I have only read 1/2 of one manga in my life and now I wish to read a certain manga. Shura No Mon. The anime Shura No Toki is a personal favorite of mine, but I want to read the manga now. I have a torrent on Nyaa Pantsu going…but in case the single seed never comes back online and gibs me dat–can anyone here give me another source?

What's the current status on Tattoos in Japan? I look very gaijin (aryan), there's no way I'll get mistaken into a yakuza member or the like. Will I still get kicked out of Onsen etc.?

Does that actually happen? Always thought it was just one of those memes people made up about yakuza. Anyway I really doubt anyone will care and probably not even give it a second thought unless you've got some crazy full-torso/body tattoo or something. I never went to an onsen/sento when I was in Japan but I imagine it's like everything else there where people will be very non-confrontational unless you seriously make problems. You probably should concern yourself more with the public bathing etiquette rather than worry about tattoos, basically.

Hitler said Germans and Japanese were more related than one would like to believe. In a non-canon episode of Rurouni Kenshin…a German Merc elucidates that his people are very much the same as the Japanese (almost as if he were saying that in very ancient times, both were of the same race) to his female ninja companion.

It is simply an anime. A cartoon as it were…but even so I did notice that part of it. Hmmm.

I'd say the best fit for a Madoka watcher who wants more mahou shoujo is Nanoha. First season of Nanoha is the same director, even.

If you'd rather see something much more representative of what the genre is like, though, you should watch Cardcaptor Sakura (not the one airing now because that's a sequel).

Hey all.

I'm trying to find a doujin I saw on sadpanda some time ago. It was an one-shot, relatively short. The story was basically this: A guy is a NEET who lives in an apartment, and he run out of money so he's literally starving and faints in front of his apartment. A girl, his next door neighbor or something, notices him and takes him to her apartment to recover. Turns out, she's his ex-girlfriend. They start talking and it turns out she's in a relationship now. Her partner comes home and turns out it's a (boyish looking) girl. They have a conversation and it turns out the tomboy has never been with a guy, so her girlfriend forces her to have sex with the guy (threesome?). It ends with all three of them sharing a meal in the apartment and tomboy complaining about why is the guy still there.

It was nothing special, pretty forgettable, I just can't get it out of my head because I'm 100% sure I saw it at some point and wanted to find it again but never could, so now I just want to find it so I can find it. If anyone here remembers it, or is smarter at looking at tags than me, please share it. Thank you.

Horriblesubs is crunchyroll rips, crunchyroll hasn't ever made a good sub.

Commie is an actual commie who makes shitty subs and sometimes subs wrong on purpose to insert shitty memes.

FFF generally has good subs.

Coalgirls takes shitty subs of other groups and fixes them, their subs are from acceptable to good.

There's not a single good hardsubbing group, nor a reason to hardsub.

If you like Madoka and its been a while since you've seen the series it can be a general refresher. Keep in mind that they are compressing many episodes into each movie, so they cut and changed certain scenes for a theatrical release.

I just want to give a shout-out to FancutFags and their version of the Madoka episodes. They recreated the original Madoka episodes using footage from the movies when possible so you get the quality animation of the movie and you get the pacing of the original episodes. It's the best of both.

My 13-year old imoutou wants to watch anime with me. We watched gurren lagan, kill la kill (though she doesn't really like fan service heavy anime), fate staynight and zero, jojo, hero academia. Comedy shonens are basically our go to. She can handle heavier stories, although I would be reluctant to watch something like ghost in the shell because of the slower pacing. I've been considering getting her to watch prisma illya up to the last season so we can watch together. Any suggestions?

A while ago, someone posted about an anime adaptation of a manga or visual novel about a girl who screams "YEEEEERT" when she attacks. I didn't believe it at first, but he posted a webm, and sure enough, the girl screamed "YEEEEERT" multiple times while punching people in the gut. Ever since then, I've been looking for it, but I can't find information about it anywhere.

The premise is something like this: a girl in a crime-filled town gets superpowers and decides to become a vigilante. At night she patrols through her city, punching thugs while screaming her trademark catchphrase "YEEEEERT". I swear this is real, the memory of that webm is burned into my mind.

Whenever I try doing a google search for YEEEEERT or YERRRRRT or anything else that looks remotely like her catchphrase, I only get search results for "yeet", which is really annoying.

I won't be able to rest until I've found the name of this show. I don't know if it was an OVA or an actual series, but I do remember the guy said that it was an adaptation of a manga or novel, or something.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I just checked out Ninja Slayer. I can't deny that the characters are definitely screaming "YEEART", but I feel like this isn't the show I was looking for.

The show I'm looking for actually had real frame-by-frame animation, and the protagonist was a teenage girl. If "YEEART" is the only clue I have, then I think it's going to be impossible to find this show, since "YEEART" seems to be heavily associated with Ninja Slayer…

Thanks for taking the time to help me out, though, I appreciate it.

Legend of Galactic Heroes has enough of this to satisfy basically any one.

Almost any Gundam series, Ghost in the Shell, Planetes, Jin-Roh, Rose of Versailles, or ACCA-13 are some other examples of series where political intrigue is influencing a lot of what's happening, whether the characters are in control of it or not.
