Hey

I'm in Morocco and I want to get a shotgun for hunting. I know the process is strict here but I want to make sure I got everything right before I start the paperwork.

From what I gathered, I need:

Clean criminal record

Psych eval certificate

Hunting association membership

Down payment (3000 MAD) at a licensed armorer to get a purchase receipt

Then submit the full dossier to the local district office

Wait for police investigation

Then finally buy the shotgun and get the biometric license card

Questions for anyone who knows:

How long does the whole process actually take in practice?

Any specific brands/models of shotguns that are easily available in Moroccan armories? (I heard only smoothbore is allowed, no rifled barrels)

Are there any hidden costs I should know about besides the permit (1500 MAD/year) and the gun itself?

What's the max magazine capacity allowed?

Any tips to make the police investigation go smoother?
