In the summer of 2016, an anon revealed to /monster/ that for most of his life he'd been worshipping a goddess he'd imagined, only to find out a few weeks prior that an identical goddess down to the name had already existed and been worshipped by others millenia ago. That goddess was Reitia. Many of her traits he described to /monster/ appealed to them, and after not only he revealed himself to be a drawfag and drew fanart of her, but it was also found out that Reitia's "key" sigil was sometimes depicted inside an infinity symbol, /monster/ decided to adopt her as a friend for Ammit-chan.
In her classic design, Reitia was depicted as a blue-eyed caucasian woman with extremely long blue hair worn in a giant braid. She wore a blue cape, a red dress with embroideries at the bottom and an apron, and was heavily adorned with jewelry: extravagant earrings, several necklaces, and bracelets and a detailed waistband that are probably bronze (a metal her people, the Venetics, heavily traded in). Finally, she had blue boots. Most of her design has been kept, but /monster/ did make some changes. Most notably, she's been made into a monstergirl. Because Reitia had apparently been affiliated with wolves and ducks, she's been given wolf ears instead of regular human ears, and duck wings now sprout out of her back. She's ditched the cape, her earrings have been replaced with little stylised metal wings now peeking outside her hair on the side, and she doesn't wear necklaces anymore, or at least she wears simpler ones. She has however taken to showing a bit of cleavage in contrast with her more modest original dress.
According to what little folklore on her survived, Reitia was a goddess of love, healing, and writing. Due to that last one, /monster/ has declared her a patron deity of writefags, who are in high demand and popularity on the board. /monster/ also delved deep into academic research and found information suggesting she might be (linked to) the pre-Ancient Greeks goddess Orthia (also known as "She-Who-Causes-Erections", "She-Who-Safely-Rears-Children-After-Birth", and "She-Who-Heals-the-Sick"), the Greek Titan Rhea (mother to the Greek god pantheon), and even a sort of pan-European Mother of Gods, all of which has led /monster/ to ascribe a motherly character to her. As far as the rest of her personality goes she's considered a fairly generic waifu character due to her other fields of interest and her epithets - Śahnate, the Healer, and Pora, the good and kind (as a possibly pre-Greek gods goddess, it's been jokingly suggested she might even be the "Waifu Prime"). The "love" part also has people speculating she probably approves of Ammit-chan's mission and tries to help it along, because ultimately she's not pursuing romance for herself and would in fact be disappointed if anons expressed an attraction to her. Due to this, /monster/ has requested its userbase to not make lewds of her.
