They can hole up in France all they want. INTERPOL is a real thing. Any charges out of the EU and the gendarmes are acomin'. The yacht is flagged Cayman Islands so out in International Waters there would have to be permission from the Caymans to have a coast guard board her. Unfortunately for our opposing forces there is myself and another boatfag here in the States. We may get the one from the UK boards over to general now and then, and there were a couple that thought about taking up our little "hobby." And now that the bakers are going to help an old sailor get more dangerous by baking I expect to be brought under intense shill fire again, like way back when they couldn't stop the planefags so figured they'd play "you're a boatshill" games. Who is WR Baker? That fucking punk was demanding WR link be changed last night through 4 breads, in the middle of attack on board, when things were not even settled yet. Had 2 other bakers who came on saying not to change things.. i dont know who it is, but i will never change it again.

There has been a serious and inevitable issue that needs to be confronted. It has been happening behind the scenes for quite some time. I talked with 1 or 2 bakers some time ago.
Wanted to get automated archiving of breads going.
So I now finally managed to get my own local SAP system working and I also implemented automatic archiving in SAP now for archive.today + wayback machine).
I will have to use wayback machine to archive breads + videos, because archive.today seems to be incapable of archiving videos.

I also managed to get a JSON/XML parser working. I just need to interpret the breads, read the breads and then archive the baker marked videos from there.
I guess at first I will implement automatic bread archiving, so that at least all breads get archived on wayback machine.
One question: how soon shall I auto-archive breads? I can always wait until 751 replies have been made, but as you see with that German bread it wasn't fully filled. I could also archive the lower 50% of the breads that show up in the catalog.

btw. what is sad is that wayback machine doesn't archive all images all the time. It archives most images, but not all of them. I can't do much about that. I could in theory archive all images separately, but wayback machine has a limit of 6 requests per minute per IP, which means if I did that I would archive all day.

Here's some of the suggestions for stuff to talk about re "10 most common mistakes by new bakers" in no particular order:
- using curly quotes from word processing programs for formatting
- copying the page breaks into the dough
- not tagging the dough post when picking up a bake (ghost bakes)
- forgetting to post a bun link
- not changing the bread number after the first bake (so that you accidentally re-use it)
- not reading prior breads before baking to understand what the shit is
- omitting the Holy Colon in the bred title
- title with wrong bread number
- weird spacing in notables page (too few or too many spaces)
- not reading prior notables ("clueless baker syndrome")
- not checking qresear.ch to see whether something's notabled already
- baking from ego not service (how can this be remedied?)
- not updating bread number in Create a Thread
- trying to hide being new (never works, better to announce it, anons will help)
- letting either shills or pushy anons bully you into doing or not doing stuff (if not sure, defer to more experienced baker - ANYTHING can wait)
notables:
- "kitchen sink" notables (trying to get every. single. note.
- long wordy article titles (most can be cut down)
- "uber zen" notables (cryptic one or two word descriptions that don't help)

"10 things not to worry about when you're a new baker":
- making dough changes or complex corrections (just leave message for next baker if no oldfags are around)
- making mistakes (cardinal rule)
- avoiding shill attacks (impossible, it's not personal - if you bake you get attacked)
- avoiding anon attacks (some dumbfuck anons can also try to take advantage - just say 'back off' - if they don't treat em like a shill)
- "kitchen fuckery" (it's not that it doesn't happen but you don't have to worry about it - there are many eyez in the kitch….)
- doing Q bakes all alone (bakers and anons will provide all kind of support–caps, formatting q drops, notables, posts alerting you that Q is on the board, etc - handoffs too)
- doing everything NOW like there's no more breads coming in the future ("manana" is a great slogan for new bakers….)
