for genuine advice. Basically I don't see myself happily marrying born Muslim women, due to cultural attitudes of the vast majority of Muslim cultures they come from. Theres almost always high standards (non deen related), like needing high status, high income, high mahr, needing to be fluent with their culture, all the while ignoring the aspects of piety and even where its not uncommon for some to outright reject you for being too religious. On top of that theres the issue of racism in many of these Muslim cultures, where they won't accept you if you're a different race, unless you're "marrying down" the racial hierarchy, usually meaning if you're lighter skin than them, and even then thats not always the case.

It just seems much easier to find a respectable non Muslim woman and show her the way to Islam, and then marry her. Its not about a fetish for non Muslim women for me, and I don't want to marry a Christian or Jewish woman, she has to revert to Islam.

So I need some advice on how to go about doing this.

Need opinion about living in a Christian country

I'm currently pursuing a bachelor in computer applications and plan on getting a masters in australia as I wish to specialize in a subject(maybe computer security) which isn't possible in my country since people teaching those subjects in most uni's have no idea what they're talking about. Coming from a desi country my parents are kind of unapproving of me living among westerners for obvious reasons. If anyone here lives/knows about australia please let me know in which parts there are mosques and muslims serving halal food. Even if you've been to similar countries then please do share any advice you deem relevant.

Please help me end this argument!

So, me and my friend had a huge argument over wether gay people can be good Muslims. I said that being gay is part of a test, and that even though it hurts to be in the closet forever, they will be rewarded in heaven for putting God over everything else.

She said that being gay means that you will be damned forever, and that even if you hide it and abstain that will not make it any better.

What is your opinion on this?

signs of Hadrat Mahdi

Question: Some people interpret the signs of the Mahdi into different things and say:

1. The word Medina refers to any city. That "The Mahdi will be born in Medina" means he will be born in a city, not in a village. As I was born in a city, you understand what I mean.

wtf what kind of explaination is that?

Khitan/khatna or circumcision in Islam

Salaam brothers and sisters. There is very little information on this topic on the internet in English. I'm aware of the health benefits of circumcision but there are still a few questions I have:

- Why do men have a foreskin at birth if they to remove it later anyway? The human body should be perfect according to our learning.

- At what age should circumcision be performed? My atheist friend thinks that performing surgery on your child and scarring his body without consent is unethical.

- Is usage of anesthesia permitted? I don't see why this would be a problem since you probably won't remember the pain of the surgery. It's probably also pretty dangerous to give drugs to babies since their bodies aren't properly developed yet.

- Do girls get circumcised too? Why or why not?

Superstitious elements of Islam

What are your defenses or explanations for the superstitious elements of Islam? I like most of the more elevated/philosophical parts of the religion and can see the logical necessity of doctrines like tawheed for example. But so much about Islam stretches credulity and seems cribbed from Bedouin folk tales.

>talking ants

>Jinn flying up to the "lower skies" to eavesdrop on angels talking about the future and being yeeted by Allah with meteorites

>a meteorite that we have to pray towards, circle around and make pilgrimage to but it doesn't count as an idol for some reason

Why do Muslims vote democratic?

Is it because democrats support immigration and seem supportive of minorities? There is a meme that "Islam will save the west" but I wonder if it is "The west will dilute Islam." I am not Muslim. This post is not meant to be antagonistic. I'm here to learn.

I think it's likely that Islam will become the dominant religion in the west. I'm not fighting against it. The west is the most descendant culture that's ever existed in the history of the world, and I'm glad to see that go.

My only concern is that I want the beautiful, great art of the Renaissance to be respected and preserved on its artistic merits. I don't care if a modern, low-quality church is turned into a mosque. It might be an improvement if the renovation is done well. I would want the same for the best examples of Muslim art if Christian cultures were overtaking Islamic countries.

It seems strange to me that Muslims support the pro-feminist, pro-transgender, pro-abortion, pro-hedonism of the democrats. In Minnesota, a Muslim woman was elected. Why would a Muslim *woman* run for office? This suggests Islam will be poisoned by the west. I've read about American men who travel abroad to find women who are more feminine than American ones, and that it is becoming more difficult as the world becomes more westernized. I've also read that if you plan to bring one of these women to America, she will likely become poisoned by the American culture by her new American friends, social media, entertainment, etc.

Can Islam defeat the decadence of the west, or will the decadence transform Islam into a new left-wing religion?

any advice?

I hardly pray 5X a day and its really starting to weigh on me. I've read many islamqa posts and some videos on how this is the equivalent of disbelief.

But I live in the west - and with the types of hours I work and school - it makes it very difficult to get 5. I can hit 3 or 4 , but my body becomes incapable of getting up for fajr because it's just that exhausted. Or equivalent for Isha or one of the others just due to work or something.

It's very disheartening and honestly its hard going to bed knowing that you are going to miss one the following day no matter what (wether its fajr or isha) and makes me want to exit the faith altogether.

If I'm going to asked on the day of judgement and my missed prayers are already in such a negative state - it becomes a why bother mindset very quickly.

I can't rationalize - "god will forgive me" when he made his commandments clear.

Trying again cause not sure it went through the first time

Islamic Awakening forums and David Myatt

This thread is probably going to glow brighter than the sun but I promise you I'm not trying to get anyone besides the man in question in trouble.

Some background: David Myatt is a lifelong neo Nazi and almost certainly a federal informant or agent who created the group Order of Nine Angles. O9A is a satanic group that espouses human sacrifice, terrorism, breaking moral norms and taboos and in recent years it's been connected to rape and child trafficking. In the 90s, Myatt's Nazi writings led directly to the London Nailbombings. Proof recently came out in court that the FBI was funding an American branch of the O9A in order to infiltrate and disrupt Atomwaffen Division.

Where Islam comes into this is that in the late 90s and early to mid 2000s David Myatt "converted" to Islam and became involved in circles which the mainstream of Western society would consider extremist (trying to be polite since idk this board's views on what I'm going to get into and because that's besides the point). He promoted Bin Laden, suicide attacks, attacks against civilians and some of his writings were allegedly published by Hamas. But the thing is, a core tenet of O9A is the idea of an "insight role" where you suddenly change your way of life and ideology, preferably to something radical and use that new role for personal growth and to cause evil. So I and many others who know about O9A think that Myatt's "conversion" was an insight role and that insight roles in turn are a cover for Myatt being a fed and O9A being a glowop.

Anyways, during his Islamic period Myatt was mostly active on a website called Islamic Awakening, which appears to no longer be on the clearweb. I'm not trying to get access, to out anyone who was or is involved with that forum or to mine info on the forum itself but if anyone knows anything about Myatt's activities on it that would help bring down a child trafficking MI5 agent who has most likely gotten Muslims arrested and has definitely committed terrorism against them by proxy (the Nailbombings targeted Bengalis among others).

If it matters, I'm not a Muslim or a Nazi or a journalist, I'm an amateur researcher of O9A coming at the topic from a left perspective.

Flat earth model is more in line with islam

This is an undeniable fact. Verses and hadith pertaining to 'the heavens', Allah being above all creation (asharis btfo), Allah's throne being above 'the waters', as well as the waters being one of the first creation's of Allah ta'ala and many others are very easy to fit in with the flat earth model, while the heliocentric model requires severe mental gymnastics. The only problem is that it is impossible to disprove round earth and it is in line with all modern observations. So how do we reconcile? I would appreciate to hear your thoughts regarding this before the tranny lover kharajite board owner removes this because he's too much of a coward to discuss anything outside his soy zone

To everyone claiming sunnism

Reminder that if you like many self-proclaimed "sunnis" of today reject the authority of our Sunni Leaders(eg Aal Sauud, Banu Hashim etc) or insult them in any way then you are not part of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah since you are rejecting one of its core principles.

Every group today claiming to be Sunni studies al aqidah al Tahawiyya(meaning it is accepted by both Asharis/Maturidis and Ahlulhadeeth/salafis). And here you find the article:

>72. We do not recognize rebellion against our Imam or those in charge of our affairs even if they are unjust, nor do we wish evil on them, nor do we withdraw from following them. We hold that obedience to them is part of obedience to Allah, The Glorified, and therefore obligatory as long as they do not order to commit sins. We pray for them right guidance and pardon from their wrongs.

The above is what sets Sunnis apart from the Khawarij who would rebel(=khuruuj) against the Muslim Leaders and accuse them of being kuffar. So just like it's essential for a sunni to accept the virtues of Abu Bakr(ra) in opposition to the shi'a, you also have to accept the above. This is such a fundamental part of us Sunnis that it was included with the articles of faith(belief in Allah, the angels, etc) and went on to be accepted as one of the most authoritative texts on orthodox creed. Thus if you disagree with one of these then you are no longer a part of the Sunni community.

Wa salaam

I fear of dying alone but I fear Allah more

Salam brothers. I studied in a religious high school. So I have no girlfriend experience. On the other hand I had no much interest to dating things before hs too. I always reminded myself such things are unnecessary and haram, I said to myself I will do it whenever its time to marry. Now I am in a course that is preparing for university exam. So classes are mixed. My buddy is about to ask out a girl. I didnt really care things until he was about to get a girlfriend. He talks about her, he goes to activities with her and I feel lonely.

Love seems like a good feel but my time hasnt come yet. But as I said on title I recently discovered blackpill and I started to fear of dying alone. I am tall, decent face but I am afraid I will be forever alone for being too much inexperienced/autistic with girls.

Also I feel so disappointed whenever I see high schooler hijabi girls with their boyfriend. Is all that patiance, struggle for the girls that has been kissed, touched by other men?

At the end this thread didnt reached anything. I just want some advice if you have been in a similar situations.

Say A (man) and B (woman) are a married couple. They end up divorcing but B ends up with another person, C (man). Since B is having a hard time cutting contact with A they stay in contact but it's damaging C since he wants to leave the past behind. In this scenario B is doing a haraam act by talking to a male other than her family or husband. Say that it was permitted to talk to your ex-husband, what could be other reasons that C is so upset about this and how does he justify his anger about the situation to B?

I like Islam but I believe Jesus was the son of God

I like Muslim culture. I think it is healthier in terms of not being as materialist, and having a more traditional understanding of men and women.

However, I believe that Jesus was God in human form and he was crucified. That is really my only hang-up. I had two very religious experiences. One was God sent Saint Mary Magdalene to introduce me to Jesus, and to set an example of a good follower of Him. God said she would always be with me. The second was God told me he would always be with him.

In this experience, it was never directly said that Jesus was God, though, but I just assumed so because I was raised Christian, but moved away from it.

I feel disconnected from my culture, I guess. I often feel sad and lost. God is a great comfort for me. He has helped me, and He is great.

Thank you for listening to my trouble, brothers and sisters. God bless you.

Looks like Isis calls its adepts in China to kill trans people

Used google to translate. Faithful believers in the world! We have witnessed that the words of the Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him!) are achievable. 'I must make them misunderstood' make them misunderstand… Let them indulge in fantasy, delay and neglect indefinitely, and be deceived by their own actions. 'Quran Notes' Tafsir ibn Kathir Sinners have gone beyond the permissible range all over the world. They change their bodies under the instigation of the devil, just like snakes change their skin. Those who are supposed to heal the body, but they have defiled Allah's creation with their skills have a double sin. The conspiracy of the devil does say this: 'They must be commanded to cut the ears of livestock, and they must be commanded to change what Allah has created.' 'Quran' Chapter 4 'Women' Sections 1 and 19 Those who walked on the same earth with the creation of Allah who was defiled by the devil, no one can think of themselves as Muslims. Kill everyone who used his healing skills to commit crimes against Allah. Kill their accomplices. Then you will be cleared of the last day, and the balance of good deeds will exceed your sins.

So, should you be Sunni or Shia?

Why be either Sunni or Shia? Which form of Islam is closer to the truth, if any? Can the two groups both be right in some ways? Can these two sects ever see eye-to-eye, and how can I start to learn about both in an objective way?

Hiding sins

I'm conflicted about scholarly opinion about hiding sins. Like especially when it comes to marriage. I've seen scholars say you shouldn't disclose the sins, but we know that this is something that if it comes up later during the marriage it could destroy a marriage. Ok.

Then scholars when it comes to the issue of adultery, if a spouse commits adultery, and then repents, its something they should hide from their spouse and not reveal. Ok.

But then, what if the wife commits adultery, repents, but then becomes pregnant from the man thats not the husband. Scholars are saying she should not reveal her sin, and the child becomes attributed to her husband. https://islamqa.info/en/answers/94820/she-committed-zina-and-got-pregnant-from-a-stranger-what-should-she-do

This is where I draw the line, and I can't reconcile their opinion with reality. Because in this last scenario, its a great injustice done upon the husband, not only that but you are disrupting the lineage, and attributing someone to other than their father.

How should I deal with judgmental, condescending People of the Book?

Texan here. I always wear the kufi in public, for important personal reasons that are too long to discuss here, so don't tell me "just don't wear the kufi". I'm a convert, but people think I was born and raised Muslim because I'm half Persian so i "look muslim".

When some rude elderly white Christian stares at me in public with contempt, do I have to completely control my anger and walk away, or can I calmly approach them and explain to them my life story and why I think reality makes no sense without Islam? I want them to see me as an individual who used to be extremely troubled with severe issues and then got guided to Islam, not "one of those brown foreigner immigrants"

What should I do?

First of all, I life in almost entirely Christian country. I'm one of 7 thousands of Muslims living here and there are tens of millions of Christians.

I have (or had) a girlfriend, she's not Muslim. She cheated on me. Now she has apologized me constantly for 4 days begging me to forgive her but I still feel disgusted by her. She's an alcoholic, she wasn't drinking for quite a long time but she started again right before she cheated on me. Now she promises that she will go to some half year rehab if I forgive her.

Dealing with kufar

How do I deal with kufar? These days I don't even have the courage to tell them that I'm Muslim because of how much falsehood and lies people believe when it comes to Islam.

Just today I got called out for having rules at my own place including no pictures of women, NSFW or talking about serious issues in a degenerate manner.

Before I had a person on IRC tell me once that we're an evil globalist religion with a satanist leader that wants to take over the world. He himself used to be Hindu but is now atheist, he told me that he quit since traditional Hindus partake in cannibalism and necrophilia but I don't know how much of that is true.

I know that being a Muslim is something to be happy of and thank Allah for but if I tell them they will directly dismiss me as evil and the only way I can influence them is by sharing parts of Islam without making it too obvious. Any tips?

Psychological warfare

Salam Aleikoum,

I want to state first that this is not a "Q" thread. I am not from USA, I am a muslim that worships none but Allah (swt) and I wish to share with my brothers the results of my independent investigation.

The rabbit hole beginned with me trying to understand the dynamics of the "modern" world. The output of this reasearch, to say the least, looks dreary and might provide some elements of answer to the question "why are muslims becoming less muslims than previous muslims ?".

I have gathered the relevant visual data here in https://cytu.be/r/globaljoo.

Watch the material, don't take it at face value but rather get to your own conclusions.

May Allah (swt) guide us in this invisible psychological warfare on our ummah.

Is Islam for me? Need a conversation with a Muslim

Hello. I am a 20 year old male living in Canada. I do not believe in god simply because my family has not bothered to teach me much despite them being (liberal) Muslims.

I am upset with the lack of direction & discipline and community in my life. I think religion is a solution.

Capitalism makes me feel worthless and angry. I was sympathetic to communism for a long time. But I no longer believe in it because of its anti-religious sentiment, its support of LGBT and other degeneracy and I'd prefer the "third way" of Islamic economics.

I do not like certain aspects of Islam: for example I have had pre-marital sex multiple times with my partner, a Catholic (non-practicing) woman. We were both virgins before meeting one another and we agreed to get married with each other since we met.

My questions are,

- What is the Islamic view on economics, and is it opposed to socialism?

- What should I do about my premarital sexual relationship? I think that it would be impossible to find another virgin partner here in the west. I am very lucky and fully intent to marry this woman.

- I do not like certain aspects of Islam, particularly polygymy, female circumcision, the taxing of non-Muslims etc. Is dissent okay? What should a Muslim do about his "anti-Islamic" feelings?

If I understand those ayats above correctly, someone who kills himself will go to jahannam but also those ayats below say Allah forgives anything but shirk for whom He wills.

Is suicide a type of shirk or can Allah forgive someone and send him to jahannam at the same time? Can Allah forgive someone who committed suicide because of his feelings that cause him to not to be able to think reasonably? I am not assuming anything about Allah, I'm just asking. Astaghfirullah.

I've been tired of life for a long time and don't want to live honestly. I'm not afraid of death nor I'm sad to a great extent about people I will leave behind. I understand that what he preached was pretty much just to turn back to the Quran and Sunnah, but I see that those who are against him say that he caused many of these conflicts, and mass takfir. But those who side with him I basically only hear them talk about his theology and them just claim that he was a warlord is lies. Wikipedia also seems to only give a one sided orientalist narrative. Favorite Ayah/Verse from the Qur'an?

Let's post our favorite verses from the Qur'an and eleborate a little bit on them.

And if all trees that are on the earth were to be pens, and the ocean (converted into ink) is supported by seven seas following it, the words of Allah would not come to an end. Surely, Allah is Mighty, Wise.

I see the Qur'an as the hill on which to build your life, in order to make sure that the house you will build upon it is stable and secure. This verse, however, also shows you that outside of the Qur'an is a whole world to discover.

Of course, this is speculation, but I feel like verses such as these are what made sure that Islam never experiences a dark ages such as Christinity. The ability to embrace knowledge instead of shunning it away and deeming all discoveries heracy is truly something that makes Islam stand out.

Islam's attitude toward "jews" and their history

quite a bit of research has led me to believe that the people who call themselves jews are in actuality the Amalek from the Old Testament, the enemies of historic jews and the 12 tribes. These amalek refer to the Torah as the "written Torah" because they don't actually follow it, they follow the "oral torah", which is the Talmud, which is which most Rabbis refer to when they use the word "Torah" among themselves.

What the Talmud really is, is a large set of "jewish" loopholes that allow the pharisees to say they follow the God of the Torrah while in fact they are doing the opposite. Thou shalt not kill becomes thou shalt not kill a "jew", or do various crimes unto him, and a "gentile" shall not victimize another gentile, but a jew can certainly commit these crimes against nonjews and in some interpretations he is obligated to. This is the foundation of jewish law, and the reason Palestinians are treated as if they were inhuman. It's because they're not "Jewish."

The New Testament was written directly for these Talmudic tribalists, who wage war on God in His own name by subverting His teachings. It is a rebuttal to Talmudic law, aka Satanism.

In response to the New Testament/Christianity, the rabbis appended Christ into their filthy book the Talmud, as a man being stoned forever at the bottom of a pit of dung.

These rabbis are ofc descendants of the pharisees, who descended from Cain's line, through Namah then Ham and Canaan, mixed with Essau and eventually became the Phoenicians of Syria, who moved to Lebanon and set up colonies around the mediteranean as they worked the merchant trade, including most profitably the trading of slaves.

Eran Elhaik a free-thinking "jewish" geneticist charts their movement from southern Europe through northern Europe, Persia and then Northern turkey to run the slave trade, where they invented yiddish as a way to talk among each other without the goyim being able to hear. they migrated to Khazaria, near present day armenia, where they lived until the Russian Tsar chased them out. They moved largely to the Pale of Settlement and Germany from there.

The point of all this which I'm sure Elhaik has never publicly entertained, is that this wandering tribe of Canaanites/Edomites is not descended from Adam through Seth, but from the Serpent, who fathered Cain.

Christianity, which has been led astray by shabbas goyim like Scofield rewriting the bible, is at the root a religion of following God and fighting Talmudism, which again is Satanism.

What does Islam say about the Pharisees? I am an agnostic and I want to understand Islam but don't have time to sufficiently research it. Feel free to disagree with anything I posted above. My view is that Christians and Muslims should unite against these literal devil worshippers. What is preventing this, from the Muslim perspectives?

R: 0 / I: 0 / P: 6 [R] [G] [-]

we mus unite!!!!

Assalamu'alaikum, my brother who is blessed by Allah the Almighty, since currently my social network accounts such as Twitter and Instagram have been suspended and blocked and one of them is by Facebook. while on my other Instagram they filter and block from embedding hashtags in posts. then i can no longer for a while,

to gather movements through virtual networks, to carry out a revolutionary movement against globalists and their legs, including the puppet governments in our country which are controlled by them, so that they implement the jahiliyah system in our country. and the only way is through the power of the world community, especially the lower & middle layers.

which they realize that injustice, arbitrariness and also tyranny of injustice have occurred in their country due to corruption and a wrong system, as a result of the rulers no longer willing to submit to the rules, laws and orders of God.

and where at this time, damage, crime, and immorality. also heresy is rampant.

we do have to mobilize & mobilize mass demonstrations across the country and put up a fight against the tyrants who are the slaves of globalists. and practices of corruption and economic monopoly and banking, which are based on fraud and usury practices, all of which we have to tear down & destroy.

Their beast satanic system, as well as all their agendas, conspiracies & evil plots, we must defeat and eliminate.

maybe this will lead to greater conflicts and wars, but you know this way is the only way that can overthrow their great strength, both in weapons, logistics and production units as well as their industry. most of us may be broken with them, but our whole soul is still free from them

, and then for those who survive this first day of destruction (modern century) they will give thanks to God and give thanks for the struggle and the shed blood of all of us. this is the day we can be free from the restraints of the tyranny of the rebellious rulers of God's law,

which they love to do damage and injustice and enslave humans to lead astray and ally themselves to Satan. as a result of their offers and threats and restraints, it is possible that someday we will sell our faith in God. to the wealth and prosperity they give from the results of their evil.

on another day I will give instructions when we should carry out demonstrations of revolution & resistance simultaneously throughout the world. and hopefully God provides a way for us and victory

but for this time, I ask that you help me spread this info and posts … and share it with all our brothers and sisters, on all social media that you can reach out to. Don't forget to insert the hashtag below, because the keywords in this hashtag,

can collect and send notifications to our entire revolutionary community in cyberspace. and this information that we publish will quickly move the mass assemblage that is much bigger and wider globally.

Salam, whenever I'm watching people like Zakir Naik on the internet talk about Islam they're always able to strengthen their arguments with citations from the Quran and quotes from the prophet (PBUH). Is this all just scripted or are people like him really able to give answers to Islamic questions backed up by Quran verses and where you can find them with this much ease?

What type of muslims go to paradise?

Salam fellow brothers and sisters. A few weeks ago I was having a discussion with my father where I was comparing division in Christianity (Catholic, Orthodox, Protestants …) with those in Islam (Sunni and Shi'ah) praising Islam for having such little diversity within it. After that he pointed out that according to the Quran there are more than 100 groups in Islam of which only 1 goes to paradise (couldn't find the source on the internet).

This fact got me really anxious and has stuck with me since because I live in Europe and you can easily notice how Muslims around me give up more of their religion year after year due to destructive trends in society. Girls don't wear hijab anymore because it's forbidden so they adapt to the tight, transparent and short clothing that Western girls wear. Boys on the utter hand suffer from this since they have a hard time lowering their gaze. If you even dare to make a remark about this you're gonna immediately be called a misogynist and it's just really painful watching the people that I love losing their culture and identity.

What is the solution to this? Should I just move to a country like Saudi Arabia where law makes it easier to keep myself from sinning? Will my reward for i.e. reading Quran and doing extra prayers be decreased because it's easier?

Can you be communist?

What's the Islamic argument against Communism?

I just talked to a brother who said communism works in theory and is compatible with Islam. I told him how Marx was atheist, lenin pushed militant atheism, stalin, mao and the rest of the big-name commies were anti-God, anti-religion, basically had no ethics. Also listed the atrocities they committed, but he denied the numbers or extent and said it was western propaganda.

In terms of ideology and society it doesn't seem to fit the sharia and normal economic transactions. What say you?

Well wishes from a visiting Christian

السلام عليكم

مَساء الخير

Hello to all of you in /islam/, my greetings and best wishes on behalf of your Christian neighbours and brothers.

I wish all of you a most blessed Ramadan, and hope it treats you well. Hopefully your first Iftar has been delicious; it is around this time of the month when I miss my old neighbours from Algeria most strongly.

In these uncertain and divisive times, in which it seems that hatefulness and ignorance becomes more and more dominant as the days go by, it is always good to keep in mind that there is more that unites us than divides us.

We know that Christianity and Islam have much in common, and while we certainly disagree on many matters, I find it best and most productive to celebrate what binds us together, rather than condemn that which drives us apart.

Forgive me if my Arabic is rusty, it has been a while.

I've been struggling really hard this Ramadan to fast and perform good deeds but most of it was in vain and I keep getting off the right path.

The day before Ramadan I was shocked to hear about it and had masturbated to p9rn earlier that day after abstaining for 2 weeks because I felt lonely. I read some Quran the first few days but failed to make it a habit. I also missed a day of fasting because I couldn't resist the urges to masturbate. This week was going well until yesterday and today because I woke up too late for suhr, ended up eating compulsively right away not realizing that fajr had already passed by meaning I broke my fast.

Please give me advice and make du'a for me so that I will be able to stay on track for the remaining days of the month.

Material Pleasures in Paradise

One thing that isn't clear to me is the nature of the believer's paradise in Islam. Many sources I've seen promise material pleasures like fine wine, virgins and large feasts.

Why would life in heaven be anything like it is on earth? Sexual pleasure seemed particularly suspect to me. As far as I know new souls are created on earth, so there is no procreation in heaven and thus no need for the sex instinct.

The whole idea seems to clash hard with Islam's acetic principles and with much of doctrine which characterizes carnal desires as inherently sinful and symptomatic of earthly existence. Would it not be more sensible for those desires to be simply removed upon entry, like mental and physical illness?

Perhaps this will be more clear with further study on my part. Where should I go to learn more about the afterlife?

Islam is anime, Quran verses about anime

I will not write about the surrah of this subject in their totality because i will let the rest be your understading (and what is totality for knowledge) it should be common knowledge that the lines can't be read in a judicial/literal/unambiguous way, so we can't escape our on ingenuity about understading and so i'm ingenuous too. But the quran makes reference about a recompense for the companions of the right who them will receive as a recompense:

Anime is not HARAM, ISLAM is anime and anime should be islam. The companions of the right are all anime watchers and for them are waifus made in a "new creation" of women it "large beautiful eyes" and of equal age if you read in the totality.

Most literal translation of the Qur'an, preferably with links to relevant ahadith and varying interp

Alright, what is the most grammatically literal and lexically literal translation of the Quran?

I don't need two paragraphs of interjections placed inside the text by the House of Saud """""""""'''explaining"""""""" an ʾāyat in a way that is neither intuitive nor sourced. I also don't need someone trying to massage the Arabic into English grammar or replacing Arabic words that have no English equivalent with an English word.

If "mercy" in Arabic means "taking care of someone completely, like a baby being taken care of totally by a mother in its womb", please bring on the asterisks or square brackets or just untranslated Arabic that I can look up.

If r-raḥmāni r-raḥīmi means "the merciful, the compassionate", that's what I want to read. Not "the most merciful, the most compassionate". An explanation of the choice of particular words for translation is great.

If there are any translations that meet the above criteria and mention relevant aHadith and the divergent ways an ayat has been interpreted (and by whom), that would be even better.

Please and thank you.

For full transparency I am reading about Islam and have not converted. I really am grateful for anyone who takes the time to help me.

Returning to Islam

After a period of leaving my faith and insulting Islam out of ignorance, I decided to study Islam again and realized that it truly is the one correct path. I want to become a good Muslim again but I am not sure where to start. When I pray I get easily distracted, and can't maintain focus. I also have bad habits from my old lifestyle such as masturbation. I am on nofap currently, but besides praying I'm not sure what I have to do in order to properly return to Islam and repent for my past sins. Please help me if you can.

How do you guys feel about sheikhs like Yasir Qadhi who speak of jinn posession/sihr/ayne? A lot of scholars perpetuate knowledge in regards to these things that seem to just be the pesonal experiences of ruqyih, and it's bordering on dajjal-like false prophecy from my perspective. Unless knowledge of the unseen is from the Quran or sunnah it's great misguidance and false prophecy according to this;

The truth about Aisha´s marriage

There´s unfortunately a very common misconsception about RasulAllah´s marriage to Aisha that even many Muslims believe nowadays and that the kuffar constantly quote against us: "Aisha married the Prophet when she was 6 yo and consummated the marriage at 9". I will in sha Allah explain how this is false through various points.

1. Paedophilia in an Islamic State is one of the 10 crimes punishable by death.

2. The man that narrated the hadith was a senile old man with dementia, so he made a mistake when he narrated because he forgot.

3. According to the Quran, only two consenting adults can consent to a marriage, and that is why prepubescent planned marriages are wrong since the girl in the future might dislike the marriage.

4. According to Islamic history, it is impossible for Aisha to have been at that age, at that time. I quote from an article:

"Hazrat Aisha can be easily calculated from the age of her elder sister Hazrat Asma who was 10 years older than Hazrat Aisha. Waliuddin Muhammad Abdullah Al-Khateeb al Amri Tabrizi the famous author of Mishkath, in his biography of narrators (Asma ur Rijal), writes that Hazrat Asma died in the year 73 Hijri at the age of 100, ten or twelve days after the martyrdom of her son Abdullah Ibn Zubair. It is common knowledge that the Islamic calendar starts from the year of the Hijrah or the Prophet’s migration from Mecca to Medina.

Therefore, by deducting 73, the year of Hazrat Asma’s death, from 100, her age at that time, we can easily conclude that she was 27 years old during Hijra.

This puts the age of Hazrat Aisha at 17 during the same period. As all biographers of the Prophet agree that he consummated his marriage with Hazrat Aisha in the year 2 Hijri it can be conclusively said that she was 19 at that time and not nine as alleged in the aforementioned hadiths."

IslamQA- allows trans sex change?

IslamQA is a reputable Islamic source according to many. When it came to the transgender issue, I always thought transitioning was not allowed no matter what, especially since I hear people make fun of Iran and shias for allowing sex change, but I came across this on their site, essentially that if you feel like a woman and a specialist also approves, then you can go ahead with the surgery:

>Thirdly: if your masculinity is not established, and you only think that you are a man because of what you see in your body of outward masculine appearance, in contrast to what you feel in yourself of having feminine characteristics and an inclination towards males and being sexually attracted to them, then you should examine your situation and not go ahead with the surgery that you have mentioned. You should consult experienced specialist doctors. If they determine that you are male in outward appearance but are in fact female, then you may submit yourself to their treatment, so that they can bring out your femininity by doing surgery. But that will not in fact be a sex change from male to female, because this will not be up to them; rather it will be bringing out your true nature and removing what is in your body, and what you feel deep inside you of confusion and ambiguity. But if nothing is clear to the experts, then do not take the risk of undergoing this surgery; be content with the decree of Allah and be patient with what has befallen you, seeking to please your Lord and protecting yourself against the possible consequences of doing an operation without guidance and insight concerning your condition. Turn to Allah and beseech Him to relieve you of what you are facing, and to heal you from your psychological problems, for control of all things is in His hand, may He be glorified, and He is able to do all things. End quote.

What did they mean by this, and so whats the orthodox ruling on this?

A question about marriage

Salam brothers

I have been thinking about marital relations.

I noticed that in most animal species males behave the same: The find a female in heat, impregnate her and leave her so she would take care of their children alone.

Human males also instinctively want to follow this "hit-it and quit-it" behavior.

My question is this: is the main reason of marriage is to ensure that a man will stay with a woman and help her to raise children since human kids are much harder to raise compared to other infant animals?

Hey guys

I used to be a Christian. I grew up a Pentecostal. The ones with the snake handlers and all that. Not very religious anymore but I love reading about other religions. They fascinate me. Even Christianity does sometimes still.

I found a post on Facebook about the God Muslims worship actually being a lunar deity named hubal.

Now. After some extensive reading on the subject I am aware of the fact Muslims deny this allegation. And I am in no way trying to say it’s true. I know that Muhammad had idols in Mecca destroyed when he invaded and conquered the city.

Due to how sometimes record keeping and misinterpretation happens. From a non biased and objective viewpoint only for debate.

Could this be possible? For instance how Christianity adopted MANY pagan holidays and customs from its domination of Europe? Just food for thought. Not here to cause a fuss. I am curious on what a Muslim would have to say about this.

How do I choose a mosque to go to and also overcome the fear of going there?

Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

I reverted to Islam almost a year ago and I have been trying to learn as much as possible about the faith since then. I pray on my own and everything, but I need a community. I thought that I will be able to be alone until I graduate from university and live on my own, but I really feel the need to go to a mosque.

It looks like there are 3-4 mosques in my area, most of them are situated in little storefronts. There's one Islamic Center, but I don't want to go there because of personal reasons (some friends/acquaintances of the family I have go there and I don't want my family to know I'm a Muslim).

The problem is, as I have mentioned on this board in the past, that I suffer from extreme anxiety. I'm a male, for reference. I even suffer from this when I used to go to a church in a new area alone without my family (even though I was a lifelong Christian).

How do I choose a mosque? One of them looks to be for Turks, another for Southeast Asians and yet another is a mix of groups (I gathered this from the pics they have online). Also, what's the best way to go to there? Should I try to text message the imam and ask if I can come in? I don't just want to show up because I wouldn't know what to say. Also, I kind of feel silly going because it looks like I will be the only white guy there and it would be hard to fit in, if that makes sense. I really want to be able to have a mosque community, though.

It's a long post, but I just typed out everything that came to mind. :)

Islamic Japan

I was reading into my countries history (mainly the Meiji restoration) and found out that Japan nearly became Islamic.

Basically to combat the west pro Japan nationalists and muslims forged a close alliance and in 1906 the emperor was going to convert to islam.

I can't find anything on why it was abruptly stopped however, there's a few theories but there's little evidence to support them.

Theory one is that the British threatened that they would declare war on Japan if they did, I find this unlikely but Britain have had a bad history with us so it wouldn't surprise me.

Second theory is that the Rothschilds threatened to kill Japan economically if we did, which is more likely but I don't think they would've threatened and I don't think it'd stop the country from becoming islamic.

What would an islamic Japan even be like?

Guenon was a french Catholic who developed a philosophy of traditionalism (one tradition cannot contain the universal as this itself is beyond words but many traditions can express the universal). He thought Catholicism's traditionalism had become exhausted and moved to Egypt and became a Sufi, seeing as how Islam still preserved it's traditionalist nature. It's more complicated than that but there you go.

>The reason for ignorance today is not the absence of information, as that is ever-available in books, screens and the internet.

>Rather it is the absence of knowledge & understandings built on or extracted from rigorous scholarly foundations and methodology.

>So whoever attempts to treat the ignorance of people today with simple information may actually be having little effect, or actually causing more problems than solving them.

>The goal should be to improve understanding, so that people can make sense of information already available.

please keep in mind that this large amount of information is not intended to 'convert' anyone, but is intended for those with sincere inquiries & those seeking these resources. know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart.

in some cases an overwhelming amount of information may be a counter-productive invitation; do not invite to Islam by simply giving someone these resources when you can do more for them & not overburden them.

i am happy to hear suggestions and have added much to this list over time, but do not know of anything missing/broken.

i've taken most every resource i could find for learning the basics & essentials of Islam, and adapted previous resources ( such as here: >>41617 )

this includes numerous articles, videos, and books. all of the 5 links in this post are in the 1st link.

We can't ignore it because those alt-twitter accounts will spread poltards' sh*ty opinions. There will be a "sh*t on Muslim" campaign. We can't stop it with posting replies of the truth on those threads because we will be ignored. We have to create our own thread, and anons in /Islam/ will support this thread. We have to show them the real Islam, we have to show them propagandas of Jewish media that used Isis etc. The real jihad is not with guns but with brains! This is what Islam says.

The first thing to do is creating our thread. Let's write together in this thread.

The rise of racism and facsism is a good thing for muslims in the long term. I always laugh at these islamic activists who desperately try to “raise awareness”. They’re putting their trust in a decaying system

I've always supported "racism" in the West, because there's nothing sweeter than a non-White trying to act civilized because of his/her liberalism and then pushed into the definite state of sub-human by the masters LOL.

Also the fact that non-whites are forced to admit their race is "inferior" since both whites and non-whites subscribe to the secular/liberal belief that scientific/technological progress is the only marker of a race/civilisation.

Is this period in time the easiest or hardest time to be a Muslim compared to past few hundred yrs?

So in this day an age with the increase of globalization, increase of communication, networking, more access to information and people, theres more opportunity to learn about Islam, Islam can reach a lot more people, but at the same time theres a lot more propaganda, a lot more people trying to skew the words of Allah, to create tension with and within the Muslim community. Theres also a lot more access to haram and temptations. But at the same times theres more reminders to Muslims to stay on the path of Islam.

Heres also another thing to think about, we have examples of degenerate societies in the west, not only that but they do studies on themselves which end up exposing the negative effects of their ideals which go against Islam. Of course the main reason we are Muslims are not the rulings specifically but because we believe in Allah and his messenger, also that these results may not be the reasons why Allah gave his rulings and we can only guess the wisdom, but these insights I think really aid in convincing many Muslims.

>Why is homosexuality wrong?

increased mental illness comorbidity, STDs, etc.

>Why is sleeping around wrong?

more promiscuous people less likely to stay in committed relationship, increased STDs, increased single mothers, children without fathers are worse off in life

>why are alcohol and intoxicants haram?

drug abuse, poisoning, addiction affecting other lives, increased crime, pressure on health system/community

>why can a Muslim man marry Christian or Jewish women, but women can't?

women and children more likely to conform to mans beliefs and views

>why can a man have multiple wives, but women can't have multiple husbands?

studies show biological evidence indicate humans are moderately polygynous

>why do we need religion?

Religious people live happier lives

Just a hundred years ago if we were asked why these rules were in place we would only be able to give the reason is 'because Allah said so', but now we can say 'Allah said so, BUT heres some other facts about it that may be the wisdom behind why he said so'.

I work with women who dress extremely sexy and don’t know how to deal with it

I supervise some college aged women at work who dress in a very sexy way (yoga pants or very small shorts).

I am single and often fantasize about them. I have mixed feelings as I wish they were more modest and only showed that much to their future husbands, and I’m concerned about how men may use them for sex. But on the other hand, I enjoy being in the presence of sexy women. They like working with me and often do so for their entire 4 years at college.

I am not allowed to date them. I don’t know how to deal with my feelings. Am I bad for fantasizing about them? I feel like I am promoting their behavior in same one, even though this is entirely in my head.

I feel so confused because one of them wore very tiny shorts when working with me (I could see skin of her bum) then later in the afternoons she changed to jeans when she worked for a woman. I feel like they are flirting with me which makes it harder to resist fantasizing. I feel guilty for liking this.

We do not have a dress code at work. It’s basically what the students wear to class.

Learning Arabic

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته وسلام على المرسلين والحمد لله رب العالمين أما بعد

A couple of days ago someone mentioned starting a thread for learning Arabic, I thought it was a good idea so here it is. My thought is that we can share resources and ask each other questions about the language.

I'll start off with two great resources that'll take you quite far. They're aimed at someone who knows the Arabic script but not anything else. After these you should be at a level where you can start studying Arabic in Arabic.

1. Madinah series, which is used at the Islamic University in Madinah and very beginner friendly(as said above you just need to know the alphabet). It consists of three textbooks in Arabic, along with three in English explaining the grammar of each lesson, and an answer key. There's also a lot of complementary material in form of grammar summaries etc. Everything can be found for free(no copyright) at

2. Simplified Arabic by Arthur Upson. Another great book available free(copyright expired). It's layed out in terms of 200 chapters each accompinied by translation excercies with answer keys. Ideal for self studying. It can be found at https://archive.org/details/arabicsimplified00upsouoft

The number of Muslims killed by France in Algeria is estimated to be as high as 10 million. Letting them get away with it is probably part of why they are so arrogant. If Muslims kill more than 10 million French kuffar, I will seriously consider condemning the killing. Till then, it's open season I guess.

I realized some time ago sins only made me and my life worse. Namely, p*rn addiction is the worst thing that happened to me. It simply messed up my life. I regret gambling too, for obvious reasons. I could go on but you already know the point. There is a wisdom behind why Allah forbade some things. Thank God I think about it more sensibly after some life experience and self-awareness.

Nasheed & Exercise

I want to start running again but since I have become a muslim i do not listen to music anymore.

Does anyone have any playlist or something on youtube of nasheeds (preferably in english) that would be good to run to? Jihadi (and Sunni) ones preferably, but anything that sounds good is ok.

I have found some good ones from IS in english that are almost like the (degenerate) angry rap i used to listen to when exercising (they get me pumped and energized).

But i need at least 30-40mins worth of audio for my run.

The situation/condition of women in England in ~1800

Khan [d. 1805/1806], an Indian Muslim traveler of Turkic descent, on the situation/condition of women in England in ~1800:

"…no woman of respectability ever walks out (in London), unless attended by her husband, a relation, or a confidential servant."

"…they never think of sleeping abroad, even at the house of their father or mother, unless the husband is with them."

"The father, mother, and whole family, also consider themselves disgraced by the bad conduct of a daughter or a sister."

"…by the laws of England, a man may beat his wife with a stick which will not endanger the breaking of a limb, or may confine her in a room, the women dare not even give their tongues too much liberty."

How to 4 wives?

I can't find many resources or info about the logistics of Islamic polygyny, like if I want to go about doing it, how would I talk to the first wife about it, how would I talk to the in laws about it, how would vacations and stuff work.

Every thing online is just either warning against it or constantly reiterating the responsibilities it brings. Im aware about the responsibilities, I want to know how feasible this would be for me if I choose to do it in the future.

Im seeing how like first wives are seeking another wife for their husbands, but they never explain the mentality for this. The media, especially western media, always just portrays it like a circus, despite the majority of societies throughout history practicing it.

Any of you guys have experience with polygyny, or know of anyone who has more than one wife? Any of you guys have any resources I can look at (english plz)? What are the benefits of it aside from more sexual pleasure?

Building bridges - version 2

Hi friends. I am a Christian who is kinda tired of hate. I am sure the Quran has something to say about hate too.

Why should Christians and Muslims hate each other? The way I see it, we stand for the same thing ultimately - no degeneracy, no American TV shows indoctrinating our children, no loose morals, but strong integrity and ethics. Do you agree, or is this more of a moralist view?

I think we can agree on american culture being the cancer that seeks to spread all over the world and destroy it (I wouldn't call it "western" really, because it all comes from the US). We can also probably agree that many sects of Christianity are cancerous and should be cleansed (same probably goes for many Islamic sects).

I would love to hear your views and opinions on these things. Hate brings only hate and never ending cycle of hate, it is Jesus who taught me to take the higher road and forgive my enemies, because there is no difficulty in being kind to your friends. Again I am sure the Quran must bring similar wisdom.

Another thing I would like to hear your opinion on is - are the Muslims in Europe doing gang rapes and grooming children doing it because of Islamic culture or is it something about their specific countries (please note that this is not a bait - I am genuinely curious about your views of this matter, and I'm again sure we can all agree pedophiles and rapists are animals). Please don't answer this with "Christians do this too" - of course they do, I am aware of it, just curious of your opinion as I said before.

Is the ultimate goal of Islam to spread all over the world and be the only allowed religion? I am asking because from my point of view, diversity and experiencing other cultures is a happy thing (when everyone keeps to their own culture - but that is another matter entirely).

Thanks, have a nice day.

Deception of the kuffar

When I read about migration from Africa to Europe, I always hear phrases like "migrants in search of a better life."

It's as if it is assumed that "a better life" applies only to material standards; food, clothes, cars, houses, infrastructure.

When I first went to Africa though, it seemed to me that the people had better lives than myself.

I was an only child, and spent countless hours alone as a child watching television or sitting on a computer. I had a room filled with toys, but often no one was there to play with me, so I'd play alone.

When I went to any beach frequented by ethnic Europeans, I always noticed how the people would try to avoid each other. If the beach was 2 miles long, the first group to arrive would go to one end; the second group would go to the opposite end, trying to be as far away from the others as possible.

The first time I traveled Africa, I went to the beach in Senegal. It was a huge beach stretching miles in either direction, and I was amazed, because there were around 500 people on the beach, all concentrated in an area of maybe 100 meters. That stretch of water was packed with children so that the noise was quite loud, but they all seemed, on average, to be quite a bit happier than your average American or European children.

Now, as a Muslim I realize the benefits of social contact on your overall emotional health and happiness.

If I am angry or stressed, going to the masjid, exchanging salams, shaking hands, and checking in with my neighbors, (not to mention the baraka of the salah itself) always leaves me in a better mood, with more patience for whatever difficulty I am facing.

There is no question, although I am not as rich as I was as a kaffir, that my life is better as a Muslim. And yet, when you hear the media talking about muhajirin, you never hear phrases like "European Muslims are migrating to Syria in search of a better life."

If you think about this, you realize how materialistic the prevailing media narratives are. The promotion of materialism is an agenda in itself, and it is an agenda that directly supports the war efforts of the kuffar; will to fight is directly related to the perception of the superiority of our way of life (deen). This is why the kuffar are so aggressive in bombing anyone who establishes sharia; they can't even allow for their to be a single example of Islam in action, because its superiority would be manifest in the eyes of everyone.

Even in the few brief instances where sharia is implemented, their media goes into overdrive misrepresenting and distorting the reality, and consistently pushing a materialistic worldview.

One of the most influential Bible verses for me is the saying that "You will know a tree by its fruit."

Ahlul Kitabayn General fka Trini General

Allah, The Unmoved Mover

>And it will not be possible to be and not to be the same thing, except in virtue of an ambiguity, just as if one whom we call ‘man’, others were to call ‘not-man’; but the point in question is not this, whether the same thing can at the same time be and not be a man in name, but whether it can in fact. – Aristotle, Metaphysics

>Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent; has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

>1 Samuel 15:29 “And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind.”

>Job 9:32 “For He is not a man as I am that I may answer Him, that we may go to court together.”

The concept of trinity disagrees with both the scripture of the Hebrews and the logic of the Greeks – the two very things Hellenist Jews wanted so desperately to combine when they contrived Christianity.

The laws of the excluded middle and contradiction do not undermine monotheism, they demand it. They undermine the trinity which is rank paganism. Logic can be seen as negative theology (what God isn’t) while revelation is positive theology (what God is). Monotheism can only be undermined when the imperfect reasoning abilities of men are placed above revelation – which is exactly what the trinity doctrine does.

Divinity can be seen as “irrational” in the sense that the human mind alone cannot be expected to properly quantify it, hence the need for revelation from above. If we accept the premise of unrevealed divinity and its “irrationality” then monotheism is less irrational a priori than polytheism. In this same manner Unitarianism is less irrational than Trinitarianism. Then if we accept the premise of revealed divinity along with the veracity of Abrahamic scripture we find that monotheism is more veracious a posteriori than polytheism; similarly Unitarianism is more veracious than Trinitarianism. Trinity is subrational whereas Tawhid is (supra)rational; Trinity is extra-scriptural whereas Tawhid is scriptural.

God is fully Beyond-Being because God is not limited in anyway like/by/or part of God’s creation. An understanding of God based on observing the createdness of being (God’s creation) would be by necessity induced rationally, however the Trinity is irrational. An understanding of God based on revealed scripture would be deduced from beyond being, yet Trinity theory is not revealed in scripture. While most though not all Christians accept the trinity theory axiomatically as a compelling paradox it is wholly artificial in the sense that neither scripture nor rationality can account for it; it is an equivocation. Catholics claim to be against continual revelation yet they endorse “internal locution” and believe the “holy spirit” has helped them do everything from write their own Bible to carry out the Second Vatican Council. They’ve signed the front and back of a theological blank check.

Trinitarian Christianity holds that the Godhead is the ideal form of and over the “Three Persons” that share the same essence. This theory opens the door for “all potentialities” which is how it is disproved by the Third Man Argument. We can observe the infinite regress of divine powers in the Catholic Church in ways such as Mary being called “The Mother of God”, calling Anne “The Grandmother of God”, the Immaculate Conception not only of Jesus but of Mary along with her perpetual virginity, the neverending litany of new Saints, doctrinal infalibility. Protestants do not deny Jesus is God, nor do they deny that Mary was the mother of Jesus yet they deny she is Mother of God. So Catholics can be said to operate logically from an illogical premise whereas Protestants operate illogically from the same illogical premise.

Visiting place of worship of other religions?

Last December, my Sikh friends father died suddenly of heart attack, my friend doesn't have many close friends of his own, so I decided to go with him to his temple for support.

I didn't bow, raise my hands, or participate in any of their prayers, all I did was sat there, I was pretty strict about not participating in any of it that would amount to shirk, and I made sure to tell my friend so that he would understand, and he was understanding of it.

I watched the recent MuslimSkeptic video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIySWut5uhk&ab_channel=TheMuslimSkeptic) where he basically points out how Omar Suleiman shouldn't have been there during the protests where they were doing non Islamic rituals. I know his context of being there was very different than mines, but I don't think that matters.

So looking back at it now idk if what I did was right, and for next time if I should avoid it. Was it wrong of me to go?

Christianity in Quran

Assalamu Alaikum my brothers and Ramadan Mubarak.

I was arguing with a christian acquaintance of mine about the trinity and found myself at an end point because of lack of knowledge about Islam AND christianity, hope you can help me.

<<The difficulty comes from the fact that the trinity as mentioned and described in the Quran is completely different from what us christians believe. In fact, Quran talks about Allah, Eesa and Maryam (5.116) but never did christians say that! I think there is a huge misunderstanding of the christian doctrine

For christians, the st trinity is a great mystery but it's not hard at all to prove that it's neither absurd nor contradictary

The problem that you(me) mentioned about paternity(Father/ Son of God) can be found here as well. The Quran attributes to the christians a doctrine that they never believed in: a physical fleshly conception (112.3), which is of course impossible for God.>>

Thank you

Spiritual Crisis

I used to find myself to be at the very least a decent Muslim. I would pray 5 times a day, read the Qur'an every night in both Arabic and English, go to Friday prayers, attend Islamic youth studies, avoid major sins like Zina, eating Haram/non-zabiha meat, etc. The only major sins I knowingly committed were my addiction to masturbation and pornography, which I used as an excuse to contain myself from fornication.

I always prayed to Allah swt that I wanted to become a better Muslim and strengthen my imam, and I've taken steps into taking that path, especially recently. But I feel like my connection is getting weaker, and I'm scared because I don't wish to displease Allah swt. My passion in Islam has massively deteriorated in the past week and I've been suffering quite badly with a lot of inner turmoil, confusion and doubt.

I recently given up masturbation and pornography, something I wanted to do but subconsciously wanted to hold onto. It was my vice so getting off of them was hard and I'm not sure how I long I can maintain. I've only been at it for a week (I did nofap during one Ramadan for 11 days, but I felt that it actually pushed me to borderline commit zina). That has led me to extreme boredom and even mild depression.

What truly made matters worse was my discovery that drawing, something that I very much enjoy and am passionate about, is not only haram but a grave major sin. Listening to music, another thing I enjoy (although I prefer video game OSTs over mainstream music) is also Haram. At first, I thought these were just opinions from those super orthodx Muslim imams, but my own extensive research made me come to the conclusion that they're indeed right. I very much wanted to believe my own whims, but I was just denying the truth. I know Allah swt will always forgive me, but it absolutely destroyed my heart how many of the things that I love that I wasn't even aware were bad things are big sins.

I've been really depressed recently. I can't go back to those things anymore. I can't find a qt 3.14 wife who's pious but has a sexual appetite to fully satisfy my needs. I wanted to get closer to Allah swt, but I feel like it had the opposite effect.

I need help.

Islam is not liberalism.

Actual Islam is not liberalism. Actual Islam is not about one's self-absorption as is the case for Current Year Buddhism.

This needs to be stressed in light of too many Westernized/Western/Degenerate Muslims turning Islam into a toothless "religion" that's more about worshiping men, enabling degeneracy. Islam recognizes that men should live as they should. Not as they "whim." Men can live as Allah decrees or suffer the consequences (as reflected by the opposition to homosexuality prior to Western influence).

Westernized Islam is functionally atheist. It puts men's whims ahead of Allah. Has to compromise itself so that the Great Satan's troopers don't bomb it or send protestors after it. It's public face is "racialized" (see the Nation of Islam) and how its more about Brown Ppl yelling about 🤬 Whitey than obeying the hadiths.

The following are a sign you're a liberal ahead of a Muslim:

>complaining about "policing morality"

>Advocating for democracy and/or claiming that the Quran or hadiths advocate for such

>Advocating for integration in society rather than demanding more maintained segregation

Explain to me why Sharia Law is compatiable with God's law

Hi friends, I'm somewhat new to Islam and I have a question.

I consider everything in this world to be created by God.

And as such it follows that my free will and freedom of action have also been created by God.

We then come to the "problem" of Sharia law, in which are the laws of the Qur'an as they are interpreted by scholars.

Combined with something else that's often found in the Qur'an; "this life is but a test"

I personally believe that Western society is more fitting to test a person, and closer to God's ideal than a society governed by Sharia law because it allows a person more freedom, something that God himself has given us.

I consider a test in which you're not constantly told what to do to be more fitting for his plan than a test in which you're constantly led by the hand of a government, to follow laws and obligations you yourself would not follow if this government would cease to exist.

But of course, modern western society values hedonistic practices above all, and can therefore not be a good teacher. The best solution therefore would be a government that combines the best of both worlds.

>the freedom of the west

>the education of Sharia

People should be taught what life is all about. Taught religion early on in school, and be truly prepared to become an adult.

Once they are an adult they should be free to do whatever they wish with the knowledge bestowed upon them, and if they keep it it would obviously be better for them, and even more so as it would be a result of their own actions.

I've been rambling it seems, and I've might been able to do a better job at writing this all down, sadly the thoughts in my head do not line up completely which is probably due to my lack of knowledge about Islam.

I look forward to reading your replies!

why some people deserve hell for nothing , for simply refusing to believe in allah ??

why would an infinite being punish people for disagreeing with him??

is that even rational ??

i am afraid of hell to be honest, i see no one deserving it, even hitler.

Western propaganda even in National Geographic.

A National Geographic article in the March 2020 issue about the Nigerian girls who returned after being captured by Boko Haram and are now studying at the American University of Nigeria. It implies that women abandoning education to get married is bad, and studying in foreign, European universities is good, as is gaining proficiency in English, and the girls who unable to do this and go to Europe are implied to be unlucky.

It also shows how these girls are breaking off from an ancient, maybe centuries old tradition of marrying early just to get an education, and how this is encouraged by their Christian pastor.

Mentally and prayer

I'm a new white Muslim working in Saudi. Converted before I came here. Sometimes when I pray, all I can think about is sex, fighting, problems at work, or something else. In a way, I think this is good, kinda like when you treat a wound and all the bad stuff (pus, dead skin) comes out. Is this normal? What do you guys recommend? What do you guys think about when you pray? Does it come natural or is it a conscious effort? Do you have anything else you can say/teach to me?

Purpose of this server(from his about page):

>The main goal in making this server is to create a long lasting community for people to 🤬post together, share interesting things, gain knowledge and make/hang out with friends online. It is directed primarily at a Muslim populus but it is open to all, even if you are non-muslim. I have also made it a goal to make this server an open server where mods and admin's dont abuse their power and members have a say in the direction it goes (considering they will be the ones reaping the benefits of this server). Some may question why i put so much work into this, i have done so because i want this server to last long (I also have a habit of overdoing things, lol). Islamic Clothing and Sunnah

Theres a lot of variation when it comes to "Islamic Clothing", makes me wonder how many of them are sunnah, and what would consider them sunnah. Like its said our Prophet (SAW) used to where a Qamees, where its descriptions matches more today with what we call the Thobe or Jubbah, a long shirt that goes until the ankles.

When we look at other cultures, like in Asia, they've clearly have had influence from the Islamic Empires at the time (in Central Asia who started the Mughal Empire), with the Kurta or Punjabi and is often attributed as Islamic clothing in their cultures, but the description deviates a lot from what is Sunnah, it doesn't go until the ankles anymore, it goes to somewhere about above or below the knee, has side slits, and has often more extravagant designs. Can these still be considered Sunnah and Islamic clothing?

Like even with Islamic cap theres a lot of variations, can we eventually say its Sunnah even if you just wear a baseball hat.

Also kinda off topic question, when the

Muslims fought in battles in those times, did they still wear the Qamees, because it seems like it would restrict running?

On the sword

I have already expressed this opinion twice on forums without bringing this opinion forth to those who might be authorized to reason on it.

I believe in the compatibility of the Abrahamic religions. This for various reasons, not wholly developed yet. It is stated, however that this board "is not for the comparison of the various world's religions", so I hope either I can be pointed to the appropriate board or the question is not too bold.

But in particular, the opinion that I have so stated, is that, if the Satanists accuse us Christians of hypocrisy for raising up the sword, we should say "perhaps we can't raise up the sword, except in self defense, but the Muslims can".

Does this opinion seem at all reasonable to the people of this forum?

A plague that will afflict you (and kill you in great numbers) as the plague that afflicts sheep

>I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) during the Ghazwa of Tabuk while he was sitting in a leather tent. He said, "Count six signs that indicate the approach of the Hour: my death :

<[1] the conquest of Jerusalem

>[2] a plague that will afflict you (and kill you in great numbers) as the plague that afflicts sheep

<[3] the increase of wealth to such an extent that even if one is given one hundred Dinars, he will not be satisfied

>4] then an affliction which no Arab house will escape

<[5] and then a truce between you and Bani Al-Asfar (i.e. the Byzantines)

<[6] who will betray you and attack you under eighty flags. Under each flag will be twelve thousand soldiers.

So, is the coronavirus the plague that will kill people like sheep?

And is the "affliction which no Arab house will escape another" plague bio-engineered to wipe out the Arabs?

How can we avoid images?

There are numerous ahadith in which the Prophet (saws) prohibited images of living creatures and said that the one who makes such images will be punished in the most severe manner.

However in this world we live in, images are all around us; we see images almost everywhere we look and they're almost unavoidable. We are even posting on an imageboard.

Even in my own household, I wasn't even previously aware of just how many things have images on them. Bowls, cups, plates, book covers, product packaging, clothes, greeting cards, furniture, toys… and many, many more things.

I'm very torn and worried about this problem, since there doesn't seem to be an easy solution or an easy way to get rid of all these things. I don't want Allah ta'aala to punish us for falling short of what the Messenger (saws) ordered us to do… I hope He will forgive us.

Al-Albani (1/2)

AL-ALBANI [A Concise Guide to the Chief Innovator of Our Time]

>by Dr. G. F. Haddad

Nasir al-Albani is the arch-innovator of the Wahhabis and "Salafis" in our time. A watch repairman by trade, al-Albani is a self-taught claimant to hadith scholarship who has no known teacher in any of the Islamic sciences and has admitted not to have memorized the Book of Allah nor any book of hadith, fiqh, `aqîda, usûl, or grammar. He achieved fame by attacking the great scholars of Ahl al-Sunna and reviling the science of fiqh with especial malice towards the school of his father who was a Hanafi jurist.

A rabid reviler of the Friends of Allah and the Sufis, he was expelled from Syria then Saudi Arabia and lived in Amman, Jordan under house arrest until his death in 1999. He remains the qibla of the people of Innovation, self-styled re-formers of Islam, and other "Salafi" and Wahhabi sympathizers, and the preferred author of book merchants and many uneducated Muslims.

>Among Albani's innovations in the Religion:

1- In his book Adab al-Zafaf he prohibits women from wearing gold jewelry - rings, bracelets, and chains - despite the Consensus of the Ulema permitting it.

2- He claims that 2.5% zakât is not due on money obtained from commerce, i.e. the main activity whereby money circulates among Muslims.

3- He absolutely prohibits fasting on Saturdays.

4- He prohibits retreat (i`tikaf) in any but the Three Mosques.

5- He claims that it is lawful to eat in Ramadan before Maghrib as defined by the Law, and similarly after the true dawn.

6- He compares Hanafi fiqh to the Gospel. [1]

7- He calls people to imitate him rather than the Imams of the Salaf such as the founders of the Four Schools, and his followers invalidate the hadiths that contradict his views.

8- He prohibits the make-up performance of prayers missed intentionally.

9- He claims that it is permissible for menstruating women and those in a state of major defilement (junub) to recite, touch, and carry the Qur'an.

10- He claims over and over that among the innovations in religion existent in Madina is the persistence of the Prophet's - Allah bless and greet him - grave in the mosque.

11- He claims that whoever travels intending to visit the Prophet - Allah bless and greet him - or to ask him for his intercession is a misguided innovator.

12- He claims that whoever carries dhikr-beads in his hand to remember Allah Most High is misguided and innovating.

13- He invented a location to Allah Most High above the Throne which he named al-makân al-`adamî - "the non-existent place."

14- He claims in Tamam al-Minna that masturbation does not annul one's fast.

15- He published "corrected" editions of the two Sahihs of al-Bukhari and Muslim, which he deceitfully called "Abridgments" (mukhtasar) in violation of the integrity of these motherbooks.

Is it bi'dah or not?

On the authority of A’isha (radiyaAllahu ‘anha) who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“He who innovates something in this matter of ours [i.e. Islam] that is not of it will have it rejected [by Allah]”.

Reported by Bukhari and Muslim

In one narration by Muslim, it reads: “He who does an act which we have not commanded will have it rejected (by Allah)”.

"…The truest of word is the Book of Allah and best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of things are those that are newly invented; every newly-invented thing is an innovation and every innovation is going astray, and every going astray is in the Fire…"

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1578

"…Verily he among you who lives (long) will see great controversy, so you must keep to my sunnah and to the sunnah of the rightly-guided Rashidite Caliphs - cling to them stubbornly. Beware of newly invented matters, for every invented matter is an innovation and every innovation is a going astray and every going astray is in Hell-fire."

if it makes no sense for there to be no god because everything that exists has to be created doesn't that mean god needs to be created? but who created god

if god created himself that means it's not true that something needs to be created by something else to exist. so the world can created itself or it can have always existed

Mosque in Ohio welcome the masses!

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – On Sunday, mosques across Ohio held open houses for the public.

The event encourages strong relations within the respective communities and invites the public to learn about Islamic history.

Two mosques participated here in the Miami Valley. We talked to a member of the Dayton Mercy Society in Miamisburg. They say they’re hoping to see more new faces as they continue to participate each year.

Luby Abdurrahman says, “We haven’t a had a big crowd because this is our first time participating in this day. We’re hoping that as it becomes more publicized, we may have more people. But I think it’s a reflection of the fact that many of our neighbors have already been here.”

This was the second year for the statewide event.

With Fiat Currency (Fake Money) There is No Riba

According to the four sunni madahab it is halal to take interest on fiat currencies. These currencies are intentionally devalued by governments every year so in many cases it is required to be paid interest just to break even or lose less value. Holding fiat currency and refusing to take interest on it is the same as paying a tax/fee to the government for the privilege of holding their fiat currency which is stupid and shameful.

There is no basis in Islamic scholarship for calling this kind of interest as riba and too many muslims are ignorant about this matter or use it as a justification to stay poor.

And yes personally I would like to return to Gold standard and then yes interest with a gold backed currency is riba and clearly haram.

I think it all comes down to your faith if you believe strongly that a rock or a wall will slove your problems then it will (subconscious belief), i myself have solved many problems by using my subconscious powers, and i think that there exists some higher power and its up to you what you name it.

I think that all religions were made by men to control men.

I spent some time browsing this subreddit pretty intently yesterday afternoon and again this morning. Some observations:

1.) They're as far as I saw 100% atheist, I didn't see any theistic "ex-moose" as they call one another. I did see them mocking those kinds though, suggesting that they have a fringe existence. It's possible that these are just people "brought low" since the issue is simply iman, not adopting a new creed.

2.) Some are proud murtadeen, others are munafiqeen that are still pretending to be muslim to their families and communities. One even claimed to pray 2 rakats of tarawih then go to the pub and come back for witr.

3.) Pity party. One of their mods was asking r/atheism for "support" during ramadan.

>Having to wake up early in the morning before sunset (3-4 am) to eat before dawn leading to a significant disruption of the circadian rhythm

>The fast itself can lead to dehydration in the hot summer weather and involves hypoglycaemia,

>The evening breaking of fast (iftar) is normally a large meal, lavish if affordable and plays havoc with the digestive system

>The extra prayers at late night (Taraweeh) are extremely long (1-1.5 hours) and involve prolonged periods of standing. This time of the year these would be held at around 10pm leaving only 4-5 hours to sleep until the cycle repeats itself for the next fast.

4.) Weird hangers-on. Roughly 30% of the commentariat were "never moose", these are kuffar asliyin atheists that are fascinated with murtadeen. They trash christianity and the other 70% trash Islam, they swap stories etc.

5.) They're still attached to Islam and their ethnic groups, albeit in antisocial and unhealthy ways. Yes, a few active users have come back to Islam, hopefully more just stop logging in and return silently. R/exmuslim dwarfs r/exchristian, it is the largest "ex" subreddit. These people want their own atheist ummah. Of interest: there is literally no one active at r/exjudaism. If Islam came with a passport and cash there would probably be no active users at exmuslim either - keep that in mind.

6.) A murtad from Sunni Islam is of course the crown jewel for shaytan. I'll say slightly over half of r/exmuslim was raised Sunni. There is disproportionately outsized representation of those raised Ahmadi and Shia.

7.) Reasons for disbelieving: emotional, not rational. They like rap music and dislike being called terrorist. They like to swear and get drunk (both common discussion points) and dislike having to stand while they pray and fast. They support modern liberalism and dislike the Prophet saws for not being liberal enough. They like gays and having gay sex, they dislike rules about sex only within marriage and only with the opposite gender. One person said "Islam forbids adoption." even though that is a twisted falsehood. They are SJW on every possible issue except Islam where they go full /pol/tier - ie, they have absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

One of their head honchos is particularly jealous for Zayd ra and his marriage to Zaynab (raa). He thinks Zayd got the short end of the stick when the Prophet married Zaynab. The fact is The Prophet arranged their marriage and we don't know why they divorced after a year - the story of the doorway is spurious. Allah used their marriage and divorce to teach the community about obeying Allah, ignoring class background (Zaynab wealthy, Zayd humble), and then that adoptive fathers can marry their adopted son's exs. Zayd enjoyed six wives during his life, many were arranged on his behalf by the Prophet and he bore the Prophet no ill will, the concept never even crossed his mind, and died as a shaheed mujahid. But some foulmouthed snarky clown on reddit is pretending to be offended on his behalf, give me a break, Zayd would have literally killed him.

8.) They like to eat bacon and ham sandwiches, now that they embrace apostasy they like to take pictures of their bacon sandwiches and share them with eachother.

Arranged Marriage update

Salam aleikum,

I posted some time ago in this thread: https://8ch.net/islam/res/36992.html and wanted to give an update. I decided to give the marriage a try given some of the advice and so far it is working, but I would be lying if the fact I had to do it and it was basically forced on me wasn't a hang up. I even went to an imam and told me frankly about my situation and he said it is better to try a marriage even if it is forced than to just hastily divorce, not sure if that is good islamic advice or not. Maybe I am coming off as whiny but I am being honest about my feelings. So things are still very difficult.

So they aren't muslim. Because it's heresy, and that's not muslim. Or am I wrong?

O Allah, if my sins become abundant

Then indeed I know Your Forgiveness is greater than my sins

And I supplicated in humility

And if You turn my hands away

Then who will be merciful to me?

If the only people that can have hope in You are the good doers

Then who would the criminal, the sinner, and the evil turn to?

The only way I have to come to You is my hope in You

And Your beautiful forgiveness is that I am a Muslim.

I think God hates me because of how much I sin.

Okay anons, I really need your advice here. I constantly fell dreadful and feel like God is really mad at me for a few reasons. The fist reason is that I've been masturbating 3-5 a day for the past 6 years. Every time I masturbate, something really bad always happens. The issue is that I can't stop because it feels like an addiction and even if I could, I've developed an issue where I wind up sleep humping the bed until I cum without realizing. The second reasons is that there are a lot of sexual thoughts on my mind when I pray but I can't control what I think. The final reason why is because I'm too lazy to pray, and even when I do, I don't feel anything. However, I haven't been able to feel anything for the past 3 years so I don't think it's due to a lack of faith. Regardless, please help me anons. Not only do I want God to stop being mad at me, but I want to have a good relationship with him. But how do I stop masturbating and start praying again?

Converting to Islam

Salam aleikum.

I'm a guy in my mid-20's who have been suffering from depression and anxiety for a long time. It got so bad that it cost me my friendships, my family and nearly my life. The dark clouds have started to part and I feel like I'm ready to finally move on with my life, but I have to pretty much start from scratch and it's proving really difficult. I'm struggling to find any meaning at all and it feels hopeless trying to connect with people because everyone in my age have started settling down or have firmly stablished groups of friends already. I've been looking towards philosophy and religion trying to get new perspectives and trying to find a path forward - and Islam really caught my eye as something that could be worth pursuing. I feel like it's wrong on some level though since it's for such selfish reasons as wanting to get myself together.

Do you have any advice for me or how I should proceed? Is it okay for me to convert? If I do, what can I expect? If I end up converting I'm planning on immersing myself completely as there's nothing of value in my life as it is right now. I apologize for my poor writing skills and english by the way, I know they're crap.

Thank you.

A Muslim Tale, Expanded

According to Nu'man bin Bashir, Muhammad told this story:

"The example of the person abiding by God's order and restrictions in comparison to those who violate them is like the example of those persons who drew lots for their seats in a boat. Some of them got seats in the upper part, and the others in the lower. When the latter needed water, they had to go up to bring water (and that troubled the upper deck passengers), so they said, 'Let us make a hole in our share of the ship (and get water) so that we do not trouble the upper deck passengers.' If the people in the upper part left the lower deck passengers to do what they had suggested; then all the people of the ship would be destroyed, but if they had prevented them, then both parties would be safe."

I would like to expand on this story and bring it up to date. I will assume a large modern boat with lifeboats, as is standard now. And I will assume that it is in a large lake. To make the story realistic, assume that something went wrong with the plumbing on the lower decks so that fresh water isn't available there.

My guess is that when Muhammad told this story, he imagined all Muslim passengers. In this case, his story makes perfect sense. But what if there are passengers of other religion? As long as these other religions are reasonable, the story still makes sense. But what if some passengers are from unreasonable religions/cultures so that they cannot be reasoned with?

The obvious example is modern culture. Superficially, members of modern culture seem reasonable. But discuss anything of substance and you will discover otherwise. In this story, some members of modern culture on the lower decks began drilling holes in the boat to get water. They considered this to be a progressive innovation. They considered the fact that only those in the upper deck had easy access to water to be a form of discrimination against those in the lower decks, so drilling holes in the boat is a moral good to eliminate discrimination. Sensible people argued with them saying that it is a well known fact that making holes in boats is bad. The modern people responded that this old folk tale is just outdated morality that no longer applies. Sensible people replied that there is abundant historical evidence that boats with holes sink. Modern people responded that many of these stories are nothing but myths and the historical evidence for the rest is weak. And in any case, these old boats were different from modern boats, so the historical evidence doesn't apply. Sensible people tried to argue based on physics saying that if the ship filled with water then its average weight would be greater than water's, so it would sink. Modern people responded that modern boats are equipped with systems that pump out excess water so this would never happen. In effect, modern boats can never sink, so there is nothing to worry about. Then the more sensible people remembered the Titanic and stopped arguing, realizing that there is no way to talk sense into a member of modern culture.

So now what? If those who want to drill holes are a small minority, then the solution is simple. Put them on lifeboats and get rid of them. Then if they drill holes in the lifeboat, they only drown themselves. But what if those who want to drill holes are the majority? In this case, there is no way to prevent the boat from sinking, so sensible people will get in lifeboats themselves, and leave the sinking ship.

To tie this story back to reality, America and the rest of Western culture is a sinking ship, and sane religious communities are lifeboats on this ship. I currently know of three types of lifeboats - mosques, orthodox synagogues, and traditional Anabaptist churches. Now back to the story.

When this boat started its voyage, it had onboard some Muslims, Jews, and Mennonites (Anabaptists). The Mennonites were the first to leave. They left even before people started drilling holes. They recognized that when the plumbing problems started, the people reacted unreasonably. The Mennonites are quick to detect evil and they want no part of it. So they politely asked for exactly the number of lifeboats that they needed and they left the ship. The Mennonites are practical and hardworking, so they soon became expert fishermen and occasionally they returned to the ship to trade fish for other goods. But they had no idea what was really happening on the ship.

Tips, advice

I've posted here on and off but I feel my exploration of Islam always comes to a halt. I'm a Catholic who has and is interested in learning about Islam but it just isn't "clicking" for me. I've read the first nine Surahs of the Qu'ran but my experience hasn't invoked any strong emotions or thoughts (I'm reading it in English). On top of that, it's very difficult for me to reconcile the Islamic view of things compared to Judeo-Christian sources/interpretations (Jesus not dying on the cross, role of the Messiah, etc.) and I haven't found compelling reason to assume trust in the Qu'ran over thousands of years of previous development. And (as I'm sure you are all aware) there are various Hadiths out there that narrate very peculiar and disturbing things that Muhammad did. Not all of these Hadiths are authentic but the shear number of said Hadiths is difficult to navigate and understand. What I'm hoping to get from the creation of this thread is tips, advice, testimony on how I should go about in my studies with my current view and where to go next. I wish you all the best.

the moon and the sun, and the earth (the rotation of the day, from night to day) the time is synchronised, i.e. the number of complete turns of the moon, 254 lunar sidereal months equals 19 years.

> over 19 years, 209 days are added =19 x 11

to the calendar of the lunar, calendar, to synchronise the time between the sun and the moon calendar.

> islamic way

they let the calendar, synchronise over 33 years, lagging 11 days behind, every year.

> opposed to the jewish, 19 year metonic cycle

take the 354'th mention of the word day, the total gematria up to that point is 22103

> take ratio of 22781/ 22103 = 1.0306

that is the exact same ratio of the, lunar year, and solar year

> Quran says a year is based on 12 months

365.2425 (geogian year)/ 12 x 29.5306 days (lunar month) = 1.0306

> Chapter 103 The Time (maybe referring to 1.03 ratio with 309 years / 300 years = 18:25

309 lunar = 300 solar approximately)

ASR gematria = 360 arabic

22781 = 19 x 1199

1199 = 74:50 scared like donkeys

>i.e. people when they get this, they usually deny the sign, and ignore it saying it have nothing to do with it.

The 3 shadows, the three celestial bodies, synchronise in time after 19 years or 6939 days

Over it are 19: the number of angels gaurding hell fire.

Time in the jewish, reavealed by God to the Babylons, they adopted time, by each measure of 3, i.e. 3.33 seconds is 1 helek, their time. Their minute is 18 helek = 60 seconds

333'th mention of the word day (yawm)

Total gv count of 333'th mention of the word day = 19 x 1098

> the only verse in the Quran with 1098 value

40:54 A guide and a reminder for those of understanding.

3:190 in the alternation of night and day there are signs for men of knowledge

1098 helek = 18 x 61

1098 helek = 61 minutes, symbolising time

22781 - 22103 = 678

Only verse in the Quran with 678 gv value

56:78 In a protected book

Notice the 56 (yawm) and mapping of 678 onto 5_ 6:78

The three shadows

77:30 Three shadows of columns

Might refer to the time at which the jews and the christians (74:31 ) as excepted would deny this, or even not deny it, they will be gathered to the fire, of three shadows. Reminded of the sign of which they used to deny, when they see 19 angels above the 3 shadows.

1:1 to 77:30

6939 words

because time

6939 days = 19 years

Does Alevism count as a part of Islam? Or does it have too many differences?

And what do you think about it?

what your ideal Islamic state

Government> constitutional monarchy primogeniture inheritance. the monarch is head of the armed forces and has the power to propose laws to Parliament and to appoint and depose prime ministers. parliament is made of two houses one the lower based on geographical location the other made of trade guilds and workers unions. the Parliament will approve the collection of taxes and confirm noble titles granted by the king.

legal> the sharia is dived into two parts the first, called core sharia, consisting of direct legal pronouncements and those that have punishments and the moral sharia. ie someone can be stoned for zina but the government wont force u to wear hijab making it a marker of individual piety. this will be enshrined in the Constitution and no parliament make illegal what is in the core sharia but they can modify it(ie using stone bullets rather than actually stones, closed to the public and selected execution squads)

Military> mandatory conscription and military ethos drilled into the whole population. the country will be divided into sectors based on population and distance with a military centre based. here six days a month the men of the sector must gather and practice military stuff. women must train 3 times a month.

Education> based on the apprentice system but military training(think GUP)

thoughts criticisms welcome

Stance on other Religions: Tolerance or Conversion?

Hello! Let me begin by saying I am not of Islamic faith.

I was curious about your board and after reading through several threads I determined this community to be fairly open and welcoming. So I thought I would try and start a discussion that interests me.

I'd like to disclose some of my background in case anyone wants to know! I was not raised in a very religious family. On the rare occasions we went to Church, it was Christian. As an adolescent I would have identified as an Agnostic/Atheist. The myriad of faiths that existed made me question how one faith could be correct and all the rest wrong.

However, I was quite infatuated with religious literature. I started with the most prominent and moved on from there. This means that, yes, I have read an English version of the Quran! What I eventually found that suited me, however, was an eastern religion called Tao. It reflected beliefs I already had, so it was appealing.

BUT, I am not here to promote other faiths on your board. That would be extremely rude. So now I will get right down to the matter I want to discuss.

When someone of another faith discovers I am not of their flock, usually Christians, they sometimes try very hard to convert me. If it's just an invitation to join them at their Church I see it as friendly and non-offensive. When they flat-out tell me I'm a bad person and going to Hell, then I become irritated. For example, in Tao, the masters teach that we should not seek to spread our belief or convert people. If someone is meant to know Tao, they will find it their-self. We are taught to tolerate and be friendly/accepting to people of other faith.

From what I've personally read in the Quran, there are verses that promote both conversion and tolerance. So I wanted to pose the question to the flesh and blood of today and get your personal views.

Do you believe it is a religious or moral duty to convert those of other faiths or non-believers? Do you condone acceptance or even promote friendships with such people as long as they respect your own Faith?

Can ex-gays revert?

What does someone do if they've engaged in homosexual acts in the past but regret it and wish to convert?

I read somewhere that the temporal punishment or hadd is unnecessary if someone committed the act before reversion to the religion, but wanted to check here where people have more conservative/strict leanings. I've never committed full sodomy (not sure what the proper muslim terminology is for it) but what would happen to someone who has but wishes to repent/convert.

I also have a friend who's in a similar situation. Its less of a problem for me and more of a problem for them as I'm attracted to women and want a wife but my friend is still currently engaged in homosexual acts / is a trap, yet they also feel drawn to religion and don't know what do about it (specifically Islam too). He's into ideas of the radical traditionalists, like Rene Guenon and whatnot. Any advice for him and what he should do? Thanks.

Some questions

This is a real question.

I'm new to Islam and wanted to ask some questions, if that is ok. I like you world views, but what do you think about other religions? Do you hate them? Or do you just ignore them. And what about islamic terrorism. Do you also hate it, or do you even like it? And if groups like ISIS aren't muslim, what are they. Do they do it for politcal reasons? Or is it the US?

If I break the rules with this Thread, please delete it, because I don't want to disrespect you.

Sorry for the bad english.

Sunnah diet general

Salamu alaykum /islam/

There is a major problem that is gripping our ummah at this time. That is obesity. This is really shameful.

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «يأكل المسلم في معى واحد، والكافر يأكل في سبعة أمعاء»

Abu Hurairah narrated that Allah’s Messenger said, “A Muslim eats in one intestine while a Kafir eats in seven intestines."

Miqdam bin Madikarib said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine straight. But if he must (fill it), then one third of food, one third for drink and one third for air.’”

Being a Muslim in the West

Hello, everyone. I'm an American who has been studying abroad these past few months, and recently I decided to convert to Islam. While I am excited to be starting down a serious and clean path to God, I cannot help but be concerned about what I'll have to deal with upon returning to my country. Although I don't plan to go around in a taqiyah and beard, the sensationalist media makes it seem like if you're a Muslim in the West, you're either going to get assaulted on the street or shot at the mosque, so I'd like to hear about the experiences of other western Muslims. Rationally I know that I don't need to fear for my life, but I can't help but worry that I'm going to find myself getting a lot better at fighting in the future.

Salam everyone, I wanted to ask if anyone knows good websites for islamic charity and zakat? The recent disasters that befell our Indonesian brothers and sisters made me want to help them. They had several deadly and destructive earthquake/tsunamis this year. Our responsibility as muslims is to help them as fast as possible since there is search and rescue teams looking for trapped victims. I know the website https://secure.irusa.org/ of islamic relief USA, but I'm wondering if there are other trusted websites some of you brothers use.

Surah Al-Munafiqun [63:10]

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous."

Potential Marriage spouse

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Dear brothers and sisters.

I am on purematrimony.com the only matrimonial site which does not show pictures by default and where there is a team to monitor messages as well as the option for wali to be present in the chat.

I live in the Netherlands and found a girl in India that had a great description:

>She only been practicing 1.5 years but she states to strive with improving herself and her deen.

> She states to have decided to take the steps to prevent degeneracy to enter the soul. She does not watch tv or music and is not fond of make up.

>She states loving to read quran and gain knowledge in her free time.

>She has a university bachelors but is willing to give it up her career and study Islamic Studies.

>Also states not to expect a lavish lifestyle but a home to live peacefully

>She is realistic and realises that sacrifices and patience are needed as she states "that are going to be times when things go rough in the relationship but with the help of Allah swt we shall both glue the cracks.

So I am very pleased initially by these descriptions.

Topic of Bayah

>One who withdraws his band from obedience (to the Amir) will find no argument (in his defence) when he stands before Allah on the Day of Judgment, and one who dies without having bound himself by an oath of allegiance (to an Amir) will die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahillyya.

What did Muhammad mean by this? There is no 1 khalifah so I can't give bayah. What do I do?

Chess & Islam

Are chess and islam compatible? It takes a ton of practice and dedication to get good, is that idolatry? I have muslim friends who will not play me because the pieces include bishops and the king is often shown with a crucifix on his crown and other such silly reasons. I recently got back into the game and then read an article from 2016 and it made me wonder. Why is there tension? and why do europeans dominate this sport?

>When the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s grand mufti — Sheikh Abdelaziz Al-Sheikh — condemned chess recently as the “work of Satan” and a “waste of time and money,” it reignited a debate that has been part of the Islamic world for more than a millennium.

How do we fix this?

Salam, random questions

What does Islam say about the makeup and nature of God? Is he material? I think a material, eternal God structured out of eternal particles makes a lot of sense. I can imagine him existing in a substantial sense.

A God of 'spirit' or 'ether' seems empty and strange to me, how can he be said to exist if he lacks substantial physical form?

Also how does Islam explain God's interest in man, why would he intervene in earthly life or judge man? If the universe is a well tuned machine there shouldn't be any need to tinker with it or intervene.

What is there to judge and for what purpose, seems like man does what is in his nature to do, like how bees go about their business and so forth.

And lastly if religions/revelations were all originally "Islam", historically, why didn't God preserve them and guarantee their continuity, why did he repeatedly send new prophets to re-state and re-construct the religion?

And very lastly, is there room for reincarnation in Islam? Are there multiple levels of heaven or hell you can be "reborn" into and shift phases in, making progress, etc? Or are you stuck in 1 level post-mortem?

Jews, Uthman, Ali, and the fitnah

Came across this and it really piqued my interest,is it legit?:

… “ Among them was ‘Abdullah Ibn Saba’ [a Jew from Sanaa]” [Reported by al-Khallal, al-Lalika’i, and others].

Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) said, “The first to innovate Rafd was a heretical hypocrite named ‘Abdullah Ibn Saba’. He wanted to thereby corrupt the religion of the Muslims, as was done by Paul, the author of the epistles that are with the Christians, thus innovating heresies into their religion. He [Paul] was a Jew, but hypocritically displayed himself as following the Christian religion, intending to corrupt it. Likewise, Ibn Saba’ was a Jew who intended the same. He sought to cause fitnah in order to alter the millah, but he was unable to do so. However, dissension and fitnah did occur between the believers, during which ‘Uthman (radiyallahu ‘anh) was killed. Then there occurred of fitnah what occurred” [Majmu’ al-Fatawa]. He (rahimahullah) also said, “Ibn Saba’ displayed acts of worship. He then displayed the enjoinment of good and forbiddance of evil, until he endeavored to sow discord with the fitnah of ‘Uthman and killed him. Then, when he came to al-Kufah, he displayed extremism concerning ‘Ali and claimed that this was commanded in the texts in order to thereby achieve his goals” [Minhaj as-Sunnah].Ibn Saba’ and his companions – “entered” into Islam in order to destroy the foundations of the religion and nullify its laws, thinking that if they if were to lead the Muslims astray from the magnanimous Hanifiyyah (tawhid), Allah would give victory to the Jews – Bani Isra’il – against their enemies from the Arabs – Bani Isma’il – as well as other nations. And when their failed strategy weakened, they ignited the fire of fitnah between the Muslims until Dhun-Nurayn was killed, and after him the father of the two Hassans (radiyallahu ‘anhum).
