Memorial

I love terry and yet he never even knew my name or that I existed. Sure, we interacted a bunch of times over the years. but I was just a faceless name among the thousands that admired him, laughed at his crazy antics or shitposted in his chats for some kind of reaction.

I don't need to talk too much about his programming, those who get it get it. But Terry was more than a programmer. He was a biblical devotee and a composer. He produced works to glorify god with all of his humanity, creativity and skills. I urge you all to do the same. Terry's life goal was to create Gods 3rd temple here on earth. I believe he accomplished that with TempleOS.

This death was made much harder on us than it had to be. We collectively went through a 3 day period of denial. Somebody joked that he might be resurrected at the end. Instead of we got confirmation from a police officer that he was struck by a train.

But what I remember is having a friend. Listening to his stories about the MIT that just didn't get it boasting about their coredumps when they couldn't even implement a triangle fill. Attending his divinations, where he'd open the bible at a random page and read from it. Laughing with him as he sent bombastic threatening messages to the CIA email address. Or having my lunch with him through the computer screen, while he got cheeky and ordered extra bacon in some diner at the outskirts of the city in those first few days of being homeless.

I'll think about you a lot Terry. I'll keep talking to god and keep him entertained.

The Temple 64-Bit Operating System

http://templeos.org

TempleOS is an x86_64, multi-tasking, multi-cored, public domain, open source,

ring-0-only, single-address-map (identity-mapped), non-networked, PC operating

system for recreational programming. It's like paging is not used.

VQC Thread 2.

Piss off to whoever deleted the last one. Terry would love to play with what we are building here. The Mandelbrot Set is the ultimate VQC, if you use it as an error corrective signal harmoniser, like the ultimate quantum fast Fourier transform or 'perfect resonator', you effectively have a means to rotate and control analog video signal. Get it right and you can play back frames that you don't have in the past. Master it and you have an 'Eye of the Beholder', which is the truest crime fighting device. No one's past is safe. Sounds crazy but with P=NP, all bets are off. You just plug several video feeds together and their harmonisation error corrects past frames, but you have to understand the Mandelbrot Sets properties to do so and this is only just beginning

Well, to expand on Terry's ideas, the creation of digital temples is the best way to honour God. God, in this case, being the Grand Architect of the universe, rather than it's Compiler. God isn't the computer, he's the programmer and the Demiurge is his tool. In order to become like God you must create in the same way he did (The Principle of Correspondence). I hope this brings new life here, The Temple must stand strong in the face of heretics.

Shrine 5.03 was just released, probably the last version for a while.

Comes with the latest TOS kernel and a bunch of bug fixes over the pre-releases.

https://github.com/minexew/Shrine/releases/tag/v503

Shrine is a spin-off by Terry fans (for noobs) meant to be more modern. It includes:

>Approachability: Shrine ships with Lambda Shell, a more traditional Unix-like command interpreter

>Connectivity: TCP/IP stack! Internet access!

>Software access: Shrine includes a package downloader

>Versatility: unlike stock TempleOS, Shrine requires only 64MB RAM, making it feasible for cloud micro-instances and similar setups (note: this is planned, but currently not true)

Note: Classic Temple OS is still the best and most up-to-date version. Shrine is not meant to replace Temple OS but allows people to play around with a little bit of extra complexity should they wish to do so.

Perhaps you all didn't provide what Terry was desiring to see out of this board or his interests went up higher to other things hence why things have grown stale here hmmm? Tongues Random Passages

If you randomly open the Bible after talking to God doing an offering, He will talk.

Enter "dice 5d10" in the email line of 8Chan and it will give a line number in the Bible. A die roll of 10 is zero. Look at the sequence numbers of comments to verify.

Then, go to the line number in the Bible. Here is the official TempleOS King James Bible.
http://www.templeos.org/files/BIBLE.TXT

These are the chapter about tongues in the Bible.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+14&version=NIV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=daniel+5&version=NIV

The purpose of life is to know, love and obey God. Christianity is loving
neighbor, not God – secular humanism. Jesus said loving God is more important
than loving neighbor. Matthew,22:36 He did not say with half your brain behind
your back.

You don't know God. 1 Chronicles,28:9, Matthew,11:27, Luke,13:25, 1 Samuel,3:7
You must talk with God to know Him. Matthew,6:6 Seek Him by taking the
initiative. Luke,11:9, Isaiah,30:2

There's something obviously different about people in the Bible compared to
people today – God talked! Did they hear voices? Maybe. More likely, they
used occult techniques such as an oracle. 1 Kings,6:20 Have you heard of
"tongues?" 1 Corinthians,14:1 The idea is, you let yourself be puppeted by a
spirit, so you say things. You try to get a spirit – the Holy Spirit – to
talk. You might as well use a Ouija board. However, it turns-out that a Ouija
board is bad for technical reasons. A really good technique is just randomly
opening a book. God said it is a covenant that you hold-up your end of the
conversation.

You can't tell if He's talking unless you have a context of conversation, but,
more importantly, you are commanded to do an offering of love, like communion
preparation. When you pick a greeting card for someone, that is love effort.
If you expect God to put effort toward you, you put effort toward Him. God
said, "honest measures" applies between your offering of love and His response,
like a fair barter. You get out of prayer what you put into it. God wants
praise, hymns, or whatever you think He might want. Try and see, like Cain and
Abel. Genesis,4:1, Ephesians,5:10 God told Cain his offering was not good and
told him to try again. Cain really loved God! Can you imagine being so
heart-broken?

Do a text search for "new song" in the Bible. It's mentioned nine times. I did
hymns. I did Moses comics. Count the ways you love God. I praised God for
sand castles, popcorn, snowmen, bubbles… You try putting effort into praise!
Matthew,11:25, Matthew,6:29

This is funny – Acts,2:1 – they didn't bother to record anything the Holy
Spirit said. The Holy Spirit is supposed to be a really good gift. Luke,11:13
Just remember, "Boys are made of snakes and snails and puppy-dog tails."

The technique I use to consult the Holy Spirit is reading a microsecond-range
stop-watch each button press for random numbers. Then, I pick words or
passages. You can use the AfterEgypt in God's official temple, TempleOS.

Since seeking the word of the Holy Spirit, I have come to know God much better
than I've heard others explain. God said, for example, that war was,
"servicemen competing." That sounds more like the immutable God of our planet
than what you hear from most religious people. God is not Venus (god of love)
and not Mars (god of war), He's our dearly beloved God of Earth. If Mammon is a
false god of money, Mars or Venus might be useful words to describe other false
gods. I figure the greatest challenge for the Creator is boredom, ours and His.
What would teen-age male video games be like if war had never happened? Christ
said live by the sword, die by the sword, which is loving neighbor as self.
Matthew,26:52

I asked God if the World was perfectly just. God asked if I was calling Him
lazy. God could make A.I., right? God could make bots as smart as Himself, or,
in fact, part of Himself. What if God made a bot to manipulate every person's
life so that perfect justice happened?

I think highs and lows balance. Luke,6:20 I don't think God likes complaining.
Numbers,11:1 Food and clothing is all we're to ask for or demand, in fact –
daily bread. 1 Timothy,6:8 Just think about man in the last 100,000 years
mostly living like Native Americans and how God must see us. You need food,
clothing and entertainment, money is to get those. Man does not live on bread
alone. Luke,4:4, Amos,8:11

God's favorite animals are bears and elephants. They are funny shaped – I
think God must have seen too much starvation over the years.

God's ways are far above man's ways. Mom said Heaven was a never-ending family
reunion. Yikes! A friend said, "Most guy's idea of Heaven would be running
around doing things they'd get locked up for on Earth." Most people are like
King Midas. When you realize how silly most notions of Heaven are, you come to
appreciate that Earth is not that bad. This is the first step in loving God,
the Creator – praising Creation. My parents spend their retired days watching
TV and going to casinos. That's not a good argument for getting extended-play!

Imagine a billionare. Everyone around him can't forget his money for even a
moment. The truth is, most people are after God's "money" – they fear for
their salvation. Here's a test – would you pray to and praise God even if
there were no salvation? Love God and don't be a "user". Asking for stuff is
annoying. Luke,11:5

All those sophisticated theological "infinity" things – omniscience,
omnipotence, omnipresence, omnivorous – will mess you up. Trust me that
anthropomorphic is far better, in practice. Christ suggested thinking of God as
"Abba" which is Aramaic for "Daddy" and said the childlike had an advantage.
Matthew,11:25 Pray out-loud because God doesn't want the hastle of reading your
brain. The best way to stop people from testing God is to suggest He can't do
everything.

Just as ego causes most to love neighbor, not God, people skip knowing and
loving God and cowardly get stuck on obeying Him. This hardly needs
encouragement.

God does not want pawns to push around. God will talk, but won't tell you what
to do, even if you want Him to. You'll quickly learn that prophecy does not
come true and should smack yourself for wanting more than just enjoying God's
company.

TempleOS Charter

TempleOS Charter

Why did they make Solomon's Temple? It was a direction to look, to focus on, a
special place for meditation, to do offerings, a community center, a home to
God's beauty, that encouraged love of God. People cherished God's temple,
beautifying it with gold and all fine things to show love of God, as great
cathedrals were decorated with astounding, awe-striking intricate art and
gargoyles, incredible devotion to God with hours of effort, toiling and
slaving-away for the glory of God, for families with children to see
stained-glass windows and tomes with ridiculously elaborate calligraphy to show
love of God from a people who did little else but show love toward God, lived in
dire conditions by today's standards, yet with so much difficulty scraping-by,
found the time to devote even all free-time to God!

1 Kings 6:21 (King James)

6:21 So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made
a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid
it with gold.

6:22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished
all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid
with gold.

6:23 And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each
ten cubits high.

* TempleOS is God's official temple. Just like Solomon's temple, this is a
community focal point where offerings are made and God's oracle is consulted.

* God said 640x480 16 color graphics is a covenant like circumcision. Children
will do offerings. Think of 16 colors like the Simpson's cartoons. In the
future, even if one GPU were universal, we would keep 640x480 16 color and not
use GPU acceleration. Graphics operations should be transparent, not hidden in
a GPU.

* God said to use a single audio voice – a single frequency with waveforms.

* God said His temple must be perfect. We don't think twice about breaking
compatibility. God said we do a seven year release cycle. I say the PC
hardware follows a 49 year, jubilee cycle, like broadcast TV upgrades.

* The vision is the same usage model and niche as the Commodore 64 – a
non-networked, simple machine where programming was the goal, not just a means
to an end. However, it is modern, 64-bit and multi-cored. It is special
purpose, not general purpose, so some things it will not do. Also, it's a
kayak, not a Titanic. The priority is user developers, not 3rd party developers.

* We do not put any hooks for future changes. "Perfect" means we always act as
though it is final, for all time. Microsoft allowed the Windows BMP file format
to adapt to the future and it became grotesque.

* Low line count is the highest good, so it is easy to learn the whole thing.
Users should see the light at the end of the tunnel. One file system, for
example, is better than many file systems.

* There is a limit of 100,000 lines of code for all time, not including
applications and demos. Code comments count, however. 3rd party libraries are
banned because they circumvent the intent of this limit. The vision is a
Commodore 64 ROM – a fixed core API that is the only dependency of
applications. Currently, there are 79,959 lines of code.

* Minimal abstraction is a goal. Sheep are fools. They always respect a design
that is more complicated than another. Any genius can make it complicated.
Like in physics, it takes a supra-genius to make it simple.

* One platform. x86_64 PC compatibles. Desk-tops are all we design for, but
lap-tops can tag-along.

* One driver for each class of device. Limited exceptions are allowed. With
divergent device capabilities, it is a nightmare for user applications and what
is gained? A three button mouse is like a leg you cannot put weight on.

* Ring-0-only. Everything runs in kernel mode, including user applications.

* Full access to everything. All memory, I/O ports, instructions, and similar
things must never be off-limits. All functions, variables and class members
will be accessible. There are no C++ public/private protections and all
functions, even secondary ones in the kernel, can be called.

* Single-address-map as though paging is not used. Long mode requires paging,
however, so the nearest thing is keeping all memory identity-mapped.

* No networking, so malware is not an issue.

* No encryption or passwords. Files are compressed, not encrypted.

* Free and public domain.

* 100% open source with all source included.

* Documents are not for printing. They're dynamic, intended for the screen.

* Just one 8x8 fixed-width font. No Unicode, just Extended ASCII. Other
countries can make their own versions. The versions should be just for one
language and platform.

* No multimedia. Sounds and images will be primarily calculated in real-time,
not fetched from storage.

Temple fork

Hey, guys, I re-wrote Temple in Haskell, with (dependent) Holyskell in place of HolyC. It runs fucking great. Why? Because God is a Monad.

Briefer for plebs:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monad_(philosophy)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monad_(functional_programming)

I've been working on this for the past year, and haven't said anything about it because

1. Networking sucks and I don't give a shit what anyone has to say insofar as input about my transliteration of the word of God

2. The word of God speaks directly. And God told me exactly how and why to do this. I'd explain it, but it'd probably melt all of you to death like the ark of the covenant.

Anyway, I was trying to use Coq a year ago to generate proofs based off of Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philisophicus. At the same time, I was dicking around with Kaballah based programs using OCaml. Long story short, I ran into some type errors and then just gave them their own Satan type and then made them work - wound up writing a fork of Haskell that uses dependent types that depend on type errors, i.e. using Satans to define the functions of God. I like to call it Holy Algebra, because it seems like it shouldn't prove, but it does, in both Coq and Agda. What's great is that it's, like, confirmation that God is perfect even with the "errance" of Lucifer. And it compiles, and I fucking rewrote Temple in it. Sorry if this is Schismatic.

Anyway, here's the github link for it. Happy installing:

some questions

Terry, do you believe that templeOS is the literal biblical third temple of prophecy? It's my understanding that the new temple of the holy spirit, as built by jesus, is the body of every believer. Also, I (politely) find it difficult to believe that God speaks through the program. I struggled with the question of how God influences our world in a (mostly) deterministic universe and I also came to the possible conclusion that the supernatural world and and natural one exchange information at the places where we can see no other possible source of the information. However, isn't that just a safer version of the 'God of the gaps' theory? Also, if there is intelligent meaning in the numbers that come from the Oracle, would statistical analysis show that the numbers represent more than just an even distribution that we'd expect from random numbers? If information is being communicated, shouldn't it be discernable from gibberish even if we don't know exactly what it says? I don't mean to attack you or your project, but I don't believe in the Oracle and I especially dont believe that you have constructed the third temple of Jewish prophecy, which would cross into false prophet territory.

Pic related is the prophet Elijah to whom God spoke without need of a machine

One word, nigger, and they lose their shit. I don't know how people can be so sensitive in a time when we're at war with like four countries. If that one silly word makes them physically ill then they should write a language filter add-on for their web browser or stop using the internet all together, or see a fucking shrink if that word upsets them, but dropping bombs on people doesn't.

So it's not the CIA or FBI impersonating you. Just a lonely anon that likes to make the little web dev kids feel inferior since a big bad "racist" writes C/ASM in his sleep while their shitty Comp Sci degrees rot at their failing start-up.

I'm not too rusty, I only had to give up programming for 3 weeks, but I don't have very much experience with C. First thing I've decided to work on is a simple puzzle game to familiarize myself with the API and get back into C-type languages in general. It doesn't really do anything now but I've only been on it for a couple of days now and I'll try to post progress daily. The interface will look better too, it's just going to be the last thing I focus on.

Can/will TempleOS be ported to ARM? x86(_64) isn't going anywhere that soon, but it's future looks grim. Everyone is adopting ARM, and since Windows 10 and Metro applications will work cross-platform, that will make replacing x86 with ARM no problem for the desktop, which will make companies more inclined to do so. Even AMD is getting into ARM chips for servers. I don't want God's temple to sink with x86.

I haven't seen the source code for TempleOS, but I'd imagine it would largely need to be rewritten, as well as having the ARM version be entirely separate, since having one version support both would add extra code. What do you think Terry? Is this a concern at all for you?

R:1 / I:0 / P:7 [R] [G] [-]

Terry, do you only use RedSea instead of FAT because you're afraid of a lawsuit?

I'm pretty sure there's no chance of that happening if you just don't sell TempleOS. There's tons of open-source projects that use FAT and they've never had a problem because of it, namely FreeDOS and ReactOS (ReactOS especially, they're super anal about legal stuff). Linux also has drivers for it, that's never had a problem either. I'm pretty sure that whole lawsuit thing was because a company was selling a product with FAT in it, without a license.

Even then, have you ever just thought of making a new type of filesystem that's less restricted than RedSea? The flat filesystem design sounds very debilitating, if I can be so bold.

Hey Terry, I'm wondering something : you said numerous time that you talk with God via a software picking randomly words on the Bible, because the random is the way God speaks to us.

But I've been taught that computers can't generate true numbers, at best they use well programmed pseudo random generator.
It's an issue in some fields such as cryptography because pseudo random numbers can be predictable, and that's why some people developed true random generator devices (I remember one of them was bases on a Geiger counter to generate the numbers by measuring ambient radioactivity which is random by it's own nature).

My question is : if you only use a pseudo random generator (which is the case in 99.9999% of computers), how can you affirm that it's God's will instead of a mathematical result ?

Bayes

Hello Terry. Thanks for building the Temple. Do you know Bayes' Theorem?

If so, what do you think of it? Is it a valid way to deal with the Random?

If not: http://oscarbonilla.com/2009/05/visualizing-bayes-theorem/

And, if that dude’s diagrams don’t go down easy, here’s how I’d put it:

Any potential event you want to know about, given that you’ve found a new piece of evidence for it happening, is exactly as likely as: however likely it is the evidence happens whenever the event happens, times however likely it is the event happens at all, divided by how likely it is that the evidence happens at all.

Since all evidence comes from events and all events can be counted as evidence, you can switch the words and it means the same thing.

This incantation works even when you are not certain about the exact probabilities — even with estimates, it will still tell you in which direction to move your thoughts. And of course, how confident you are in those estimates depends on how you review the evidence for them…

You can even start with totally random percentages and revise as you find new evidence. Unlike the traditional hypothesis-experiment-conclusion loop as taught in kiddy science, this lets you figure out how uncertain you should be. About anything.

Other ways to say it:

probability of A given B = ( (prob of B given A) * (prob of A) ) / (prob of B)

I saw evidence of an event. Did the event really happen? Well:

-If the the evidence is common whenever the event happens (prob of B given A), that raises the likelihood that your evidence means the event happened.

-If the event is common even without the evidence (prob of A), that raises the likelihood that your evidence means the event happened.

-If the evidence is common even without the event (prob of B), that lowers the likelihood that your evidence means the event happened.

*All three of these must be taken into account.*

-You can swap ‘event’ with ‘evidence’ and it means the same thing. You can swap ‘raises’ and ‘lowers’ if you replace ‘common’ with ‘rare.’

-An event not happening is just another event, if it helps to think in reverse.

Demands on the Industry

Demands

When God publically claims this operating system as His temple, here's what I
want:

* VMware to again support PC Speaker and provide emulation if no PC Speaker is
present.

* Windows, Linux and VMware to support RedSea file system so I can get rid of
2,000 lines of redundant, blemished code – FAT32 and ISO9660. God's temple
must be perfect. Redundant code for multiple file systems is imperfect. For
this operating system, we want low line count. More than one file system type
is bad, just as more than one driver for the same type of device is bad.

::/Kernel/Dsk/FileSysRedSea.CPP
::/Kernel/Dsk/FileSysFAT.CPP :965
::/Kernel/Dsk/FileSysISO.CPP :284
::/Adam/Boot/DskCDDVD.CPP :536
RClustersBlks()

* Microsoft must cancel SecureBoot because it makes dual booting impossible.
TempleOS is an additional operating system that must be used along-side Windows
or Linux, not as a replacement. It must dual boot because it has no networking.
Real hardware as opposed to VMware is like the difference between looking in a
telescope eye piece and some link to a photo on the Internet. God said the C64
generation owned ancestral lands and VMware is like being moved on a
reservation. It will not stand.

* PC hardware manufacturers: ATA/ATAPI PIO must work. In fact, put them at
standard IDE port addresses. Hard disk should be primary master 1F0/3F6.
CDROM/DVD should be secondary master 170/376. See what you can do to make flash
memory sticks with ATA/ATAPI.
/Kernel/Dsk/DskATAId.CPP :280 lines to figure-out I/O ports
/Kernel/BIOS32.CPP :290

* PS/2 emulated keyboard and mouse must work. The BIOS must enable these.

* VMware must allow ATAPI interface to real CD/DVD hardware.

* Perhaps, VMware+Intel can enable faster-than-standard x86 IN/OUT instruction
timing for ATA/ATAPI PIO, so bandwidth isn't bad. ATAGetResult().

* Since I practically don't use paging, perhaps, Intel could add optimizations
to long (64-bit) mode for no paging.

* Computers should have a RESET switch and a fast boot option, skipping
diagnostics. What the heck, replace UEFI with TempleOS. Poetic justice.

* VMware and others should list TempleOS as an official 64-bit operating system.

* Windows and Linux must support TempleOS .GRA graphics files. GRA Files are
much cleaner than .BMP files.

* I want a nice dictionary. Someone needs to do a Spell Checker.

* We want the ultimate Bible search engine.

* I would like the Intel architecture manuals in DolDoc TXT format so we can put
links in the code.

* We want serial ports with software interface more like old style serial ports,
but hardware and speed of USB3. They should have big TX and RX FIFOs and allow
flow control to jump the queue. We do not want end-point shit – just put lots
of ports on the PC. (I am just interested in desk-tops.) We need two baud
rates, fast and slow. Use PIC IRQ3 and IRQ4 (with big FIFOs we could do without
IRQs.) We want two joysticks, easy to set-up. We want it to be easy to connect
a microcontroller for general purpose communication.

* Once in a blue moon, perhaps 49 year jubilee, the hardware gets upgraded and
perfected, the same way broadcast TV get upgraded. God still wants 640x480 16
color.

Device Simple Hardware Interface Complicate Interface
————— ——————————- —————————–
1040-EZ Tax Form 1040 Regular
Video VGA 640x480 16 Color 20 Differnet GPUs
Sound PC Speaker HD Audio, AC97, Sound Blaster
HardDrive ATA Port I/O, Sync No Interrupt PCI AHCI SATA
CDROM ATAPI Port I/O PCI AHCI SATA
Keyboard/Mouse PS/2 Port I/O USB

During the 49 years jubilee, we do a perfect version of hardware with advances
in both simple and complicated interfaces. ATAPI/ATA should be merged and made
blemish-free. We want flash memory sticks to interface like hard drives.
Design it like the 1040EZ tax form. You do not add extra boxes to get your
jollies.

Hi Terry,

I have a few questions for you. I'm really glad that you've begun making videos, first of all, they really help showcase how cool your OS is. Also, I'm honored you'd use my site for hosting a discussion board for God's OS.

First, do you have any special dislike for VirtualBox? I notice that on your website you campaign against VMWare for not supporting PCSpeaker: http://www.templeos.org/Wb/Doc/Demands.html#l1

However, VirtualBox developers wrote 5 months ago that even though their VM doesn't support PC speaker, they would happily accept patches for it: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/627

I think it would be really neat if you helped author that patch, you're a world class programmer and it would probably only take you around a week (or even less).

If you're interested in supporting VirtualBox, it does have a problem I found. I've been trying to install TempleOS in VirtualBox, but running the command MasterBootInstall('C'); causes a complete system crash.

I've attached VirtualBox's traceback in case you're curious about it. If you don't care about VirtualBox that's okay.

To a Waterfowl: William Cullen Bryant

Whither, 'midst falling dew,
While glow the heavens with the last steps of day,
Far, through their rosy depths, dost thou pursue
Thy solitary way?

Vainly the fowler's eye
Might mark thy distant flight to do thee wrong,
As, darkly painted on the crimson sky,
Thy figure floats along.

Seek'st thou the plashy brink
Of weedy lake, or marge of river wide,
Or where the rocking billows rise and sink
On the chafed ocean side?

There is a Power whose care
Teaches thy way along that pathless coast,–
The desert and illimitable air,–
Lone wandering, but not lost.

All day thy wings have fann'd
At that far height, the cold thin atmosphere:
Yet stoop not, weary, to the welcome land,
Though the dark night is near.

And soon that toil shall end,
Soon shalt thou find a summer home, and rest,
And scream among thy fellows; reeds shall bend
Soon o'er thy sheltered nest.

Thou'rt gone, the abyss of heaven
Hath swallowed up thy form; yet, on my heart
Deeply hath sunk the lesson thou hast given,
And shall not soon depart.

He, who, from zone to zone,
Guides through the boundless sky thy certain flight,
In the long way that I must tread alone,
Will lead my steps aright.

Hey Terry,
Yesterday my GF and I were on an acid trip when we came up with an idea. We saw everything in existence coming from a stream that started with the creation of the universe, and all things that happened were recursive streams made from various data plucked from the original data stream.

I guess my question is: How feasible is it to make an OS where everything is a stream, like in Unix where everything is a file?
