Hello folks…

The Original

Jack-o-nine-tails is a great game, however it was cursed with its engine and slav code. The author presented a great game that then evolve a lot from community contribution. And is still today active in this HF thread:

Why?

The issue is, Jack is built on the QSP engine, which as very obscure engine with russian only documentation. The actual game code is plagued with several stuff hard-coded and spread all over.

There was some discussion to port the game to a different engine. While some users got excited but decide to go on different directions, I wanted to solely improve the back-end code to easy collaboration for different users without much knowledge of what they're doing.

The Remake

This is where I came in, with the aim to make a game with smart code that will need little maintenance, be effective and allow for extensive customization of the world lore itself.

After a brief research, I've found the Godot Engine, which is open-source, very flexible, powerful and gaining grounds in the development community. The game as its predecessor will be fully open-source and free. Grounds for collaboration and documentation have taken place in github.

My changes from playing the game for 1 day, then modding and playing for another 4: https://paste.ee/p/av7D0

Changes include:

- incest girlfriend

- incest fetish affects some sex actions

- sluttiness adjustments for willing clothing based on what is desired to be worn

- some stupid changes cause I'm a lazy fuckhead and don't want to grind (script.rpy main character class changes, and the "fetishist" business decision)

- disable some of the ugly fucking shit in the game. 3 faces disabled, Removed fatties. made the girls shorter, younger, and smaller in general. (game/random_lists.rpy)

- girls will pick their own clothes better, and will be dynamic based on their sluttiness (calculated daily because I was testing. You can add an if renpy.random.randint(0,7) == day or similar so each girl has a chance to change clothes if you're worried about performance)

I don't know if I'll do any more changes, this shit is basic python. The guy who wrote this has a good understanding of programming but jesus fucking christ it is a fuckton larger than it needs to be for what it is accomplishing. He isn't too well verPost too long. The sequel is slowly making progress.

Jobs and crafting is working, though it's a bit too easy to break the economy just spam mythril mining, hunting for mythril leather or wood cutting magic wood, doesn't matter wich, so long as its high end, and sell on the market for tons of cash

The new combat system and dungeons have promise. Certainly better than the old system.

The last patch also kicked off the plot. Quests and guilds are only sort of working though, and its hard to effectively hunt for new slaves.

I would love to find some info on the formatting of portrait picture file names to get the get it to auto assign them, if its possible.

I was introduced to this side-scroller several months back and decided to share it here. It's a fun but strait forward and fairly simple game. Basically you play as a succubus without wings, shooting and fucking your way to victory (pressing "down" over downed enemies causes something "interesting" to happen ;P). There are some power ups, and unique attacks, and there is some unlock-able content. The game is also compatible with controllers.

You have to redo a bunch of the areas at seemingly random if you want to get past the storylines and get the rest of the h-scenes for other characters that aren't just the MC getting raped, it's fucking obtuse and retarded.

There isn't enough content in the full game to justify buying it and what is there is locked behind puzzles that would make a clairvoyant get fucking lost for days without a guide. ULMF does have a pretty reasonable walkthrough for it, but it isn't in order and you still have to figure out a bunch of that shit on your own

Plus getting all the """endings""" is much easier than unlocking the goddamn H-scene gallery. The writing is trash and i can't fathom why the developer would bother with half the shit in the game regarding this other than inconsequential background fluff that the main character still continues to give less of a fuck about.

The game could still be somewhat saved with the combat but you can just cheese it with a maximum MP mage build, magic pasta for mp regen and the Storm spell, which you can get incredibly quickly and upgrade even faster with all the useless trash loot the game keeps trowing at you. Except for the Romenia takeover and Arena, which are easy as shit even just with a Rapier+ and Berserk stone without taking a single hit because of how much range melee attacks have and how fast AP regenerates by default.

VH is still better than this.

Lilith's Throne is almost there, but I'd like to see more non-player autonomy and challenge, on a smaller scale.

It gets good marks for sandbox with procedural autism-level character detail (can't even cum to linear shit anymore) and the sex system is my favorite yet.

Text-based is better than repetitive 2D or shitty 3D, but ideally it would have a modular paperdoll display with a huge range of combinations.

Setting, I'm thinking Player + 7 to 10 procedural characters to keep them memorable and impactful. For some reason everybody has to live in some enclosed environment and go about their day-to-day life (Communal living -> Cowloon-like Apartments, Research Station, Frontier Outpost, some kind of prestigious academy …?) with some setting-defined common goal.

Characters have personality through various values which influences their behaviour, drama and porn ensues.
