Daycare Closed After Housing Illegal Migrant Wanted for Child Rape

A daycare in Cape Cod closed this week after housing an illegal migrant wanted for child rape in his home country of Brazil.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that agents arrested Tiago Lucas in Bourne, Massachusetts last October after learning he had been living at the home daycare of Franciele Nunes. Lucas, allegedly the father of Nunes two children, fled Brazil to escape a nine-year sentence for raping a 13-year-old girl. Nunes had been a licensed home daycare provider for three years until her license expired in March of this year.

Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis called it “terrifying” that Lucas had been harbored at a home daycare with no oversight.

Sheriff Evangelidis told 25 Investigaters:

The idea that someone has been documented, that a Brazilian national fled the country because they were convicted for rape of a 13-year-old and could come to Massachusetts and not only disappear into the fabric of Massachusetts, but actually be living in a home that was a daycare center for young people. That’s terrifying.

According to Boston 25, the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) investigated the home five times and found no record of Tiago Lucas living there. State Representative Steven Xiarhos said the investigations were not thorough enough.

“You’ve really got to, I think, go out of your way to make sure each place is as safe as it should be. Within the report, Director John Ratcliffe is noted as shifting the focus of America’s leading spy agency to use more “human intelligence.”That phrase, “human intelligence,” is IC silo code speak for shifting away from “analysts” (political operatives) and engaging in more ¹factual intelligence information.

Kash Patel demotes FBI agents who were photographed kneeling during George Floyd protest

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has reassigned several agents who were photographed kneeling with demonstrators during a 2020 protest in the wake of police killing of George Floyd, people briefed on the matter told CNN.

The reassignments, viewed as demotions by many inside the FBI, come nearly five years after the episode that ignited controversy inside the bureau. FBI officials offered no explanation for changing the roles to less coveted positions for the agents, according to sources.

The FBI declined to comment to CNN, citing its policy to not discuss personnel matters. Agents affected didn’t respond to requests for comment.

The targeting of the kneelers is part of a broader effort by the new FBI leaders to make good on promises to root out what President Donald Trump has called “woke” and politicized elements inside the agency.

A former FBI official said punishing agents involved in the incident now raises concern that the bureau is bypassing its regular disciplinary process, which can take months and even more than a year to review incidents.

“This notion that the bureau would go after these people, it’s just disgusting,” the former official said.

After quickly ousting senior FBI leaders, the Justice Department has said it is reviewing the conduct of more than 1,500 agents associated with cases that have found disfavor in the new Trump era, including investigations of the president and his allies. Astroscale US to lead the first-ever refueling of a United States Space Force asset

Astroscale US will conduct two refueling operations of a US Department of Defense (DoD) satellite in geostationary orbit (GEO) for the United States Space Force (USSF).

This mission will demonstrate the ability of commercial Servicing, Mobility and Logistics providers to deliver on-orbit capabilities supporting the warfighter.

The Astroscale US Refueler is manifested to launch in the summer of 2026.

The Astroscale US Refueler will be the first spacecraft to conduct hydrazine refueling operations above GEO and will be the first-ever on-orbit refueling mission supporting a DoD asset.

Designed for maneuverability, the 300-kilogram spacecraft will carry a refillable hydrazine tank, supporting refueling for a client spacecraft during two planned operations and enabling an end-to-end refueling ecosystem with a client, servicer and depot in space.

“We’re changing the reality of what’s possible,” said Ron Lopez, President of Astroscale US. “This mission proves that in-space logistics does not have to be years away.

We’re a focused team with one goal: deliver and operate an operational prototype spacecraft for the Space Force.

That’s only possible because of our agile structure, solution-oriented design, close collaboration with Space Systems Command’s Servicing Mobility and Logistics program office and our incredible team.
