Let's discuss all things falling-block, from pistols to cannons.

With that said, I've realized that I want to see a gas-operated, belt-fed, striker-fired, bullpup Madsen. Hear me out:

>gas-operated

Imagine an operating rod that has all the camways and whatnot required for the action. Now the receiver is much simpler, and the barrel is fixed. I imagine the action would have good repeatability, because there is not much to go wrong.

>belt-fed

A Hotchkiss-style feed system would go hand-in-hand with the way this gun loads new cartridges. Make it out of aluminium and it's not even heavy.

>striker-fired

If you have an operating rod anyway, then just fix a firing pin on it, and then you just only need a very simple trigger system, as the Lewis gun and the FG-42 demonstrated.

>bullpup

With a bolt that only moves vertically you could make a really short bullpup rifle. It ejects downward, therefore you don't have to worry about left-handed people. And the striker-fire system works great with bullpups, because you don't need a linkage.

>Those functions aren't just magically there, the extractor is at the very least a piece of metal pushed by a spring and kept in place with a pin

Bitch i know that!

>Belt box hybrid

Sounds interesting but i see no real use for a belt feed in a rifle.

Also i've seen you Hungarians around for a while now, is one of you actually going to design and possibly build one of these bullpups you talk about or are just just here to shit out your autistic ideas?

Sounds like you're trying to remake that wild Koborob design, but with a Hotchkiss style feeding system.

I have thought of a similar idea years ago.

However I came from a recoil mitigation, inherent part strength, and unjammability* standpoint that lead me to look at the Madsen (mostly because of the falling block) as a possibility, though I ultimately moved onto the Whitney-Kennedy action.

Here's a video of the Madsen I quite like.

*Pretty much if it can't handle having a Karo syrup and sand mixture poured directly into the action it's a shit design in my book.

Yet simply counting the required parts seems to be beyond you.

>Sounds interesting but i see no real use for a belt feed in a rifle.

First of all, nowhere I've said anything about a rifle. Second, a belt-fed system can be superior to a box magazine even in a rifle.

>Also i've seen you Hungarians around for a while now, is one of you actually going to design and possibly build one of these bullpups you talk about or are just just here to shit out your autistic ideas?

Are you asking the same thing in every thread where people discuss ideas?

>>686372

Not exactly, but now that you mention it, the Korobov does seem to be simpler. It just needs an extractor that somehow erects the spent casing, and then goes back to vertical to snap on the rim of the new cartridge. And there are several ways to do make that work.

>>686400

>the Whitney-Kennedy action

It does seem to be better than any of the Winchesters, but it doesn't seem to be particularly suited for self-loading firearms.

For the last time there was no fleeing. People migrated for jobs and better living conditions such as welfare and health care, many of them were invited into the west or shangheied (operation paperclip). To confuse fucking refugees with migrants this hard is to say that alboniggers deserve to live in germany because theyre 'fleeing'.

I'm always been fascinated by the work behind supplying men with guns, food, and assorted kit although I've never explored the question of comfort women in any great detail. In ye olden days, medieval times and such, it seems pretty common that once you conquered a village or town you were free to rape and kill as you pleased.

Gradually, society civilized but the underlying animalistic urges remained. I've read about brothels and comfort houses during times of war in the 1900's but I'd be curious to read personal accounts on such places. I'd be keenly interested in accounts from the U.S. Occupation of Japan post WW2 where you had 350,000 men stationed at the end of 1945 and upwards of 60 to 70k Japanese prostitutes servicing them.

In the modern era what is the expectation of pussy availability for troops abroad? How has it changed since the industrial age?

>muh moralizing

I don't think anyone is saying Nips were bad at logistics of pussy allocation during the wartime economy. I think the point is you can't just round up women like back then and put them into service the same way the Nips did.

I would be interested in learning about how women were divided up, valued, and distributed among the troops. I have lots of questions in that regard.

>after x amount of dicks were they given a stipend or some form of support if their vagina looked like a bruised Arby's melt?

>Were comfort women made airtight to service more servicemen more efficiently in times of high demand and low supply?

>How did the government-subsidized pussy affect the local civilian market for their prostitutes?

My biggest question is, where is the pussy ledger? There had to be some guy crunching the numbers on this somewhere. I want to see those figures.

You've spent the entire time arguing the wrong points, and then using comparisons that are patently wrong. Then you go on to imply your grade school knowledge of how metalurgy works somehow makes you superior to anyone who has basic understanding of how tools are crafted.

Sure, by all means tell me where I should go. I totally said nothing when I explained to you how a tool is designed to overpower kintetic forces at work, and to not yield in this process. Is there kintetic energy still delivered back towards the user? Sure, but trust me, it's negligible, not at all as bad as the shit that happens past the flail portion of the video. That mace was crafted to either be soft on the target, or was designed poorly. I don't fucking care if you want to argue how a bullet that's usually specifically designed to expand inside a target shouldn't (hardcast lead, anyone?) or how microns of flex are bound to happen because of the properties of metal (again, you shouldn't see THIS MUCH FLEX in a fucking mace handle: it's not designed to absorb shock from the wielder typically) or how a sword which is specifically designed with three separate portions of steel (tang and base of sword being the hardest, then a milder form of steel in the middle of the blade, and a softer steel at near the tip to give it that spring you commented on) because surprise surprise: a fucking sword isn't a goddamn mace in use. You don't want an arming sword to be super hard, you'll break it on contact with armor, because the blade is too thin and long to support that rigid of a structure when receiving that much kinetic energy on something that hard.

Keep in mind, I was more than happy to have a reasonable discussion about this mace's properties, but you had to come in tard it up with your half cocked "I googled some random information about metal, and now I'm a fucking expert on the subject". My pulaski doesn't fucking yield to the dirt it hits, it doesnt yield to the roots I chop. My scythe doesn't bend to the grass and wheat I cut, my hammer doesn't bend to the nail I hit…they overpower their obstacles, and then ever so slightly transfer some energy back to me. This isn't visible by a fucking go pro, and it's certainly doesn't look like a launchePost too long. Click here to view the full text.

It's mild, untempered steel for the mace shaft. It's a historical reproduction, so they didn't harden it because that wasn't a thing back in antiquity. The shaft is also hollow and already bent as mentioned in a previous video, so it's gonna have even more flex than normal.

One of the things the Hungarian military does well is organizing military themed summer camps for kids to increase the number of young people who have an interest in military affairs. Most kids fucking love it. A lot of them ask their parents to sign them up next year as well, because - as it turns out - being outdoors, wearing camo and learning about weapons is fun. Much to the surprise and dismay of Hungary's small, but vocal 'progressive' segment, who see the military as an antiquated institution that has no place in this world and who would rather send the kids to a LGBT tolerance camp

Would you send your spawn to Hungarian Army Summer Camp? Imagedump is a-go.

Actual fucking grain. Like a medieval peasant. Money would also have been acceptable though. I'll ask Grandma further next time I visit her. Anyway, when she was 17 in 1949, she made a remark that she doesn't give a shit about celebrating Stalin's 70th birthday and another young girl (a cousin of her suitor who later became my maternal Grandpa) was enough of a zealous activist to report this to the proper authorities. Fortunately the local prosecutor had enough common human decency to realize that he didn't study law to get young people into prison for meaningless bullshit and Grandma was acquited.

Said cousin died a nobody, the party never acknowledged her zeal.

This a bread to discuss silly alt-history scenarios that would be nigh impossible from a physics standpoint but could still be fun to shitpost about for their sheer absurdity.

Anyhow I've been wondering how WW2 could've turned out if Thule society memesters had used ancient Annunaki magicks to open a 3x3m Stargate between Königsberg and Hsinking by pure luck just prior to the fall of France, allowing for the instantaneous transfer of men and materiel between Japan and Germany over a distance of some seven thousand kilometers.

How deeply would the German and Japanese militaries have cooperated in such an event?

At the minimum I can see the Nips abandon their plans to attack burgers in the Pacific assuming Nippon still gets sanctioned in favor of creating german-trained Tank battalions equipped with license-built Pz. IIIs for the purpose of doing a joint Barbarossa.

Ideally the Luftwaffe and IJN/IJAAS would conduct joint trials and arrange for Japanese aircraft to escort german bombers deep over British territory during the BoB, leading to Nips abandoning their turn fighter autism in favor of cannon-armed high speed energy fighters.

The Kriegsmarine could speed up construction on the Graf Zeppelin and train its crew on Japanese carriers in Asia while the Nips would get german aero engines amid a host of german aircraft designs to directly compare against their own.

Germans could import centimetric Radar from Nips while in turn fixing Japan's crappy AEW doctrine, Nips could sell Type 91 torpedoes to Germans in return for the J1N and Ki-45 getting FuG radar equipment and so on Mussolini would hopefully be too distracted by all the autism to invade Greece.

If word got out to the Allies would they try and stage a joint UK/US/USSR/Free French assault on East Prussia ASAP?

Would Burgers attack Nips preemptively in the Pacific and would Chinese civilians in Nip-conquered areas be less inclined to turn to Mao and other allied scum if the local japanese rape administration were swapped with friendly germans?

Germany wouldn't need to expend ever-needed resources on some faraway desert clusterfuck without getting anything in return, one of the reasons Stalingrad went as badly for the Wehrmacht as it did was the Luftwaffe not having enough transport aircraft to properly supply both Stalingrad and El Alamein.

Having control of the mediterranean on the other hand would create a fuckhueg safe haven for both Italian and German Industries and Navies, they could build all the aircraft carriers they'd want and ship all the oil and metal from NA and the middle east to their home industry with the biggest threat being the occasional raid from an allied sub that managed to slip through the Gibraltar strait.

It doesn't have a high tensile strength, only compressive. That means if you drew out a long stick of it, it would be easily bent or broken. This means it couldn't serve as an anchor for muscles… Calcium crystals are better at that.

The only attribute UHMWPE has over steel is abrasion resistance and lighter weight. The material is not nearly as impressive as you seem to think it is. UHMWPE is soft, almost like a PE that has been impregnated with soap. That’s why it has great impact and abrasion resistance. But it isn’t a structural material. Dimensional stability, hardness, toughness, etc don’t compare to metals in any way. And it’s not optically clear either. Its best use case is for cladding on ruggedized consumer products. If you want a real structural polymer to make machine components out of, you need glass-reinforced thermosets.

Has anyone heard of this before?

>According to witnesses and those who investigated the case, just a few minutes prior, Officer Duggan was taking a right hand turn from Winter Street onto Lowell St. A car being driven by William Rodriguez of Lowell nearly hit him, continuing toward Broadway and finally came to a stop at a red light at the next corner.

>Officer Tom Duggan, Sr. was on his way to court that afternoon and in civilian clothes. He was driving his own car when he pulled up behind Rodriguez and his girlfriend Doris Ortiz of Lawrence.

>Witnesses said Duggan got out of his car, identified himself as a police officer as he approached them, but before he could say anything more, Ortiz jumped out of the passengers side of the car and advanced on him, hitting and pushing him in the middle of Lowell Street.

>Within seconds, Rodriguez also jumped out of the car brandishing a metal softball bat. He advanced on Officer Duggan slapping the bat in his hand over and over.

>Because it was broad daylight, and on a busy downtown street where kids were walking home from school, and pedestrians were walking close by, Officer Duggan pulled out his gun and ordered Rodriguez to put down the bat while he backed up into a the vacant lot.

>Duggan matched every advancing step by the perpetrators with a step back, luring them away from from innocent bystanders and into the vacant lot in case he had to shoot his weapon.

>But as Duggan reached the edge of the lot, Ortiz jumped on him, grabbed at the gun, and held his hands, just long enough for Rodriguez to beat him in the head with the bat. As Rodriguez came down with the first blow to Duggan’s head, he fired his weapon, but the bullet only grazed the neck of Ortiz while Rodriguez began beating him repeatedly. Police would later learn that Duggan tried to fire again but his gun had jammed.

South Korea says its jets fired warning shots at a Russian surveillance plane that entered its airspace on Tuesday.

>Officials said the plane twice violated the airspace over the disputed Dokdo/Takeshima islands, which are occupied by South Korea but also claimed by Japan. South Korea's ministry of defence said it scrambled fighter jets in response and fired 360 machine-gun rounds.

>Russia has denied violating the country's airspace. Moscow said two of its bombers carried out a planned drill over "neutral waters" and denied any warning shots were fired by South Korean jets. But Japan then confirmed its military had also deployed fighter jets in response to the Russian incursion. Russia later said it had been conducting its first joint long-range air patrol in the region with China, according to Reuters news agency.

>This is the first incident of its kind between Russia and South Korea.

>South Korea's military said that in total three Russian and two Chinese military aircraft entered the Korea Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) on Tuesday morning. It said this group was made up of two Russian Tu-95 bombers, one Russian A-50 surveillance plane and two Chinese H-6 bombers. Russian and Chinese bombers and reconnaissance planes have occasionally entered the zone in recent years.

>South Korea said one of the Russian planes - the A-50 - flew beyond the KADIZ and entered the country's territorial airspace at around 09:00 local time (00:00 GMT). South Korean F-15 and F-16 planes were deployed to intercept it.

>The military said it fired 10 flares and 80 machine-gun rounds during the alleged first violation. It said the Russian plane then left before circling back round again, when it was met by 10 more South Korean flares and 280 machine-gun rounds.

>In its statement, Russia only mentioned two bomber planes. It did not specifically acknowledge the accusation that it had also sent an A-50 that violated South Korean airspace. Japan meanwhile has protested against both Russia anPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

The reason why superglue is good is because it works fast and it's more or less sterile. This makes it good for emergency dressings.

But yes, it will leave massive scarring and the wound won't heal right until you go to a hospital and have a doctor re-open and stitch it correctly.

Disclaimer: this post and the subject matter and contents thereof - text, media, or otherwise - do not necessarily reflect the views of the 8kun administration.

256032  No.685161

>>685038

Honestly, there isn't such issues with offgassing or scarring, the leaf is a fucking imbecile and knows literally nothing. The main issue with superglue is most injuries need to be disinfected, and usually for bigger ones, need to be cleaned out somewhat regularly (which your body naturally does, so it's not needed to reopen and reclean unless it becomes infected). As >>685044 points out, superglueing a wound means you can't reaccess it without removing the glue. You're also blocking the surrounding area from receiving oxygen, which will cause the surrounding area to die, and is a great way to promote bacterial growth ie: isn't very sterile.

What I recommend to anyone who plans on backpacking or going innawoods, is to get a small botte of providone iodine, and keep it in a medical pack. iodine can be used to disinfect when diluted in clean clear water, can be used for dressing wounds, as it's a germicide in a 10% concentration, and can be used to purify drinking water (one drop per quart of clear water, 10 drops for cloudy water according to my bottle).

Pair the iodine up with a small syringe to flush any deep wounds out with. You'll have to flush it multiple times to ensure it's been properly disinfected, and make sure you check the wound cavity for any foreign objects and remove them with tweezers. Most of the time a bandaid or gauze pad is recommended for cuts. Superglue really only shines when your cut is smaller, and in an area without much flexion. It's handy, but really only in a way that allows you to save your better first aid supplies for more serious injuries. It also peels off easy enough in a few hours after applying, so it's not like it's necessarily hard to remove once it's on.

Stitching is pretty easy to learn, and something I recommend if you plan on being a woodsman. Fishing line and a needle take up no space, and can be used for multiple things. Just make sure you disinfect them first if doing sutures.
