Anyone here seen his EU videos? Maybe a bit cringey, but I unironically like his enthusiasm.

Care to post a link to his videos for starters so we can watch his stuff?

Right, here's a playlist where he goes through every single book in the expanded universe in chronological order (don't let the cheesy intro scare you):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAlGDJ_c1s8&list=PLls1N_myfiawOnVd5yVNV7Mp2418__C53
Here's a video review on Plagueis (an example of his typical enthusiasm and the random bits of trivia he drops)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL8xtN4k8bE
He doesn't really play video games anymore, but reads the novelizations and comics, so he has a very different view on stuff like the Revan novel or the Force Unleashed series. He is vehemently anti-nucanon (one of the reasons I made a thread about him) and claims he hasn't even seen The Farce Awakens (which I have no trouble believing). His main selling points for me are that he sounds like a low budget Matthew McConaughey talking about the Star Wars EU and I sometimes use his chronology as a frame of reference on how I want to go through stuff.
fair warning: this guy has like zero (0) irony in all of his videos which might startle some tough guys. It startled me at first.

I honestly like it. The intro even seems fine, minus the jumping thing, but if that's meant to be ironic then it does its job fine. Guy sounds a bit like a less deranged Tom Arnold.

yeah I take back what I said about the cringiness, it was mainly the intro I was referring to. Another thing I like about the dude is that he makes fun of Filoni all the time (especially later on when you get into the clone wars-era books). It's a pretty comfy channel all things considered. I like it when he sprinkles in some hot trivia every now and then.

I looked at the website and it's pretty much an EU focused movement. They would like to see more books/comics published in the EU timeline, but they aren't against the existence of the Disney canon timeline. Basically they'd like both to coexist. The entire movement spawned from the EU billboard project.

Couldn't find out if it's 100% EU, but I get the impression that it is because of this:
https://www.twin-suns.net/ryn-network
>Hello and welcome to the Ryn Network, an all-volunteer run branch of the Twin Suns Foundation, dedicated to donating Legends books across the world. Below you will find the various locations for each individual volunteer who makes up the network. Each location is able to take donations of Star Wars Legends Books and comics and upon receiving your donations will then find new homes for these books in their geographical area. Volunteers will provide pictures to where the books are donated which can be viewed in the gallery tab and are prohibited to donate books anywhere where they will be sold off.
>We accept both new and used Legends books however we do ask that books that are donated be in good condition so that they can actually be donated. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
Could probably ask them I guess, they had a discord on their website.

i see no reason to cancel the rian johnson trilogy, since he's now allowed to be in his own playground, the rules aren't really there anymore. everything else was very much on-spot.

kind of the same reaction for me, but I'll still watch the ending. Unless they somehow retcon Kanan and the Rebels shit into this, there's no way I can be disappointed since I have zero expections. Everyone at this point already knows it won't mesh with the classic Clone Wars-timeline. The least they could do is just stick to the original scripts and not force continuity with the shit-tier Rebels series. No subtle nods, no easter eggs, nothing.

i was almost a volunteer but the page was broken for me that day so my post didn't go through. why you ask i wonder, i'm well aware that rian johnson's movie sucked, but he also made the exact movie he intended to, which shows a level of competence and semblance, that in an original setting could be put to good use.
this circlejerk echochamber type of thinking is exactly the reason why we have these new shlocks they call episodes, and your petty thoughts are nothing more than a counter-reaction to it, and thus become another circlejerk of its own, and exacerbate the situation. the general opinion of /sw/ here is that the disney universe is and always will be inferior, but that doesn't mean they're totally incapable of creating something enjoyable. devoid of substance, yes, but not entirely trash.

ahsoka is already like two feet taller, it's basically a setup for rebels. what i'm curious is if they'll end it with the invasion of coruscant or leave it open-ended.
