Has this been spotted before? I've never really seen many pictures of this specifc pilot. He gets blown up shortly after this frame. It's common knowledge that a lot of clones were trained by mandos, but Jango Fett aside, I didn't know this bit of lore was really integrated into the movies too, I always thought it was more of an EU thing. What do you guys think? I turned up the brightness so you can take a better look.

The prequels are filled with EU nods like this, it was george's way of showing appreciation to those that kept the franchise alive.

From Lucas in the forward for a reprint of Splinter of the Mind's Eye

>After Star Wars was released, it became apparent that my story—however many films it took to tell—was only one of thousands that could be told about the characters who inhabit its galaxy. But these were not stories that I was destined to tell. Instead, they would spring from the imagination of other writers, inspired by the glimpse of a galaxy that Star Wars provided. Today, it is an amazing, if unexpected, legacy of Star Wars that so many gifted writers are contributing new stories to the Saga.
