https://reddit.com/r/islamicsub got banned earlier today unfortunately, but it's to be expected from a place like Reddit. Anyone know where everyone went? Maybe we could setup again on Voat or something?

Considering the kind of stuff that was allowed there, it comes as no shock and good riddance to it. Nobody here is from there. Seek validation elsewhere.

What? Why?

>What? Why?
Because it was a hive of LARPers pretending to be radical Muslims talking about killing Jews and laughing about Covid deaths. It misrepresented itself as the "true Muslim reddit" and mislead a lot of people.
>people came over when 8chan went down
Anyone from here who went over to reddit discussions went to r/islam, NOT to the LARPy cesspools like r/islamicsub

It's like if you took /pol/ + /islam/ and sprinkled in /isis/ and /furry/. Imagine a group of the edgiest 13 year old boys all having lunch together.

It was basically an anti-madkhali sub with chan memes. I mostly went there for the memes and based takes.

Since when did LARPers write essays on theology?
>killing Jews and laughing about Covid deaths
This literally never happened

You're just wrong tho, I literally spoke to people who used to come here. And besides /r/islam tolerates way too much liberalism so why would people from here go there?
Honestly you just sound like you just have a personal vendetta against them, you seem to be repeating alot of the accusations /r/AgainstHateSubreddits used to make.

Nobody on islamicsub ever wrote an essay about anything.

You just proved you've never been there
>I literally spoke to people who used to come here
They probably got banned from here for posting "le happy merchant" memes and trying to incite violence. /islam/ has no tolerance for concern trolls, daesh supporters, or shia haters. If you came here thinking you found some salafist echo-chamber where you can decry "da j00s" and call for violence against secular leaders, you may as well turn 360 degrees and walk away.

Eh, this place still has a lot of them I am one but so far only a few that just outright calling names and attack the person rather than the arguments.

Again you're literally just wrong.
You've clearly never been there and are just making things up based on hearsay and your imagination. Why would you do that? Are you like some salty shia or something?

Google caches everything. It's really easy to see everything ever posted there and the only essays there were copypastes from other places with the credit lines removed. 90% of r/islamicsub was people screaming at each other for not being a true Muslim. It was literally as bad as /pol/ yelling "Jew detected" at each other every post.
It's gone. I'm glad it's gone. No matter how much you whine and cry it's not coming back.

Too bad that was a pretty good sub I hear, but what did they expect posting truth on reddit of all places. They are an anti free speech echo chamber. I think >>>/muslim/ is a good alternative.

They banned a lot of small Muslim subreddits, its really opened the eyes of many Muslims on the site and some of them are leaving. There was a post on r/MuslimLounge today encouraging people to leave (https://www.reddit.com/r/MuslimLounge/comments/hjo7d3/reddits_latest_widespread_ban_somehow_banned/).

Using a copycat service is useless. Just like Reddit and Discord they will steal all your information, profit from it and delete whatever they don't like once enough people are dependent on their service. Try a decentralized, free (libre) software alternative like Matrix, XMPP or IRC if you need a community platform.
I've found a room about Islam on Matrix (Matrix is the protocol, Element is the client, you have the freedom to choose how to use the protocol) but most of the people are unaware how to use the the service properly since they're registered on matrix.org which is ran by kufar that are known for deleting rooms they don't like. Try chat.tchncs.de or chat.privacytools.io in the meanwhile.

Uh, bro, we're fine. We can talk openly on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Discord. We do it all the time without any problems. It's nobody's fault but your own that you can't be Muslim and talk about Islam in public.
