Will drones let drivers see road conditions ahead ?

Can drones help carriers from being extorted from the police state ?

Part 107 pilot here, no you almost certainly cannot fly a drone while driving, k e k. However, it can be autonomous or piloted by another passenger.

Also, drones over roadways is considered bad form.

As for the utility of a car equipped with a drone, as seen in Bladerunner 2049 - security vehicles with large patrol zones, off-road vehicles that need to see ahead where typical traffic updates do not work. And of course video producers or inspectors essentially turning a car into a rolling drone control OP has it's uses for mobile site work.

There are a few uses for it; car makers will probably avoid making this an already included feature because liability… so your only hopes of prototyping it are aftermarket.

Drones are noisy, have limited battery life, limited range, aren't very powerful, normally aren't very fast, and easy to be knocked off course. If you're traveling at 60mph you'll almost never have a drone that can go more than a couple of minutes away from the car, and you also have to get the thing to land accurately. If you're stuck in traffic you could send it out to see how long the jam is and what the cause is, but you're already in the jam so the drone is doing nothing but sating your curiosity. You can do this with today's tech already if you want, go spend a couple hundred bucks on an FPV racer.

In the future it's more likely the cars themselves will be connected via either mesh network to each other or reporting to a centralised botnet you didn't even know you were contributing to.

>Will drones let drivers see road conditions ahead ?

It's possible but why would you want to see it? It'd be way more useful to just have a computer program process the road data and spit it out to you in the form of "In 2.7 miles, there will be a 5 minute delay."

A better idea would be to have sensors installed on the sides of roads and the data can be uploaded and accessible publicly like GPS data.

 No.53502

If the drone can autonomously deploy and land it would work work just as effectively as if there where sensors or cameras uploading traffic information to a public API.

I think the focus of car manufacturers should be to stop drinkers from driving or pull over cars with sleepy drivers.

The drone systems should also be heavily regulated on public roads.

What body Improvements are already availible to us?

So far I found

————-

1. Magnet in your finger
Insert a neodimuium magnet under you skin.
You will be able to feel magnetuc fields.

Costs: 200$ if you go to a professional doctor, 20$ and a bottle of vodka if you do it yourself at home.

Pros: You can easily percieve if a wire alternate current is cicrulating.

Cons: If you screw up the operation or it get infected AND you don't go to medic soon you can loose a finger. A MRI scan will tear the magnet from inside you.

Somewhat similar, as a type one diabetic I've wondered if some sort of controlled insulinoma (tumor that results in excess insulin production) could be used to produce a basal amount of insulin. Of course, that'd mean either having a tumor inside you by choice, or having it outside your body for ease of control, which isn't much of a benefit over insulin pump therapy.

It would be very difficult to do that in the gut. You would need the microbes to produce just the right amount of insulin at the right time. A better idea might be an insulin pump with a bioreactor attached to it.

I mean… we aren't really getting cybernetic body replacements because we skipped pasted it to straight up growing shit with stem cells. Weird how we didn't predict that.

No miles and miles of fiber, instead we've skipped past that to straight wireless everything.

The IoT and wireless everything is a boom for war drivers like me. Scene nearly dropped off till everyone started hooking up all kinds of shit to wireless networks. Now it's a field day of remotes, video streaming dongles, camera's and all manner of computers.

It's not like we expected it but I enjoy the surprise! The future is now with all it's wonder and sometimes frightening possibilities.

The chess board is 3d now instead of 2d. You won't see a 1984 scenario exactly, more like a hybrid of normal, brave new world and 1984, only this case governments and corporations have a tenuous grasp of things.

Hey /cyber/, I used to go on here a lot back in 2014-2016, and I met a couple people from that zeemaps post a long time ago and we'd really like to interact with some people from here, especially the OGs. Play some games, talk about cyber shit, do some dev projects if anyone's apt with that, etc.

I know Discord isn't a popular medium here but all my old Tox friends haven't been on in years.

Maybe a stupid question but…where can one find cyber clubs/orgs/etc? I'm sure there's no central repository for this information and sites like Meetup I HIGHLY doubt will ever be of use for such an underground interest.

Some time ago I would meet up with a group of dudes and we would have a "flash drive party" (I know totally virgin-sounding) where we would get together with our laptops and exchange shit we had. Everything from movies, games, ebooks, sites, forums, pics, etc. yet most of it was all cyber-related. We all sadly went our separate ways (school, jobs, etc.) but…idk as old-fashioned as that sounds it would be cool to meet like-minded people and share data.

Try namefagging on a forum or irc something and asking there.

The cyber forum link is in the following link and it's still active, there's an irc as well, I don't use either so can't say for sure they'll help you with that but more likely than asking on a board for anonymous posting:

http://archive.is/3GeMj archive because jinteki.industries is still down/suspended, they must've been hosting it on wordpress, they hired some "ex" military general to crack down on wrong think

In college areas, you can find pirateboxes, they're servers with wifi running on raspberry pi's or some routers and they don't just serve files, iirc from the last time I played with piratebox.cc, you can have an ib running on it, so maybe find one in your area and post your idea there. I'm certain there are other ways, like organizing it yourself, printing signs and posting it irl or setup your own piratebox with your idea as the theme, they're highly customizable.

Probably a man. Generally, people are hesitant to get in long distance relationships because its such a strain. Couples who have been dating for monthes break things off when people move (IE. kids going off to colleges). Women control the dating market under 30. So, a woman under 30 choosing to enter a relationship long term with no prior connection, is probably a man / fat / or both. And even fat women can get in person relationships.

You never know. What if you met girl and she was a woman, and fat. Would things have been perfect? Maybe she accepts you as is, you break up for a different reason, and you forewent all the self improvement you would have chased for years trying to make yourself marketable material. Maybe she would be fat, and you guys would settle for each other half happy, never improved. Maybe she was a man, and its good for you didn't meet her. Etc. There are really so many possibilities, how can you decide what the best decision was ? You can only guess.

You sound very similar to me, mang, very very similar.

I grew up in a pretty abusive home in the and my school experience was traumatic to say the least so in the late 90s I found "home" online. Cyberspace was the only place I ever felt safe and happy. I could be who I wanted to be and was limited only by my imagination. How they were such glorious days, exploring the edges of Cyberspace, a place built for the realization of dreams. I made so many friends and had perhaps hundreds on my MSN and every day I always had someone with whom I could discuss anything. My handle was the only thing necessary for our bonding and it wasn't "weird" to seek out and meet strangers to just experience it all together.

Anyway, if you'll allow me, I'll tell you a story of cyber romance.

I met my first love online. She contacted me on LiveJournal of all places. I remember all too well. She added me on MSN and said hi. At first I just took it as another one of an infinite number of interactions I'd had with others but she was nice and I gradually enjoyed talking to her more and more until we fell in love. It's weird you know because I was never even interested in women even back then, or even men in any sexual sense, but she swept me off my feet unlike any other.

She was such a kind soul, genuine, introverted like me. We both loved playing games and we played hours of Day of Defeat and Minecraft together. I forget who said it first but we started to say "I love you" to each other. Looking back with today's perspectives it would seem so silly but we were deeply in love. I went out of my way to remember everything about her and wanted to do anything to make her happy. She lived on the other side of the world so I'd stay up to ridiculous hours just to speak with her even for a little while, just to say that I loved her.

In any case, I was studying a course at the time and it was going well but I was sick with love. I'd never felt love before but oh boy did I feel it. As a pretty young person (I was about 18 or 19 at the time) IPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

cont.

Anyway, we got married and in the beginning it was like a fairy tale. I was living in this new country and I'd never even been out of the country of my birth before. Everything was so magical that I can't even describe it. But I had no aims or plans. I tried to do this or that but for some reason I just couldn't manage to establish myself. I was young and stupid so my actions were probably misguided but in the end my PTSD and depression from the trauma of my childhood ruined everything. Slowly slowly the seams started to unravel and we progressively began to have more arguments, differences of opinion. I said and did ridiculous things that hurt her and I can never say sorry enough for how much I hurt such a wonderful and genuine human being.

I ended up returning to my country of origin and started to study at university again. We continued to speak on MSN but I was depressed and stopped talking to anyone. Depression is the worst thing. It sabotages everything you do for what feels like no reason whatsoever. She took my silence as a sign that I just didn't want to be with her anymore and eventually we filed for divorce. Around this time I think it was MSN was shut down and Skype took over as the main messaging thing. Facebook had also overtaken Myspace as the monopolist on social interaction on the Web. I no longer had anywhere to go and Cyberspace felt like a very different and alienating place. Chatrooms were effectively dead, everything was being consolidated and people used their "real" names online for everything. It had transformed from a dreamscape experience to an extension of peoples meatspace lives. The story continues and we met two more times over the years but it just didn't work out. I've had other relationships since then but I don't think I will ever feel the feeling I had with her ever again. I still think of her every day.

Even the "place" in which we met is no longer, having been desecrated beyond belief and while there are still some places like here in which I take refuge like an exile beyond the limits of the city, the place which I once knew, the place of discovery and exploration and hope is gone forever.

It's probably okay if you're motivated to follow through on it. Personally I read books when I was beginning because they are easier to skip around in when you don't give a shit about a topic. The most important thing is to work on projects that interest you but are also within your ability. When you naturally find yourself needing a feature you'll be more motivated to learn it.

This is why I wrote my first hash table implementation. command_name -> function mapping in some IRC bot. Linked lists were taking too long with 100s of commands.

I have lurked and admired this place for quite awhile; this site has been one of my favorite places on the internet for awhile now.

I am the author of an article called "Cyberpunk is key to our survival" that I just released today.

I would be interested in any input this community has on my article, as I am in the midst of establishing multiple resources for different communities/toward uniting differrent communities (hacker/InfoSec/Cyberpunk enthusiasts, etc.) under a set of ideas/media/resources I have named/branded OuterHeaven.

I believe that this world is facing challenges that necessitate a united front to meet/overcome.

I believe Cyberpunk (including my ideas for OuterHeaven) is a satisfactory means of uniting and rallying the types of minds we will need to overcome these problems.

Thank you everyone. I realize your attention (even if that attention becomes trolling/scorn) is no small thing to ask for.

Also, I did make changes/edits to address issues with clarity where the article, my composition and/or expressing of ideas were concerned.

So thank you again for your input!

You sound severely autistic. Thanks for shitting up the board with your self-advertising. You remind me of that retard on Megachan who tried to get everyone to read his stupid blog.

As I stated, my work generally already reaches a considerable audience.

I have been coming to this site for a couple of years and do not think I have ever posted my other work here.

I state this because I did not post my work here for recognition.

I posted it here because there are few places on the Internet with a dedicated population interested in Cyberpunk, and I value the opinions of this community and was hoping a productive dialogue would result.

I think minds with interests in the subjects/themes that comprise Cyberpunk could have some perspective on real world problems I interested in.

Also, I do not believe I have ever been to Megachan (or knew it existed before now) and have not been diagnosed as autistic.

I am working to try and find solutions to issues; I do not blame you for being skeptical, but it is the truth.

Think tanks are regularly employed in a similar manner.

No worries though. I have compiled thousands of links to related subjects/documents/resources/pages related to these topics..

When the hidden service is up I will post the link here; hopefully the ideas I seek will occur more organically that way.

>I was more stating that people have more in common with some themes of Cyberpunk.

I'd say that reality has become more cyberpunk rather than everyone one the planet is a cyberpunk. Your examples were particularly egregious: Taxes have literally been around for at least 2,000 years, and predate virtually everything except agriculture. Amish paying taxes isn't high tech. Indigenous tribes acting territorial isn't failing to escape tech, its human behavior as old as time. My thought is that cyberpunks are supposed to be more technologically equipt and on the outskirt of societal norms involving technology than their peers. You see this Necromancer with Panther Moderns under going cosmetic body modification to look grotesque intentionally to signal themselves as outsiders. Its punk. I think a core feature is rejection of societal values, and by definition the majority of people cannot do that.

>I am concerned that governments do not seem to be addressing what is around the corner (which is not a surprise and is a trend in of itself).

The trend your talking about is not far from clear. Personally, I believe its extremely likely that automation within my lifetime will kill jobs in masse. But this perspective is something people have been saying since the 1920s. And as new technology has emerged, new jobs have emerged with it. Generally, people whoose jobs are automated away are not able to be retrained, but a new generation takes ups new jobs. Many economists argue that technology advance actually creates as many jobs as it displaces.

But, your idea that a sizable amount of people will be able to transition to STEM jobs is non-nonsensical. Already their not enough hard science jobs to match the number of people graduating with hard science degrees. And most people are not even remotely capable of the kind of analytic thought required for a B.S degree in a hard science, and beyond that, a B.S. in hard science isn't actually enough knowledge ot be economically useful. Its such a meme. Know one will pay you to solve the limited differential equations you can solve when CAS systems exist.

Its hard for me to understand how you can be a professional pentester. Your basic understanding of things like password complexity, computing power, and even what electronics are seems widely deficit.

It seems clear you have never repaired a computer a day in your life. Perhaps pentesting is specialized knowledge. But you seemed to vastly overestimate the power of tools like metasploit, and what kind of requirements exist to get a job in IT.

There are plenty of hostile people here, and I think you should ignore them. I am happy to discuss your crazy ideas with you, but they are crazy. 1/3 of your essay was about the third world rising up using metasploit and e-waste. I suppose there is a kernel of truth to that - not that the 3rd world could reorder global geopolitics successfully on a massive scale through e-waste and metasploit, but that "cyberware" is a cheap way to project power globally, and so countries deficient in hard power like North Korea, Iran, Israel have definitely explored it.

All of 8chan is dying, tons of people went back to cuckchan and some boards there are now 120% normalfagit-tier. The original pol is co-opted as shit, artificial opposition, nothing but conspiratards and blackedposting.

And normalfagits themselves got too used to the ease-of-use and sheltered safe spaces of apps. I seen kids who don't know what the fuck to do when there isn't an app store.

Reddit as a platform sucks for a variety of reasons, but none of those reasons are reddit 4 newbs im a hacker cyberpunk schway.

Im just saying there are too few 'cyberpunks' to exclude people who use reddit as arbitrarily inferior. Also:
