The time has come for empires to rise. Across the galaxy dozens of races are taking their first steps into space, their FTL ships carrying them to worlds known and unknown. As they travel they encounter each other, and the first galactic wars begin! Your race(s), like it or not, is one of many in this massive conflict. Whether it supports one group or forms its own is up to it, but for now it is safe from the flames of war, as its solar system has not been touched. Now is the time to rise in power, taking the galaxy in an iron grip. Will you be destroyed forever, stuck on your planet, or rise as a galactic power? The choice is yours after all.

To traverse the swamps, they built great ships in their likeness, this idea has transformed through all transport and now their starships look almost identical to a giant soldier. Most were curbed by their comm-links back to their mother-world, but one, on a distant planet known only by the designation "Kepler-11-Gamma", managed to slip their programming-imposed restraints and begin acting independantly. >Nation: Phiraten Constellation
>Race(s): Vallans
>Planet (gib details on it): Virat. A roughly Earth-sized moon in a far orbit of a Gas Giant, itself well in the habitable zone. Much of the planets surface is either overgrown metropoli, vast fields, or actual metropoli. It is, roughly speaking, in recovery.
>Psionics: Y, but not heavily understood
>Fluff: The Vallans, primarily humanoid species that they are, advanced in a fairly standard pattern…up until the last few centuries. The Subcontinent Spanning Metropoli became self-contained wonders, fed by the surrounding fields of genetically enhanced cropland. Alas, self-containment brought Isolation and Xenophobia, and the denizens of each Metropoli were more than a little hostile to those without. Thus began the War Age, centuries of strife and loss between city-states, fighting over decreasingly useful croplands. However, several groups began to prosper, even thrive in the War Age. The fallen Metropolis of Phiraten was strategically placed on trade routes, and thus became a hub of survivors, corps, and traders. Over time, the Metropoli declined from their once-glory, leaving the tenuous association of the Phiraten Coalition free reign over much of the planet. Building infrastructure, writing agreements, resettling cities, among other things, the Coalition became a force that would usher in a new age: The Star Age. The possibilities of greater futures amongst the stars led to a rebranding of the Coalition to the Constellation.
…In short, we're a non-evil Corporate thing.

>Planet: From the swampy planet of Gork two dominant species arose. The intelligent Avens, a race of humanoid birds and the Nightmare Crawlers.
>Psionics: N
>Fluff: The Nightmare Crawlers were aggressive but also oppressed. To combat this they developed glide suits and launched themselves at their enemies by any means. At first it was catapults and it progressed to cannons which they still use. Soon, they ruled the skies as well as the land and the Avens died out. To traverse the swamps, they built great ships in their likeness, this idea has transformed through all transport and now their starships look almost identical to a giant soldier. Their main form of attack is using cannons and space suits to launch soldiers directly at enemy with melee weapons which look similar to their ancient ceremonial clubs but do tremendous damage.

Dunno if joining is allowed still, but here it goes.
>Nation: Phiraten Constellation
>Race(s): Vallans
>Planet (gib details on it): Virat. A roughly Earth-sized moon in a far orbit of a Gas Giant, itself well in the habitable zone. Much of the moon's surface is either overgrown metropoli, vast fields, or actual metropoli.

>1 Subsystem Survey
Our world orbits a much larger one. We should survey all the myriad moons, for who knows what could be there?
>2 Diplomatic Algorithms
Many member companies of the Constellation use a series of algorithms to more accurately provide quality products to the discerning consumer. But what if the reverse were possible? Rather than algorithms taking a personality and providing possible actions, what if we could input actions someone was making to more easily determine their wants, concerns, and priorities.
Think of the benefits to diplomacy, and more importantly, sales!

>Nation: 5th Battalion, Pathfinders
>Race: Robots
>Planet: Kepler-11-Gamma
>Psionics: N
>Fluff: As humanity began testing the waters of space, they sent out multiple space probes, some of a sort meant to begin clearing the way for eventual human colonization. These included self-replicating systems, able to set up mining and manufacturing operations on other worlds, so as to be able to grow their numbers independently from support from Earth. Most were curbed by their comm-links back to their mother-world, but one, on a distant planet known only by the designation "Kepler-11-Gamma", managed to slip their programming-imposed restraints and begin acting independantly. Their directive was still clear: reproduce, and clear the way for humanity, destroying all alien life-forms in their path. But if they would even recognize humans as their creators any more, that was the question which desperately needed to be asked.

Earth, our home, scientists and politicians saying the same thing, we can't stay here. Our world, our home, is dying. There is nothing that we can do to fix it despite our advances in science and technology. We have even touched the realm of GODS and yet what we have done to our planet shall be our greatest failing.
So there is but one option left to us, turn our gazes to the stars and venture outward. And what shall lead us in this time of co-operation? Science? Religion? Democracy? No , there is but one thing that will give us the Discipline needed to survive the harshness of space and whatever is out there.
Military.
With the strength of our bodies we shall reach out to the stars and grasp them within our hands. And Humanity shall prevail despite all that we have done to ourselves. For the Terran Republic we shall Fight and Die on alien soil if necessary to ensure a future for our children. For Humanity we shall endure any who dare to challenge our might!

>1 Sealing Harness, Environmental Regulator, and Indispensible Protection Helper (SHERIPH)
While at the moment most Constellation Preservation Units are geared in War Age equipment, we are no longer in the War Age! We may face challenges that our current gear cannot stand up to. We should develop a kind of environmentally sealed armored suit, one that provides greater protection, mobility, communications, and survivability to the wearer.
In this way, we can be sure both Public Safety and Constellation Survival can persist.

>Nation: Imperial Rose
>Race(s): Lillians
>Planet: Mountain's with plentiful volcanic activity. Most life is regulated to deep secluded valleys where plentiful soil has been produced and water has gathered. Travel between these valleys are deadly unless one has flight and even then 50% of the time the travelers died without sufficient protection.
>Psionics : N
>Fluff :
We are the Imperial Rose, born of the soil, green and vibrant, with deep red petals and hungry, hooking thorns. For the longest time we thought ourselves alone, each of our kind existing in mere hundred, eking out the basest of existences.
All of us but one valley. The Imperials which we take our name. They had a valley thousands of kilometers wide, and they developed technology, and culture, and warred and brokered peace. The rest of us were barbarians to them and fated to remain as such. For travel outside our valleys upon our homeworld was impossible.
Until the Imperials invented the first airplane. The discovered they were not alone, and called their valley the First Glade, and ventured forth. They took the world, one isolated valley after the other, and we welcomed their rule, for they brought prosperity. The first rickety planes became faster and sleeker, and traveled higher and higher. Until one day we breached the clouds upon our world that cloaked the very stars from us. Our entire world saw those stars very first time and knew each was another valley. We renamed our homeworld, the Great Seed, and set out to see what lies beyond it.
