Civilization is dawning across the world. The advent of farming has begun to let previously nomadic tribesmen settle down and form permenant communities, accumulate wealth and increase their numbers.

Somewhere along the way, each new culture begins to form…an entity. A National God, if you will. An extention of the collective unconscious which has gained awareness.

Now, it is your duty to guide your people, so that their might may grow, even to the stars. Will you succeed, and have your name spoken across the face of the world? Or will you fail, and be crushed beneath the wheel of time?

>Civilization Name: Maepolites

>God Name: Cannucus

>Aspect: Harmony

>Color: Light Red or Light Green

>Location: Northern Forests

>Fluff: Maepol, the City of Trees. A secluded haven in the brisk northern woods, untroubled by many of the concerns elsewhere. Its residents are friendly, even to strangers, and always seem to be in a forgiving mood. Meats and lumber are in abundance, but the region is most famous for its special sap-based confection, known as "Maepol Syrup". On the foundation of this solid economy, bolstered b a unified workforce and military, and faced with a friendly and diplomatic foreign policy, the Maepolites prosper.

>Presiding over all this is the regions greatest deity, Cannucus. He is patron of Maepol and the surrounding forests, and also stands for harmony - harmony between people, between nations, and between sapient species and the natural world. Sometimes this harmony must be enforced with a heavy hand, but Cannucus much prefers people to come to unity themselves. Disciples of Cannucus are called Cannucs, and they tend his temples and foster goodwill and camaraderie among all. The symbols of Cannucus are the leaf of syrup tree, symbolizing his connection to the land, and the unforked branch, a unified and unbroken instrument that promotes balance and stability. But to any who threaten the stability of the Cannucs, beware, for Cannucus will teach you the real meaning of 'sorry'.

Newport is a vicious city. People say that someone can live here their entire lives and never even scratch the surface of what really goes on. Drug deals and shootouts are the obvious things, but there are entire meth labs, factories full of slaves working day and night for factions that are no more corrupt than the politicians letting them keep the property. These gangs and groups are nearly all powerful, they do what they want to who they want when they want, and almost no-one questions them.

You play as gang members fighting for control over the dangerous and diverse streets of Newport. From the loud and foul-smelling slums to the high-rises full of scummy lawyers. You come from all areas of life, but one constant is that you fell upon hard times. The economy is in serious recession and you can see it everywhere. Concealed carry permits are given out almost free, as walking alone without one is almost suicide. This is the dangerous world you live in, and your about to take advantage of it for all it's worth.

1.2. My job will be to find us the best route in and out of the bank with a minimum amount of fuss. So lets gets to that. Buddy up with Q to see if she can get me blueprints of the place as well as camera placements and the like, then I'll go scout it out personally. Gotta keep in mind I'm escorting a bunch of walkers of course so the route I pick has to be low on the amount of freerunning it takes.

>Name : Faith Sinclair

>Fluff : Faith is a Runner, part of a small group of people who uses the tight-knit buildings crammed together to traverse the city by rooftops. She and her partners offer their services to get messages and small goods where-ever they are wanted, without getting noticed by the police or the gangs. Faith herself is the best of the best at Running, able to get into places no one else can, and out again safely. Often with no one besides the person she was delivering too the wiser. Which explains how she got into this particular mess. A big shot of the Deep Crows has told her to kill a guy in a place his regular goons couldn't reach. He offered a lot of money. And she took it.

Solaris: Phase Two – The Reckoning.

Session #6: New Homes, New Challenges

The Demurge hunts you, the Symphony subverts you, the SOC betrayed your people.

And yet you still continue.

With no civilization in sight, a weary crew and peoples begin preparations for establishing permanent colonies on worlds in the far flung Lao Sho Nebula, a place where your people have begun a bloody history in fighting for survival. Now with the promise of stability only a planet can offer, your crew is given new hope and a promise of salvation by their own blood, sweat and tears. Take solace in your survival thus far; Your defiance is your strength.

But it alone will not beat back the dark.

(Hit on 35*)

The battleship flew. Anticipation was the only word to describe the feelings of the crew as we were fast approaching our target. The fastest vessel in the DCS was about to collide with a ship a fraction of its size. The destruction of the corvette was fact with varying levels of destruction based on the efficiency of our velocity maneuvering we could strike it with enough force to destroy it four times over, obliteration for the demurge and a new paint job for our Girl.

On the edge of their seats eyes glued to their screens "Bring up several frontal views on the monitor, we may want to reexamine this for future study" I would need several view points to really appreciate the total destructive force being unleashed.

The Laser of the Huntress lined up with it's target, the Battlemaster computer adding a thousand minor corrections to the ship in order to line up the hit. Inside the ship proper, a gunnery officer depressed a trigger, both elated to send another enemy ship into the void as a derelict ruin, and disappointed that none of the heavier weapons could be sued to annihilate the small ships.

So, I'm stepping away from my traditional civilization type game. In this game everyone makes a separate nation or civ. You do your own actions and roll 1d100 for every action, and then when everyone has said their actions for the round I put down the results, the game continues like that. If this is popular I will continue this for as many threads as it's still popular. So start by filling out the character sheet (see below) and claiming a small area on the map. If you have any questions please ask me in this chat- https://client01.chat.mibbit.com/ . The name for the chat is #Nation and I'm Undeadciv

>Leader's Name: Haqar, Son of Haqad

>Leader's Fluff: Born under the eclipse. Baptized with the blood of the fiercest fire lizards. A warrior who, as tale would tell it, is unrivaled by any normal man. Only the fiercest and strangest beasts of war stand any hope before him, for the blood of Spirits runs through his veins. Haqar is the leader of the Tazatan people, a position inherited by birth but kept by merit. He has proven himself meritable thus far, for the crops have been good and his people have banded together in greater numbers than before. He possesses no mystical powers– the Spirits have not blessed him with battle prowess and he is killed as easily as any man. But he sees no reason to disparage these rumors– if they want to take his handiness with the man-hewer as divine power, let them.

>Leader's Traits [100/100]: Unrivaled Warrior - All Leader's Military Traits loses 5 point value. [0 Points]

Mystical Rumors - Neighboring non-players will hear of the rumors about you. Could heavily decrease Influence rate in diplomacy actions. [10 Points]

Blood of Spirits - If you lead the first battle of any war, all troops gain the MAX level of moral in the first battle.. 25% increased moral's bonus in subsequent battles. [30 Points]

Arts of War - 2% increased roll value for battles. [20 Points]

Smart, Strong, Charismatic.

Agile - +1 Movement Speed when leading an army [15 Points]

Lucky - Bad events from rolls (20 and below) have a less chance appearing. [10 Points]

>Leader's Name: Godhelm The Cleaver

>Leader's Fluff: The mighty Allfather and God-King of the Urshelm kingdom. Godhelm is an old warrior, born in the frozen wastes and raised by his own volition. His father a warlord, his mother a general, Godhelm has seen nothing but battle and bloodshed all his life. He grew, surrounded by the corpses of his enemies, to drive them before him, hearing the lamentations of the women. The religion of Urshelm states that Godhelm is no less then the ultimate god of war, an immortal and divine being who has fell from the heights of his battlerealm to serve with you, and to suffer with you. His strong arm to choke the enemies of Urshelm, his axe to cleave them and claim their head for the hunt, to serve with Godhelm is to know divinity. And to betray him, is to know eternal fear and suffering.

>Leader's Traits [0/100]:

>Nation's Name: Urshelm

>Color: Grey, or something else if that is taken.

>Fluff: (Ursine (Bear People)) Urshelm is the first and only major civilization of the Ursine race. The race of violent, hardy bear people was known for its smaller, more seperate social structures and rampant barbarism. Feuding tribes, clans and castes fighting over a frozen rock and seeking nothing more than battle. However, with the rise of the might Godhelm, these tribes would be anhilliated and assimilated in the coming empire. Urshelm is a stratocratic god-kingship, with absolutely no deviation between the state and the military and massive church devoted to worshiping Godhelm as the savior of the Ursine race and the vanguard of the coming empire. The people of Urshelm are warriors and organize their leadership through tests of physical strength; with the Allfather being the strongest ursine of them all.

>Leader's Name: Hunaja

>Leader's Fluff: A few clever humans decided to hunt down and capture a band of the legendary "demon children", who stalked the forests, they managed to trap a few hundred in a box canyon, and were closing in for the kill, when Hunaja stepped up, and began laying about them with a club. The hunters, expecting children, but finding a wildcat like her instead, turned and fled, pursued by the other Söpölinen. They were run down, and eaten.

Following this, Hunaja was made the tribe's champion, and, after the death of the old chief, was elevated in her place, and, in time, was granted the mantle of "High Queen".

>Leader's Traits [0/100]: (Blank)

>Nation's Name: Söpö

>Color: Cerulean

>Fluff: The Söpö are a humanoid, if small race, specializing in stealth, infiltration, and disguise. They are somewhat ill-suited to direct combat, and tend to do even more poorly in close-quarters. To compensate for this, they have developed a talent for hiding, moving quickly over terrain, and disguising themselves as human children until a more favorable opportunity presents itself.

Due to their physical weakness, they seek strength in numbers, and are all unified politically, with inter-tribal wars almost unheard-of, and all tribal chiefs answer to a High Queen.

In contrast to normal humans, the females are given the dangerous tasks, such as combat and hunting, while the males, prized for their skill in craftsmanship, lore and healing, are given duties around the camp, and as such, tend to be somewhat softer and gentler than the females of the species.

Cold War has settled across the Galaxy.

The Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic have come to an uneasy ceasefire in the wake of the former's attack upon Coruscant and the destruction of the Jedi Temple.

The ensuing series of small-scale conflicts and arms races that have fired up across the galaxy have proven to be a boon to spacers, smugglers and bounty hunters alike. The Jedi lick their wounds, preparing once more for another war, while the Sith and their Empire press their luck with constant, inflammatory strikes upon Republic holdouts. The Republic itself struggles to hold down separatist uprisings and corruption within their own ranks.

The future is uncertain.

They year is 2043, and the city of London has been "abandoned" After a series of bombings left the city in disrepair. Those who are left are resistance groups fighting for their freedom against the government force sent to remove them from the city by force. It's the classic tale of the common man facing against big brother, the kind of story that births heroes! However you are not a hero, you are a mercenary, and you are doing this for entirely personal reasons. Whether for money, drugs, or the thrill of putting bullets into someone's head, you are here to get paid and kill anyone trying to stop you.

Tech level is just between modern and cyberpunk. Electricity guns and motion sensors are things but don't expect to be disintegrating fools.

Welcome to evergreen, a planet that has been frozen over by pollution and war, forcing the populace to move underground to the caves. Society has devolved over the decades, reverting to a more medieval age. Religion is also a deep part of life, the recent rise of the death cult know as the Thanatais has placed great stress upon the inquisition of the grey church. May god in coma smile upon them, for the Thanati wish death on all being, themselves being the last to go.

Welcome to my hero builder, this builder will focus more on individuals than nations. It will most likely be a high fatality game for the foolish or unlucky. However a game does not end at death, for one must achieve peace of the afterlife. Something you might long for soon enough. Things will be ran loose and casual, like me.

for rolling we use…

2d100, usual stuff.

I'll need the following from those who wish to participate.

Equipment: (I'll give you this)

Mood: (A light idea on how you feel, you start off indifferent)

Religion: Grey Church or Thanati, pick one.

also, please roll a 1d20 when you create your character.

More tabs will be added and taken away as time goes on.

Spent most of his younger life sneaking through the streets in search of a noble with loose pockets or a food cart with no guards. He was eventually caught one day by guard who beat him bloody and black, depositing him a Con-Run clinic with some problems. Blood was dissapearing. Patients were being drained in the night. Edward hid under his blankets each night in the hopes that it wasn't his turn until the day that the Vampire Hunter arrived. With his iconic black hat and hand-crossbow, he prowled through the clinic in search of his prey and Edward joined him. The vampire hunter wasn't happy with this but Edward proved useful enough to keep around during his search. He eventually found the vampire and killed it while Edward watched on with a mixture of fear and awe. Shortly after Edward told the man of his background, he decided that their ranks could use a new member.

A new act has passed allowing prisoners to be experimented on so long as they are seen as humane. Greyrock Correctional Facility is the first prison opened that specializes in these experiments and the first test is to see how prisoners react when the two genders are integrated. This is what the public believes however but it's quite obvious by the way the tests are carried out that the people in charge don't care about results, this is just a temporary fix for the overcrowding in prisons. The first busload of prisoners arrive at the front gate and you are on board.

Aside, that is, from the sociopathy that plagued his mind. He was a good and dutiful boy, always loved rock music but otherwise unremarkable.

At the age of 15, the symptoms of his disorder began to manifest. He stylized himself as a rocker, a fabulous and well-loved entertainer. His fans he perceived were admonishing onlookers, and his family were rather surprised. But to them, it was just a phase. He didn't have any passion for college, and they couldn' force him into it, so he eventually got his own apartment. Two years later, at the age of 20, he forced himself upon a woman who was walking from her car to the apartment. No one came to her aid at the time, and it was months later when she finally was able to make the accusation.

Hanif was tried for rape and assault, and found guilty. The defense was unable, however, to prove his insanity. So he was sent to Greyrock, from 30 years to life. Some questioned sending a rapist to the first co-ed prison, but those dissents mysteriously disappeared from the news after a while. And here he remains now. He still stylizes himself a rocker, and a ladies man. He just has a new crowd to please.

Her family already having a history of heigh and weight gain, it was clear from an early age she seemed destined to grow up fat. Already the taunting would begin.

Determined not to bow down to fate, she steeled herself to turn her disorder to an advantage and swore to become an athlete, beginning training from a young age. She had to fight not only her condition but the traditionalist parents who wanted a delicate daughter, her former faith she abandoned after they claimed masculinity for females was a sin and constantly eating protein and such obsession with fitness was a form of gluttony. But with years of hard toil and labor she burned the bulk of her mass into solid muscle and flesh, exercising and training almost religiously. She joined the football team of her highschool and in college joined the women's weightlifting team.

Blasting her way through competitors and companions her strength set her on the path to the Olympics and ultimate glory.

It was ultimately fortunate for her to have gotten so far. In her quest to overcome her issues, she had earned a reputation as both a bully and a boxer, punching out anyone who taunted her weight, her size, or the side effects of over production of testoreone. In particular, it her condition was a blessing as it gave her a medical excuse to hide a dark secret it seemed she would be able to keep indefinitely.

Until she couldn't keep it, and was found to be in possession of Anabolic Androgenous Steroids. On top of the shame of losing her chance at the limelight, explusion from a prestigious school, her particular stockpile gave her a felony and sent her on a one way ticket to a women's prison.

At the peak of the economic empire, the Osiris Conglomerate was the leading Mega-corporation in DCS space and beyond. A veritable trove of capitalistic might backed by the largest names in the galactic industrial complex, Osiris has seen a dramatic change in leadership, now led by the immortalized Klaus Vanger, a Earth-born Human, a member of the family behind the Vanger Institute. By his 17th birthday, he had already begun amassing wealth and power to rival a small nation, and by the time he was tapped to step up to the Osiris Board of Directors, his net worth was well over the total GDP of the entire Outer Rim combined. However in a shocking move that has boggled the minds of legislatures and corporate analysts the galaxy over, Klaus successfully lead a motion that dissolved the Osiris Conglomerate, giving each of its member corporations full autonomy and independence. It was in this event that your rise to power began. Where previously the Osiris Conglomerate regulated inter-corporate competition, nearly every industry has begun a brutal power struggle to achieve market dominance. Will you rise to power as an unstoppable juggernaut of industry, a spotless face of PR glory, or the symbol of modern Greed? Or will your company become a footnote in the acquisitions ledger of your foes. Only you and your ingenuity, strategy, and foresight stands between you, your company, your employees, and financial ruin.

Energy Manufacturing

Consumer Goods

Military Manufacturing & R&D

Fluff:

Aduro Industries started as ‘Mr. Light’. A small family run business that sold recycled light bulbs in to a rural mining town. Few would suspect such tiny, insignificant company would become the giant of energy.

Lenny Carlson, had been passed the (somewhat failing) business down from his father. One fateful day, he had been heading home during a storm when fate decreed, he was struck by a bolt of lightning. When he recovered, he seemed strange, quiet, withdrawn, as if something changed him. To any questions his only response was “I have seen the light” . Thereby, he would go to junk yards and scavenge parts and pieces from scrapyards and purchase army surplus and retreated to his basement. Over a week later, he emerged with a strange ball of light in his hands. Upon which, he stepped outside onto the road and was immediately struck by a passing semi-truck. Horrified onlookers were suddenly silenced, as out of the wreckage walked a perfectly fine and safe Lenny Carlson, not so much as the smell of gasoline on him. Just the ball in his hands.

He then mentioned “having to speak to someone”. None know who he spoke to or what about, but it is commonly accepted he took several blueprints and designs to a government agency and appealed to them. On that day, Lenny Carlson sold his design for the world's first hand-held shield. After then, funding poured its way through to the company like the famed bolt of inspiration that seemingly struck Carlson long ago.

Aduro Industries was born, and Lenny Carlson took up the name "Mr. Light" after his old company. His inventions would light up the world. Like a modern tesla or edison, he awed the world with his mastery of all things energetic. Safe and applicable wireless energy, batteries that could be installed in devices that would draw their power from central generators and never need to be recharged again, to gigantic models that could help charge up spaceships without cables or huge fuel transfers. Holographic entertainment, utility devices, weapons systems and defense mechanisms. Using manipulated energy to suit the needs of mankind.

Mr. Light see's a future where energy is harnessed to solve all of mankind's problems, so let us get started on the holographic technology eh?

We will develop our primary pattent, our unique and special brand, the Aduro Holographic Device or AHD. In the future, one device should be capable of providing a single room with all its necessary needs, but for now I believe his first immediate goal would be a device which can project light fixtures to replace the old lighting system.

Imagine, a Lightbulb that not only never goes out, that can replace night lights, reading lamps, and more, but can also emulate any desired frequency? Solar light, moonlight, the colors of the rainbow, that sort of thing.

We're all getting bonuses if we can make it so a child has to flip a switch and his room literally appears as the night sky or if we can accurately depict a bright sunny day in the middle of night, all the green grass and trees and rivers whatnot. Give some spice to that old way of just plain old light!

Of course it will have to be small and convenient enough for the average person to place somewhere in his own room, and run on wireless energy.

So let's get to work gentlemen, and welcome to Aduro Industries."

Corporation Name: Vorpal Industries

Industry: Medicine & Pharmaceuticals, Cybernetics, Consumer Goods

Fluff: Founded as the consumer cybernetics arm of Osiris, Subsidiary Manager Edmund Verchessi took control of the fledgling company following Osiris' dismantling. For many decades, the subsidiary had specialized in cybernetic prosthetics and cyberware for professionals, military, and the common (but wealthy) citizen. It also worked in traditional augmentation, namely pills and medicines to both bolster health and improve performance.

Despite their focus on Cybernetics, one of their greatest achievements was early in their independence - Adimant, the wonder weight-loss drug. Unlike previous iterations, this one actually worked as well as it claimed. A single pill once a day for a week, and the user could drop up to 15 pounds in pure fat!

Vorpal, taking its name from the purportedly indestructible nature of its cybernetics, also functioned in mundane consumer goods, usually phones, commlinks, and other simple cyber-gear. These days, Vorpal Industries is still the premier cybernetic producer in most systems, and has been long seeking an official military contract for years. One thing is certain, all names aside, "legendary" doesn't fail to describe them.

After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1953, and several important scientific discoveries, mankind has set out to settle the Solar System and explore the galaxy! You now lead a one of the factions that bathes in the light of our home star in the glorious year of 2015. Space is starting to fill up, and it's up to you whether to fight for a place in the Solar System, or pack your bags for worlds beyond!

As stated before, most of the system is filled, from the arid deserts of Mercury and steaming swamps of Venus, to the frozen wastes of Pluto and the comet fields, to the lagrangian stations around Earth. Space travel is fairly simple (SSTO from Earth is a snap) and a good pilot can get from New York to Luna City in an afternoon, or to Marsianingrad in under a week of steady flying. Earth's population is about fifteen billion, and total human population is pushing 25 bil. The good ol' U.S. of A is still a superpower, but most everything outside of Low Earth Orbit is outside its direct influence (also an NPC). About half of settlements are lawless frontier towns, but some larger cities have been set up. Aliens are still unknown, but you can be an exploration/invasion force from the stars if you so choose.

After ten long years of bloodshed and toil, the Great War has finally come to a close. All gave some, some gave all, and quite a few gave more than that.

The world is broken, with few major nations in existence any more, and most of the minor ones dealing with their own border wars and daughter conflicts.

And you? You're a captain of a ship, stationed far from home, and after years of fighting for the cause, you've decided to make the most terrible decision a captian can make: to raise the black flag, and become a pirate. Adventure, fortune and immortality are yours for the taking, but disgrace and death will forever lie in wait over the horizon.

Original nationality: American

Current port: Pearl Harbor

Fluff: Captain's Log: They stopped sending us signals last year. We thought it was a problem with the Telegraph lines. Then the mail and supply shipments stopped. . .and then everything else stopped.

Ships sent to get orders never came back.

Admiral gave up. Ordered everyone to pack up on food and fuel and take the big ships home. Everyone but us. Of all the people, he ordered us to stay.

And that was the last we saw of anyone but us and the natives.

I don't know what happened to them, or what happened to the outside world, but you know, it ain't so bad. Lots of food, lots of sun, the women stay pretty, and we do well.

I know one thing's for sure though. The men are itchy. Itchy and homesick. Miss some of the comforts of home, and we're low on fuel. Saw some ships on the horizon, too far off to waste fuel on. Next ship that gets in range, I'm thinking we're gonna scratch that itch.

Captain's name: Amanda

Ship's name: Poseidon's Fury

Ship type: Submarine

Original nationality: The British Empire

Current port: Falkland Islands

Fluff: The Poseidon's Fury was stationed in the Falklands as a clandestine way for the British Empire to keep in contact with the laboratories in the Antarctica where they researched things where man was not meant to know. However their services were very rarely called for and most of the time the men not on duty spent their time carousing with the natives. Amanda was a daughter of one such union. Only the research done in that forsaken port had effects that twisted her father and many of the men in ways unseen and that in turn twisted her even in the womb. Born inhuman, her power was such that the entire crew, already effected by that which must not be seen, including the captain, became entirely subservient to her will. As she reached maturity she became dissatisfied with her small life on the islands, and pushed by urges she did not fully understand she turned to piracy and adventure.

Lorendale. A name that has echoed throughout the halls of nations and homes alike. A city whose very existence has been threatened by all that has come before it. A place that inspires hope in the hearts of it's masses. There is no city like it in the world and it is our heaven. A heaven of liberty. A heaven of corruption. Our heaven. Come closer and I shall tell a tale of Lorendale. From the start to the end, I will spin this tale for you. Come take a seat and listen for awhile.

You see, there was not a Lorendale at all in the very oldest of ages. To the south of what is modern Lorendale, the tribes of Jeklan united under the banner of the Savlok Dynasty in much fanfare and glory. A victory won through war and diplomacy alike, the Savlok grew to become capable kings albeit for a few bad apples who were always "weeded" out early through political assassination. Along with Jeklan, much of the world grew to match this fledgling kingdom and dark powers made themselves known to them. To the far east, the kingdom of dragons ruled over the lands of men and kobold alike. Slaves to the whims of the wyrms, the nation encompassed all of the eastern continent that simply became known as the Dragonlands to the simpler men of the West. Some say that they is some sort of conflict in their lands but word of it has not reached me, so it is not true.

South of Jeklan, the Empire of Roses followed in their example forming a very similar nation with a much different result. Dedicated to the religion of the Rose, the Empire became fanatical in their pursuit to end heretics and infidels despite being kin of Jeklan during their earlier tribal days. Some whisper of a foul conspiracy made by the elder races. Whatever the case, Jeklan and the Roses have been in a state of endless war since the dawn of modern civilization. Borders fluctuate and soldiers endlessly die for the two nations but thankfully, there has not been a big conflict in some time. Speaking of civilization, one of the gravest threats that Jeklan faced was that of the Northmen upon the frozen continent. Choked in eternal frost and ice, these savages once sent ships of ice itself onto our shores filled with savages and beasts unknown to our land. Barbarians, one and all despite what some may tell you. Strangely, their usual raids have died out as of late. I personally thPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

1. In order to set up a Mercenary Company Saren would need to scrape together a bunch of willing men who were able to utilize weapons. Saren was an experienced leader and a big guy, it shouldn't be too hard to find former soldiers and convince them to join his cause.

2. A Mercenary Company would require headquarters. He neeeded something cheap yet efficient. A warehouse would serve the purpose fine. Nothing too expensive, even something of appropriate size in the slums would do. It wasn't like a Mercenary Company was incapable of enforcing the law itself if it had to.

Fluff: Saris DuMont earned his title from his mannerisms in the halls of the Merchants Guild, Carpenters Guild, and Stonemason's Guild. Notably, he served as brokers for each of the guilds, acting as a financial advisor for each of the guild leaders. While many thought it to be a weakness to exploit, Saris rarely has been seen (almost ever) without twiddling his thumbs when he pondered the situation at hand. Considering he was rarely idle, "Twiddler" stuck as his nickname, but rarely ever to his face. However those close to Saris know that while previously he attempted to rid himself of the habit, he has turned it into a weapon in the guild halls. Luring in would be schemers into believing him a pawn, he maneuvers himself into positions of power on the shoulders of his would-be exploiters, while retaining their loyalty. Overall he is known as a shrewd businessman, with an uncanny tact for persuasion. But with his close, few, compatriots, he is a loyal and kind man, and often repays his debts two fold. Lately however, rumors have emerged of his hand in the deaths of several would-be loyalists to the crown, instilling the belief among the commoners that he has given up morality in the face of the loss of his contacts in the kingdom.

14966e No.6623 [Open thread][Last50 Posts]

Long ago your people walked the land under the watchful gaze of the Gods. These beings were your creators, your benefactors, your masters, and they worked wonders that the primitive minds you were allotted were mystified by. For eons your kind toiled and worked for them, bringing forth crops and castles, playing soldier in their great Blood Feuds, and generally living under that familiar and comforting yoke of servitude.

Then, however, came the Swine Lord.

The Swine Lord, a being encased in black armor wielding a massive axe and commanding a nigh endless army of misshapen Man-Beasts, marched to conquer the realm of the Gods. Your people fought alongside their masters, but the enemy's forces were too numerous and too monstrous to defeat.

The Gods fell, your people fled as the Swine Lord's booming voice echoed across creation:

"LET ALL NOW BEHOLD, THE AGE OF SAVAGERY!"

Now your race must rebuild, rising to find their place in this new horrid world, they must face the scattered Man-Beast 'Lords' with pretensions of rulership, and maybe-just maybe-defeat the Swine Lord himself and reclaim the world.

>Nation: Imperial Rose

>Race(s): Lillians

>Planet: Mountain's with plentiful volcanic activity. Most life is regulated to deep secluded valleys where plentiful soil has been produced and water has gathered. Travel between these valleys are deadly unless one has flight and even then 50% of the time the travelers died without sufficient protection.

We are the Imperial Rose, born of the soil, green and vibrant, with deep red petals and hungry, hooking thorns. For the longest time we thought ourselves alone, each of our kind existing in mere hundred, eking out the basest of existences.

All of us but one valley. The Imperials which we take our name. They had a valley thousands of kilometers wide, and they developed technology, and culture, and warred and brokered peace. The rest of us were barbarians to them and fated to remain as such. For travel outside our valleys upon our homeworld was impossible.

Until the Imperials invented the first airplane. The discovered they were not alone, and called their valley the First Glade, and ventured forth. They took the world, one isolated valley after the other, and we welcomed their rule, for they brought prosperity. The first rickety planes became faster and sleeker, and traveled higher and higher. Until one day we breached the clouds upon our world that cloaked the very stars from us. Our entire world saw those stars very first time and knew each was another valley. We renamed our homeworld, the Great Seed, and set out to see what lies beyond it.
