Newport is a vicious city. People say that someone can live here their entire lives and never even scratch the surface of what really goes on. Drug deals and shootouts are the obvious things, but there are entire meth labs, factories full of slaves working day and night for factions that are no more corrupt than the politicians letting them keep the property. These gangs and groups are nearly all powerful, they do what they want to who they want when they want, and almost no-one questions them.
You play as gang members fighting for control over the dangerous and diverse streets of Newport. From the loud and foul-smelling slums to the high-rises full of scummy lawyers. You come from all areas of life, but one constant is that you fell upon hard times. The economy is in serious recession and you can see it everywhere. Concealed carry permits are given out almost free, as walking alone without one is almost suicide. This is the dangerous world you live in, and your about to take advantage of it for all it's worth.

>Name: Tom Goodman
>Fluff:
Tom, previously known under a different name, was part of an extensive mob back in his home country. Not one of the biggest guys but no small fry either he had earned himself a nice vacation in the city of Newport nearly twenty years ago when he received the call. Everyone had been busted. The cops had shut down the entire thing, someone had talked or they had been tracking everyone, Tom would never know, but there was an arrest warrant for him as well.
With nothing to go back to but jail he decided to stay, building up an existence in Newport over the years, he worked hard in his area of expertise and became known as a serious and honest businessman. With a marriage slowly loosing it's love, a rebellious daughter and a son wishing to take a career in law enforcement he finds himself faced with a number of issues he would rather not have to address.
Tom's business is not drug dealing or gun running. It's power projection. They say money is power, but what good is money if you have no connections? Rich people from all over the city provide the money and Tom ensures that they feel powerful. While he has a number of trustworthy men at his disposal he often relays contracts to other criminals and takes his own mediation fee.
However he does not intend to remain the middleman. While for now his men are not capable of much more than violence Tom is looking to branch out and provide his customers with the thing every true rich man wants. A personal deathsquad of the absolute badass variety.
>Basic Physical Description: Pic Related
>Relation with Gangs: Middleman for rich people contracts
>Preferred Weapon: Hands (or Switchblade if hands is not viable)
>Business: Power Projection / Middleman
Physical Toughness (8), Mental Toughness (8)
Inventory- Tom is set up well in Newport. He has a family (albeit not a very happy one), and a large group of connections to the rich. He has around 20,000 saved up that isn't being spent on hiring gangsters and keeping authorities quiet. He also has connections to many mercs and assassins across the city, including Faith.
Skills- Diplomacy+10, Intimidation +20, +5 unarmed.
Weapons- Switchblade, silenced 9mm
Bonuses/Detractors- The Godfather (Others feel respected when he does business with them, +10 to negotiation when talking to another leader) Family man (for every two people under his control, he gains a +1 to all rolls) Ambitious (never stops working, if he's forced into a position he feels isn't living up to his potential he gains a -5 to all rolls until he fixes the problem…)
1-2. Tom would have offered the lawyer a drink, however he had brought nothing in favor of ice cream. A cool head was superior to a drunken fool after all.
"My name is Goodman. But if you prefer you may also call me Tom.", his English was perfect and any accent had been evened out by decades of experience, "Waffle or cup?".
Tom would then serve the Lawyer whatever it was that he would ask for. "I would explain more, however I'm afraid this is far from everyone and I would like to refrain from repeating myself all too often if it can be avoided.".
The old mobster could not get around the lawyers pleasant demeanor and suit, obviously he was used to interacting with members of the high class. One of the many reasons he had been chosen. "Rest assured however that I have no intention to ambush or screw you over in any way and that you may leave at any time you wish to do so.", he made a short pause, "Though I have to say, you are remarkably relaxed.".

Cup please. As to me being relaxed? The people outside are clearly muscle, meaning your calling all of us in for a job. Meaning I am fairly safe unless I refuse your offer or someone else starts shooting. Since it's me you and him it's fine for now. So what's the job? I can think off 3 possibilities, You ned us for a one off mission, and want me to provide legal assistance and distraction as necessary. Two same thing as one but you're the middle man for someone with lots of money, but no expertise. Three you're starting up your own gang and want be to be the group's lawyer. Since you've no doubt done your homework on my you know I can't afford to say no.

>Name: Jackie-Z (Jackson Zuangshi)
>Fluff: Jackie never amounted to much. Shitty at school. shitty at jobs, the only thing he really seemed good at was smoking and playing hooky - and a surprising level of talent for martial arts. Adopted from the streets at a young age and raised by an aging Sensei, the half of his life not spent fucking off was spent in brutal training, memorizing regimes and pushing his body to it's very limits. Jackie hated it, and how good he was at it, but did develop a strong relationship with his master. That is, until he came back one day at age sixteen covered in blood and absolutely, entirely terrified. He was cast out in disgust, sent to find his own path and forbidden to return. Jackie decided he'd have to make it up to his master, any way he could, and maybe the only way he knew how. Now a member of a street gang, Jackie's still not entirely sure what his next move is gonna be.

"Listen kid, I'm being real patient with you but if you don't shut your fucking mouth we're all going to have a problem. Let's just say if we do everything right it'll be in the triple digits for all of us." He quietly adds under his breath "Hopefully"

"Anyways, I'll get down to brass tax"
He steps from behind the counter and begins to speak; "so we have many ways to continue from here, I've already explained that we can either be a for-hire group or a gang. I already have some jobs that might interest you all. There's a classic bank job for the Russians, we get a 10% cut. That'll probably land us around one million. The Wise Guys also contacted me about a pretty heavy hit, they want the Chinese out of the drugs business. The Chinese have a factory downtown full of their slaves constantly working on whatever they cook down there and the Italians want it gone. I think they promised around one and a half million for it. But of course, we could always just decide to work for ourselves. It's up to you. I'll warn you all one more time though, we work for ourselves we become a target, and that means danger for everyone involved. Especially if you have your own affiliations. Think it over."

"Meh we can work for ourselves when we don't have to meat in an ice cream and tetanus shop. I'll cast a vote for bank heist."

Well, as resident Attorney here, Unless you expect me to actually take part in theses Theoretical "Heists" or in the gang proper, I will wait outside. After all I can't perjure myself or anyone else if I'm not directly involved. Which gives me a much better chance of actually being helpful. Just tell me when and where you need me and what you want me to do.

"Actually, you could be very helpful. Before we go any further I need to ask you a question that should be pretty damn easy. Can you talk your way or lie your way out of situations effectively?"

I like the bank job. The other jobs sound noisy, we'll have to be quiet for a bank heist unless we want to bring the entire police force on our heads.

Bank job feels to public to me, people might recognize my guns. I like the thought of busting up some Chink's drug operation.

Dude. You aren't handcrafting those things are you? Because otherwise no one is going to tell if they were sold from your gun shop or any other. Hell, I doubt the bank tellers are going to be able to tell the differences between the various brands and makes beyond OH GOD THEY HAVE GUNS!

Either way, I'm down for anything y'all wanna do."

"This is a whole lot of shit to take in at once, like, what the hell, man. This is the weirdest-ass crew I've ever seen for anything like that, and I'm perfectly happy in the Yellow Jackets right now. Unless, I mean, you're talking a million each…."

"Well, not yet. Trust me though, this is much better than slinging weed on some street corner. You could get shot any second out there over a few hundred bucks, why not take the risk of getting shot for a hell of a lot more?"

Jackie looks around at everyone else to see what they're doing, then sighs in resignation. "Whatever, dog. If it pays out, sure."

He looks around the room one last time.
"Well then, glad to see that all of you decided to stay. The bank is off of Fourth and Main, simple three counter underground vault system. Estimated a few mil inside at least. Security isn't exactly lax but that's why we have Q. I'll let you all do the scouting and what not. If you need me, here's my number."
He hands each of you a small business card with a 12 digit number on it
"When and if you complete the job, bring the cash here and we'll deal with shares or what not, the russians have also previously stated that they would provide support if needed"

1.2. My job will be to find us the best route in and out of the bank with a minimum amount of fuss. So lets gets to that. Buddy up with Q to see if she can get me blueprints of the place as well as camera placements and the like, then I'll go scout it out personally. Gotta keep in mind I'm escorting a bunch of walkers of course so the route I pick has to be low on the amount of freerunning it takes.
>Name : Faith Sinclair
>Fluff : Faith is a Runner, part of a small group of people who uses the tight-knit buildings crammed together to traverse the city by rooftops. She and her partners offer their services to get messages and small goods where-ever they are wanted, without getting noticed by the police or the gangs. Faith herself is the best of the best at Running, able to get into places no one else can, and out again safely. Often with no one besides the person she was delivering too the wiser. Which explains how she got into this particular mess. A big shot of the Deep Crows has told her to kill a guy in a place his regular goons couldn't reach. He offered a lot of money. And she took it.
>Basic Physical Description : Black skin, short black hair and dark brown, almost black eyes. Very pretty if you look past the grime and dirt with a runners build, all sleek lines and gentle curves.
>Relation to any gangs within the city : Messenger, and now Assassin.
>Preferred weapon: Knives, Quiet is the name of the game.
>Business : Runner
