Are there any manga or anime worth checking out about pirates or any of the maritime activities of the time?

If any of you are familiar with horror comics, would you happen to know of this one horror guy who does these little short stories that often feature pregnant women dying horribly for some reason? Also there was one comic in particular where a corpse girl came to life out of a desire to love a prince, but the prince exorcised her by revealing he was gay and thus destroying her last shred of hope that they would be together. There's also another one where its some alternate timeline where humans grow babies to be used as food (baby food get it) but it slowly turns more batshit as time goes by. I can't remember the name of the author or his series (or rather the name for his compliation of stories) and its driving me up the fucking wall.

And no its not Ito. There's a definite difference between the two artists in terms of style. This guy usually does shorter stories, and the horror is more surreal and nonsensical, which is saying something considering how Junji operates.

What anime is this?

I'm looking for animes where the main characters are big burly manly men who use superior strength and preferably wrestling moves to beat people instead of magic or swords or whatever.

Basically I want an anime where Sig Curtis is the main character. Preferably with hot chicks who get flustered over the MC.

Please recommend me a manga where the female love interest lusts after the male MC like a role reversal. Pic related.

Sup niggers. I thought og DB was entirely charming and fun as fuck, and DBZ despite being kinda shitty in some regards I still thoroughly enjoyed sometimes because of the stupid bullshit.

Is DB Super worth it?

Randomly stumbled onto the OST and promptly fell in love with it. From I can gather this thing actually stretches across multiple movies, so before I spent the next dozen hours watching yet another Magical Attack Schoolgirl series, I thought I might as well ask here.

And by that I mean hose that avoid (as much as possible) the worst anime tropes and weaboo bait.

Recommend me an anime that has:

- little to no lolis

- no harem bullshit

- as little fanservice as possible

- no cutsie/strange talking pets/robots

- no power of friendship bullshit

A few of the Gundams (Igloo, 08th, 079, etc. were good), others are trash. Tried the original, but the very first episode had me rolling my eyes (kids with a manual falls into cockpit).

I just really love listening to adorable beautiful women of various body types (including the oppai character) simply talking about cute stuff, it's so pleasant.

Are there any modern versions of this, i seriously think i've covered nearly all well known moe versions of the view, except K-on since it doesn't seem like relaxed talking.

…Is a manga series written by Yu Aida, who also authored the Gunslinger Girl series.

I've been trying to find out more about Ichigo Ichihachi because I like Yu Aida, but I can't seem to find much of anything besides a little info on bakaupdates and Yu's twitter.

I don't think it's been translated yet so does anyone know where I could find some raws of it?

Where the heck do you get "retro" anime downloads when the few torrents on nyaa, shana, et al are either dead or slow as fuck? Fantasyanime has a small selection and bakabt went private so fuck that. I really don't want to settle for streaming from youtube or kissanime and besides they don't have everything.

Hello /a/, stranger looking for some help here. My family was talking about a show we taped off of tv when I was little. Everyone remembers what it was about, but can't seem to find it.

It was a late 80's/early 90's movie-length affair about a boy who was in a music school of some sort. He hates having to play piano and one evening while walking home from a class he falls down a hole or something into darkness. The only other stuff I remember is that there were literal music notes that were antagonizing him (may have been a little trippy). Gif not related.

Any Ideas?
