I've began converting to Islam recently and I wanted to ask some questions.

My life scheduled has be doing important work during some of the prayer times. What exactly do I do for prayers I'm not able to do?

I'm doing what I can to pray at the right times, but some I'm late to doing, mostly the morning one. What suggestions do y'all have for helping me pray at the right times?

Where can I get a prayer rug?

Do your best to uphold your duties. Islam recognize the purity of your intent. If you're genuinely to do things the way you are supposed to but something you can't help stops you, do your best, you can pray some prayers together for example (other anons, imams or websites might know better about the specifics of how and when to do it).

What really matters to Allah is what's in your heart, usually it's immediately reflected in your deeds, but when under external duress, he gave us more than a way to adapt.

Do your work environment allow you to take small breaks every now and then?

If so, then just request a break whenever you can to go perform salah. You could also keep the prayers short by only reciting the compulsory recitations.

Praying on time is encouraged, but you're allowed to delay it until before the next prayer time. Or if you can jama and qasr (pray together 2 prayers in one but shorten it) your prayer, this is common for travellers but there are "rules" for jama and qasr to be allowed, read it up brother/sister or straight up qada (repay the "debt" of the prayer on another day) this is quite normally done by women who's on their period.

Because instead of answering a question with a reasonable response, you chose instead to insult the questioner. You may have come here with the common attitude that says you can do whatever you want because "it's an image board" or "muh chan culture", but this board isn't like that. This is actually the very first non-LARP Muslim board ever created on any "chan" in the history of chans, so there's no cultural history to look at. People are expected to act like grown-ups on this board.

if it makes no sense for there to be no god because everything that exists has to be created doesn't that mean god needs to be created? but who created god

if god created himself that means it's not true that something needs to be created by something else to exist. so the world can created itself or it can have always existed

if you were born anywhere else you would have grown up believing their religion. including your own. at the end of the day the reason you believe in your religion is that's the one you were taught. doesn't it seem like a waste of time?

Leave tassafuw for now. Read the main text the Quran and then some book on the aqeedah or doctrine of the Sunni Orthodoxy. Once you've actually begun to believe in them and practice them. Then you turn to tassawuf.

Atleast that's how the sufis would do it. But if you want to be typical /pol/ then you can abandon the crux of Islam and go straight to the insane ramblings part.

https://www.wdtn.com/news/mosques-across-ohio-open-their-doors-to-the-community/

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – On Sunday, mosques across Ohio held open houses for the public.

The event encourages strong relations within the respective communities and invites the public to learn about Islamic history.

Two mosques participated here in the Miami Valley. We talked to a member of the Dayton Mercy Society in Miamisburg. They say they’re hoping to see more new faces as they continue to participate each year.

Luby Abdurrahman says, “We haven’t a had a big crowd because this is our first time participating in this day. We’re hoping that as it becomes more publicized, we may have more people. But I think it’s a reflection of the fact that many of our neighbors have already been here.”

This was the second year for the statewide event.

According to the four sunni madahab it is halal to take interest on fiat currencies. These currencies are intentionally devalued by governments every year so in many cases it is required to be paid interest just to break even or lose less value. Holding fiat currency and refusing to take interest on it is the same as paying a tax/fee to the government for the privilege of holding their fiat currency which is stupid and shameful.

There is no basis in Islamic scholarship for calling this kind of interest as riba and too many muslims are ignorant about this matter or use it as a justification to stay poor.

And yes personally I would like to return to Gold standard and then yes interest with a gold backed currency is riba and clearly haram.

The defeatists should fear Allah lest they distort this religion and cause it to become weak on the basis of the claim that it is a religion of peace. Yes, it is the religion of peace but in the sense of saving all of mankind from worshiping anything other than Allah and submitting all of mankind to the rule of Allah.

I don't think it's good thing to insult supposed Christians. Plus I've met enough brothers who hold such views not to be surprised; we have many people like them among us. They don't even hide or anything.
