Be careful if you live in a state with red flag laws. You think it can't happen to you but then it does.

As if being granted permission by the benevolent government to exercise your unalienable, constitutionally enumerated rights wasn't hard enough, they still try to take those rights away.

No innocence before being proven guilty. No audience with a judge. No appointed lawyer. No confronting witnesses or even knowing who they(if any) are. No viewing evidence(if any) being used against you.

The argument for infringing on your rights without due process is urgency yet there's no expiration. The burden of proof is on you to prove you're worthy of your unalienable rights. Even if you comply with their unreasonable requests, you can still be denied. There's no accountability.

You're subject to arrest, search of property, and prosecution if you don't comply. The police will come to your place and demand your guns, even if you don't have any. The government has no way of knowing which guns you do or don't own or where they are but they're happy being able to steal from you and harass you in any way they can. They'll scream at you, accuse you of holding out, and threaten you if you don't comply with their bill of attainder. They'll dismantle your toilet, bed, and other furniture looking for your rights.

The next time some sleazy politician tries to tell you they're not after your guns, remember what's happening all over the country. You can be next.

Cops will designate someone to be rude and aggressive and another to be kind and sympathetic. This is called "good cop bad cop". Remember, there's only bad cops. No pro gunner would be a cop because the law is anti gun. The "bad" cop will grab you, shove you, search you, cuff you, and scream. The "good" one will try to tell you that you're not in trouble just as long as you comply. The "good" cop will generally be the one interrogating you. It's a common manipulation tactic.

The cops will try to threaten or coerce you into giving consent to search your property. They'll try screaming at you and holding their hands on their guns to intimidate you. They'll use arguments like that they're guaranteed to get permission from a judge, that you'll get your property back, or that you'll get jail time for not consenting to the search. If they didn't need your consent, they wouldn't ask for it. They won't only search for what's on the paper, they'll look for anything they can, especially drugs. They'll question you on your prescriptions. If you have the key to a safe on your keychain, a cop may hide it or throw it away so that they can accuse you of hiding it and gain more time in your place. Have a code on your phone and make sure nothing is accessible from the home screen.

When you get taken to the police station, you'll probably be interrogated. Nothing you say that it's in your favor will end up on the police report. Anything incriminating will. Words are added to police reports verbatim, with no context. They'll try hard to misinterpret your statements in order to incriminate you. Pay attention to what they say when you ask to speak with counsel. If they respond asymptotically, implying that you will get a lawyer but continuing to ask you questions, they're deceiving you. Ask many times so that you can argue in court that you expected to speak with counsel and were told that you would but were denied. Don't sign a Miranda disclaimer. There's nothing in it for you. It means you're getting arrested. At this time, they'll ask more direct questions like whether or not you did whatever you're being accused of. If you got intimidated and then spent the whole day in the police station answering question, you may not think anything of being instructed to sign a paper and answering more questions. They'll tell you that you woPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

In court:

Most states have something called a "statute of limitations". The idea behind it is that in order for someone to be convicted of a crime, the state must prove that a crime has been committed, that the defendant committed the crime, and that the defendant intended to commit the crime. This is from the point of view of a theoretical "reasonable" person. Statements alone are probably not enough to convict you.

Court meetings are generally "on key". That means that sessions can only be held once per month. If your lawyer has something set, it'll be 2 months. If your lawyer has something set even then, it can be 3 or 4 months. This can be for something that could easily be accomplished the next day. The beginning of a court process is called "discovery". This is when the state provides you with the evidence being used against you. It's also when you request subpoenas. The injustice system will try to trickle as few pieces of evidence at a time as possible in order to extend the amount of time you have to spend there. It could be a several hour one way trip to the nearest courthouse and you usually won't be told whether or not the meeting is cancelled for that day. If you're not dead of old age by the time you have all that evidence, you can get to the part where you submit motions. You can have your lawyer submit motions to squash evidence that was obtained illegally or because you were denied counsel. Hopefully, the charges will be dropped before you get to trial. If you have a trial, expect to pay a lot for a bench trial and even more for a jury trial.

You don't get compensated for traveling to the court, the time you spend out of your job, job rejections, or legal fees. Even if you win, you'll have to pay to get the arrest taken off your record. If you lose, the rules for getting it off your record vary. You may have to wait 5 years. You can sue witnesses for making false statements or your employer for unlawfully firing you or the police for illegally arresting you but civil court is different than criminal court. Not only will you have to hire another lawyer, not a criminal defense lawyer. You don't have the same kind of protections that are in criminal court. There's a weaker burden of proof and illegally gained and coerced evidence can be Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

When you're arrested, even if you're not charged, you'll have it on your record. That can be used to deny you jobs, apartments, or loans. If you have an accusation for a gun charge in an anti gun area, you can have a much harder time finding a job. Employers won't let you use "it's just an accusation and there's no evidence" as an argument. A lot of employers won't hire someone just for being a gun owner. An arrest may coincide with getting fired and having to pay heavy legal fees so you may be in a dire situation in your personal life. You'd be waiting months to get another shred of falsified and exaggerated evidence with no job, financial problems, and being uncertain about your future. You can plea guilty but you may have your gun rights rescinded and your guns destroyed. You can face fines and jail time. If you got caught with a gun collection and tub full of ammo, you may be left with no good options. Even if you win, the persecutor can still file a motion to get your guns destroyed. They can do this just because they feel like it and they have no accountability. That's how much your constitutional right matter. People constantly plea guilty for crimes they didn't commit because they know that fighting the charge is worse, even with a court appointed lawyer.

The injustice system is like a spider's web. It's very hard to get out of it. It's designed that way. Having a record puts you at a disadvantage. When you're getting denied jobs, it's tempting to sell drugs or do other illegal activities. You may end up in even more legal trouble because of the legal trouble you're already in. If someone got you arrested or red flagged out of anger, they may try to snuff you out if they think you're disarmed. You're forced to carry illegally which can have serious consequences if you get caught. Either that or deal with the stress and fear of being disarmed and losing what feels like a body part. The sheer unfairness as well as the trauma of getting arrested and the stress that comes from fighting a legal case and the constant delays along with financial problems and the change in world view can have a bad affect on your psyche. You may find yourself getting very depressed. You may feel like you have no option but to visit a psych because you can't handle your life. That'll only make things a lot worse.

Wake up, kamaraden, you are now the Chancellor of the new German Reich. The Amerikan have left the shores of Europe and the muslim/jews are being deported/killed and the people have united under your leadership.

Now what's your plan to renovate Germany's small and aging military? I propose:

- take out all the AK74 left in East German's warehouse and retool them for 5.56

- take out all the rusty Leopard 1 and upgrade them with modern features in order to have a quick tank fleet

What else do you suggest?

>Those helmet look like stupid ass Star Wars rebel helmets.

I during my time in the Bundeswehr I have worn the Gefechtshelm M92 made of Kevlar, which has a shape similar to the Stahlhelm, I also own a East German M56/74 which I got from an ExBundeswehr soldier, who helped liquidate the equipment of the NVA after the Fall of the Iron curtain. Despite the Inlay of the M56/74 being older and more primitive than the Inlay of the M92, the East German helmet is much nicer to wear and less claustrophobic.

>The germans have discovered the best helmet design and have used it since WW1, stick to it.

The Stahlhelm of WW1 and WW2 was too much in the neck and front area which caused it to be pushed up when the soldiers got into a prone position and reduced sight, this resulted in many soldiers wearing the helmet backwards or cutting the visors off them.

The replacement for the tornado hasn't been announced yet, and von der Leiden didn't "get the boot", she was promoted into an important position in the EU with a salary three to four times higher than her current one.

Her replacement is the woman who was recently voted as leader of Merkel's party. The position she got is known as the ejection seat of politics, because there is barely a politician who got it and managed to retire without a scandal or two.

>she was promoted into an important position in the EU with a salary three to four times higher than her current one.

And that's exactly the only way you can get rid of US shills in EU countries.

You can't actually fire them (let alone prosecute them for "intelligence with a foreign power" AKA treason), the only they can go is up and sideways, outside any actual decision process.

All EU presidents have always been US shills one more isn't hurting anyone (more than usual) and defense are still in hands of national countries and it's a job she couldn't say no to.

Now of course her presidency will focus on removing defense purview from EU nations, but they've been trying for decades and no general anywhere in the EU wants to hear about it, actually elected politicians know it's a terribly unpopular idea and the US generals too as all those cushy jobs in NATO would become largely irrelevant so they're using they're clout to say "EU defense means less NATO cooperation" every opportunity they get.

Again when I'm telling you it's the only smart decision Merkel ever took, I mean it. It's clearly calculated.

By the time the Romans came around, Sparta had already been irrelevant for quite some time. Their demise came from a Greek city state called Thebes.

Two really exceptional people(Pelopidas and Epaminondas) were born in Thebes around the same time, and propelled it to a level of power it had never seen before, or would see since. They formed a group of 300 professional hoplites called the Sacred Band who kicked Sparta's ass so hard that the Spartans would sulk in their little corner of the Peloponnese until they stopped existing.

https://www.thoughtco.com/horatius-at-the-bridge-4070724

Another favorite excerpt of mine from 'Horatius at the Bridge' to go with the webm:

With shield and blade Horatius right deftly turned the blow.

The blow, yet turned, came yet too nigh;

It missed his helm, but gashed his thigh:

The Tuscans raised a joyful cry to see the red blood flow.

He reeled, and on Herminius he leaned one breathing-space;

Then, like a wild-cat mad with wounds, sprang right at Astur's face.

Through teeth, and skull, and helmet so fierce a thrust he sped,

The good sword stood a hand-breadth out behind the Tuscan's head.

And the great Lord of Luna fell at that deadly stroke,

As falls on Mount Alvernus a thunder-smited oak.

Far o'er the crashing forest the giant arms lay spread;

And the pale augurs, muttering low, gaze on the blasted head.

On Astur's throat Horatius right firmly pressed his heel,

And thrice and four times tugged amain, ere he wrenched out the steel.

"And see," he cried, "the welcome, fair guests, that waits you here!

What noble Lucumo comes next to taste our Roman cheer?"

But at his haughty challenge a sullen murmur ran,

Mingled of wrath, and shame, and dread, along that glittering van.

My ummah, dawn has appeared

So await the expected victory

The Islamic State has arisen

By the blood of the righteous

[x2]

[Verse 1]

The Islamic State has arisen

By the jihad of the pious

They have offered their souls

In righteousness, with constancy and conviction

[x2]

So that the religion may be established

In which there is the law of the Lord of the Worlds

[Chorus 2]

My ummah, accept the good news

And don't despair - victory is near

The Islamic State has arisen

And the dreaded might has begun

[x2]

[Verse 2]

It has arisen, tracing out glory

And the period of setting has ended

By faithful men who do not fear warfare

[x2]

They have created eternal glory

That will not perish or disappear

[Chorus 3]

My ummah, God is our Lord

So grant your blood

For victory will not return

Except by the blood of the martyrs

Who have spent their time hoping for the Lord

In the abode of the Prophets

They have offered their souls to God

And for their religion there is self-sacrifice

my first gf was nothing like that, she was bossy but nothing like you described

>going out to California to visit my sister, we're going to Didneylan as well

>gf wants me to bring her back something Stich-related, tell her ok (this was something I actually liked about her, she'd tell you exactly what she wanted, none of this "you decide :)" bullshit)

>while I'm at Yidneyland she texts me saying to send her a picture of what I'm going to get her before I buy it

>mfw

>delete the text and pretend it never came through (I had an oldass phone so I could pull that card)

the last date we went on was a disaster from every angle so that's probably why she broke up with me

but all in all it was good, 7/10 probably

C'mon streloks, even if it's scientifically explained, that shit's still fucking spooky. After all, the word 'nightmare' came from them, since it literally means 'night demon'.

>get visited by Anubis, who peeks into my room from behind my door-curtain, before walking towards my bed.

Even though you weren't there, it assumably wasn't storming since that wasn't mentioned, it materialized indoors, and we know almost nothing about the phenomenon you claim that it was (the supposed behaviour of ball lightning is so variable and has been so sparsely observed, on what basis was it concluded that it's even the same phenomenon?) it was DEFINITELY ball lightning.

IFLSciencefags are pathetic, why not just say she was a drunk who actually saw an owl, you've got about as much basis for that. Literally the only evidence that ball lightning acts like these accounts is "skeptics" hearing about them and saying "that's ball lightning".

Thread to talk about all the recent middle east happenings. Notable things: leaked document from US General to the Iraq Ministry of Defence with thinley veiled threats, (unconfirmed) reports of mass US troop movements towards military bases, an Iranian military leader got killed in an airstrike, among many other things.

Also in other news, apparently Iranians can meme

In an SHTF/Insurgent-type scenario, how effective would it for Insurgents to be travelling through sewage lines to avoid police/military above? I'd imagine that if you're able to map out the sewage lines you can do all sorts of hit-and-run guerrilla shit without anybody noticing your movements. I'd also imagine it'd be hard to track where you've been considering you're trudging through shit and piss the entire time.

No. A sewer in a neighboring city away from the AO might be a good hideaway for a couple weeks at best with the right prep, hazard equipment, and good ventilation, but the problem is that sewers are city networks for waste. Entry points and routes are mapped out and the information would be easily accessible to LE and Military. Not only are your methods of escape already functioning as kill holes, you could probably pinpoint where the best entry/exit points are. If anyone even has an inkling you are hiding down there, its over. You’re fucked. And you’ve got to ask yourself, you want to bite the bullet in a place of rivers of shit, used needles, rats, and other nasty things?

Tunneling worked (questionably.) for the vietcong because noone knew where the fuck they were, and if you did find out, you didn’t really want to see how far that rabbit hole went down pun intended. Pitfalls, punji sticks, secret compartments for soldiers to hide in, tunnels that looped in on themselves. Absolutely no way to map it out or go into it knowing what you were getting into. Tunnel rats will tell you that those things are made specifically to be cruel, ruthless, and effective. However, I said questionably because its not like its easy living in one of those things either, the Vietcong found themselves dealing with intestinal parasites, rats, and just the general fucking depression of living in a hole in the ground that might collapse if GI decides he wants to drop a few HE shells on top of your fucking head.

Overall, I’d have to tell you its an awful idea. The best means of Guerilla Warfare is plainclothes operations. You need to be able to do your dirt and then blend right back in as a civilian. 9/11, the only US mainland attack of that scale since the civil war was done this way. If Vietnam and Afghanistan have taught us anything, you can’t fight an invisible enemy.

>you can’t fight an invisible enemy.

You can't fight the invisible, no. You can do however is remove their invisibility by getting rid of all your moral restrictions. Kill ALL the civilians. Bomb the cities until all that remains is bricks. Then bomb the bricks down to ashes. Shoot civilian cars until they loo like swiss cheese. Burn every forest and bomb every cave entrance. Pollute every single river and lake with horrible dangerous chemicals. Anyone who doesn't wear your uniform is to be considered an enemy and be killed on sight.

You're god damn America. Literally who on this planet could ever stop you from committing muh war crimes? You're the ones who are supposed to enforce them in the first place. The moment you stop caring about some pussy laws is the moment you can fight whoever the hell you want using whatever means you want. Who's going to stop you, the pussy european armies on low manpower, 0 combat experience and who have sold 70% of their weapons to shitskins? Russia will cross the ocean and land on your beaches? Or will the chink bugmen dare become enemies with the country that provides them with >80% of their iron ore needs because without it their factories can't operate?

I used the underground system extensively in the past.

As an initial response to a curfew or martial law its a great strategy.

Also a decent place to cache supplies, but they will be found by maintainance

Don't expect to go anywhere fast, if you're detected going in there's really nowhere in a tunnel to hide.

There's more down there than you might imagine.

Sewer systems, water systems, IT infrastructure, maintainance areas for underground heating or power systems

Dangers depend on how modern your system is.

Downing, falls, bad air are common.

Floods, noxious substances, animals, homeless, syringes, getting lost all reasonably possible.

Motion sensors, electrical hazzards, poison gas may be encountered occasionally.

I would use a storm water drain to move overnight to a cache site, or a staging ground where you can create a diversion

That is what happens when you go with endless preparation without real action.

Nobody has to be optimal. For the most part, there is no time to be optimal.

If you have the means, mass kill a bunch of the braindead masses and jews where you live. Every single kill counts and helps in pushing for more violence. The jews can't control the masses when the majority is openly firing against them and the pacified subhumans.

Even though both Russia and China have a plethora of mineral resources and rare metals at their disposal they seem to lag behind the west (even the UK) at least two and three decades respectively in jet engine technology when Russia had even surpassed the West in certain aeronautic technology areas in the previous decades. In the case of China I can see the reason why (pic related) and it's easy to see why the West is so ahead in terms of avionics/electronics given its commercial colossi in even civil applications but in terms of material science it's seemingly inexcusable for the owners of the Siberian treasurebeds and successor of USSR, the largest heavy industrial power in history to be so easily surpassed by even dependent eurocuck vassals of America.

Let's discuss what went wrong and why it was everything.

Was the Schlieffenplan a conceptual mistake?

Would a defensive stance against the French in Elsass-Lothringen coupled with Prussian maneuver warfare autism against the Russian Empire in the east have been a better plan, especially considering the eternal Anglo wouldn't have immediately closed all the shipping lanes with Belgium being uninvolved?

And if the Central Powers managed to somehow win, wouldn't (((they))) be apt to choose Germany as their primary European base of Operations for enacting their subversive master plans?

The German Empire did harbor plenty of Juden at the time.

>you need to consider what actually is a strategic area in modern times

Ports, factories and, of course, cities.

>If you tried doing that with, say, New York, you'd ruin what makes the city a strategic point in the first place

New York, just like most western cities, has disgusting modern nu-architecture. Blowing it up would be a good thing. The only thing that makes cities strategic is their ability to protect your troops in underground basements and slaughter the enemy if he dares enter. Wealth has nothing to do with it.

>Was the Schlieffenplan a conceptual mistake?

Calling the Schlieffenplan a mistake is just English propaganda that is repeated because the UK is still butthurt over the effect it had on them. It didn't help Germany win the Western Front, but it was a huge political success for the German Empire and made war easier for them. There was only one true way for France or Germany to attack each other and that was through the Low Countries, because all the other paths have mountains in the way. Historically the Low Countries were always the battlefield between armys that moved between west and central Europe. Belgium claimed to be neutral, but its geopolitical situation made it an ally of Great Britain, for both a French victory would be as bad as a German victory. German military planners knew that, they also knew of a secret treaty between Great Britian and France against Germany. So there was a threat of an French attack through Belgium against Germany, with limited hidden support by Belgium and Great Britian. It is also important to notice that historically neutrality in Europe allows for the passage of troops through the neutral country. By attacking France through Belgium, the German Empire would be provocative in terms of real politic, but officially they would not violate Belgian neutrality if they don't attack the Belgians directly.

So from a German point of view the Schlieffenplan could either go as planned and they have to deal with Great Britian and Belgium after they have defeated France, which would be a problem because the Belgians and British could cut off the supply to German troops inside France or it would force Great Britian and Belgium to make their hostility to Germany public. This would force their armies into an open land battle with the German Army, which the German military planners saw as possible and they almost did it before the USA intervened. Either way win win for Germany.

Meanwhile for the British the Schlieffenplan forced them to decide to either tolerate German supremacy over continental Europe or throw their army, which predominantly existed of expeditionary forces, into the meat grinder with the land army of a major continental power. Traditional walled forts are obsolete, but something like a modern-day Maginot Line would probably be really effective if the terrain allows for it. If nothing else they'd slow down the enemy's initial advance by a few days, which gives the defenders some much-needed time to prepare.

You are forgetting the type of conflict we are talking about. If modern, western cities come under attack by an organized military force, then we must assume that a major war is taking place, thus eliminating any economic prowess of a city in a flash.

Also, there are a lot more things of strategic value than cities, like major road/rail-lines, power plants, dams, manufacturing plants, oil refineries or oil fields, just to name a few at the top of my head.

I am not saying a fortress would have to be city sized, but that Grozny could be an example of a modern interpretation of a fortress.

If you re-read my post, I recommended something like the Maginot line on steroids, maybe twice its depth which would make any country doing that look like even more of a chump than the French with their OG one.

I was also explicitly stating that one would not need to fortify a city like Vauban, but rather use the existing city itself, like Mogadishu or Grozny.

I get the distinct impression you are willfully misreading my post to make your own point.

Come on, mang.

Weird. When logged in as vol I can see everyone's flags. When I'm just browsing as a user the flags are invisible. Either it's a bug, or somehow flags were turned off. I can't check for sure though because vols can't change board settings, and codenigger isn't replying to my emails either.

A very merry Christmas to you, /k/, from /co/!

We had some strong disagreements on how heavily we should reference this year's troubles, so we got two cards.
