I've spent some time writing this, and the first part is something I've heavily revised for the third time. Not precisely cyberpunk.

Takes place on a planet ruled by an artificial intelligence, the main character is a recently matured body replacement of a deceased immortal cyborg aristocrat. During mind-uploading sessions, he comes across old memories of the failed human independence movement and clones of the rebel leader throughout time. Meanwhile diplomatic tension worsens between his home planet and a galactic federation.

Big theme/concept in this first part (mostly a setting intro) is artificial wombs and genetic engineering.

I know there's going to be something despicable or dismissable about it. But I wonder what people think about it.

I've always been fascinated in what it means to be human, ie Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?, Ghost In The Shell, Ex Machina, etc. So I started writing a story about it where an android falls in love with a human while he's learning how to integrate into society. Any interest in that?

I did a bit for class, it's not what you think though, it's not just "hey code on the blockchain maaan", it's "Everybody run this code at this time, and I will pay $this_much_crypto". There's really no reason to make a videogame on the blockchain because you're paying more for the data and computations than if you just ran it locally, unless you want to just do it as an academic project. You really need to minimize your computations and data storage because you pay for everything you put on the blockchain. On the plus side, you can do decentralized, trust-less multiplayer for any kind of turn based game, which is schway I guess.

You can use Ganche (https://github.com/trufflesuite/ganache-cli) and Metamask (https://metamask.io/) to rapidly prototype your solidity contracts. You can use test networks to prototype stuff without having to actually pay out any brouzouf (https://testnet.help/en/ethfaucet/ropsten). I was going to include a copy of my homework because it explained how to do all this, but after googling for a hot second I realized my professor literally just copy+pasted a medium article: https://medium.com/haloblock/deploy-your-own-smart-contract-with-truffle-and-ganache-cli-beginner-tutorial-c46bce0bd01e and told us to follow it.

Good luck and post back if you make anything.

I am a big fan of the FIESP/SESI headquarters you attached, good find anon.

Started looking for more content on the building and found that the display's been used as backgrounds for some musical performances, as well as retro games and art pieces that pedestrians can interact with. Along with the typical mesmerizing, Blade Runner-esque visuals/animations, of course.

Even the entity that has ownership over the building has parallels to Tyrell Corp, at least with its economic reach. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federa%C3%A7%C3%A3o_das_Ind%C3%BAstrias_do_Estado_de_S%C3%A3o_Paulo

I live not far from toronto, and I go there for business and sometimes shopping once in a while. I hate that fucking city. There's an underlying sense of just utter negativity, it's like the New York City of Canada. Just misery and massively built up commercialism and everywhere you go people act like they're the only people in the world that fucking matter. I can't walk through the Eaton center on a busy day without having to physically restrain myself from grabbing some fuckwit and screaming at them to move their fucking ass out of the way. Lepht Anonym has done it again. She's generally seen as the most-ghetto of all the transhuman cyborgs. She more strongly identifies with the "grinder" aesthetic from DOKTOR SLEEPLESS, and apparently has a pain-reaction somewhere between absolute tolerance and romantic love.

She is emphatically not sane, but she does appear to be friendly and her worst sin appears to be medical irresponsibility while on disability of some kind. Considering how many people are fat fucking their way past her on "unnecessary medical costs", I'm not inclined to judge her too harshly.

In addition to implanting (and breaking) her own magnetic implants, she just got a MR3040 wireless router installed under the skin of her arm. It's no longer powered by a battery, but can be activated by putting a wireless charging coil against the skin.

Were I to hazard a guess, probably a result of getting more involved with the tech scene, which is usually feminist and leftist in nature and thus turns pretty much all women into ugly cows.

>magnetic implants

I don't get how people can be this retarded. If that shit shatters (and it eventually will) it will cause many health problems.

>also implanting a radio device

How big is the fucking thing and is she not worried about radiation inside of her body?

How many STDs does she have? She looks like the kind of greasy woman who would sleep around, and not safely.

None the less, she still seems like an interesting person and I'd probably be willing to befriend. There is something appealing about her weirdness.

Imagine a meshnet made up of people with embedded pirate boxes.

Fake tits suck, they are literally just sacks of silicone with fluid inside of them and look god awful. I'd rather a chestlet than fake tits.

Oof. She actually looked kinda hot in a strange way in OP's pic.

That would be 水.

She looked like a female at least. Kinda reminds me of Lisbeth from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Gotta be honest, I wouldn't mind having a piratebox implanted, but not on my fucking arm like this nutter did. I'd get it put somewhere in the body cavity so that it wouldn't get in the fucking way or stretch my skin. I would want it to be hidden.

The big problem that I have with a lot of the "Grinder" scene is the lack of safety in it. I'm glad to integrate tech into my body, I just don't want to get a massive infection as a result.

Hoi, chummers. I've been thinkin about decks a lot lately, and seen some neat shit on people making their own. What methods would you all use to cobble something together, and to what end? What kind of function would you be looking for in a modern cyberdeck? How would you make it look schway as fuck?

Are you going to keep this screen or do you plan on replacing it by some spare screen from a laptop for example?

My instincts tell me that your solar panel(s) should be larger than your device(s).

I've been thinking of making a cyber deck, but most of these seem like they would be pretty inconvenient in the real world. I have always liked the idea of how the luggables did it back in the day.

With a little refresher, I don't see why this could be a common form factor for tech enthusiasts.

As much as I hate to admit it, but smartphones and tablets are probably the modern equivalent to cyberdecks. Or a RaspberryPi in your backpack with some additional hardware like an Alfa card that you control via your phone. Extremely portable, covert and you're pretty much independet in the sense that you just need a powerbank and maybe a solarcharger for your powerbank. With this you can charge your RaspberryPi, tablet and smartphone. You could then rent a cheap VPS if you need raw computing power or storage. With a setup like this you're pretty flexible and you don't look like a larping autist.

Maybe this is something you guys like, doesn't really have anything to do with cyberdecks though.

GREETINGS /cyber/

The Infinity Cup is returning once again, and 8chan's boards will be fighting it out on the pitch to claim divegrass supremacy. As a board that has participated in the Cup at one point or another in its history, you are invited to the reveal stream for 2019 Summer edition of the Cup. On Saturday June 22nd, at 3 PM EDT/7 PM UTC, on cytu.be/r/8cup I'll be giving you guys an early look at the Cup's 5th edition, which will include revamped aesthetics, team stadiums and other quality of life improvements I've figured out how to do in PES 17. Hopefully this will get anons back on board with the Cup, considering it has struggled mightily since its 2nd incarnation.

So how is it going to go down? I'll be staging a couple of exhibition matches between teams using their rosters from the last Cup, and we'll shitpost our merry way through the stream. Once the stream ends, entries will be open for the Cup, and boards can start putting together/editing their rosters and kits. Entries will close in early July, the field will be determined, and the Group Draw will take place approximately a week before the Cup kicks off in August. I'm also hoping to possibly introduce managers for the Cup, although I'm still working out the details to keep this from devolving into a namefag dick measuring contest. I hope you all will tune in, and in case you aren't caught up on your board's history, I've provided some links below to get you caught up:

Good day to you all, friends of /cyber/!

We're creating a new version of the Infinity Cup and we would like to know if you guys would be interested in participating in it. As far as I know, your kits and rosters are already up on the wiki, but I would like your confirmation on whether you want to participate or not.

If you do, consider posting on https://anon.cafe/icup/res/182.html to let us know and you'll be set as a starting team!
