Civilization is dawning across the world. The advent of farming has begun to let previously nomadic tribesmen settle down and form permenant communities, accumulate wealth and increase their numbers.

Somewhere along the way, each new culture begins to form…an entity. A National God, if you will. An extention of the collective unconscious which has gained awareness.

Now, it is your duty to guide your people, so that their might may grow, even to the stars. Will you succeed, and have your name spoken across the face of the world? Or will you fail, and be crushed beneath the wheel of time?

>Civilization Name: Dezio

>God Name: Ultion

>Aspect: Vengeance

>Color: dark grey

>Location: Eastern mountains, most southern, closest to center

>Fluff: After a large tribe raided another, smaller one, everyone was left dead except a young man. They mocked this man and burried him up to his head in snow and left him to die. Ultion used all of his power to keep him alive and after a week appeared to him. The first human to see him. Ultion told the man that he would not let him die until all the people and all of their decendents from the larger tribe were dead. The man tried to deny this but soon found it wasn't an offer, it was a demand. Ultion is not the god of justice, he is the god of vengeance. Evil acts shall be done upon those who commit them.

He didn't feel like he has ascended to a higher position he feels cheated out of a higher dignifying position. So he punished everyone who tries to call him by his old name and adapted the moniker of the Godfather. Then the Godfather made a vow that he would ascend to control the gods themselves. >Fluff: In the farthest south of the continent the people of Halbrek live in a musical paradise. The strange plants and animals, mixed with the constant rain, create a variety of beautiful sounds ranging from tempered to seemingly wild. The Halbrek are born into this cacophony, and have come to appreciate it immensely. They build shelters and homes that help it flow, weapons that whistle through the air, and much more. Due to their dedication to sound and their own beliefs they have created Asinoth, the god of music.

There once was a peaceful fishing village, led by an adventurous sailor. He longed always to explore, to push back the unknown and find great wonders for his people. Without him, they would surely suffer - but there was a constant risk to his exploration. A constant danger in retrieving amazing items.

Is it any wonder that one day he did not return?

He was thought lost for almost a month before he washed up again on the shore, a strange look in his eyes. All he would say about his journey was that his ship had sunk, but that he had been saved by "Mermaids" on behalf of their god. These creatures of the deep entertained him at their court, an insisted that he take away an idol to give it thanks for his life.

The village built it its own hut, and started to pray to it. Ever since, inspiration and terror in equal measure would come regularly in their dreams. And their leader was one of those that slept least soundly.

Eventually, he left in the night to rejoin the court of the mermaids. He had been changing for a while, and so nobody minded when he went.

The village had a new protector now.

>God Name: Faentir

>Aspect: Magic

>Color: White

>Location: Forests in the middle east part of the large continent, around the massive lake.

>Fluff: One of the the earliest peoples, the Fae were made by taking the energies of the other gods, the excess that radiated off of their creations, and shaping it into a creature, a living, thinking thing. As they were made from the Aether, the energy of life, they were able to manipulate it around them as easily as moving a limb. They were the first true practicioners of magic. Since then, they grew mighty…until the Incident. A scant millennium ago, when creating a core of magic meant to power the many machines they had made, something went terribly wrong, and their capitol city was erased from the world. The crater has since filled in with water, becoming a massive lake, and many artifacts from when the now scarce fae were in their prime dot the earth.

Faith is how much your citizens believe in you, and your happiness times your faith is how effective your powers are.

Faith decreases if you fail in your actions, or if happiness gets below one. If your faith runs out, you die, and can re-make.

Three actions, 1d100 each, and may the Gods be with you!

>Fluff: Kelu is the Goddess of the Earth, who dwells beneath the mountain. When the earth shakes, it is because she is dancing or grumbling. Smoke bellows from the mountain tops because she is breathing. And when fire flows like water to the ocean, it is because she thirsts and walks to take a drink, leaving behind precious soil of her own body that is more fertile than any other.

Style. Substance. So many people live lives without either. Dreary, faltering, half lives. No longer. By changing the Style of ones life, to create the image of a better life, so flows Substance into it.

Fight Apathy with Amazement! Fight Doubt with Daring! Fight Evil with Excitement!

Throw yourself at life, and life will flow THROUGH you!"

This World isn't perfect, but we can make it better!

So the Kevars believe, so Fosterlan embodies.

1. Use [Divine Revelation] to make myself known to them to their priest and healers and wisemen.

2. Have my followers develop construct a temple built specifically away from my "walking path" where lava tends to flow, but in sight of the mountain, where prayers and gratitude can be made.

3. To increase the effectiveness of their faith, have them develop specific religious rituals. Sacrifices can be given to lava springs or specifically when I "walk" to the sea, offerings sent to be burnt along with priestly prayers and joyous tumultation. A happy time, where good fortune is looked to as their god walks among them.

>Civilization Name: Maepolites

>God Name: Cannucus

>Aspect: Harmony

>Color: Light Red or Light Green

>Location: Northern Forests

>Fluff: Maepol, the City of Trees. A secluded haven in the brisk northern woods, untroubled by many of the concerns elsewhere. Its residents are friendly, even to strangers, and always seem to be in a forgiving mood. Meats and lumber are in abundance, but the region is most famous for its special sap-based confection, known as "Maepol Syrup". On the foundation of this solid economy, bolstered b a unified workforce and military, and faced with a friendly and diplomatic foreign policy, the Maepolites prosper.

>Presiding over all this is the regions greatest deity, Cannucus. He is patron of Maepol and the surrounding forests, and also stands for harmony - harmony between people, between nations, and between sapient species and the natural world. Sometimes this harmony must be enforced with a heavy hand, but Cannucus much prefers people to come to unity themselves. Disciples of Cannucus are called Cannucs, and they tend his temples and foster goodwill and camaraderie among all. The symbols of Cannucus are the leaf of syrup tree, symbolizing his connection to the land, and the unforked branch, a unified and unbroken instrument that promotes balance and stability. But to any who threaten the stability of the Cannucs, beware, for Cannucus will teach you the real meaning of 'sorry'.

1) A good foundation is the mark of a great work. The people shall make and/or impove on their farms.

2) The hammer is the tool of progress. The hammer is the tool of combat. The hammer is the tool of the gods! A blacksmith is a holy site, and tools made there are holy. All shall know of this.

3) [Divine Relevation] shall show me guiding the people in the use of their tools, in the visions of their craft. Let me inspire them!

1. The weak-minded will be faithful and happy if their dreams are filled with pleasant sights and soothing music. We can show them the landscapes of the deep, and the far-off singing of our court. Our followers will be at ease.

+[Young Men's Dreams: inspire faith with dreams of the deep]

2. The smarter of our followers will not be so easily swayed or contented. To them we must whisper wonderful secrets, make promises of greatness and majesty. They will follow us for what they can learn, what we can teach - and how we can bless their waking lives.

+[Divine Revelation: increase faith among your citizens]

3. Our followers need to learn about the sea. Not only is it home to the court of Roolei, but it is a source of food, of materials - a provider like no other so long as the right offerings are made. With inspiration coming to their dreams already, I have no doubt they will be filled with a yearning to learn more, to explore and marvel.

Then Civilization chose them, and the world did rock. Ah the great city! The wonders! The plays!

All made possible through the spread of civilization by the sword.

Fighting for what one believes, a cause all soldiers understand. An army of action, and not words.

Blood spilled in the name of a higher purpose, and not solely to make the world run red.
