When I say it was 'good' I just mean that it the ending had potential. Sadly it wasn't realized.
I conceptually enjoyed the double-double cross and Han being forced to face down his mentor.
The problem is that the movie didn't effectively set up this scene. There was no hint that the fuel could be "faked" and there wasn't enough character development for the viewer to actually care about anybody, Han included. There also wasn't enough decent interaction between Han and Beckett so the emotional impact that should have been there just wasn't.
Also the Darth Maul reveal was retarded.

I agree. I would rank the Disney movies as follows:
1. Rogue One
2. TFA
3. Solo
4. TLJ
Of course, ranking aside, all of these are complete garbage that completely disrespect the entire Star Wars IP and I would never recommend them to anyone.

Initially I thought the same thing, but now I'm not so sure. The writing is just too bad for it to be "just okay", even without the Star Wars label. Too much of the movie just doesn't make sense, the characters behave in bizarre ways, and the pacing is just awful.
