The Genndy series lined up well with ROTS since they even show Mace Windu fucking up Grievous's chest. His "cowardly" reputation was implied to have been a result of his declining health. Then comes Filoni's series which portrays him as a cowardly "saturday morning villain"-tier punk from the beginning who gets owned by a fucking padawan. Sure George had more involvement in season 1, but Filoni was likely the one to blame since after season 1, Grievous became even more of a joke and got his shit fucked by freaking gungans. Filoni Wars also has inconsistencies with ROTS, with Dooku even implying that he hadn't seen Anakin since Episode II, yet Filoni Wars has them encountering one another regularly. And don't get me started on Dooku's characterization.

I don't know of any that are as confusing as the Centrist and Populist parties yet. There's some mystery box level crap where they introduce a sci-fi or fantasy-sounding name without cluing in the nomenclature and just leaving it out there for somebody to define in the future (which to be fair is what Lucas did with the word "Sith") but nothing with connotations entirely unlike what the word is supposed to represent.

They actually haven't named Snoke's race yet. His alien servants are called "Attendants" and are from the unknown regions, but Snoke doesn't share their species. The rumor I heard is that they aren't planning on ever naming Snoke's race because they want it to be like Yoda's race or what Jawas look like underneath their hoods. A deliberate perpetual mystery that isn't supposed to be solved.

Of course like all of nu-canon's imitations of the past it fundamentally misses what makes such a thing work. The mystique of Yoda's species was never something portrayed as important about his character or an element of the hype or intrigue surrounding him and the movies never baited or insinuated some grand and impressive reveal about a Jawa's unmasked face. Snoke was used as a giant question mark the answers to which were supposed to keep people coming back. All of these non-answers and hand waves are just blue balling the people who decided to give a damn in the first place and turning off the audience they're trying to attract.

That's another reason why it isn't a very good name. It's supposed to refer to their preference for a formidable centralized authority but it's also true as you're referencing that most Centrist planets are part of the Core Worlds. This is because that part of the Galaxy reaped the most material benefits from the New Order. Often this was at the expense of outer lying worlds, which is something from Legends that Nu-Canon kept.

Some actual suggestions:

-Some sources have the Death Star 2 so large, it's superlaser is the size of the entire Death Star 1, which is pretty retarded, both in terms of completely needless extra power and crew requirements, and of how they'd built around 80% of it so quickly. It should be the same size as the first Death Star, if not a bit smaller. And the smackdown on his officers the Emperor had to lay to even get another one built would make an interesting story.*
