Kuruminha is a young native Brazilian of the Tupi people. She has brown skin, long straight black hair, and brown eyes. Her face is painted with a red eye mask and in her hair she wears two leaves, one green and one yellow to reference the basic colours of the Brazilian flag. Like others of her tribe, Kuruminha usually goes around almost naked, with only a loincloth to give her some measure of privacy.
Her name supposedly is derived from the Brazilian-Portuguese slang word "kurumim", which refers to indigenous children in general - the Brazilian anons simply added the feminine suffix -a and made some required consonant shifts to make the name work in Portuguese - but since the slang word was in turn adopted from a Tupian language, in which it means "boy", some see it as proof that Kuruminha is in fact a trap. This theory is far from popular, however.
