Like the name suggests, this a board for board-tans, anthropomorphic personifications of the various boards here on 8chan.
Minor rules:
- Please keep content restricted to 8chan tans. No 4chan or other imageboard related tans. Board-tan related expanded cast may be discussed, but should not be the focus.
- One thread per board. If a board's tan(s) has less than 10 images, keep them in the General thread. If a board has multiple tans, they go in the same thread.
- This is a blue board. NSFW images are allowed, but must be spoilered.
- The primary aim of this board is tan archival and discussion, but please refrain from designing other boards' tans here. Tan design must be left up to the community itself, not a bunch of tan-autistic outsiders.

New year, new site, new mascots! This is the thread for our site-tans.
We are aware that many more designs were proposed for the site's mascot than the ones discussed below, but this thread will limit itself to those who had a noticeable measure of popularity and subsequent staying power.

The character "Bonzi-tan" mentioned in this thread is sometimes depicted with swastikas in her design. Where visible, these have been censored in order to protect the anons of less freedom-oriented nations. Please understand.
Drawthread-tans
A thread for the figures of the drawthreads.
The drawthread-tans are not board-tans themselves, but frequent the same circles, and can as such be seen as expanded cast. However, while they are most closely associated with /v/, they can appear on any board that allows for drawthreads. So, since they do not clearly belong to a single board, these characters will exceptionally be given a thread of their own.

I don't know who you are, Board owner, but i'm so glad to see you're keeping something going on in here. I dunno if an archival thing is all that great an idea, given codemonkey's shoddy abillity, but keep on keeping on.
