quote by Golden One

>The month of March, called Mars in Swedish, which is also the Roman name for Ares. My name Marcus, is also Roman. So every March I feel additional Thumos. Any arguments to the contrary are totally invalid

Golden One is strong, massive, and his hair is great and this post is not against him, but it is about paganism in general, and to which god month of March is related.

Many, including wikipedia, think March is related to Mars, it is wrong. This month is related to the god of the sea/dreams, probably in your language you have some words related to the sea similar to "march" like latin "mare".

When you want to link gods to the months, you have to take astrology into account, and in march, precisely from 19.02 to 20.03 is assigned to pisces, ruled by Neptune.

Next month will be related to Mars, sign of Aries, ruled by Mars who is Ares.

Ancients have some arguments against me too, like Rustic Calendars, the Altar at Gabii, and Manilius (associations of signs/months and gods), but they all are wrong. If you want to really understand without any sources where truth is, compare people you know, born in pisces and those in aries, and you will see for yourself, that aries has thumos, (specifically dynamis, and thumos is leonian but generally it is something similar, which makes one active) but pisces is daydreaming, artistic, spiritually inclined.

See for yourself traits of people, and then link them to each god of 12 olympian or other gods, if you use olympian gods remember that Hestia is Dionysus, add Hades for Scorpio, use Ouranos instead of Hera and Menoetius instead of Aphrodite (guard of cattle) for better clarity, and also note that Athena is Neptune.

Real tutelary deity of March should be Minerva/Athena/Cybele.

The function of god of Pisces is to replenish chakras, that's why Agir has "9 daughters". Hope someone understands.

You don't really belief that, if you did you would not be promoting Greek Polytheism.

There is such a thing as Chinese math.

Religion is not math, or rules, or laws.

Marcus has more balls than brains. I love how manly and "testosteronous" his channel is and I really think we need a lot more of that on Youtube, but I wish he could just keep focusing on that part of it instead of getting into more intellectual topics which are more suited for people like Varg.

But then again, it's just his opinions, it's okay if he just shares his opinions, but if he's going to talk about all sorts of uneducated opinions like they are the absolute truth, like he's some enlightened mentor then it's going to end up kinda cringey.

Depression seems pretty clear to me

1. You need to be using your brain and body to their full capacity in pursuit of fufilling your biological imperatives - survival and reproduction

2. If you falter from this path and fall into a state of waking hell, you should be caught by a safety net of moral support structures of family, society, religion which can help you retructure your life. These structures are sadly being eroded.

3. Sometimes if all else fails, there could be antidepressants as a last resort. However all options - finding meaning and fixing sleep, diet, exercise, sex, etc - should be exhausted first

>survival and reproduction

Anon, you can't cure depression simply by getting kids and having a good job. Everyone has something that they really want deep down and when you don't get it your mind reacts by making you depressed. You may not even consciously know what it is you want, but you will still be depressed until you find out what it is and at least start working towards getting it.

Sure there's other things that are important, that's essentially what Nietzsche laid out - that you need to find what compels you and pursue it because that will give structure and purpose to your life.

But if you can't ignore your biological imperative either. That's largely why so many people who have pursued careers and neglected to raise a family feel unfulfilled.

Its also incredibly depressing to see your entire people failing to successfully reproduce and thrive, this is almost more crushing than a failure to personally reproduce because it implies that even though you yourself have succeeded, it is a meaningless success, because in the end the entire genetic line of your people will end regardless of what you do. (I'm not saying that's the case, just that people can feel depressed because of these thoughts - don't fall for this blackpill!)

I agree with you. I just think that what you said applies a lot more to women than men, I mean, you just don't see catmen with a hundred cats at the age of 40, instead you see married fathers with good wives and high-paying jobs ending up in a mid-life crisis because they got redpilled at 30 instead of 20, because even though they did everything correctly, their lives were still unfulfilled.

Of course what you said is right, but men require something extra, I can't say what it is for sure because everyone is different, but for example me I just want to quit my wageslave job, start my own business and build a house, then when I'm around 30-35 I can start thinking of having kids, but that's just me. It's a simple dream but I feel depressed when I'm not working towards it.

So basically i was walking around in this cave-like area which was only sparsely lit with some torches, and there was a small creek running right through it with a few bridges going over it.

As i was delving deeper into said cave i came across and noticed something in the distance, which upon closer examination turned out to be a seriously injured young lamb pierced by arrows at multiple spots around its body.

For some reason i had a bigass knife on me and decided that it would be a good idea to end its suffering right then and there rather than let it continue to suffer - "This is for your own good, buddy, it'll be over soon" i uttered as i beheaded said lamb in a quick fashion.

I then continued to venture deeper into said cave until i got tired of doing so, and when i turned around again to walk toward the exit i found that the corpse of the lamb had mysteriously vanished from the place i had last seen it - Instead, now the christ god Jesus was standing in its place, looking right at me.

I basically only wanted to assure him that the aforementioned act of mercy killing was no display of hostility toward christianity on my part, and that i wanted whites of all faiths to peacefully co-exist, since us heathens do not need to forcefully convert others like the christians do.

As i finished the last words of this sentence, the christ-figure suddenly and without any forewarning turned completely pitch-black, as if someone had emptied a truckload of tar over it, and its eyes began to glow quite menacingly.

Before i could muster up any meaningful response, he had already extended his left arm, with both fingers piercing through my chest and reaching for my heart, pushing me back toward the exit of the cave with an unspeakable otherworldy force which i could not resist.

It also delivered some kind of retort during this act of hostility, but i cannot quite recall what it was anymore at this point, but it went along the lines of "I'm permabanning you from christianity because you're seeing behind my lies so no one willPost too long. I had quite the neat Fylgja-type third density encounter with a raven whilst taking dogger for a walk yesterday. On the route i'm taking there's this small patch of forest right next to the local soccer field and said forest usually has a lot of crows/ravens and shit in it always making a lot of noise, you can see their nests all over from the ground too. It's a very nice and foreboding comfy litte patch of forest which i used to sometimes run around in during my childhood/younger teen years. Anyways i was basically just walking the route when i saw from afar that there were already a lot of ravens all over the place on both the soccer field fence and the path right next to it searching for food or something along those lines.

One of said ravens (the most vocal one by far) then took a swoop directly in front of me (thought he was going to attack me at first as he was heading straight into my direction) but then took a sideturn and landed on the top of said fence, which was roughly around the same height as me. He then just kept sitting there as i approached, not flinching or moving an inch and just cooing along in a very vocal fashion.

When i passed said fence less than one and a half metres or so away from it it still kept sitting there and was basically "looking" straight at me (even though i wore sunglasses), momentarily stopping the cooing and then resuming it again quickly. Alas i didn't have any food on me though or else i would've reached out and given it some most likely. It then kept this up for like another 15 secs or so after i had passed and when i turned around again after that i saw it taking off after having gone silent to follow his raven flock which had been taking flight again at that point. It was very neat indeed, i always like when i pass those alfatherian birds during my walks w/doggerlad but this really felt different, i think they might be able to pick ur sympathies for them up thru the morphic astral Vril resonance field. No wonder our pagan germanic ancestors revered them so much too heh

I've been browsing the writer's blog and a lot of the information seems rather sketchy, like he just patched together some anti-Christian history from a bunch of random sources. For instance he says

>Between 590 and 604, Pope Gregory I "The Great" ordered to burn the contents of the Palatine Library in Rome, due to the "pagan" writings it housed.

If you look that up you find ((Isaac D'Israeli)) writing about it and some fruitcake called J. M. Roberts who got his information from ghosts, however they both give the same account of Pope Gregory burning the library. It seems likely that they ultimately source from John of Salisbury, who's account comes far too late, and is patently wrong.

Ammianus Marcellinus, who was contemporary to the event, writes (Amm. Marc. 23.3.3):

>[3] Here, as Julian slept, his mind was disturbed by dreams, which made him think that some sorrow would come to him. Therefore, both he himself and the interpreters of dreams, considering the present conditions, declared that the following day, which was the nineteenth of March, ought to be carefully watched. But, as was afterwards learned, it was on that same night that the temple of the Palatine Apollo, under the prefecture of Apronianus, was burned in the eternal city; and if it had not been for the employment of every possible help, the Cumaean books 1 also would have been destroyed by the raging flames.

So the library was actually burned down in AD 363, several centuries before Gregory

Here's to hoping this sparks some discussion. I apologize in advance if this was already discussed.

Christians, Jews, and Muslims all have one book. Well, they have plenty of books on the subject of their religion, but they are supplementary to their one and essential book. Books that dictate the values of their faiths and how to venerate their gods. The Christians have the bible, the Muslims have the Quran, and the Jews have the Torah. If your house caught aflame and your electronic devices were all dead, what book would you save at the cost of the rest?

This may seem a bit melodramatic, but I think it's worth discussing. We only have so much time in the day between work, hobbies, and other demands. To study any great work one needs time. Time to soak in and process what they're actually reading. I'm not saying reading a lot of books is bad. It's just how much can you read and take to heart, if you have several dozen of books under your belt?

>now read poems written by a christian in the 11th century

I am laughing so hard. At least we are reading Christians from the 11th century, when do you ever see Christians valuing their own heritage?

hur dur 2.000 years of Christians history and you people only read the Bible and the occasional theologian.

What are you trying to prove, that Germanics are more cultured and value their history more? That Christian history doesn't matter, because only the Bible is the word of God.

I mean, face it, you have the Bible and a bunch of silly theologians, we have everything else.

The Greeks and Romans are ours, most of medieval seculiar culture and a lot of it's religious culture is ours, the enlightenment is ours.

When you look on a cathedral or some old painting of the madonna, that is ours, Christians simply do not care for our heritage.

So yes, you are right, Indian culture is part of our heritage, so is a lot of medieval christians culture and yes so is the modern internet.

You can have your Bible…. deal?

LMFAO you're stating obvious facts as if they are some kind of huge revelation. We've already been there, we already accepted it as a fact of life, we all know that women have to be subservient, we all know that they suck in leadership positions, we all know not to trust women or anyone else in life because people are bastards, this isn't news to us but the fact that you only realized it just now and you're still insecure enough to base your whole fucking life philosophy around it shows exactly how "alpha" you really are.

not bad for a first shrine

used to have a very nice and elaborate shrine but Ive had to move and new place is shit, infested with cockroaches. refuse to consecrate my idols in such a place so I've opted for a more simple shrine based on Herodotus' description of the Scythian Temple to Ares. White altar cloth, a langseax consecrated towards war, and a short seax consecrated towards offerings and sacrifices. Both are adorned with red ribbons and white knotted strings. A red candle flanks the left side and a white candle flanks the left.

Changed it up abit since posting the first pic. I re,oved the antlers, because i felt it made the space look asymmetrical. I've also gathered a bunch of idols, but unfortunately i couldn't find a sacrificial bowl made of wood.

Nice idea with the seax knifes.

Haven't seen this topic being discussed here.

Is Varg right in assuming that weight lifting is pointless for a survivalist lifestyle? Would, say, training like a soldier be more beneficial in the long run?

Consuming a big amount of calories does seem counterproductive if your aming to live "off grid" but the benefits of weight lifting can't be denied.

Central Sweden: 8,000-Year-Old Skulls on Spikes Dug-Up From the Bottom of a Lake

>Archaeologists have never before encountered this grisly phenomenon in Mesolithic Scandinavia, and they're hard-pressed to explain it.

//news.nationalgeographic.com/2018/02/human-skulls-mounted-on-stakes-river-mystery-mesolithic-sweden-spd/

Archaeologists digging at the bottom of a former lake in Sweden have discovered an ancient burial site containing 8,000-year-old human skulls mounted on wooden stakes.

The gruesome find at the Kanaljorden site in the town of Motala in the central Sweden has left researchers baffled as, according to a study published in the journal Antiquity, it the challenges modern “understanding of the handling of the dead during the European Mesolithicera.”

The skulls showed signs of blunt force trauma that was “probably the result of interpersonal violence,” the study read. However, some injuries show signs of healing, meaning that blunt force trauma is not necessarily what killed them.

Some 11 adults, only one of which had a jawbone, were found at the ancient burial site. While it was difficult for researchers to determine their sex, at least three were female and six or seven were males. Interestingly, the injuries differed according to sex. Men tended to have truma on the top or front of their head, while women were injured at the back of their heads. Also unearthed was the entire skeleton of an infant who was likely stillborn or died shortly after birth, the researchers said.

Remains of wooden stakes were recovered from two of the skulls, “indicating that they had been mounted.” One of the stakes had broken. The other was at about 1.5ft (47cm) in length. Astonishingly, a piece of brain tissue was also recovered from the skull impaled with the broken stake. This suggests that the skull was cast into the lake soon after death where it was preserved.

"The mythic archetype associated with a nation can make or break its destiny.

by Everte Farnell and National Vanguard correspondents - May 17, 2017

http://nationalvanguard.org/2017/05/shall-odin-or-christ-inspire-the-salvation-of-europe/

AGAIN AND AGAIN, the peoples of Europa conquered the other cultures they encountered. Before the modern era, they were well-nigh unconquerable. And yet now they seem to be lying down and allowing Middle Easterners of very low type to take over the European continent.

Why? What possible reason would such a people allow such inferiors to invade, rape their women, kill their people, pillage their social programs, and destroy their property?

Why would the once all-conquering Europeans behave in such a suicidal way? I believe the answer is 1,500 years of Christian belief. Your first reaction may be to dismiss me — but stay with me for a moment and we’ll think this through.

First, Christianity isn’t native to Europe. It was certainly adopted wholeheartedly (though often initially by the bloody sword), but it is indeed a foreign religion. All of the putative sacred places mentioned in its holy books are, for example, on another continent.

I understand that we later Europeans eventually deemed some places sacred in the name of Christ, such as the healing shrine in Lourdes, France. But, except for some outlier sects who disagree, there are no places that Jesus or his disciples were reported to have visited in Europe.

The simple fact is this: Europe adopted this foreign religion and consequently admitted, on some level, that another people was more enlightened, intelligent, spiritually attuned, and more deserving of respect than our ancestors. These “others” were, we accepted, a uniquely great people who found the “truth” — and Europeans were very lucky indeed to be given a chance to learn that truth from our superiors.

They are in fact brothers and most likely sisters as far as their DNA makeup is concerned.

>Ivan

>there are only eastern Germanics

Drop this fucking retarded meme already. The Slavic languages were not created within recent history, or during the early medieval period. A pan-Slavic identity? Yes, such a thing would be a construct. But the Slavic languages all descend from a proto-Slavic language, itself in turn from a proto-Balto-Slavic language, itself in turn from the late proto-Indo-European language of the Corded Ware culture. What I mean when I say that Hungarians are descended from west Slavs and Germanics is that they descent from people who spoke Germanic and west Slavic languages. These two different groups of people were genetically rather similar, moreso than the west Slavs are and were to east Slavs such as Russians, yes - I know this well, I myself posted the PCA plot indicating this. There is a region of overlap between where modern German samples fall and where modern west Slavic speaking samples fall, and Hungarian samples fall basically within this area of overlap, as you can see. Clearly Austrians, (some) Germans, Slovaks, Slovenians, and Czechs all share a great deal of ancestry.

Nigger our chronicles knew we were Slavs in medieval times. Jewish family of your granddad has nothing to do with it.

Also: Sueui (correct writing) are Slavs and not Swabians.

Slavic kings Jarovist and Naslav fought with Romans. Veleda is pirestess of Veles. Hludana is goddes of Cold (Hlud), female counterpart of Hlodolet (Saturn). Triglav was still worshipped in 1447 near Soest in western Germany.

Should I just kill myself?

American paganism in general just seems pozzed as fuck, and even if I did move to Europe, it's not as if I can lay claim to kinship with people from Ireland or Poland.

Seems like a good opportunity. I don't see a mainstream religion right now that emphasizes strength, family/race, nature, work ethic, and a proper balance of freedom/community. There is a void with potential to be filled here, and america needs its own american gods to fill them.

Hello /asatru/.

Let me just start by saying that I am fairly new here and don't know much about your beliefs. That is not why I am here though. I don't doubt that many of you can make good arguments as to why we Europeans should return to our native religions.

We want to preserve our race - It makes sense to worship the gods of our blood.

The logic is sound and reasonable. But what I want to know is how and why so many people are returning to worshipping the old pantheons in the first place. Obviously, there must be something with what we have currently that makes people reject it. That is christianity. That is what I want to know. How have christianity weakened Europeans? What damage have it done to us as a race, both physically and spiritually? What parts of its teachings and theology goes against our interests?

In short. I want to learn why and what Christianity have done to us. I would make this thread on /pol/, but every time anyone question some of christianity's teachings, the /christians/ sperg and shit up the thread so much that you cannot have a discussion there. It does not help that the mods are on their side either. /pol/ is a Weeb-Christian circlejerk at this point.

Also are there any books out there that goes into this topic?

Very nice argument, but it all boils down to the fact that Bolshevism or Communism tries to make people equal, but people are all hypocrites and thus that fails.

>Well, day to day religious affairs for the ancients did not focus on the gods outside of warrior god cults. I would argue modern heathenry's preoccupation with deity is an Abrahamic taint. The gods of the Gemranic world view were distant beings, not frequently invested in mankind or individuals meaningfully. Aside from great rulers and warriors, mankind is something of a passing thought to the gods who have their own tribal affairs to tend to, and Yggdrassil itself to order. Unlike Jehova/Allah, who is a personal god deeply invested in his people and handing down invasive moral edicts, the gods of our ancestors had little in the way of moralizing to do and were not likely to notice you. Indeed, it was often better that they didn't. You factor into their machinations much the same way ants do to yours when you're digging up the yard to install a patio.

That's all very nice, but why would I accept the claims beings made here?

I could say that the Gods and their servants are close to us and that the Christian God is distant, that's my experience. So basically you are just saying things and hoping we somehow come to accept them as true.
