Totally mogs Osprey in all metrics. Flying in 1964. Can land/takeoff conventionally so can take off overloaded or land if damage precludes VTOL ballet dancer landing.
Only mech problem was some vibration in the main shaft, but vibration is fixable, just reposition and/or add a couple more bearings.
Real problem was the very high ground pressure of the smaller props and powerful engines would really start digging on any soft surface and turn stones into dangerous projectiles for any ground personal, and I guess would make hella sand or snow storm. Might even dig a problematic sized hole.
But that wouldn't be a problem for heli-carrier ops as long as everyone knew it was gonna be more than normal helo on deck.
IMO the Mullet Ship is valid concept, since it seems these days a destroyer is just a heli-carrier for most of its time.
Standardize on a clean-sheet design of more or less a Y-130, but with Baked-In Zero Launch feature and bolt launch rails to helo-decks of even down to frigate/corvette sized ships. With A2A refueling they can figure out somewhere else to land. Make them multi-multi role as trainer/light attack, radar picket, missile truck, lite tanker and even ASW. Make land based Zero Launch carried by big Soviet style ICBM TEL 10 wheeled truck, with big blade in front to make instant runways.
