/tan/ - Board-tans

/fem/-tan is a brown (biracial according to the artist, although no ethnicities have been specified) woman somewhere in her early twenties. She has long black hair and brown eyes. Her ears are pierced with earrings in the shape of pink 8chan infinity logos. Usually she wears a purple shoulderless sweater. Lower body clothing isn't set in stone, but she seems to prefer black form-fitting pants. The only type of footwear /fem/-tan's ever been seen with are white and purple socks.

/fem/-tan's got a lot of self-confidence and a sassy attitude. She enjoys teasing the beta males who frequent 8chan, although it's not mean-spirited but meant in jest. Despite being a woman of colour, /fem/-tan has a great dislike of SJW, especially because of how they encourage women to act as eternal victims instead of teaching them to toughen up. Putting her money where her mouth is, she also doesn't take shit from men berating her, telling them "dicks or GTFO" in a clear fashion. As long as she's not provoked she can be perfectly reasonable, however.

Originally, /fem/-tan started out as an avatar for one of the board's drawfags who kept doodling her to train her drawing speed. Since she kept popping up and no one could agree on another "official" design for the board-tan, she won by default. Avatar!/fem/-tan appears to be kinder than the board-tan equivalent, but their personalities probably aren't that different since the latter's is derived from the former's. Presumably /fem/-tan is just a caricaturised version. Aside from that, the two can be distinguished by Avatar!/fem/-tan lacking the 8chan earrings (although this shouldn't be treated as absolute, given that artists could also just forget to add them).
