There's no discharge in the war!

According to this guide, it looks like all I'd have to do to get a full auto M16 would be to mill the receiver to fit the auto sear and buy an M16 parts pack. Do you need an AFT license to buy an M16 parts back, since it's supposed to be a replacement for registered M16 lower parts?

If I were to actually create this, I would only use it in case of actual anarchy caused by a civil war, world war 3, grid-down caused by EMP, etc. Gun crimes with full-auto weapons are almost non-existent in the US, and I would imagine that there are thousands of unregistered full-auto weapons made after May 1986 in civilian hands in the US. It's just that the owners of those weapons are smart enough to keep them secret and away from criminals.

Here's an improved version of the second image with added information. I tested it, and it still posts on 4chan, but the image resolution is barely small enough to still be accepted. I added information about using a VPN and Tor Browser to remain anonymous, so the alphabet boys can't figure out who you are, or at least not be willing to put in the massive effort it would take to figure out who you are.

Called it before 2015. The moment hypersonic anti-ship missiles were confirmed MiG-31 seemed like an ideal launching platform and as a matter of fact I was dumbfounded that an anti-ship K variant for the MiG-31 haven't existed for the last three decades.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurofighter_Typhoon#Upgrades

>Also in 2015, Airbus flight tested a package of aerodynamic upgrades for the Eurofighter known as the Aerodynamic Modification Kit (AMK) that included fuselage strakes and leading-edge root extensions which increases wing lift by 25% resulting in an increased turn rate, tighter turning radius, and improved nose-pointing ability at low speed with angle of attack values around 45% greater than on the standard aircraft and roll rates up to 100% higher.[91]

AMK Leading Edge Root Extension

>Eurofighter's Laurie Hilditch said these improvements should increase subsonic turn rate by 15% and give the Eurofighter the sort of "knife-fight in a phone box" turning capability enjoyed by rivals such as Boeing's F/A-18E/F or the Lockheed Martin F-16, without sacrificing the transonic and supersonic high-energy agility inherent to its delta wing-canard configuration.[92] Eurofighter Project Pilot Germany Raffaele Beltrame said: "The handling qualities appeared to be markedly improved, providing more manoeuvrability, agility and precision while performing tasks representative of in-service operations. And it is extremely interesting to consider the potential benefits in the air-to-surface configuration thanks to the increased variety and flexibility of stores that can be carried."[93]

Why the fuck did that take two decades? Everyone was using LERXs since the freaking 70s, commies even put them on MiG-31 a 40 tons long range interceptor. Why did it take eurocucks so long to grasp that LERXs GOOD noLERXs BAD!?

Right, that was my take as well. I could see the reasoning behind going for a compression lock, since although it's a little weaker that CBBL, it's easier to activate and is great for flipper knives. This new one doesn't seem to have a particular advantage over the much simpler CBBL.

Even old feudal minded line infantry standard liking guys like me have to admit that the mixed squad is the way forward at this point. Whacky ideas about replacing the light machine gun are insane, it is the one piece of squad equipment that can't change except for extremely specific special operations duty. If you go with assault rifles, or even assault carbines, you end up needing battle rifle or now DMR support to supplement that lack of range in certain conditions. The dream of the standardized rifle for all 8-12 men of a standard infantry squad will have to wait, until something major super comes along to radically change things.

The negative parts of heavy specialty is that it becomes an organizational issue at the very least, now you have to attach how many specialized units to base minimum unit what/ An anti tank sub unit to every company, do you stick them to a platoon, place them in the heavy weapons platoon of an infantry company? How many DMR and where do you allot them? Full sniper support where and how? Small special operations forces find this easy, doing this along an army is more difficult, and trying to organize this and find replacements in a third world war would be insanely logistically difficult. Finding new units to equip new units, then organizing sending DMR, tank busters, snipers, ect. to these highly diversified units as they take casualties is an issue.

Standard line infantry advantage for its disadvantage with this issue: loss of specialization, but ease of equipping standard units and replacing losses. Give them man a rifle and standard equipment for the theater and send him.

The universal and constant problem of the diversified squad has haunted us from its earliest days back in WW2. SMG's can't be used very effectively at extended ranges, if you get into a longer range fight with weapons and people whoPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Or are they waiting for a war to break out first and have their current tanks blown up to kingdom come before they issue an order for new tank designs, just like the Germans did in WWII?

A while back I saw a list somewhere of the best/cheapest gear to buy for arming a group. I know it included a knife, a rifle, a sidearm, boots, and some other stuff. Does anyone have any clue what I'm talking about or know some things that would fit well on the list? (stuff that's cost-effective like Mora knives etc.)

Bows require far more training to reliably hit their targets than firearms, so unless you're some hunger games reddit fag, bows are only for the small niche of hunters or actual archer fags. The point of the infographic is to give a basic template on how to arm a milita cheaply and efficiently.

bows> still more accessible to most of the world than firearms. i know you ameritards think the world revolves aroud you and everyone can go to the grocery store and buy a basket of ar15s but truth is different in 85% of the world. there is a global problem at this time that governments are using to poach EVERYBODIES rights to freedom and people need to be preped.

unsecure> you cant just press a few buttons on baofengs to encrypt them. there is a voice inversion mod but that is not secure from anyone except an idiot. you can build add on audio encryption boxes but thats beyond many people. there are some 466 radios for cheap that do have digital encryption. its strictly illegal however for public to transmit encrypted messages. search for these units from china.

gud boi doggo> your mum probably ddoesnt allow you to have pets in her basement, but at least she keeps your neet ass fed with mountain dew and tendies. not bulgarian, just bugged out here because of VERY favorable conditions over the many other places i have visited or lived. it is national culture here to have 6 months of home produced food in the basement at any time, everyone has an acre of well cared for farmland, animals for protein, no blacks, no fags, a good community spirit and everyone is armed, also good boi doggos run free in the streets to alert the neighbourhood to the odd passing gypsy. dogs hate gypsies.

and yes one time i did go on redit but got banned within the hour because of whiny little fags. went immediately back to 8 and 4. but i believe reddit is still going, maybe you should go check it out you little fag boy

Has anyone heard of this before?

>According to witnesses and those who investigated the case, just a few minutes prior, Officer Duggan was taking a right hand turn from Winter Street onto Lowell St. A car being driven by William Rodriguez of Lowell nearly hit him, continuing toward Broadway and finally came to a stop at a red light at the next corner.

>Officer Tom Duggan, Sr. was on his way to court that afternoon and in civilian clothes. He was driving his own car when he pulled up behind Rodriguez and his girlfriend Doris Ortiz of Lawrence.

>Witnesses said Duggan got out of his car, identified himself as a police officer as he approached them, but before he could say anything more, Ortiz jumped out of the passengers side of the car and advanced on him, hitting and pushing him in the middle of Lowell Street.

>Within seconds, Rodriguez also jumped out of the car brandishing a metal softball bat. He advanced on Officer Duggan slapping the bat in his hand over and over.

>Because it was broad daylight, and on a busy downtown street where kids were walking home from school, and pedestrians were walking close by, Officer Duggan pulled out his gun and ordered Rodriguez to put down the bat while he backed up into a the vacant lot.

>Duggan matched every advancing step by the perpetrators with a step back, luring them away from from innocent bystanders and into the vacant lot in case he had to shoot his weapon.

>But as Duggan reached the edge of the lot, Ortiz jumped on him, grabbed at the gun, and held his hands, just long enough for Rodriguez to beat him in the head with the bat. As Rodriguez came down with the first blow to Duggan’s head, he fired his weapon, but the bullet only grazed the neck of Ortiz while Rodriguez began beating him repeatedly. Police would later learn that Duggan tried to fire again but his gun had jammed.

>Witnesses said that Rodriguez continued beating him even after he fPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

We all know MREs exist but they're full of preservatives and shit, nothing you really want in your body long term. If you were designing some on the go meal packages for a SHTF scenario what would you make?

Assume you have a week to prepare. You have access to any ingredients you can find in your local super market. You need to make a months worth of food or at least a breakfast and evening meal.

<Spaghetti and minced beef with cheese and tomatoes x 1 month is not a viable answer. You need multiple options

I am talking about combat situations in which soldiers or officers use morale as their main weapon. Or even use morale as their only weapon.

https://hooktube.com/watch?v=GrauBQf7FpI&pbjreload=10

So there have been occasions where, officers or even generals didnt take cover. I also heard that there has been at least one attack by the white army in the russian civil war, that was basicly a march towards the red army position by the white army.

They went in marching formation and decoracted uniforms which caused the reds to simply surrender or run away.

Does anybody know something about this? I couldnt find anything myself.

Or any other compareable battle.

It's armor, actually: The onsie suits are called Tlahuiztl, they were made of a base layer of padded armor (basically gambeson; the Tlahuitzli was itself worn over a more basic tunic/vest of padded armor called Ichcahuipilli (first image), which was also used by mid ranking soldiers by itself who hadn't earned the Tlahuitzli) which was then covered in many thousands of feathers, arranged based on colors to form patterns such as jaguar spots, geometric designs, etc, the different colors and designs signifying rank and unit division. You see the same feather mosiac technique used on various other things such as Ehuatl (see second image, another form of armor, basically a tunic version of Tlahuitzli usually worn by commanders and royalty and was more ceremonial, though non-Mexica nahua groups like the Tlaxcalateca seemed to use it more liberally) shields (3rd image; these were usually a cane/reed or hardwood backing with then padded/gambeson body, and then the feather mosiac front, sometimes with copper/bronze/gold ornamentation and a leather strip or feather fringe along the bottom, similar to what you see as waist protection in some greco-roman stuff) , the helmets (the animal ones were hardwood with then the feather mosiac/precious stone/gold/copper/bronze ornmentation; 4th image; some of the more hat-esque helmets were probably (this is my guess, i'm not sure) a wood or reed frame with padding and feather mosiac like the shields), other Aztec art, and it was used in the colional period to make "paintings" using catholic imagery, such as seen here (5th image)

Happy to post more images of stuff/higher res versions on request btw

It's "mysterious" mainly just because most people aren't educated on it. We know a lot more then most people realize: It's true that the Spanish mass burned their libraries and texts which leads to us having much less surviving sources then what we might otherwise have, but there's still hundreds of colional era document both in Spanish and Nahuatl talking about Aztec history and society down to pretty specific detail: Sahagun's historyPost too long. Piper Daniel Laidlaw

http://www.pipesofwar.com/piper-of-loos/history.php

>The men of the 7th Kings Own Scottish Borderers (K.S.O.B.) were under heavy shell fire the morning of Spetember 25, 1915. If that was not enough to unnerve the soldiers, a cloud of poison gas began to drift over their posistion. A few of the men began to cough and choke and many sucumbed rappidly to the effects of the gas. The remainder were shaken by the disturbing image they saw. The commanding officer glanced over the scene as saw Laidlaw standing with his pipes waiting orders to go ‘over the top.’

>“Pipe them together, Laidlaw, for God’s sake, pipe them together,” cried the commanding officer.

>Immediately Laidlaw climbed onto the parapet and began marching up and down the length of the trench. Bullets whizzed past him, shells burst near him, but oblivious to the danger he played, “All the Blue Bonnets Over the Border.” The effect it had on his company was almost magical. Seeing the men take courage, the commading officer gave the order to advance and shouted, “Come on, Borderers, who’ll be the first to reach the German trenches?”

TL:DR: Scotsman got so angry he charged the Germans with just his bagpipes.

I'll start.

Some people, not just on imageboards, but behind the counter at gun stores, have some odd preconceptions about proper defensive armament for people other than the baseline user–that is, people other than adult males with normal hand size, grip strength, and upper body strength.

"What the little lady here needs is an airweight Taurus .38 snubby! Look, this one's pink!" Yeah, she'll love it. Until she takes it to the range and fires it once and the recoil jolts the fillings out of her teeth.

Let me preface what I'm about to say by saying that this is a moral pronouncement I'm about to make, rather than a demand for change of laws. I'm speaking in terms of changes I'd like to see in the gun culture and what we do or don't approve of or endorse when we see it. Ready?

There are people out there who choose a self-defense firearm because it's pink, because it weighs almost nothing (unloaded, natch), because it comes with a laser. Yes, almost all of these people are women. You know what? They aren't serious about self-defense and they aren't going to train. They aren't comfortable with or at peace with the idea that they just might find themselves fighting for their lives in a supermarket parking lot and they're not comfortable with the idea of killing. They're not going to build any kind of proficiency, they're not going to go to the range at all, they're not going to train. And when they see that knife in Tyrone's hand, they're going to hesitate, and predators can smell fear. And Tyrone's gonna get himself a brand new gun along with her purse, right after he strangles her with her own stockings and rapes her corpse. This is not a desirable outcome, for a number of reasons, not least of which is that I don't want to be the first one Tyrone shoots with his new toy.

I don't understand this mindset. A gun is not a fucking good luck charm. It's not a magic wand that makes bad people stop what they're doing and go away and leave you alone. It's a tool that you just might have to use to fight for your life. If that happens you're betting your life and the lives of the people around you on your choice of weapPost too long. This is going well.

I'll try another–shorter this time.

Jeff Cooper is underrated.

You can love or hate the Weaver Stance. You can ridicule his stance on handgun effectiveness and his preference for calibers that begin with a "4," though it was formed long before the advent of modern hollowpoint bullet ammunition. You can despise him for his affection for the 1911A1, even though it was cutting-edge tech early in the last century, when his experiences formed his opinions.

You can't deny, though, that when you take his teachings and training down to base, he is saying:

"Use both hands to shoot. Point-shooting is a way to make noise quickly. Fast aimed fire is the one true viable way to use a handgun past contact distance. Some bullets are better than others so use the best you have access to. Train, so that you will be faster and more accurate than the guy who's trying to kill you."

…this is what everybody, everywhere, is doing today. Do you use a compact red-dot on your carry gun? I presume you're aiming. Are you shooting Isosceles instead of Weaver? You're using both hands. Are you training, instead of being lazy and figuring you're "good enuff?" That's what he said to do. Is your carry gun a Glock 19 with hollowpoints? He felt 9mm was lacking–with the duty ammo that existed in 1940. He didn't like Glock triggers, but nobody's enthusiastic about them and even Glock acknowledged this with the design changes in the Gen 5 to improve the trigger.

All the cool kids hate Jeff Cooper but all the cool kids are following right along with about 85% of what he taught.

Bullets with mild steel jackets are not uncommon, though usually with a very thin copper "flash plating" that protects them from corrosion and acts as a thin-film lubricant as they are forced down the bore. Especially with the Russian export ammo that is sold under so many brand names.

A solid steel bullet would be more difficult, from an engineering perspective. Pressures would run up to extreme, possibly unsafe levels when the bullet reached the rifling if it was not made of a material soft enough for the rifling to engrave. Also, at least in the US, there might be legal problems with "armor piercing ammunition."
