How am I supposed to view this series? Do I go through all 190+ episodes then the OVAs/movies? Or does the series go along with stuff that happens in the movies? Also anything else like this series comedy wise?

Really, you can watch most of it in any order you please, because except for episodes which introduce recurring characters or movie 5 which animates the ending it's episodic and generally unconnected.
